Well, I mainly try and explain them away or I have to abandon/rewrite plots.

For example, when I first started Damsel in Distress, I had only a glimpse of the superhero universe I have now, and I introduced superpowers in a different way than they appear in Heroes wear Capes. Sometimes I wanted to do a certain plot line, but based on the previous material I had, it didn't make sense. In books without an established backbone, like Haunted and Psychic, I was able to avoid them more often. I write ahead of what I post, so if I ever get an idea that would need me to change something I've already written, I can usually go back far enough in the book to make it happen.
