Chapter 11: Neko Miko Y/N
Y/N POV
"Stay on target in formation rote six." I shout angrily
"He's over there I can get him." I hear Angelo reply.
"Red six, if you continue this, we'll have to label you an enemy." I reply locking onto his plane.
"Alright fine," Angelo says before going back into formation.
"We have bogeys on my 3 o' clock," Ravio says.
I look to where his 3 o' clock would be, and see 6 unidentified flying objects.
"Alright, rote five we'll take a look," I say say as the formation follows me as we speed towards the UFOs.
Getting closer we realize those weren't friendly fighters, nor where they enemy fighters, they were none because they were flying saucers.
"Move to engage." I say as we all prepare.
We didn't stand a chance. I see Ravio's plane get shot with a laser and his burnt corpse get's shot out, Angelo followed quickly after and I flew through an inferno which was once his plane, Carroll shot at the saucers but the rounds barely left a dent and he was shot down, soon it was just me and just as how I always suspected, I finally died via aliens.
"God dammit, this is the 5th time." Carroll shouts.
"The Saucers are invincible, this was supposed to be the end of the franchise." Angelo replies.
"Well whatever, I think it's stupid we can't at least damage them." Ravio says in frustration.
"Well, it was fun playing through Virtuoso combat with you guys again." I reply putting down the joystick.

Up on top of the school me and Jaune were training. Far from the pitiful lump he used to be, he could now consistently defend himself and counter attack against me. I'm not the best swordsman, far from it, if anything Ravio should be training him, but he's getting better. Taking a strike at his side I stop right before I could actually hit him.
"Remember Jaune, you have a shield, use it." I say to him. "We've been at this for a while, I'd say we're done for today." I add while reattaching the swords to my naginata.
"So, how am I doing?" He asks looking at me hopefully.
"Quite well." I reply dusting myself off.
"Really?!" He says looking excited.
"Yes, so well that I'm going to have Ravio teach you in my place." I reply.
"Why is that?" He asks.
"I fight with this spear, Ravio fights with his sword, and I'd say he's the best swordsman here." I reply.
Jaune leaves, and I'm left up on the roof. Looking down on my scroll I see a new number text me.
"Hey buddy, It's your benefactor here. I know I said I wouldn't be talking to you for a while, but I heard you were in town and I wanted to meet you. Meet up at O'Keffe pub at 8:00pm."
Well now never thought I'd see the day
*Timeskip brought to you by fish and crisps*
It was around 7 and I went back to my dorm. Looking through my drawer I see nothing formal enough to meet up with some businessman, except for one thing. A pretty white Kosode with a scarlet red Hakama with it. I think back to how I ended up them.
*Flashback*
I was with Rex as we walked to a small shrine out in the backwoods. Only one person was there, and they were sitting on the stairs.
"Hey, Reimu, do you have any spare robes?" I hear him ask.
"Rex, what is this about?" The Miko asks with a glare.
"Well, I decided since he is a samurai, he should look the part, and they didn't make Kimonos in his size, so I hoped you would have something for him." Rex replies scratching his nape.
The shrine maiden looks to me and looks back to Rex.
"You do realize they're for shrine maidens right, you know, girls." I hear her say.
"Yes, I know, what kind of idiot do you take me for, and the robes are just about genderless." He replies annoyed.
She looks over me, studying every part of my body, and eventually sighs.
"Come with me kid, we've got something that will fit you." She said smiling.
*Flashforward*
They've been my go to clothes since, they're comfortable, and outside of other samurai nobody knows they're technically girls clothing. Well almost nobody.
"Hey, look who's the good looking gal here tonight?" Carroll said mockingly.
"Hey there hot stuff." Ravio teased while pointing a finger at me.
I just smiled, they'd done this ever since I had gotten these.
"I'm going out to the town for a bit, somebody I have to meet with." I say before shoving my scroll into a pocket.
"Well, don't forget your Gohei." Ravio said before throwing a pencil with a piece of paper attached at me.
"Hilarious, anyway, I'll be back soon." I say throwing a rope out the window.
"B-but, who will protect us from the bad spirits, oh great shrine maiden of paradise, please don't abandon us." Carroll said getting on his knees and pleading hamming up the theatrics.
"You know what, after that comment, I'm leaving, and fill Angelo in on this." I say pointing to him.
From his face I could tell he was extremely confused about the entire ordeal.
They walk over and start explaining to him while I climb out of the window down the building.
Looking at my watch, and not wanting to alert anybody I decide against taking the car an instead just start walking to O'Keffe's.

Looking down at my watch I see it's 7:42pm. In the pub I'm looking to see some fat man in a business suit or someone like that, but instead I feel a tap on my shoulder.
"Hey, who are you?" The person behind me asks.
I look back to see a man with orange hair and a bowler hat with a cigar in his mouth.
"I'm just the same as all of us here, sad, lost souls, trying to find purpose." I reply.
"Same as all 2 of us eh?" The man replies.
I'm confused, but sure enough as I look around the bar I see everybody, including the bartender, has promptly vacated the place, leaving me here.
"No need to play games R/N." The man says as he takes a seat next to me.
"So I take it you're my benefactor." I reply.
"Yes, I am, and I am so happy to finally meet you." He replies.
"Well, I'm happy to see you, Mr.-" I say.
"Torchwick, Roman Torchwick, you may know me." He says happily.
Oh dear, it's him.
"So, I was funded by a criminal for all these years?" I ask.
"You bet," He replies pouring something out for himself.
"Why did you sponsor me though, what did you gain?" I ask genuinely curious.
"I betted on your races, you won so consistently that I made boatloads of lien off of you." He replies.
He takes a swig of whatever it is he had.
"So, um, can you do me a favor?" Roman asks.
"Depends, what do you need?" I ask.
"You'll love it, it has to do with racing." He says lighting another cigar.
"I'm listening." I say perking my eyebrows.

