Gauri was pacing in a to and fro motion in the hospital corridor while doctor examined omiri and suraj was sitting on the nearby bench.

Suraj- Gauri... Shaant ho jaao aur yahan aa kar baitho.

(Gauri... Relax and sit down.)

Gauri- (worried) Kaise baith jaaun bhaiya.... Meri bachi wahan andar hai...

(How can I sit bhaiya... My daughter is there inside...)

Suraj- Tumhare aise pareeshan hone se kya hoga Gauri. Doctor usse examine kar rahe hain na. Kuch nahin hoga humare Omi ko. Woh bohot brave hai bilkul tumhari tarah.

(What will happen if you get tensed like this Gauri. Doctor is examining her, right? Nothing will happen to omi. She is also very brave like you.)

Gauri nodded still worried.

After about half an hour doctor came outside. As soon as Gauri saw him, she ran towards him and asked about omiri's well-being.

Doctor- Apki beti abhi bhi behosh hai Ms. Gauri. Humne unki blood sample test ke liye bheja hai. I hope ki main Jo soch raha hun woh na huaa ho. Hum omiri ko aaj raat under observation rakh rahe hain. Aap chinta mat kijiye. Aur hna aap ab apni beti se mil sakte hain.

(Your daughter is unconscious Ms. Gauri. We have sent her blood sample for testing. I hope that willn't happen which I am thinking about. Omiri will be under observation tonight. And don't worry. Now you can meet your daughter.)

Saying this doctor went away leaving behind a clueless Gauri. She turned towards Suraj who was too looking clueless.

Gauri- Yeh doctor ne kya kaha Suraj bhaiya.

(What doctor told suraj bhaiya.)

Suraj felt that the doctor was dreading for something dangerous but he didn't tell that to gauri.

Suraj- Kuch nahin Gauri. Omiri thik ho jaayegi.

(Nothing Gauri. Omiri will be fine.)

Gauri wiped her tears which were flowing continuously since omiri became unconscious.

Gauri- Bhaiya aap ghar jayiye. Bhabhi Apka inteezar kar rahe honge. Main yahan Omi ke pass hun.

(Bhaiya go to home. Bhabhi must be waiting for you. I am here with omi.)

Suraj- Par Gauri main bhi.....

(But Gauri I too....)

Gauri- (cutting him) Please bhaiya....

Suraj- Thik hai par main subah subah yahan aa jaaunga.

(Okay but I will come here early in the morning.)

Gauri- Okay.

Suraj went to his home and Gauri entered in omiri's hospital room. She saw omiri lying lifelessly on the hospital bed. She sat beside the bed on a stool and started sobbing silently. She held her hand and kissed it.

Gauri- Mumma bohot buri hai na baby... (Whispered) I am sorry baby... I am sorry... Meri wajah se aaj tumhara yeh haal hai Omi.... Sirf meri wajah se... Par main tumse bohot pyaar karti hun.

(Mumma is very bad, right baby?.. I am sorry baby.... I am sorry... Because of me you are in this condition.... Only because of me..... But I love you very much.)

She hugged her.

Gauri- Main pehle hi Omkara ko kho chuki hun aur ab main tumhe kho nahin sakti. Maine tumhe Omkara se milne ke liye mana kiya kyun ki main nahin chahti ki meri tarah tumse bhi woh nafrat kare.

(I had lost Omkara earlier and now I can't afford to lose you. I said no you to meet omkara because I don't want him to hate you like he hates me.)

She cried uncontrollably.

Gauri- Mujhe maaf kar do baby... Par main tumhe dard main nahin dekh sakti. Tumhe chod kar mere pass iss duniya main aur koi bhi nahin hai. Tum meri aur omkara ki pyaar ki nishaani ho. Tum humari beti ho. Maine socha thaa ki omkara ek din humare pass wapas aayega par shayad ab yeh possible hi nahin hai.

(Forgive me baby .. But I can't see you in pain. I have no one in this world besides you. You are mine and omkara's sign of love. You are our daughter. I thought one day Omkara will come back to us but I think now it's not possible.)

She lean towards her forehead and kissed lovingly.

Gauri- Tum thik ho jaaogi...

(You will be okay...)

She sat there and after sometimes she dozed off in that sitting position.

Here omkara was feeling uneasy since he came after meeting Omi in the school. He was too confused about the happenings. They had a plan to eat ice cream then why omi went to her home that too without meeting or informing him. And then omi's teacher told that omi's mother came and took her to home.

He couldn't sleep at all that night. He was just thinking about all that things. But he couldn't get into any conclusions.

Om- (in mind) Main kal subah jab Omi se milunga tab usse puch lunga.

(I will ask Omi tomorrow when I will meet her.)

And he too dozed off around the morning.

Gauri woke up when she felt someone patted on her shoulder. She opened her eyes and saw a nurse.

Nurse- Ma'am doctor Apko bula rahe hain. Apki beti ki reports aa gayi hain.

(Ma'am doctor is calling you. Your daughter's reports have came.)

Gauri- Okay thank you.

She looked towards omiri who was still sleeping.

Gauri- (to nurse) Suniye... Kya aap please yahan par Omi ke pass rukenge. Aur mujhe bula denge jab Omi ko hosh aayega.

