After Sana left from there, Sid just turned back and became shocked as he saw Sanjana standing there. She was looking at him with teary eyes which were showing how hurt she was.

"Sanjana woh....."

Sid tried to explain to her but she stopped him showing her hand.

"Toh woh ladki Shehnaaz hai?" Asked Sanjana sadly to which Sid looked down in guilt. "Aur tumne mujhe ek baar bhi yeh baatana zaroori nahi samjha?"

Sid had nothing to say.

"Forget that we are engaged. At least I had the right to know this for being your friend. You used to share everything with me. Aur aaj itni badi baat tumne mujhse chhupayi? Yeh maine expect nahi kiya tha Sidharth."

Saying that, Sanjana wiped her tears and was about to leave when Sid called her.

"Sanjana wait!"

Sanjana stopped hearing that. Sid went near her.

"Kahi aur chal ke baat kare please?" He asked.

"Sidharth I really don't wanna talk about this...."

"I request you."

Sanjana sighed and then nodded.

After sometime...

Sid and Sanjana were standing on a bridge facing towards the sea.

"In our lives we all have that one person whose absence can turn our world upside down. For me Sana was that person. Uske jaane ke baad main bohut buri tarah se tut gata. Koshish kiyi usse bhulne ki par nahi bhul paaya. Iss wajah se mujhe khud se bhi nafrat hone lagi. Yeh soch ke ki maine galat insaan se dil lagaya. Andar hi andar khud se waada kiya ki main Sana ka naam tak nahi lunga. That's why I never told you her name. Socha tha usse apni life se puri tarah se mita dunga. Kahi pe uska zikr nahi hoga. Lekin phir 7 saal baad jab woh mere saamne aayi, main ekdam se sab kuch bhul gaya. I realised that I actually never moved on from her. Isliye baar baar uske paas jaa ke uss se puch raha tha ki usne mujhe kyu chhora. Usko kisi aur ke saath dekh ke gussa aa raha tha. Jaan bujh ke main usse hurt kar raha tha. Lekin usse hurt hote dekh bhi dukh mujhe hi ho raha tha. Main khud samajh nahi paa raha hoon ki akhir mere saath kya ho raha hai. Sanjana I know I should not feel this way but.... I'm sorry."

Sanjana looked at Sid sadly. It was hard for her to see love in his eyes for someone else.

She somehow controlled her own emotions and said, "Sidharth don't say sorry because you still have feelings for Sana. It happens when you love someone too much. Mujhe dukh iss baat ka hua ki tumne mujhe yeh sab baataya nahi."

"Mujhe darr tha tum kaise react karogi....I'm really sorry."

"It's ok..... Ab aage kya?"

"Matlab?"

"Matlab jo tum kar rahe ho Sana ke saath, woh toh sahi nahi hai. It's not good for your both professional and personal life. Tum dono ek hi industry mein ho, ek saath kaam kar rahe ho, aur toh aur tumhari behen ki shaadi uske bhai se ho rahi hai. You have to make everything normal between you guys otherwise things will get more complicated in future."

"Even she said the same. Lekin samajh nahi aa raha yeh hoga kaise."

Sanjana thought for sometime and then said, "Main ek suggestion doon? Tum na Sana ko maaf kar do."

Sid looked at Sanjana with disbelief.

She understood his feelings and said, "I know it's not easy for you but tum jitna past mein jeeoge utna hi zyada takleef milega tumhe. Usne jis bhi reason se tumhe chhora ho the truth is everything is over now. Just forget those bad memories and forgive her. Start everything fresh. Sirf acchi memories ko yaad rakh ke aage badho. Dekhna phir itna dard nahi hoga."

Sid started thinking deeply.

"Kya iss se sab kuch sahi ho jayega?" He asked in confusion.

Sanjana sighed and asked, "Kya tumhe lagta hai ki Sana aur tumhare bich chizein sort out ho sakti hai? Do you think..... You guys can get back together?"

"No." Said Sid immediately. "Jis ladki ko mujhse pyaar hi nahi hai, uske saath kya hi sort out karu?.... Also I'm engaged now. So there is no chance "

"Then let it go. Ho sake toh wapas se dosti hi kar lo. Aise bohut log hote hai jo break up hone ke baad bhi apni friendship ko continue karte hai. Trust me, it will be the best for both of you."

Sid smiled looking at Sanjana and then nodded in yes. He realised that it was high time now. He had to let the past memories go for his own good.

After returning home, Sid tried to talk to Sana about the morning incident. He wanted to apologise for his behaviour at the recording studio. But he didn't get a chance as she was busy with Jay, Mahi and the other guests and was constantly ignoring him. So he thought of another way to apologise to her.

It was late at night. Sana was changing her positions in the bed. Sleep was far away from her eyes. Suddenly she saw a letter slipped through the gap of her door. She immediately sat up and frowned seeing it.

Sana got up from the bed and went towards the door. She picked up the letter and thought, "Itni raat ko yeh kisne diya?"

She even opened the door but found no one at the corridor. After that, she unfolded the letter and started reading it.

Sana,

      Aaj subah studio mein jo bhi hua uske liye I'm sorry. I myself don't know mujhe uss waqt kya hogaya tha. Sayad kuch chizein aisi thi jinhe main bhul nahi paa raha tha, yaa phir bhulna hi nahi chahta tha. Unnecessarily past ko pakad ke baitha tha. But today I realised aisa karne se at the end takleef humein hi hogi. So I want to forget those bad memories of past and cherish the good memories. Pyaar na sahi, hum pehle ki tarah friends ban ke toh reh sakte hai aur apne apne presents pe focus kar sakte hai, right? I know since few days I have been behaving like an idiot but I promise, this won't repeat again. Toh agar tu meri iss friendship ke proposal ko accept karti hai toh rooftop pe aa ke mil. Once again, I'm waiting.

