Next Morning...

Sid woke up and saw a message on his phone. It was from Sana.

"Sana ne itni subah subah message kyu kiya? Kya kehna chahti hogi? Kahi kal wali baat ko le ke kuch....."

He remembered about the kiss they shared last night. He felt embarassed. He should have stopped her. What's the meaning of coming this much close when they had no future together?

Sid opened his WhatsApp and read Sana's message.

"Sid subah se meri tabiyat thodi kharab hai. Isliye main aaj college nahi aa paaungi."

He gave a sigh of relief thinking that he didn't have to face her today. Then he stood up from bed and got ready for college.

After coming outside the apartment, he looked towards Sana's balcony. Sana was watching him standing at the balcony but as soon as he looked there, she hid herself behind the wall.

Sid sighed and left from there with his bike. As soon as he left, Sana came out and smiled seeing him.

"I can't believe ki kal josh mein aa ke maine isse kiss tak kar diya. Lagta hai ab time aa gaya hai ki hum mein se koi ek, dusre ko propose kare. Yeh Buddhu Ram toh mujhe propose karne se raha. So it means I have to propose him first." Said Sana in her mind and called Mahi.

"Hello Mahi Di.... I need your help.... Woh actually....."

Sana explained everything to Mahi and she agreed to help her.

In Afternoon...

"Haan Maa aap aram se aana.... Arrey itne dino baad mausi ke ghar gaye ho, main toh kehti hoon aap aaj raat waha ruk jaao. Kaal subah wapas aana.... Haan hum bacche thodi hai? Rakh lenge apna khayal... Ok bye...hmm...."

Mahi cut the call and then looked at Sana smiling.

"Hogayi tasalli? Kaha tha na Mummy itni zaldi nahi aayengi wapas. Maine unse jhut bola ki mausi unhe bohut yaad kar rahi thi aur bhej diya unke ghar. Ab itne dino baad dono behne mili hai, kal se pehle wapas aane ka chance hi nahi hai. Tu bas Sid ko propose karne pe focus rakh." She said.

"Woh hi toh kar rahi hoon. Waise main thik toh lag rahi hoon na?" Asked Sana being little nervous.

She was wearing a pink frock and looking like a Barbie doll.

"Tu toh humesha hi pyaari lagti hai. Mujhe toh yeh samajh nahi aa raha uss Gadhe ne tujhe pata kaise liya jo tu itni pagal hogayi hai uske peeche." Said Mahi making Sana blush.

Suddenly they heard someone entering.

"Yeh lo. Gadhe ka naam liya aur Gadha haazir." Said Mahi laughing. "Accha sun, main living room mein hoon.... Yaa phir bahar chali jaau?"

"Nahi nahi uski zaroorat nahi hai." Said Sana immediately. "Aap idhar reh sakte ho."

Mahi chuckled and said, "Chal thik hai. Good luck."

Then she left the room. After that, Sana took a deep breath and adjusted her hair looking at the mirror.

Soon Sid entered the room and became surprised seeing his own room as there were heart shaped balloons everywhere and Sana was standing there with a bit of nervousness and hesitation on her face but a lot of hope in her eyes.

"Kaisa laga yeh sab? Time nahi tha toh zyada kuch arrange nahi kar paayi." She said while smiling and blushing.

Sid didn't react and just kept looking at her.

"Main....." Sana suddenly stopped and bit her own lips not being able to understand what to say. She was feeling butterflies in her stomach.

She then sighed and said, "Dekh Sid main yeh romantic speech and all nahi de sakti. Kabhi kisi ke liye yeh sab kiya nahi hai pehle. Aur karti bhi kaise? Kabhi aisa kuch kisi ke liye feel hi nahi kiya jo abhi tere liye feel kar rahi hoon. Lekin tujhe kaha kuch samajh aata hai. Toh Sid, mudde ki baat yeh hai ki...."

She took a deep breath and looked at him with full of love.

She pointed her index finger towards herself, made an heart shape with her both hands and then slowly pointed his index finger towards him.

Sid's heart skipped a beat understanding that she was saying 'I love you'. His eyes became teary feeling overwhelmed. She was confessing her love for him. It would be the best day of his life, but only if he could reciprocate her love. After whatever Shruti said to him last night, he didn't have the courage to accept her love and be left heartbroken again. He was tired now.

"What happened Sid?" Asked Sana seeing him standing like a statue. "I'm waiting for your answer. You love me na?"

He fisted his palm to control his emotions and then slightly nodded his head negatively while looking down.