Roman wasn't an awful person once you got to know him. It's clear that given another chance I think he'd give it all up, however now it's all he knows now, and he's the way he sees it, there's no backing out. Whether he will ever get the chance to escape from their life of crime I won't know. Currently we were walking me over to a shadier part of town I notice a mass crowd up around one place in particular.
"One of my racers broke a leg, literally, and you're their replacement." Roman says while handing me a racing helmet.
It wasn't anything special, just a normal white Simpson bandit helmet, just like the one I used as R/N.
"Street racing? Ain't that illegal?" I ask putting on the helmet.
"No, it may be illegal, but it's a victimless crime, street crashing isn't, so don't crash." He says before pushing me out to the mercy of the crowd.
"Wait, no, the show is still going on, it seems that Kaito's replacement has arrived." I hear an announcer say.
For an illegal activity, there sure is a lot of organization, and they don't care about being discreet either. Lights, camera, and action was all present.
"That's right, here they are, the fastest shrine maiden this side of remnant, The one and only Neko Miko." I hear Roman say over the mic in an over the top WWE fashion
Looking over to the cars lined up, I see only one with no driver, walking over I see the keys in the cupholder and the door open. Taking a seat I pull up to where the others are. Taking a breath and steeling my nerves I look down to see a map with all the navigation I will need. I'm pulled out of my tracing of the map by 2 black haired girls coming out with green flags. Strapping myself in I put the car in neutral and started revving the engine. counting down in my head, I soon see the 2 wave the flags and I take off.
Man I've missed this
Beaming ahead I see the two drivers start to brake, screw that, I quickly shift the car's weight and and turn into a drift leaving a cloud of steam in my wake as my tires screech. quickly turning I pull ahead and continue on the path. Driving down a quick straight I take the banking turn fast as possible and stay in front. Driving fast I zipped through the residential district, and finally I see up ahead, the staple of every street race, the hill climb. I don't know why he waited this long, but the guy who had been drafting off of me for the entire race decided to finally slingshot ahead. He has the lead, but not for long. Taking the first few turns of the mountain he's maintaining a lead, but he's playing it safe, he thinks he has this race in the bag. Shifting up I race towards him, and now I'm only so far behind him. He's gonna stay in front of me, and I can't move to the outside without losing a ton of momentum, I really wish I wouldn't have to do this, but I don't see any other options.
The one technique I never quite mastered
Taking a deep breath I start driving ahead I pull super close to the inside, my left wheels touching the gutter I take the turn tighter than he can. The rumbling nearly gave me a heart attack, but I was able to quickly pull off them and speed ahead. Only 2 turns until the top, and I expertly drift into each one. Winning the race by only 2 seconds. Though nobody could see it, I had the biggest smile on my face. Roman walks up to me and lifts my hand up the the air with his. Coming in from behind me I see some hulking tank of a man, easily 6 foot 3 and looking angry I start to fear, however his expression quickly cheers up.
"You've got a lot of stuff kid." He says patting me on the back.
"Hey, Arturo, hope you're not too salty about the loss." Roman says to him.
"Salty, no, no, winning can be boring, you gave me an actual challenge little guy, now you're new, but you know the street racing scene has rules about respect and such, but all you need to know is drive like that, and you're welcome anytime." Arturo responds looking to me.
Later on I found out I won the last race of the 'season' and took home the championship for Roman Torchwick. Standing up on the winners podium I see flashes of blue and red, the drivers including me start speeding off. Torchwick in the backseat I start driving smoothly down the mountain, smooth enough we convinced the cops to overlook us.
"Say, Torchwick, what kind of cigar are you smoking?" I ask.
"Vacuo Cigar." He replies.
I remember back home when me and the boys would smoke big cigars and pretend we were adults, we didn't do it often, we weren't addicts by any stretch, in fact I think we only did it a grand total of 4 times. That harrowed Vacuo Cigar was the holy grail back home, they were illegal, so of course they must be good right? Of course, seeing this opportunity to knock something off my to do list I do so.
"Can I have a puff?" I ask.
"Sure," He replies handing the still lit cigar.
Popping it in my mouth I get a taste of the smoke. It's more earthy, dark musty flavors in my mouth swirl around. It soon the taste builds, and it tastes somewhat of oak and chocolate of all things, it would be perfect for a lazy summer afternoon with a beer. Opening the window I puff out the smoke and hand the cigar back. It was an interesting experience, still not worth banning, but I'm happy I did it.
"Say, Roman, if you had the chance, would you quit crime?" I ask still focusing on the road ahead.
He went to respond immediately, only to stop himself. He's clearly contemplating things perhaps thinking of a better life for himself. Only for a moment, before he laughed shakily.
"I wouldn't give it up for the world." He replies putting on his signature smile.
"Well, that's that then." I reply looking ahead.
Roman's expression quickly went to a grimace. Looking out the window he's no doubt considering things, and he's like that for the entire ride.
*Timeskip brought to you by Y/N exorcising Ruby*
I drive over to where Roman wanted, and drop him off while waving him goodbye. Walking back to Beacon I run a hand through my hair and think to myself.
What the hell have I gotten myself into.
