Meerab was in the hall and was about to go to her only room which was her sukoon in this big haveli after her marriage.

When one of the mulazims of the haveli came towards her .

Fauzia: Meerab Bibi ji .. she called her out from behind.

Meerab looked behind and then turned swiftly on her heels correcting her dupatta.

Meerab : haan bolo fauzia kuch kaam tha ?

Fauzia: ji Bibi ji voh maa begum ne mujhse kaha ki main apse puch lun ki aaj raat ke dinner main kya banega . She said looking down in respect.

Meerab : hmm 🤔 kuch bhi bana lein main kya batau isme Jo sabko pasand ho bana lein. And was about to go when fauzia again spoke .

Fauzia: maaf karein Bibi ji per maa begum ne kaha tha ki Jo aap kaheingi ab se wahi ghar main banega . Agar aap bata deti toh acha hota . She looked down again when meerab looked at her .

Meerab: ohhh toh yeh baat hai .. acha bataye murtasim ko kya kya pasand hai aur baki sabko . ?

Fauzia gasped hearing that she wants to make fish . She tried to say something when meerab says .

Meerab: kya kuch kehna hai ? Koi problem hai meri batai dish main ?

Fauzia: Bibi ji bura na mane voh Ghar main kabhi fish nhi bani hai maa begum ne mana Kiya hai Ghar mein fish nhi banegi .

Meerab : ohhh ... Toh tum muja mana karogi haan yaha ki khanum main hun aur tumne mujhe khud bola na maa begum ne kaha hai Ghar main wahi banega jo main chahungi toh it's my order fauzia jao aur jaker meri batai dish ki taiyari karo I don't want any ifs and buts. She said with strict voice and hard face this time .

Fauzia frowns while meerab moves towards their room. Upon reaching she finds murtasim in the room sitting on the sofa and working on some files.

Murtasim: aao welcome aboard Mrs Khan .

Meerab : aaj maa begum ne muja dinner banane ko bola tha toh main khud tumhare liya .... I.... I mean sabke liya banaya hai .. bhut dil se banaya hai toh kya tum hum dono ki ladai ko side rakh ker khaoge ? Agar khaoga toh mujha bhut acha lagega . She asked with hope as she was really trying to hide her pain and adjust with the rules of the haveli she had to live in forever .

Murtasim: tumne banaya hai ? Sach keh rahi ho ? Agar tumhe isse khushi milagi toh main zarur khaunga meerab aur vese bhi agar tum request nhi bhi karti na main tab bhi khata tumhara banaye khane ko after all meri officially wedded wife ne mera liya opps sorry sabke liya itne dil se pyar se khana jo banaya hei .

Meerab : haan maine banaya hai . Sach main bhut Khushi hogi . And thank you mera dil rakhna ke liya I hope tumhe mera banaya khana pasand aayega. With a smile she looked at him and then left for getting fresh and after sometime she came in kitchen and made all the food she told fauzia.

By the dinner time she told all the mulazims to present the dinner in the dining room and she herself went to call everyone.

All came and sat on their respective chairs. One of the head seat maa begum was sitting opposite to her Anwar then mariyam, beside her haya was sitting while Murtasim came while talking on call so he sat in front of maa begum on the other head seat like a king .

As soon as maa begum saw fish the colour of her face drained out . Even others were not much happy .

Meerab saw everyone's face and felt as if she did something wrong. Her heart sank from the looks all were giving .

Meerab : k... Kya hua maa begum aap sab esa kyun dekh rahe hain khaiya na main .. main serve karti hun .

Maa begum: tumne fish kyun banai hai meerab tumhe kisi ne bataya nhi ki ghar per fish nhi banti hai ?

Meerab : ji bataya tha per muja laga inke haath ki fish pasand nhi hogi murtasim ko isliya mana karta hai toh maine khud apna hathon se aap sab ke liya dinner banaya tha . Kuch aur bhi baat hai kya Jo mujha pata honi chahiye thi ? She asked fearing this time . She had no energy to get insulted again .

Anwar : voh ... Before he could murtasim said ..