Sana was left shocked knowing this. She looked at him with disbelief not being able to believe that he just rejected her love.

"It's ok if you can't give your answer right now. I'll wait for you." Said Sana convincing herself that maybe Sid was not ready for all this.

Sid again nodded in no and said in sign language, "Yeh hi mera final answer hai. Hum dono mein kabhi pyaar nahi ho sakta. I'm sorry."

A lone tear escaped Sana's eyes as Sid broke her heart by his answer.

"Kyu... Nahi...ho sakta?" She asked with broken voice.

Sid had no reply.

"Oh yeah... How can I forget? It's Shruti, right?" She asked sadly and Sid immediately looked at her. He wanted to say no but couldn't thinking that it would be easy for Sana to leave him if she thought this way.

She chuckled painfully and said with teary eyes, "Yaar main bhi na kitni badi stupid hoon. Mujhe pehle hi samajh jaana chahiye tha, it was always Sidharth and Shruti, not Sidharth and Shehnaaz. You still love her. Pehle tu uss se pyaar karta tha aur ab woh bhi tujhse pyaar karti hai, which you always wanted. Main kaha se bich mein aa gayi third wheel ban ke?"

Sid could feel the pain in her voice. But how would he explain that he was in pain too?

"Sorry Sid, I'm extremely sorry. Kaal maine tum dono ke bich waise interrupt kiya, itna scene create kiya. Please forgive me. Main ab kabhi tum dono ke bich mein nahi aaungi. Kabhi nahi."

Saying that, Sana left from there crying. Sid immediately closed his eyes and tears rolled down his cheeks. He started crying silently.

"I didn't want to let you go like this. Lekin hum dono ke liye yeh hi sahi hai." He said in his mind convincing himself that he did the right thing.

"Sid!" Uttered Mahi coming to his room and he hurriedly wiped his tears.

She came to him and asked, "Kya hua Sana ko? Woh waise rote hue bahar kyu nikli? Tune aisa kya kiya jo woh itna hurt ho gayi? Sid baata mujhe!"

Sid looked at Mahi and said in sign language, "Maine maana kar diya usse."

"Kya?" Asked Mahi with disbelief. "Tu pagal ho gaya hai kya? Tune hi toh kaha tha ki tu uss se pyaar karta hai. Aur jab usne saamne se apne pyaar ka izhar kiya toh tune maana kar diya?"

"Haan maana kar diya kyu ki main uske layak nahi hoon. Hum dono mein koi match nahi hai. Uske paas sab kuch hai aur mere paas apni awaz tak nahi kiya. Woh kyu rahegi mere jaise ladke ke saath zindagi bhar? Aaj nahi toh kaal humein alag hona hi tha kyu ki hum dono ki duniya hi alag hai."

"Matlab tune usse isliye maana kiya kyu ki tum dono ka koi match nahi hai, tumhari duniya alag hai? Toh yeh baat tujhe pehle nahi paata tha jab tune uss se pyaar kiya tha?"

"Paata tha lekin maine uss waqt itna deeply nahi socha. Kya guarantee hai ki Sana bhi ekdin mere saath woh nahi karegi jo Shruti ne kiya? Aaj usse mujhse pyaar hai. Kal ko yeh hi pyaar uske liye bojh ban jaayega. Tab woh bhi mujhe chhor ke chali jaayegi baki sab ki tarah. Main ek baar phir se akela padh jaaunga. Toh behtar hai main abhi se khud ko uss se detach kar loon. Suru suru mein hum dono ko hi takleef hogi lekin baad mein Sana bhul jaayegi mujhe jab usse apne layak koi ladka milega. Aur yeh baat aap bhi jaanti ho ki Sana better deserve karti hai."

"Tujhe lagta hai woh tujhe itni asani se bhul jayegi? Tu samajhta kyu nahi woh tujhe pagalon ki tarah pyaar karti hai? Tera pyaar uske liye bojh nahi ban sakta, woh nahi jayegi tujhe chhor ke. Tu....."

Mahi suddenly stopped as her eyes fell on the door. Seeing her like this, he also looked at the door and became shocked. Sana was standing there and her eyes were red in anger.

Without saying anything, she entered the room and took her phone which she forgot there and returned to take it back.

After taking it, she looked at Sid and said smiling sadly, "Paata hai Sid, bachpan se le kar aaj tak mujhe bohut logo ne hurt kiya hai. Pehle Mr. Gill phir unki second wife, Nana aur Nani, even mere kuch friends jinhe main pehle apna maanti thi and the list goes on. But I have to admit, tune iss maamle mein unn sab ko peeche chhor diya yaar."

