Murky crochet
(17/04/2023)
Lilah walks, sunny balm—
Kissing her cheeks, warm left
her ambient patchouli.
Ponytails swing from left
to the right.
Like shaking snakes,
in the city ways.
Measure of time,
Measure of past waltzes,
She pass upon their tremulous feet,
Sweetened air, creepy streets
But—
Lilah must go on.
Her earthen eyelids get heavy,
dimming with sleep,
Jerk in the corner,
Lilah drops her head—
yet treads.
The clouds play hide
and seek,
rays radiant glow in cheeks,
you know, she used
to cradle tears, when the passing
light used to pass things.
out of an alley, upon staggered heels
somehow past midnight reels.
Lights begin to creep,
She starts to sing,
All these have been loved,
Over time, everything moved.
She's happy, she's sapphire—
enchanted by passionate dusk,
she almost withers musk.
Fever of sleepless dreams,
woken up with swift trims,
Shakes huddle things,
her bags of lavender dropped,
she wished if her—
mother was here.
Taproom of noisy light,
matches with hour-less night,
She drags her feet, hair
waves by gentle lapping.
The candles lit again,
Vague of bones caught—
in the doorway.
Lilah walks, sunny balm
kissing her cheeks.
