Chapter 26

3rd person

in nohr with Xander and his retainers.

"Laslow, Peri.... I must speak with you two" Xander said to both of his retainers.

"yes, lord Xander! I assume this is about lord Corrin and Lady Kamui and their allies. where will we be engaging the enemy?" Laslow asked.

"ooh. I can't wait for then to get here! when does the stabby party begin?!" Peri asked smiling.

"the two of you will remain here. this isn't your fight." Xander said.

"what?! but I wanna spill someone's blood! this is important!" Peri said angerly.

"are you concerned that we're not up to that task, milord?" Laslow asked, a bit of shock in his voice.

"no. that's not it at all. I have full faith in both of you, as ever. however, I must face Corrin and Kamui in a single combat. that is the only way to limit unnecessary casualties. enough blood has been spilled. that's why I need you two to remain here. help keep the nahrian soldiers at bay." Xander said.

"I see. but, miloed...how do you know that the twin will agree to your terms? I don't trust those hoshido brigands one bit. we should be near by...just in case." Laslow said.

"I agree! that way I can pop out and kill anyone you need me to!" Peri said with a grin.

"I won't say this again. you are to stay behind in this room. period." Xander said angerly.

"aww..." Peri said sadly.

"but lord Xander..." Laslow said.

"look. I trust the two of you, more than you even know. that is why i'm asking you to help me in this way. we've fought valiantly together, and I will always cherish my memories with you both." Xander said, with a smail then back into a poker face.

"why are you saying these things? this isn't good-bye..." Laslow said.

"yeah... I don't like this." Peri said.

"i'm afraid we're out of time. I must go." Xander said, as he headed to the door were the small area is.

"wait, lord Xander..." Peri said, about to follow him, but Xander stopped her, with a glare.

"no! you're not to leave this room, is that clear?" Xander asked.

"yes, milord..." Laslow said, and with that Xander left.

"this isn't how it's supposed to be...what's going on Laslow?" Peri asked her friend.

"I don't know. but we must follow lord Xander's orders...." Laslow said.

~now with Cookie and Friends!~

Corrin, Kamui, Kagura, Elise, Cookie, Ryoma and Azura ran into the arena near King Garon's thrown room.

everyone began to huff after they ran so much except Cookie because she can fly (sorry not sorry ;3)

"are we almost there?" Corrin asked js two younger sibling-Elise and Cookie.

"yes, Father's room is at the top of this tower." Elise said.

"we're close, I can feel it" Cookie said.

"thank you both." Kamui said patting Elise and Cookie's heads.

"perhaps we should rest for a moment before ascending." Corrin said., earning a nod from his twin.

"we've all been through a lot just to get here." Kamui said.

just then Azura saw something behind the twins.

"that is an excellent idea, but sadly. it doesn't appear we'll get the chance." Azura said.

"oh?" Corrin looked at Azura.

"why's that?" Kamui asked.

"in the name of grandpa, come on!" Cookie fall on the floor but Kagura cough her.

"easy tiger" Kagura said, as she placed Cookie on her feet.

" 'easy wolf' you mean, but thanks" Cookie said.

"look who's waiting for us." Azura said pointing behind the twin, to see Xander.

"Xander..." Corrin, Kamui, Kagura, and Cookie said in syc.

"you two are here, at last." Xander said turning around, and pulling out his dark and evil sword, giving out bad energy that made Cookie feel a bit week, and got into his battle stance.

"now once and for all" Xander said.

"hello, Corrin and Kamui, you both done well to make it this far." Xander said.

"it's been a long journey..." Kamui said.

"we were hoping we wouldn't have to face you like this brother." Corrin said.

"for all your trials, you both are still so naïve. did you think i'd let anyone, even you both. kill father right in front of me? if you both insist on toppling nohe. you both will have to get through me first." Xander said.

"big brother Xander, please stop!" Cookie plead with Elise.

"do you three really have to fight like this?" Elise asked standing by Cookie's side.

"Corrin and Kamui are our siblings, and all they want is peace....like me....like Elise....like daddy" Cookie said.

"Elise?! Cookie?! what are you both doing here? have you two abandoned nohr as well?" Xander asked with his eyes a bit widen.

"no, that's not it! nopy dopy!" Cookie said waving her hand like a anime person.

"we just want our family to go back to the way it was..." Elise said.

"I see, is that child's logic how you both swayed Camilla and Leo? i'm afraid it won't work on me. as the crown prince of nohr. I don't have the luxury of being so naïve. there is nothing you both can say to dissuade me from protecting father and nohr. I will stop Corrin and Kamui here and now. it is the only way." Xander said.

"Xander no!" Elise and Cookie yelled out in fear, and were about to run to Xander but Ryoma stop them.

"hold fast everyone, as long as no one from nohr intervenes. neither shall we." Ryoma said.

"don't worry- this isn't a trick, and i won't attack the twins before their ready.  you see? I am here without the support of my retainers or any soldiers. this is between you two and me, little prince and princess. now let us begin." Xander said, as he got ready for battle.

"understood brother" the twin said, as they also got their swords out.

"there isn't much space here. let's step over into the great hall." Xander said, walking with the twin to the battle area.

"wait!!" Elise and Cookie cried out.

"stand back, Elise and Cookie. there's no need for you two to see this" Xander said stopping the two young girls.

"but..." Elise and Cookie said sadly.

