A four-part series dedicated to those with a bad past, yet who somehow managed to turn themselves around. Forgiveness, Purpose, Strength, and Resilience. Four stories, four individuals. These are short stories that contain doses of self-hatred, disaster, love, and hope.

book two: purpose

Kira's bad habits of sex and drugs catch up to her when she is arrested for possession of cocaine and public indecency. After serving time in the county state prison, she reluctantly returns home for her short sentence of probation.

Stuck in one place, twenty-four/seven, Kira's state of mind wanders to darker places. She convinces herself that the only thing she's worthy of is having sex, and she decides that, after the period of probation is over, her only option is to turn to prostitution. Kira doesn't think she can make it in life without using her body for men.

After all, Kira truly believes she has no other purpose.