Few teardrops fell on the letter but she wiped them and smiled genuinely.

"You are right Sid. Let's start fresh." Said Sana in her mind.

Then she went to the rooftop and saw Sid standing there. She silently went and stood beside him.

"Did you get deja vu?" She asked to which he looked at her and they both smiled together.

"So are you accepting my friendship proposal?" Asked Sid further.

"I think so. Our friendship was always very precious to me. There is no harm in continuing that." Replied Sana.

"Mujhe bhi aisa hi lagta hai. Also I'm done yaar. Jab hum dono hi aage badh chuke hai, why carrying the past baggages with us? I don't wanna ruin my present because of my past."

"Your present.... With Sanjana?"

Sana's question made Sid think a little. But then he nodded in yes to which she smiled sadly.

"Waise ek baat baata, yeh Sanjana tujhe mili kaise? I mean... Itni acchi ladki ko tune pata kaise liya?" She asked further laughing.

Sid chuckled and said, "Kyu? College mein tujhe bhi toh pata liya tha. Haan zyada din rakh nahi paaya, woh alag baat hai."

"Hmm.... But phir bhi. Sanjana mujhse kayi zyada better hai. Woh tujhse pat gayi, it means you are lucky. And she is the perfect girl for you."

"Sahi baat. Sanjana tujhse kayi zyada better hai, aur perfect bhi."

"Dekha? Tu bhi maanta hai na?"

"Hmm.... Lekin kya kare, iss dil ko perfect chizo se zyada imperfect chizein pasand hai. Aur chahe kitni bhi better kyu na mil jaaye, ek afsos toh reh hi jaata hai ki woh nahi mili." Said Sid smiling sadly.

Sana's smile faded away hearing that and she looked at him sadly.

"Accha mera chhor. Tu apna baata." Said Sid further changing the topic. "Tujhe kaha se mila itna accha boyfriend? Aur yeh permanent wala hai yaa yeh bhi time pass wala hi hai?"

"Boyfriend?" Asked Sana frowning. "Tu har waqt boyfriend pe kyu aa jaata hai? Aur aisa kaunsa boyfriend hai mera jiske baare mein mujhe khud nahi paata?"

"Kyu? Woh ladka Shubh tera boyfriend nahi hai?" He asked being confused.

Sana nodded her head in disbelief and said, "Abbe Gadhe woh bas friend hai mera, yaa tu best friend bhi keh sakta hai. Boyfriend kaunse angle se lagta hai tujhe?"

"Woh tum dono kafi close dikh rahe the toh.... Mujhe aisa laga."

"Close toh hai hum. Kyu ki humare bure waqt mein usne bohut saath diya tha humara. Aaj agar woh nahi hota toh main iss jagah pe nahi hoti."

"Bura waqt matlab?" Asked Sid curiously.

"Chhor na yaar....."

"No tell me. Bura waqt matlab?"

Sana took a deep breath and narrated the whole story to Sid which left him shocked. He didn't know that she had to go through all this. He felt very bad thinking that he couldn't be there for her at that time. Even he didn't have the minimum idea of it.

"Toh uss waqt sirf Shubh tha tere saath?" Asked Sid to which Sana hummed.

"Phir toh woh hi tujhe deserve karta hai." He said sadly, silently thinking if he could be at Shubh's place.

"Haan deserve karta hai..... meri dosti, jo humesha rahegi. Iss se zyada hum dono ke bich na kabhi kuch tha aur na kuch ho sakta hai."

Sid could feel honesty in her words. He just smiled and said, "Same goes with me and Sanjana. Jab main iss industry mein struggle kar raha tha tab mujhe Sanjana mili. Tab se woh meri manager cum friend hai. Uske saath main apne saare dukh dard share karta tha. Paata hi nahi chala kab woh meri itni acchi dost ban gayi."

"Aur pyaar?"

Sid paused for a while and said, "Main uss se pyaar nahi karta. Yeh baat usko bhi paata hai. Yeh shaadi main sirf Maa ke kehne pe kar raha hoon. It's a kind of compromise for both of us."

"Par Sid yeh toh galat hai na? Jab tu yeh shaadi kar raha, you have to give 100% in this relationship. Tabhi toh yeh shaadi successful hogi."

"I'm trying... That's why we are here right now. Apne past ki tuti hui chizon ko fix kar ke mujhe apne present ko behtar bana na hai. And I think this is the only way to do this."

Sana nodded and said, "You are right. Isliye main kaal humari society visit karne jaa rahi hoon..... Tu chalega mere saath?"

"Main?"

"Haan. Tune hi likha tha, humein apni bad memories ko bhul ke good memories ko cherish karni chahiye. Aur humari good memories uss society se hi judi hui hai. We will cherish those memories together, once again as friends. Aur yeh humari dosti ki ek acchi suruwaad bhi hogi. What say?"

Sid thought for sometime and then said, "Ok done. Kaal hum dono society mein chalenge."

Sana smiled widely and said, "Thik hai phir kaal subah breakfast ke baad niklenge. Okay?"

"Ok."

"Abhi ke liye good night."

"Good night."

Sana left from there while Sid looked at the night sky blankly. He remembered his good memories with Sana. A beautiful smile came to his face. He felt like living those moments again.

"Bad memories ko toh phir bhi bhul jaaunga. Par inn good memories ka kya karu? These are the reason because of which my past seems better to me than my present." He thought sadly being lost.
