--=Many Questions=--
(Scarlet's POV)----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Scarlet woke up, stretching and yawning, as she got up. She didn't even bother to lay down in her bed for a few more minutes. There was much to get through today. Burn was supposed to arrive some time in the next few days, and she wanted to be sure that everything was ready. After all, it wasn't everyday that the future Queen of the Sandwings was invited into her kingdom. Especially to celebrate her hatching day, which was a few days away.
Not to mention, I have the infamous Dragonets of Destiny... She thought to herself, as she gave an evil grin. She was excited to how they would perform in the arena.
Especially the Nightwing... I would love to see how he fights. Nightwings can supposedly read minds and predict the future... She thought, as she strolled out of her chamber, having already equipped her gold accessories. However, there was something she couldn't get off her mind. It was regarding the talking Scavenger whom she had captured the previous day. No matter how hard she tried, she simply couldn't get it out of her head.
Should I just give it to Burn? Burn would like that... A talking Scavenger would be something she would love to add to her collection of stuffed horrors... Just like that stunted Sandwing...
Emerging onto a balcony, she stared out into the arena below, before raising her eyes to the huge stone pillars which towered above. The sun had already risen high into the sky, and there was a gentle breeze across the mountains. Somewhere on one of those pillars was the Scavenger. Trapped with no way down. She smirked, looking forward to the day already. A day full of arena battles, excitement, and entertainment.
Walking back inside She, walked through the palace, before she strode into her throne room, still thinking. The Guards bowed to her as she passed, instantly standing to attention. As she sat down on her throne.
A smile spread slowly across her face, as she thought. I think I know exactly what I can do before Burn arrives...
She turned to one of her guards. Round up our newest prisoners; The Dragonets of Destiny, and bring them here. I think I want to have a little chat with them..."
Before the guard could turn away, she suddenly spoke once more out loud, without thinking.
"Also, bring the Scavenger. The one that was put up on the pillars." She ordered. The guard bowed, before strolling off to give the orders, although, still looking slightly perplexed to why Scarlet had asked for the Scavenger...
Scarlet sank comfortably back into her throne, still smiling evilly. It was time the Dragonets, and the Scavenger learnt their fate... This was going to be fun...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You woke up slowly, from a surprisingly comfortable sleep. Other than the fact that just about your entire body hurt from lying on the stone ground the entire night, but what was even stranger, was that you felt surprisingly warm, and snug. Not to mention your head felt like it was resting on something that did not feel like the cold stony ground of the platform you had fallen asleep on.
After a lot of trying, you managed to convince your eyes to open, only to be met by many colors of blue. You groaned as you rubbed your eyes, as you cleared you vision, only to find that the many colors of blue belonged to... scales?
You sat up quickly, jolted awake by this discovery. Tsunami's tail coils that were wrapped around you body fell away, as you stood up, only to feel dizzy from the sudden movement. Your sore joints screamed in protest as you made another attempt to stand up. After your dizziness disappeared, you turned to Tsunami, who appeared to still be sleeping.
You nudged her, giving her a pat on the head, as you tried to wake her.
"Tsunami. Tsunami, wake up. You have some explaining to do." You said into her ear, as you nudged her again. You were quiet confused to how you had gone from sleeping on the cold ground by yourself, to sleeping tucked into her tail, which really didn't make much sense in your opinion.
Tsunami, yawned before groaning and opening her eyes. Her eyes widened in surprise when she saw you, before she got up. She stretched, yawning again, as she showed off all of her sharp white teeth. It made you feel a bit nervous, being so close to a predator which was nearly four times the size of you, but you pushed the feelings and thoughts away.
You doubted that Tsunami would hurt you. Or, at least you hoped she wouldn't. After all, your first encounter with her hadn't been completely friendly.
"Good morning, Y/N. Did you sleep well? She asked, as she turned towards you, sitting down on her haunches.
You looked at her, still feeling slightly confused.
"Uh, good, I suppose? Why was I curled up, sleeping with you?" You asked, already wanting answers. To your surprise, Tsunami looked slightly awkward, before she replied, sounding flustered.
"Well. Er. You slept well. Didn't you? Does it matter?
You were tempted to say it did matter, as you did feel slightly embarrassed yourself that it had somehow happened, before Tsunami only sighed. Her illuminist scales lighting up slightly.
"Look, you were cold. Alright. I was worried you were going to freeze to death. So, uh, your welcome?" She added, in a surprisingly dismissive tone.
The chains on her feet and wings clanked against the stone ground of the platform. You noticed it wasn't as cold as it was the night before. In fact, it seemed almost cheery. The sun shining high in the pale blue sky, with many clouds.
You rolled your eyes at Tsunami, which earned a small laugh from her, but you still couldn't help feeling a little perplexed, but grateful either way about her actions.
However... you couldn't help but wonder why she had truly done it. You weren't stupid. She was hiding something from you.
You sighed. At least you could enjoy the morning, before things got even more confusing. Just as you were sitting down, looking at the green valleys of Pyrrhia spread out before the mountains like a map, you heard shouting, from somewhere below the pillars. The beating of wings grew closer, before Three Skywing guards flew up in front of the pillar.
Tsunami growled, baring her teeth, and stood her ground. In fear of not knowing what was happening, you rushed over to Tsunami, hiding behind her leg, away from the guards. Tsunami's tail wrapped around you reassuringly. Feeling grateful for the gesture, you crouched down, still behind Tsunami.
"What do you want?" Tsunami asked, glaring menacingly at the guards.
"Her Majesty, Queen Scarlet wants an audience with the Dragonets of Destiny. I highly suggest that you do not resist." He hissed, before he turned to the two other Skywings.
"Now, get the Seawing. I'll take care of the Scavenger." He snarled, as the other guards suddenly hurled forwards, pinning Tsunami down before either of us could move.
She roared in anger, and thrashed around, but the guard was much bigger than her, and much stronger. The Second Guard flew over to help the first deal with Tsunami, while the last Guard landed on the platform, grabbing you easily before you could make any attempt to escape. Not that there was anywhere to go.
You squirmed in his grip, but that only made him hold you tighter.
"Why do you want me!?" You cried, as the other Skywings that had been detaining Tsunami struggled to their feet, the furious Seawing still fighting, as she tried to scratch and bite them. One of them was too slow, and ended up getting a scratch across the throat.
"Y/N!" She roared, as she continued fighting for freedom, but the Dragons holding her managed to control her, as they undid the chains that bound her to the pillar and the other prisoners, but still keeping her wings clipped so she couldn't fly.
The Skywing holding you ignored your question, before jumping off of the platform, and spread his wings and he flew down to the palace below. Back above you, the other guards were following, only a bit slower due to Tsunami's determination to cause as much trouble as possible.
You couldn't help the small grin break out across your face. Even though you were terrified. If someone told Tsunami to not resist, of course she was going to resist. However, you couldn't miss the sight of a few other Guards flying down from a few other pillars. Among the red and orange scales was unmistakably, a Mudwing, and a Nightwing.
Two of the other Dragonets... Clay, and Starflight.
You realized that Glory must already be inside the palace, and you knew that Sunny was in a cage somewhere, awaiting Burn to take her away.
However... The thing that was bothering you the most, was being summoned by Scarlet. You knew that she was going to talk to the Dragonets, as you remembered that from the books, but what did she want with you?...
You already had a bad feeling...