"I told you both not to move!" Xander said a bit louder that made Cookie turn into a her wolf form and hid behind Elise and turn back to normal.

"..." Elise and Cookie stayed silence with tears in their eyes.

Corrin and Kamui walked up to them and gave them a small hug.

"we tried, but you both knew all along that this might happen." Corrin said.

Cookie and Elise started to cry.

"we're sorry Corrin and Kamui" they both said.

"we're sorry we couldn't talk Xander out of this..." Elise said, rubbing her cry from the tears.

"it's ok, Elise, Cookie. we're glad you both came all the way here with us, and no matter what happens...having you as our little sister's has been the best thing that ever happen to us." Kamui said.

"no matter what happens..." Cokie said.

"please don't say things like that!" Elise said.

"it's time for us to go now" Corrin said, grabbing his yato.

and they walked off to go battle Xander, leaving the two girls crying.

'there's got to be something more I can do...I can't lose my new family forever! I CAN'T!! I already lost my kingdom, my family, my friends, my dad...i'm not ready to lose my new family. i'm sorry Xander but I can't obey you this time... I won't just let Corrin, Kamui and Xander kill each other!' Cookie thought.

with the twin and Xander.

"all right you two. time to settle this once and for all. I hope you two are taken all of my training to heart. don't hesitate like you two always used to do, understand? this isn't a mock battle little brother and sister." Xander said.

"we won't hesitate, as long as you promise not to go easy on us." Corrin said.

"we're not the same person, like we used to be" Kamui said, grabbing her yato.

"I sure hope that's true, otherwise this will be a sad, short fight." Xander said, and with that he let out a battle cry and getting ready to attack Corrin and kamui with full power.

'here goes nothing...' the twin thought, as Xander attack them and they attack him with more force.

then Xander attack then twice.

"Leo wasn't kidding..." Kamui said.

"Xander is stronger then we remember." Corrin said.

"but we can't afford to lose..." Kamui said, and with that Corrin attacked first and kamui attack the 2 time.

"you both are much stronger then before, i'm impressed. but i'm afraid it's still not enough." Xander said, then he attacked them sending them flying back.

"Corrin, Kamui!!" Ryoma call out in worry.

"gods..." Kagura said.

"their losing!" Azura said.

"LEAVE US!!!" Kamui yelled.

"this is our fight with Xander." Corrin said.

"what's wrong Corrin and Kamui? is that really all you've got?" Xander asked.

"Xander... please... try to understand..."  Kamui said, begging her big brother.

"you...you've got so much power...join us and use it in the service of justice!" Corrin said.

"together we could easily overthrow king Garon!" Kamui said,

"justice is an illusion. when kingdoms and lives are at stake, there's no justice to be found anywhere! don't you both see that by now?!" Xander asked, as he ran up to them and attack them.

the twin began to cough, out blood.

"you're wrong" Kamui said.

"justice does exist." Corrin said.

"it's not black and white like some believe. but it's all the same." Kamui said.

"open your eyes...brother..." Corrin said.

"..." Xande paused.

"very well, you both will die fighting for your cause. I shall defend my homeland!" Xander yelled, as he was about to kill the twin...

Cookie jump in the way taking the attack instead!

Xander had a shock and regret look on his face as he saw Cookie hit the ground with blood spill out of her mouth.

and he is not the only one...

"COOKIE!!" Xander said dropping his sword and running over to the small girl, and picking her up in his arms.

"Cookie! please! speak to me!" Xander said shaking her, as Cookie open her eyes slowly.

"big brother...your sword...lay it down...for me..." Cookie said weakly, Xander gasp.

"nohr need more from you....not just strength..." Cookie said coughing up blood.

"what we need...is caring...and a warm hand..." Cookie said as she move Xander's hand to her cheak.

"...and tears..." when cookie said the that Xander let out a small tear.

"that's the way...try to be at...peace...big brother..." Cookie said, and a tear left her eye and with that her body went lump....she was dead. 

Xander looked at Cookie to see her stopped move and... stop breathing....Xander place her body down gently and stand up looking at the twins with anger and sadness in his eyes.

the twin ran to Cookie's dead body and began to cry...and they aren't the only ones.

"no...no. this can't be happening!!!" Kamui said with tears in her eyes.

"Cookie! wake up! you can't die like this...." Corrin said shaking her, but no use.

"NNNOOOOOOO!!!" the twins yelled and cried.

Xander walked up to them sword in hand.

"...get up, you two. Let's end this." Xander said.

the twins look up at him with sadness and a bit of anger.

"how can you keep fight like nothing's happened?!" Kamui asked, with tears in her eyes.

"Cookie just died in your arms trying to us from fighting. yet you want to pick right up where we left off?" Corrin asked a bit angered.

"I... I know. that's why this fight will be our last, now get up. NOW!" Xander commanded.

"all she wanted was peace and for us to be a family again..." Corrin said.

"she hated seeing us fight. please big brother." Kamui begged.

"don't make me say it again. draw your swords, Corrin and Kamui." Xander commanded.

"..." Corrin and Kamui froze.

"NOW!!" Xander yelled.

"brother..." the twins said.

in the skies was a young girl looking down on them.

"I wish I can tell you but....I can't my mission is still not done." the young girl said.

Me: ya guys when I play birthright and you know...Elise died so I want to change that...don't hate me please.