Murtasim: chacha sahab kya aap sab bhi kya baat leker baith gaye hai mujha fish pasand nhi toh iska matlab yeh nhi ki ghar per kabhi fish nahi banegi . Meri wajh se aap sab kyun apna man pasand cheeza chod rahe hai. Chahiya meerab ne sabke liya itna man se banaya hey Kam se kam kha ker uska Maan hi rakh lein .

Maa : per beta tumhe toh ...

Murtasim: maa sahab aap kyun pareshan ho rahi hai muja kuch nhi hoga ab main bada ho gaya hun ab kuch nhi hoga muja voh bachpan ki baat thi . I will be fine .

Meerab was still worried as she looked at maa begum and murtasim was still not eating While every one was eating.

Meerab : maa begum aap please muja bataye murtasim ko fish nhi pasand ya phir kuch aur bhi baat hai ? Aap aur murtasim khana kyun nhi kha rahe hain . ?

Maa : meerab voh actually murtasim ko fish se allergy hai bachpan main ek baar khai toh pata chala tha tab se aaj Tak Ghar per fish ki koi bhi dish nhi bani hai . Aur Aaj tumne fish banai toh thoda achambha hua .

Meerab : kyaaaa ... Allergyyy ...... she was shocked 🤯. Murtasim tumne muja pehle hi bata dena chahiye tha na dekhta hi kyun nhi bola . No doubt she was upset that for the first time she made something and here she got to know he was allergic to it .

Murtasim: it's okay meerab muja kuch nhi hoga maa sahab esa hi tension le rahi hai. Aur after all the dinner is made by you kaisa nhi khaunga . Aao mera pass aaker baitho we will eat together. Tum yeh sab bhul jao aur mera sath dinner enjoy Karo

Meerab : per murtasim... tum kaisa .... Aa ... are you sure ? Please don't risk it on your health nahi toh main tumhare liya kuch aur banwa deti hun tum yeh rehna do agar tumhari tabiyat kharab ho gai toh. main bolti hun fiza ko tumhare liya sausages bana degi .

Murtasim: oho meerab relax okay kuch nhi hoga I want to eat fish only please relax. And then served food in her plate and then for himself in his . He relished his palate as if it was the most tastiest dish ever he ate in this household.

After eating food he wasn't feeling well but he hides it as he doesn't want to upset meerab more . He could see how happy she was when she requested him to eat what she made for dinner . She was practically excited to hear good response from it but now she was feeling dull . He really loved what she made and wanted to eat more but he can't due to his allergy.

Soon after having dinner they all returned to their room. Meerab changed her clothes and laid on her side while after sometime murtasim too went avd changed his clothes and laid beside her .

Meerab in her mind : dekho toh zara Aram se fish bhi kha Gaya aur dono mas beta bolta hei allergy hai aur ab bina hazam kiya Aram se Aram farma rahe hai janab huh bade aaye fish pasand nhi inhe .

Suddenly murtasim was feeling suffocation and removed his duvet and frequently rubbing his chest . He even opened his kurta's button but nothing worked. Now he was sweating profusely.

Meerab who was sleeping now turned around and suddenly got up hearing some sound. When she got up she saw Murtasim was vomiting 🤢🤮.. she panicked looking at him .

Meerab: murtasim kya hua tumhe.? Yeh kya haal bana liya tumne ? Maine mana kiya tha na tumne kyun khai fish ? Oh God ab kya karu .... She was in too much pressure. And within seconds he was unconscious. Meerab felt her breath hitched in her throat.

She started calling him tapping on his cheeks.

MURTASIM MURTASIM MURTASIM UTHO ... MURTASIM DEKHO PLEASE MAZAK MAT KARO MERA SATH AGAR YEH TUMHARA KOI MAZAK HAI NA TOH ABHI UTH JAO MUJA BILKUL ACHA NHI LAG RAHA HAI . She asked him .

But he didn't wake up so she felt tears cascading down her eyes touching her fluffy cheeks without her knowledge. When the salty tears touches her lips and tasted her own tears she got to know she was crying 😭. She immediately wiped her tears and thought what to do now, whom to call .

Meerab : maa begum ko bulau nahi nhi mariyam ko bula leti hun arey nahi voh chudail haya toh ilzaam laga degi mujhe per aur maa begum ko bataker muja hi beghar na kar de . So without thinking further her steps took her towards Anwar's room to whom she didn't even bother to call or accept as her father .

