4. 😳Accidental Encounter 😳

A little while back when Annika and Chanda walked out of the house, Annika noticed her two-wheeler lying there. It was unused from quite some time. She used it very frequently when she was here. In her absence, Chanda was using it.

However, for the last one month it remained untouched, except that it used to be regularly cleaned by her dad. Annika looked at Chanda and Chanda immediately understood what this girl was upto.

"Annika, no, we ain't taking any such risks. What if it stops midway?"

"What risk? Let's use it. Waise bhi we need to go till there" Annika shrugged.

"But we can go by walk na. We can happily talk and go" Chanda smiled sheepishly.

"Nooo wayyyy.. I am not walking for that long today. Chalo, let's take it" Annika glared at her.

"But Annika....."

"Shut up and come. No more ifs and buts"

Chanda could never win over Annika in any argument. She was still waiting for a day she could convince Annika, that would definitely be one of the happiest days in her life. But, it always happened otherwise. With no more heart and strength to argue, she nodded and they left in the vehicle.

*****************************************

It was indeed not a smooth ride just as they had anticipated. Being unused for over a month, it was already giving strange noises and little trouble.

Annika thereby drove slowly to avoid any damage to either of them as well as the vehicle. She decided that she would have to give it for service sooner or later.

She was already so pissed off as she was driving slowly, adding to that irritation, her vehicle stopped midway on the main road. While she dragged it to a corner and was trying to kickstart it again, a car, rather taxi, that came in full speed collided slightly with her vehicle before applying the brakes forcefully. Due to the sudden jolt, the vehicle as well as the two girls and their things fell down.

Annika got up and helped Chanda up too. She knocked on the car's glass and stared at the driver, asking him to get down. The driver, rubbing against his temples sightly, asked his passenger to remain seated inside and got down, requesting him to wait for just two minutes, not knowing that he was going to face a fierceful storm and not a normal girl.

"Bhaiya, kya stunt tha woh?? Yeh main road hai, koi highway nahi hai" she angrily shouted.

"Arre ladki, Tu main road mai kyaa kar rahi ho" he spat back.

"Accha, waise mai road ke centre mein nahi hoon" she retorted back saying she was not standing in the middle of the road, rather just in one corner of it.

But, the driver kept arguing with her to no resolve.

"Waise aap kyaa saabit karne ka koshish kar rahe hai bhaiya, aap bilkul sahi the aur mai galath??" She was now totally annoyed.

"Annika..ignore maaro na, it's getting late" Chanda tried to pacify her seeing anger painted all over her face.

"Aise kaise ignore maroo, let me handle him, customers kaise aathe hai iss bandhe ke car mein" Annika tried to look into the car to check if anyone was seated inside.

Wondering what the driver was upto for this long, Shivaay noticed that he was arguing with some people, which looked like two young girls.

Initially, he had no idea what the driver had done. When he had applied the brakes suddenly, few minutes ago, Shivaay still thought there was something or someone blocking their way. Of course, he did notice a two wheeler in front, but did not suspect it to be an accident or anything, as the driver had very casually got down asking him to stay back inside.

But, even after close to ten minutes of saying so, the driver had not returned, which confirmed that there was something that had terribly gone wrong outside and he decided to check on it himself. He initially just opened the car's window glasses, and to his shock, he noticed a girl with chocolate brown orbs walking towards the car with those beautiful eyes full of rage. He assumed she would be in her mid-twenties. There was also another girl almost of her age who stood at the other corner of the car, giving a completely confused look.

Annika waved her hands to and forth his face before he was trying to understand the actual situation.

" Hello mister, aise speed mein kahaan jaa rahe hai? Aur aise drivers pe bharosa kaise karte hai? Kyaa aap seedhe parlog jaana chahte hain??" She literally snapped her fingers in front of him and asked.

He was completely taken aback by her reaction. He had no idea who this girl was, but still she had the audacity to speak to him, to THE Shivaay Singh Oberoi, like that.

It just shook his ego. Why not? None till now had the courage to speak like that to Shivaay Singh Oberoi, not even his parents or not even OmRu. Not that there was any such situation that came up, but yes, he was indeed labelled as a very arrogant businessman at times, whenever he lost his cool even for the smallest of things at office, which in turn reflected sometimes at home as well.

He angrily got down from the car to take a lesson of this girl.

"Who gave you the rights to speak to me like that?Do you even know who I am? I am the great.." she cut him off before he completed.

"Kyun?Kaun hai aap? bhagwan hai kyaa? Accha, bhagwan se meeting karne ke liye jaa rahe the na, sorry, bhool gayi" she said sarcastically.

"Fhat the whuck??" Shivaay screamed.

"Hello mister, language.. Is this how you talk to a girl?" she warned him.

He looked at her in a confused manner, wondering how this small town girl understood what he had just uttered accidentally. He understood that he should not have used such offensive language to a girl.

"Well..I am SORRY. I thought you would not understand" he blabbered in confusion.

"Excuse me, what do you mean I would not understand" she shouted getting even more angry, not realising that she was taking the argument on a completely different tangent.

"Oh well, I thought you don't know that level of English" he further rambled, as he was completely lost as to what was making him so unlike him today, and he was still calm with a girl who was arguing with him for no mistake of his, at least according to him.

