Chapter 21 [Yukie's P.O.V.]

I had this weird dream of sandwiches, ice cream and pancakes that night. It was pleasant singing with Ed and minty once again ....

It was weird Eds pet fox became a human but I guess you get used to stuff like that after awhile right?

I mean, an A.I. gone alive, perfect sandwiches, fox turned human and started talking ... me being half demon seems .... normal now.

but yeah .... Life's way better here .....

When I used to live in the city ..... it was traumatizing .... so much running .... so much hiding ...

I'm glad i decided to come here, its way better. Sure life's still crazy but love it here more.

Someone knocks on my door, I stood up and went towards the door but then remembered. "In a minute!" I said as I got dressed and opened the door. It was Ed.

"Hello Ed" I said with a smile

"Um ... Hey Yukie."

"Do you like ..... want to go somewhere together? I mean, there are lots of places here on this Island."

I smiled "Sure but who's gonna watch Minty?" I asked. She shouldn't be left alone after all.

"She'll be fine, apparently, nyaru-kun's persona is based off of me. Me and nyaru-kun spent last night figuring out his abilities"

"Woah, really?" I asked amazed. "I figured he'd kinda be a mini Minty since her magic made him human"

"well ... yeah. He's part minty, part me, and part fox. interesting really."

"So ..? um ... there is a cave my probes found out. Want to check it out?"

I nod then smiled"lets go, but tell Minty & Nyaru before we go"

"Sure thing." He walked out and knocked on minty's door "Oi Minty!"

"I'm leaving Nyaru-kun with you!" with that, ed picked up nyaru-kun who just came out of ed's room, opened the door to minty's room, put him in and closed the door.

"Where are you going?" asked a tired Minty. She looked so cute in the bunny onesie she had on. "We're gonna go explore the cave Eds probes were looking at. Dont leave." I said. She hugged her pillow & yawned "sleep, got it."

I giggled "I said dont leave"

"Ok we wont leave." she yawned. "good" I giggled again.

Minty went back and fell onto the bed, dragged nyaru kun along with him and held onto him like a plushie, mumbled a few words and fell asleep again.

"See?" Ed said. "Told you she'd be fine"

"I suppose so. why are you suddenly getting an urge to go out with me? is is for an experiment or something?" I asked, it did intrigue me. Usually he'd play with Minty in the morning for a while before doing anything.

I looked at him.

"UHH ... umm .... I uhh ...." Ed was apparently blushing madly, very peculiar.

I giggled "well?"

"J-just this place looked very beautiful and I wanted to show you that's all .... it looks like that early morning only ..."

I nodded & led the way"Lets go!"
"s-sure, just up the mountain beside the pink tree."

I grabbed his hand & rushed off

As we reached the place, the pink tree looked beautiful as ever ...

Reminded me of the sakura trees from when I was in Japan ...

I smiled "its nice"

"it's not all! come in!" Ed went inside a small cave entrance that had small pink flowers grown all around it

I followed him around.

As we went inside, I stood there for a full minute, thinking about what i saw .....

It was a huge garden inside. A huge spherical room of sorts. there was a bridge leading inside a big tree growing from the middle-bottom of the place. There were pink bunnies all below and so many different kinds of flowers, colors.

"i think you brought the wrong person Ed, this seems better for Minty" I said as I looked around

"B-but ... I wanted to show you first ..." Ed looked down

I smiled "that's sweet."

"Do you like it here ...? I mean ... for some reason the crystals providing the light go very dim after a while. they only glow early morning. must be a sunlight mechanism"

I nodded "I love it" He was being such a dork right now.

"Come inside the tree! there is still something else!"

Ed ran into the tree.

I followed him

"Lookie here. it's a crystal. Just like the one we're using in our uplink. but so much purer. I think it has healing properties and it's providing everything that's around us right now."

I nodded

"I suppose I should bring minty here next time too ..."

I nodded and smiled. "But, for now we can spend time together"

at that, Ed blushed like a beet. "W-we can?"

I nodded more

"I never got to talk about how you lived, Yukie ..." Ed said as we sat on the bridge, legs hanging below.

I looked down, how do i tell him?

I sighed "Ed .... Life before here was ..... not okay ... I had to move too much ... people were unbearable .... I don't want to discuss it .... because I want to stay in the now ..." I said as I looked down.

I blushed when he hugged me "Alright, i wont push it"he said holding me close.

"th-thanks ed .... I .... I love it here."

"your welcome"he said still holding me close.

Somehow Ed fell asleep. He was relaxed. maybe he got too tired of all the work.

I stood there for a few more minutes just taking in the area.

After a while, We both were back at our home, the dome. Ed was still asleep in her room while minty was doing something in the kitchen. I could hear loud noises.

After a loud bang was heard I ran to the kitchen to find Nyaru and Minty covered in chocolate.

Minty was sitting on the floor sobbing. "Sniff ...."

"Are you okay, what happened?" I kneeled next to them trying to clean up Nyaru and Minty's faces.

Nyaru kun was constantly trying to lick her face. Minty said "I-I was trying to make some cake for everyone b-but my magic poofed and ... and ... the ganache exploded..." She was on the brink of exploding into tears herself.

I panicked, frozen in shock, having no idea what to do I quickly said "I'll help get more ingredients and help bake a new cake."

Minty stopped sobbing almost instantly. "REALLY!?" Her eyes sparkling.

Shocked by the outburst I stumbled to reply " y-yes. Anything y-you need i'll g-get."

"YAY!" Somehow all the chocolate on her poofed and minty hugtackled me. "I get to make a cake with you~"
"Nyaru! Help!"

To add to that. Nyaru had to jump at me as well, licking my face.

Suddenly, as if on cue, Ed came into the kitchen rubbing his eyes. "Hey ... wh-" He stood there for a moment, not sure what was happening.

"Ed, help me please?"

I was on the ground with Nyaru and Minty on me so I didn't try getting up.

Minty giggles "sorry"

He smiled and couldn't help laughing as he picked up the aggressively cute minty off of me. He held her up on his shoulders. "okay~ so what did i miss?"

Minty squealed & pats Ed in a most spectacular way.

I sat up holding Nyaru "Minty exploded a cake and made a mess" I mumble while pouting.

Minty giggles"I'm all hyper now"

"Well, we could make a new one!" He smiled as he sat minty on the kitchen table.

Minty licks him laughing.
I laughed putting Nyaru down and look for a rag to clean the floor and table.

Ed was preparing the ingredients in the meanwhile as he handed me a rag. "There you go~" He started helping me with the floor instead.

I pat his head "Thanks". I cheerfully smile

Minty watched from the table having a giggling fit.

As we were done cleaning he stood up and started mixing the white part of the cake. "Let's make a Pokemon Black and white cake!" He said laughing.

"Good idea. Minty?" I look question Minty on her opinion.

Minty smiles"Ok!"