She tapped his rooms door in order to wake him up.

Meerab : please darwaza kholein .. she cried out of fear . She was fearing what if she lose murtasim too . She had already lost so much in her life now she can't lose him. She had only him in her life now.

Anwar opens the door after few seconds and looked at Meerab with concern.

Anwar : meerab beta tum yaha is wakt kya hua hai tum ro kyun Rahi ho ?

Meerab : wo. .. she tried to speak but couldn't as her throat dried . She pointed towards her room and with much difficulty she says usse bacha lein please 🥺.. usse kuch hua toh main kuch ko maaf nahi kar paungi .

Anwar: kya bol rahi ho meerab kya hua hai . ? But before he could understand that about whom she was talking about he saw her dragging him towards her room. When he saw Murtasim he immediately understood about whom she was talking.

Meerab ran towards murtasim and tried to wake him up again. Anwar came and said meerab pareshan mat ho voh theek ho jayega esa karo muja medical kit Laker do usme iski dawai hogi.

Meerab immediately left for search the medical box . After few minutes she came with the box in her hand and Anwar took it and taking the medicine he gave it back and placed the tablet in his mouth.

Anwar: meerab Pani do . She gave him and he made him drink it and placed him properly on the mattress.

Meerab : murtasim theek toh ho jayega na ? Usse kuch hoga toh nhi ?

Anwar: meerab murtasim ko kuch nhi hua hai bas allergy ka asar hai dawai di hai na ab voh subha Tak theek ho jayega tum jaker ab so jao . Subha Tak usse hosh aa jayega . He placed him hand on her head softly .

For him it was a special moment when meerab herself came on his doorstep and asked his help and holds his hand till they entered her room. He will always cherish this little moment as he knows no sooner this moment coming back.

On locking her room after he left she sits beside him and says ..

Meerab : murtasim I am really sorry mera irada tumhe dard pahunchana nhi thaa main sapna main bhi tumhe esi saza dena ka soch bhi nhi sakti . Haan bhut ladai karti hun tumse per yeh nhi chaha tha tumhara liya. Tumne kyun khai voh fish bol rahi thi na kuch aur banwa deti hun. Mera Dil rakhna ke liya bhi kyun khai zarurat nhi thi iski . I am sorry please theek ho jao tumhara alawa is duniya main Mera koi nhi hai murtasim. Tum theek nhi hua toh main kissa ladai karungi kon muja maa begum ke gussa se bachayega . Kon ... She cried again . She was holding his hand the whole night near her heart.

She didn't sleep for a minute. If she sleeps she gets a nightmare that he left her alone in this world to deal with the people who doesn't like her . So she just focused on his face watching him sleep with peace this time . She even opened a few more buttons of his kurta and switches on the AC for better ventilation.

Next morning when murtasim woke up feeling a bit cold now and the sun rays were peeping through the curtains which were flowing due to cooling waves of air . And when he was about to get up he felt a tug on his arm so his eyes lingered where his arm was tangled.

He noticed that meerab was sleeping uncomfortably in a sitting position with his under her chin securely holding it like if she looses her grip he will flee away . Watching her holding him in her death grip for the first time and her staying real close to him making him feel better already . The butterflies 🦋 were running like a havoc in his tummy .

His eyes were not agreeing to look away from her enchanting beautiful glowing face . Her raven black hair were flowing on her cheeks disturbing her sleep . Without waking her up he slids those locks behind her ear . When he saw her chubby cheeks he could sense she was crying because there were tear marks visible on them while her lashes still carry few tear droplets . Unknowingly a tear escaped her eyes again which made him startled.

Now he was sure that she hadn't slept a minute at night . So first he made her lay down properly and then wipes her tears with his tender finger tip not wanting to wake his wife just now . When he lay her her grip over his arm loosen so he took it as a chance to take it away . Though he could stay like this laying in her arms forever but he knows the minute she will wake up she won't like this so he himself got away from her and went to get ready for the day . Before going he switched off the AC and opened the windows sliding the curtains.

Here murtasim got ready and was smiling ear to ear remembering the morning moment he spent with his sleeping beauty. He was making his hair when he saw meerab waking up . He turned around and saw her almost panicked .

Murtasim: meerab are you okay ? Why so panicked early in the morning. He asked in his deep and husky voice .