"Excuse me?? Just because you are from a city, or atleast that is how you look like and are a classy businessman, you will talk whatever you want to?? Well, that gets me back to the point, I know you guys don't follow speed limits in city. That does not mean you drive like you are on a highway, on the main road of a relatively smaller town as this" Before he could stop her, she further continued "now don't tell me you were not driving, but don't you have the basic responsibility to ask your driver to have a control over his speed limits?"

Shivaay decided to remain quiet, as he knew she was anyway not going to let him speak out.

"And, my poor Champa, look at her condition" Annika said dramatically.

Shivaay initially thought Champa was the other girl, but when he saw Annika pointing out to the car front, he was taken aback. One reason being he was concerned of who was injured because of this stupid reckless driver, another being why this silly girl was arguing when someone lay injured instead of giving them some immediate medical aid. Without wanting to waste anymore time, he immediately shouted at her -

"What nonsense? Why are you wasting time when someone is injured, come let's check"

"What who mister? It is my champa" she snapped back at him yet again!

"And who is she?" He asked.

"Don't you dare make fun of my vehicle?" She glared.

By the time her words registered in Shivaay's mind, he was just flabbergasted. God, this girl was truly unbelievable. So, she had a name for her vehicle, like seriously??

"You can't be serious, can you? You have a name for your vehicle?"

While these two were having a baseless argument, the driver,on the other hand, had apologised to Chanda and pleaded her to take away her friend, as he had his first customer for the day and that too who seemed to be having some urgent work before getting back to his city.

Chanda realised she had to stop Annika who was punishing that handsome guy who was in his three-piece suit. Further, when she heard what Annika said last, she quickly ran towards her to avoid any further embarrassment.

"Will you come now or I will call uncle and complain?"

"What about my Champa? I am not sparing these guys today. Dekho, I have been screaming on top of my voice. kaise bandha hai yeh?koi reaction nahi de raha hai"she said dramatically.

'Drama queen' thought Shivaay.

"Sorry sir, you please leave, I will handle her" Chanda smiled sheepishly at Shivaay.

"Oye, aise kaise they will leave. My dress is damaged too. What am I supposed to wear tomorrow then? And how will we go now, look at my chameli"

"Chameli??" now Shivaay wondered who or rather what that was.

"My sandals mister. I slipped and it broke" She said showing it to him. Chanda was getting even more embarrassed.

"Are you mad? What are they supposed to do about it?? You are unnecessarily wasting their time, chalo let's go" Chanda pleaded.

Shivaay took a bundle of cash from his pocket and showed it to her.

"Here, have this, you can use it for whatever damages caused, I believe it will be more than sufficient." He stated casually.

"Haww, so much tadi?" She glared at him.

"Ufff.. Now what's this tadi?" He sighed.

"You don't know tadi, 'attitude' it means 'attitude' " she was proud of her own dictionary.

"Look who is talking. Now, why don't you yourself give the solution madam? I believe you have work, and I have lots too. You wasted so much of my time today" he said looking at his watch.

"Akdu" she murmured now.

"Anyways, listen, I don't need your money. Just apologise and you both can leave" she recommended.

"You know what, you are just unbelievable. I had already told you a .." before he could finish, she cut him off.

"Oh hello mister, that sorry was for your offensive language"

"Gosh, don't get there again. Right, I AM SORRY" he finally said having no more mood to argue with her.

He had so much more to do. He could handle her later, he thought, when he remembered they were all anyways coming to this same town in a couple of days. It was indeed a small town, finding her would not be a big deal. They were of course coming for a wedding, but Shivaay Singh Oberoi had his own ways of finding out things.

"Well, I am accepting your apology as I have no mood to argue today"
Shivaay rolled his eyes at that remark.

"Oh yeah, she had no mood to argue after all. And, I don't know what would have happened if she had any mood for it."

When she was finally walking away, he asked,

"Oh hey, what about your dress then?"

"Don't act like you are too concerned mister, I can take care of it" she scowled.

"Whatever" Shivaay thought of the response he had got for being a little considerate with this girl for the first time in his life.

"I am sorry sir. She is too stressed out today. Sorry to waste your time" Chanda apologised on her behalf. Shivaay wondered how this girl was friends with that Attitude queen.

"That is ok" he gently smiled.

"You coming or I will leave you and go, enough of checking out on him" Chanda glared at her remark and immediately left.

"What the hell? This girl is just unbelievable" he sighed as he finally sat inside his car.

"Bahut attitude haina sir iss ladki ko" the driver remarked and Shivaay just stared at him. If only he had driven the car carefully, Shivaay need not have wasted this time, need not have even met her, most importantly need not have apologised to her.

The driver, immediately realised that his passenger was angry and thought it would be better if he kept his mouth shut.

****************************************

Shivaay went to the hotel, spoke to the managers and booked required amount of rooms. As he had anyway gone in person, he just did a check on the maintenance and ambience, and after he was satisfied with everything, he left back to Mumbai.

The rest of his day went in signing some last minute files before he went home. It was indeed a long day, moreover, he was tired too. Though the first half of his day was more like a nightmare, he was looking forward to the night, as he was going to be home around dinner time after what seemed like ages, after which he could have some chit-chat with his brothers too, at their favorite spot!