(Listen... Will you please stay here with Omi. And call me when she will regain consciousness.)

Nurse- Okay sure.

Gauri kissed on omi's forehead and went to doctor's cabin to meet the doctor.

Omkara looked at the clock. It was 8 am, the time of omi's school. He was waiting since 2 hours. He barely slept the last night. He had to get some answers of the questions which was revolving in his head.

Gauri entered into the doctor's cabin and found Suraj already sitting there.

Suraj- Ab toh Gauri bhi aa gayi. Ab toh bata dijiye doctor ki kya baat hai.

(Now Gauri too came. Please doctor tell what is the matter.)

Gauri- Kya baat hai Suraj bhaiya.

(What's the matter Suraj bhaiya.)

Doctor- Ms. Gauri pehle aap yahan par baithiye.

(Ms. Gauri first you sit here.)

He said pointing to a chair beside Suraj.

Gauri tensely sat on that chair.

Doctor- (taking a deep breath) Humne omiri ke jo test karwaye the uske reports aa gayi hai.

(Omiri's test reports have came which we had sent.)

Gauri- (worriedly) Sab thik hai na doctor..... Omiri thik hai na?

(Is everything okay doctor.... Omiri is okay, right?)

Doctor- Leukemia... Yaani ki Blood cancer.

(Leukemia.... Means blood cancer.)

Gauri and suraj froze on there seats.

Gauri- (almost whispered) Doctor.....

Doctor- Hna miss Gauri aapne sahi sunaa. Omiri ko blood cancer huaa hai.

(Yes miss Gauri you heard right. Omiri is diagnosed by blood cancer.)

Gauri- Par aise kaise.... Meri bachi... (Looking at Suraj) Bhaiya....

(But how.... My daughter.... Bhaiya...)

Suraj recovered from shock.

Suraj- Doctor are you sure? I mean reports galat bhi toh ho sakte hain.

Suraj quickly embraced Gauri.

Suraj- Gauri shaant ho jaao... Kuch nahin hoga. (Turned to doctor) Aap kuch toh kar sakenge na doctor. Omiri thik toh ho jaayegi na?

Doctor- Hum treatment shuru toh kar denge par iss main bohot paise kharch honge.

(We can start the treatment but that will cost very much money.)

Doctor- Kam se kam 5 lakhs.

It was true that gauri was doing a job and she earned money but it was not enough to do omi's treatment.

Omkara reached at the school in a hurry. He had to search omiri. He looked around the school in the search of omiri but couldn't find her. He asked omiri's class teachers about her but she too told that she didn't come to school. Omkara felt restless listening that. He directly went to principal office and asked for omiri's details.

Principal- Aap puch rahe hain isiliye main Apko address de raha hun Mr. Oberoi warna yeh humare school ke policies ke against. (Giving him a piece of parchment) Yeh lijiye.. Omiri ka address.

Gauri entered into the room where Omi was there. She saw omiri happily talking to the nurse with her cute antics. As soon as she saw her smiling Gauri's tears fell down which she was holding. She went towards omiri.

Gauri- (slowly) Omi.....

Omiri looked at gauri. Her smiled turned into an angry pout and she looked away.

Gauri started sobbing.

Gauri- (in the middle of sob) Abhi bhi gussa ho apne mumma se.

(You are still angry from your mumma.)

Omiri heard gauri's sob and looked towards her worriedly.

Omi- (innocently) Mumma aap ro rahe ho. Main aap se gussa nahin hun mumma. Ab toh rona band kar dijiye.

(Mumma you are crying? I am not angry on you mumma. Please stop crying.)

Gauri couldn't control anymore and quickly hugged her tightly.

Gauri- I am sorry beta.... I am sorry....

Omkara stood outside Suraj's house as per address. He again see the parchment to check if he was at the correct place or not. After confirmation he knocked on the door.

Saina opened the door with a frown on her face. Om asumed her to be Omi's mother. Somehow he got disappointed, why? He himself didn't know that.

Saina- Hna ji aap koun? Kisse milna hai?

(Yes who are you? Whom you want to meet?)

Om- Ji woh main... Omi se milna chahta hun. Aap uski Maa hai na?

(I want to meet Omi. You are her mother?)

Saina's frown get deeper and she looked at om from head to toe.

Saina- Main Apko kisiki Maa jaisi lagti hun. Aur Hna yahan par koi omiri aur uski Maa nahin rehti. Aur agar rehti hai bhi toh woh ghar par nahin hain.

(Am I looking like someone's mother? And yes omiri and her mother don't stay here. If they are staying then they are not at home.)

Before om could react further she shut off the door.

Defeated Omkara turned his steps.

Om- Yeh kya chakkar hai. Uss aurat ke baaton se saaf saaf pata chal raha thaa ki Omi aur uski Maa yahan rehte hain toh phir usne aisa kyun kaha...............?

(What is that issue. I could know from that lady's talk that Omi and her mother live here then why did she say like this........?)

His thoughts broke by a phone call. He looked at the caller ID and picked it up.

Om- Hna mami...?............... Kya dad!!........... Kya huaa?......... Okay main agle flight se sidha Mumbai aata hun.

(Yes mami....?............. What dad!!........... What happened?.......... Okay I am coming in the next flight directly to the Mumbai.)