Hearing that, Sid looked at Sana with teary eyes.

"You know jab hum kisi se saccha pyaar karte hai toh saamne wala agar reciprocate na bhi kare toh humein bura feel nahi karna chahiye. Kyu ki humara pyaar kaafi hai. Mujhe bhi bura nahi lagta agar tu iss wajah se mujhe reject karta ki main tujhe pasand nahi hoon. Ho sakta hai. Mere jaisi badtameez, bigdi hui ladki tujhe acchi nahi bhi lag sakti hai. Agar yeh bhi tera reason hota ki tu mujhse nahi Shruti se pyaar karta hai toh bhi main khud ko samjha leti, even samjha liya bhi tha. But what was your reason? You compared me with that Shruti. Tujhe laga uski tarah main bhi tujhe chhor ke chali jaaungi. Tune aisa soch bhi kaise liya? Itne dino mein yeh pehchana tune mujhe Sid? Yeh hi samjha tune mere pyaar ko?"

Sana started crying seeing which Sid's heart pained. A sudden guilt rushed through his veins for making her cry.

"Main jaanti hoon ki humari duniya alag hai. Lekin jab se main teri iss chhoti si duniya mein aayi hoon, mera kabhi mann hi nahi hua apni duniya mein wapas jaane ka. Kyu ki yaaha mujhe pyaar mila, apno ka saath mila. Maine khud ko badalne ki koshish kiyi taa ki main teri iss duniya mein apni jagah bana saku. Humesha tere saath reh saku, tera haath pakad ke chal saku. Lekin tujhe yeh sab kabhi dikha hi nahi. Isliye toh tune itni asani se keh diya ki main tujhe bhool jaaungi. Sach toh hai yeh hai Sid ki tune kabhi mujhse pyaar kiya hi nahi. Isliye toh mere baare mein yeh sab sochta raha, mujhe Shruti se compare kiya. Ok then, ab jo tu chahta hai woh hi hoga. Ab se main bhi khud ko tujhse detach kar leti hoon. Kya paata takleef thodi kam ho jaaye."

Saying that, Sana was about to leave when Sid held her tightly. She looked at him. Though he was not saying anything, his eyes were expression his pain and guilt for hurting her this much.

Sana somehow controlled her emotions and said coldly freeing her hand, "Mujhe jaana hoga. Late ho raha hai."

Then she left from there leaving Sid teary-eyed. He sat on the bed and started crying silently.

Mahi sat beside him and kept her hand on his shoulder.

"Dekhna Sid, kisi ka dil todna kitna asan hota hai? Haan main teri insecurities ko samajhti hoon. Lekin unki wajah se uss insaan ko dukh dena jo tujhse itna pyaar karti hai, yeh toh sahi nahi hai." She said sadly.

Sid realised his mistakes.

He looked at Mahi and said in sign language, "Mujhse galti ho gayi. Jis ladki se main sabse zyada pyaar karta hoon maine usse hi itna hurt kar diya. Main bohut bura hoon. Main sahi mein uske layak nahi hoon."

"Phir se woh hi baat? Galti karne pe insaan ko maafi maang ni chahiye. Aise afsos karne se kuch nahi hoga. Kaal college jaa ke tu sabse pehle Sana se maafi maangega aur usse baatayega ki tu uss se pyaar karta hai. Aayi baat samajh mein?"

"Jo maine aaj kiya hai, uske baad woh kabhi nahi maanegi. Maine sab kuch bigad diya."

"Kuch nahi bigda hai. Woh saccha pyaar karti hai tujhse, maan jaayegi." Said Mahi giving Sid assurance.

Meanwhile...

Sana went to her room and started crying lying in her bed. She could understand that he became insecure. In this situation she expected that he would talk to her about this. But he chose to break her heart by rejecting her love and thought that she would leave him like others. Did he actually think so low about her?

Sana wiped her tears and said to herself while sobbing, "Ab kyu....ro rahi hai....haan?... Kaha tha na inn saab... Pyaar vyaar ke chakkar mein....mat padhna....toh phir.... Kyu kiya.... uss se pyaar?.... Bakiyon ki tarah.... Usne bhi tod diya....tera dil.... Bhugat ab....Bilkool sahi hua.... Tere saath."

Saying that, Sana tried to stop herself but failed. She buried her face in her pillow and continued crying.