Meerab looked up at his face then in his eyes and again on all over his face as if trying to pacify herself that he is fine in his all glory.

Murtasim: meerab kuch toh bolo theek ho tum ?

Meerab came out of her thoughts and says ..

Meerab : main ... Mujha kya hoga main bilkul theek hun aur vese bhi bimar main nhi tum the toh tum bolo tum theek ho . ? She asked him hiding her anxiety.

Due to high rate of heartbeat she was breathing too fast as to gain much of air force within her. He could see her restlessness but he couldn't figure out the cause nor he could ask her directly as he knows she won't open up to him this easily.

Murtasim: hmm ... Main theek hun ab .. main neecha hun taiyar hoker aa jao.

Meerab : ha ... Haan tum ... She breathes heavily and says tum jao main aati hun .

Here he was still thinking about meerab's behaviour and reached drawing room and sits on the head seat . He was so worried about her health that he couldn't completely focus on his files .

Other side meerab called in kitchen and told them to clean their room and went to get ready for the day.

After sometime she came out and started getting ready when fiza came and asked if she can clear the room . In the presence of meerab she cleaned whole room and changed the bed sheets .

Fiza : Bibi ji sab ho gaya hai ek baar dekh lein .

Meerab turned and saw everything was on point so she said theek hai tum jao aur chicken soup, sausages and daliya banane ki taiyari karo main aati hun.

Fiza : ji khanam. She bows in front of her in respect and leaves .

Here in haste she forgot to take her anti anxiety pills which she was feeling since last night and came downstairs and then straight away left to the kitchen to make breakfast for murtasim and herself.

On the other hand when haya was heading down to the hall she found fiza coming from murtasim's room . She stopped her and asked ..

Haya : fiza tum yaha murtasim ke room main kya karna hai thi ?

Fiza : baaji voh khan raat main ulti kar rahe the toh meerab Bibi ji ne room saaf karne bulaya tha .

Haya : kyaaaaa... Usse raat main ulti Hui aur neerab ne kisi ko batana zaruri bhi nhi samjha. Phir kuch sambhalte hua theek hai khabardaar yeh baat kisi ko pata chali toh aur maa begum ko toh bilkul nhi pata chalna chahiye. Samjhi .?

Fiza : ji baaji .

Haya reached in the living room and saw Anwar and maa begum were talking. She thought to tell her now only about meerab's infidelity.

Maa begum : hmm bolo kuch kaam hai kyu khadi ho humare sar par?

Haya : maa begum voh baat esi hai ki muje pata chala hai ki murtasim ki tabiyat kharab ho gai thi raat main usse ulti bhi Hui aur yaha meerab ne hum mein sa kisi ko kuch batana munasib nhi samjha . On the other side meerab made food for the two and took it in the drawing room where murtasim was present.

Maa begum gasped and looked angry at Meerab for not telling her about her son's health. She was about to move towards meerab to blast on her for not telling her and making him eat fish even after her telling her he has an allergy with it.

Anwar stops her and says bhabhi begum please mat jaaiya kuch nhi hua hai murtasim ko bhut khayal rakha hai meerab ne uska . Raat main aai thi mera pass bhut ro rahi thi. Maine dekha hai kaisa tadap haii thi uski halat dekh ker. Main janta hun aap bhut fikr main hai per ab voh theek hai raat main maine khud murtasim ko dawa di thi .

Bhabhi aap bhi thoda meerab ko samajhne ki koshish kare voh sab kuch bhul kar hum sab ke beech reh Rahi hai apna dard bhul ker ek khanam hone ka kisi ki biwi hona ka har farz bina kisi complain ke nibha rahi hai . abhi uski shadi ko wakt hi kitna hua hai . Dheera dheera sambhalna aa jayega usse sab . Agar hum usse abhi kuch kahenga toh usse bura lagega aur shayad voh humse aur dur ho jaaye .

Kahegi kuch nhi per phir bhi bura lagega usse kyuki voh adjust karne ki koshish kar rahi hai bina kisi shart ke . Please bhabhi begum mera liya na sahi murtasim ke khatir hi usse kuch na kahe aur thoda wakt de usse sambhalna ka sath hi usper thoda aitbaar karin . Agar hum usper trust hi nahi karenge toh usse Bahu ka darja toh kya shayad hum usse is ghar ki beti hona ki izzat bhi nhi de payenge. Aap bhi ek maa hai maa ban kar hi usse samjhe . Aap usse apnapan dein pyar de dekhna voh apko pal main apna bana legi .

