Time Keeps Moving
It has been a few days since the accident. Martha kept the two in the orphanage to heal up. No mater what they said to leave to get out of her hair. She simply kept them in.
Finally Martha let them out of the place. "Finally we can get our decks back." Tess broke the silence once they were a good distance away. "Anyway where are we going?" Tess looked at her company. "Yugi?" She asked in concern for her friend never answered her. "Sorry." Looking up at Tess. "I was thinking."
"About what?"
"How to find the others. Where are they? Things like that."
"And trying to put who is who, ne?" Tess poked her cheek. "Is Martha the same girl? Yusei looks so much like Nerdy? And I hate the fact that this happened." Yugi threw her arms around gesturing to their surroundings. The city was split in two. The beloved city Yugi knew had changed so much. Not only there was so much new technology the city was split in two. She could handle the new technology it was the fact the city was in two. One side was in better condition than the other. It felt like the Hunting era. But, different. Worse even.
Tess looked at her it has been awhile since Yugi vented out. "Yu, are you ok?" Looking at the frightened girl Yugi smiled.
"What is wrong with being me? I'm free. I can love, hate. I can cry without trying to hid it. Smiling and enjoying whatever little thing that there is to enjoy."
"Crying, really?"
"I've only showed one my tears. Because I could not take much more of hiding the pain. I was about to break from all the pressure."
"You broke from a beating, Yu."
"I know. Don't remind me." The two continued on tell they reached -what they remember to be- a park. "Hoho, Told you it wouldn't be here." Yugi just glared at her. "I don't even remember where the entrance is." Tess flared her arms to help make her point. "Memory map." Mumbling to herself. In her head a map of what she remembers of the place laid there for her to see.
Yugi walked on the path that was laid out on her Memory map. "Yu, we can't go in."
"Yes, we can," Looking to the brush, "this is the entrance." Pointing to what was once a path to the park. Sighing Tess followed the younger one in. After being scratched by the branches of the bushes and other plant life.
After screaming high pitched and jumping ten feet into the air from being scared out of their loving minds from a snake that almost bit Yugi. They finally made it to the clearing that Yugi was looking for. "Don't do Memory Map again. Unless its says 'hey there is a snake that is going to scare you shitless." Yugi looked at her for she has never heard the girl swear. "You have never sworn in your life. What makes you do that now?"
"Oh, I don't know." Sarcasem bleeding out of her words. The tri-colored haired girl shook her head. "Are we there yet? Cause I really want to keep the next 50 years of my life."
"You do?" Looking back at her with a look of disbelif. "I would love to lose the next 3,000 years of my life." Tess would have said more. But, because of the sound of heart brokenness that came through her voice Tess kept silent. Tess watch as the young girl run around trying to enjoy the freedom as much as she can. "...........my basement."
Looking up seeing Yugi stand there with her hands on her hips cocked to the side and an eyebrow cocked as well. Tess gave her what-did-I-do look with slight shrug of the shoulders. Yugi sighed at her foolishness and waved her off as she turned around. Walking to the middle of the clearing she turned to face her friend.
"I wanna try something." Her hand over her deck. Tess looked at her then realized what she meant. Nodding her head she evened out with the younger one. She too did the same as the other. Both of their decks started to float in the air. Once all the cards were out of the holster the girls' brought out their arms, and the cards gathered together under their hands. Bringing their hands in front of them. The cards shuffled around not showing what they hid. The movements of the cards died down and place in two decks.
"80 in total, first with blood." They both yelled at each other. "Five each, third round is first attack." Continuing their conditions. Tess' had more monster cards than spell and trap cards. Unlike her, Yugi's monster and, spell and trap cards were about equal. Using their right index and pinkie finger to draw the ten cards.