Maa begum thought about it and said hmmm baat toh sahi keh rahe ho tum . And they started talking again about the topic they were discussing earlier before haya came .

In the room both murtasim and meerab were talking.. or rather say murtasim was teasing her as always to irk her to no end .

Meerab : yeh lo tumhare liya chicken soup sausages and daliya banaya hai . Kha lo behtar feel karoga .

Murtasim: kya baat hai shauhar per bada pyar aa raha hai aaj . Tumne banaya hai mera liya ? He asked with a hint is mischief and twinkle in his eyes.

Meerab : oh hello zada hawa main udhna ki zarurat nahi hai yeh maine nahi banaya hai banwaya hai . Ab tumhari kal tabiyat theek nhi thi isliya tumhari pasand ko dekh ker yeh sab banwaya hai . But in her heart she knows she can't lie to him . Aur rahi baat pyar ki toh tum per main pyar kyun lutana lagi duniya main aur bhi bhut kaam hai mera pass pyar lutana ke alawa .

Murtasim knows she won't agree that she was very much worried about his health and cried all night for his wellbeing.

Murtasim eats the food given by her and asks tumne khaya kuch ? Aur tum kuch pareshan si lag rahi thi subha kuch baat hai toh batao mujha .

Meerab : umm nhi abhi nhi khaya voh bhook nhi lagi abhi main kha lungi jab man hoga anyways koi pareshani nhi hai mujha tum bas esa hi over observe kar rahe ho.

Murtasim: vese ek baat kehni toh padegi muja .. tum cute bhut lag rahi thi MERA NAAM LETA HUA MURTASIM MURTASIM UTHO MURTASIM, I AM SORRY JUST WAKE UP ... he has a beautiful teasing smile on his face now watching her shocked big o face . And complete his food. And was now having soup .

Meerab : haww you cheater ... Tum natak kar rahe the ..? Tum meri batein sun rahe the? Main tumhe chodungi nahin dekh lena .

Murtasim: haan please bilkul mat chodna muja . He said with a puppy eyes . Aur main koi cheating nhi kar raha tha thoda thoda hosh main tha main jab tum mujha uthana ki koshish kar rahi thi. Vese ek baat toh batao jis tarah tum mera naam pukar rahi thi murtasim murtasim kahi tumhe mujha mohabbat toh nhi ho gai hai ?

Meerab : what ..... Mohabbat aur voh bhi tumse.... mujha tumse mohabbat hogi yeh tumhari khushfemi hai .... haha never main tumse mohabbat toh nahi kar sakti haina nahi ho sakti na ? Mohabbat koi Jadu ki chadi thodi hai kisi ne ghumai aur samne Wale ko ho gai .

Murtasim: arey kya baat kar rahi ho mohabbat khud hi ek Jadu ki chadi hai jise yeh chadu chu leti hai usse mohabbat se ishq ka safar baandh hi leta hai . isme itna shocked hone ki kya baat hai mohabbat mohabbat hoti hai kabhi kisise bhi kahi bhi ho sakti hai uska koi bhi specific time ya jagah nhi hoti bas ho jati hai voh apko bata kar thodi hoti hai. Main jaa rahi hun hhuhh ... She makes a face and stands to leave when haya comes in the room .

Murtasim smiles at her irritating face . He thinks that he got successful in diverting her mind from whatever she was thinking about and crying last night or on whatever she was feeling uneasy in the morning.

Meerab was already not feeling well and here in the morning she saw haya whom she has a deep repugnance for life .

Meerab : haan bolo ab kya hai karne aai ho yaha ? Aghhhh ab do pal insaan sukoon se ab jee bhi nahi sakta is ghar main . Ek baat batao kya tum Miya biwi ke beech ki baatein bhi sunna aaogi . Muja toh samajh nhi aata chahti kya ho tum ab kya main kuch wakt sukoon se apna shauhar ke sath baith bhi nhi sakti . Kya musibat hai hato yaha se mujha jana do mera tumse ladna ka subha subha koi mood nhi hai. Aur tum zada battisi na dikhao aur yeh dawai lo aur Aram karo .

Before meerab could go out haya taunts her loudly ..

Haya : haan haan dekho toh bol bhi kon Raha hai jisne apna shauhar ko shauhar hona ka haq tak nhi diya hai jisse tum apna shauhar nhi manti usse tum aaj Miya Miya kar ke pukar rahi ho . Aur mujha tanne de rahi ho ko main tumhara sukoon cheen rahi hun. Voh tum hi thi na jisne kal machali banai thi aur murtasim ko voh tumhara Dil rakhna ke liya khani padi aur usi manhoos machali ke Karan usse ulti Hui uski itni tabiyat kharab Hui per tumne ek baar bhi kisi ko bola nhi . Tumhara bas chale ho usse maar hi dogi ek din . Tum toh usse mohabbat bhi nhi karti ho toh tumhe koi farak bhi nhi padhta ki voh Zinda ho ya murda .

Meerab : HAYAAAAAAA .. meerab shouts or rather says roars like a wounded lioness. Her eyes red , cheeks contours in and hands clenched in fists digging her long nails inside her palms hurting her .

Upon hearing the shouts Anwar and maa begum comes running looking at both the girls fight like cats . They could see meerab too angry to listen anything. Anwar helplessly looks at murtasim to handle the situation.

Meerab : bas bhut ho gaya tumhara haya aaj ke baad agar tumne Mera shauhar ke baare main kuch bhi bakwas ki toh jaan se maar dungi tumhe . Voh mera Miya hain main chahe usse mohabbat Karu ya nafrat, use uske haq dun na ya na dun , usse zinda rakhu ya ... She left the sentence in the middle as she couldn't attend the last line that she let him die . It's none of your business miss haya .

Everyone could see the fire within her . Her demeanour was demanding and the aura was comparatively the same as Murtasim.

She hurriedly leaves towards her room and tried to find her medicines as she was having complete high anxiety and panic rose jumping her heart in splits. Her head was spinning tears falling continuously from her eyes like a river. She didn't even found her airpump as she was gasping for air too harshly.

Murtasim tum jao meerab ko dekho isse kaisa deal karna hai main dekh lungi . Meerab bhut gussa main gai hai kahi khud ko kuch kar na le .

Here in her room meerab had entered in shower to lessen the pain building up in her chest and cool down her heart rose up in her body with the anxiety to flee away from her shivering body . The tears were still streaming down her eyes . Lips still struggling to breathe normally. Clothes drenched in cold water while standing under it her body felt weak and light . when she fainted she couldn't figure it out as her eyes got hazy within seconds moreover she was already throbbing. Water was still running over her petite body but she didn't mind it .

As soon as Murtasim came inside the room he saw all the room was plundered haphazardly as if some Strom came here. He could hear the running of water on the bathroom. He immediately took big steps and reached the door . He knocks the door in anticipation and calls her out with bated breath.

Murtasim: Meerab meerab tum ander ho please bhar aao . Dekho maa ne usse samjha Diya hai. Tum .. tum please darwaza kholo esa darao mat . He was continuously banging the door but she was not responding to him . Many unholy thoughts were coming in his mind which gave him shivers down his spine. At the same time everyone comes inside his room asking about meerab .

Maa : murtasim meerab ? She spoke only her name .

Murtasim: voh ander hai maa na darwaza khol Rahi hai na jawab de Rahi hai mujha bhut dar lag raha hai kahin kuch ...

Anwar : nahi nhi nahi esa kuch nahi hoga . Tum ... Tum esa karo .. he stammered .. ki darwaza todh do dekhi jayegi Jo hoga.

Maa : haan murtasim aur ko rasta nhi hai todh do darwaza.

Murtasim was about to break the door when mariyam said bhai ek baar dekh to lein ki darwaza lock bhi hai muja nahi lagta darwaza lock hoga .

Murtasim thought she had a point so before breaking the door he extended his hand towards the door and no doubt it was already open .

When he reaches inside what he saw took his breath away .. he could not move an inch from the place where he was standing. He kept watching the water flowing over her body .. he was numb and mind got blocked tears bubbled up in his eyes , legs shaking , hands got sweaty, lips quivering.
