"You what?" My eyes were filled with remorse, watching Scott, who stood in front of me.

"You heard me..." I murmured, looking away.

"Why...?" I closed my eyes, feeling them well with tears.

"I snapped, okay? I... I couldn't control myself..."

"So you killed children?!" I flinched, looking up at him. His lips were gnawed raw, and I gently teethed at my own.

"Scott... I wasn't myself..." I met his bloodshot eyes with my own.

"The hell you weren't yourself! You killed children, for fuck's sakes! That's fucked up! You're fucked up!" He shouted, stepping out and slamming the door behind him. I watched the door, vision blurring as I crumpled to my knees. From there, I fell to my side, lying curled on the floor as I sobbed.

I groaned, coming to. Dan stood over me, their eyes glinting with worry.

"Thought you were dead. What's wrong?" I sat up, rubbing my head.

"Scott left..." Dan nodded.

"He's at my brother's. Couldn't get anything out of him. What happened between you two?"

"I... Would you call the cops if I admitted to a crime?" Dan shook their head. I inhaled deeply, sighing. "I confessed to, uh, murdering the five kids who went missing at the pizzeria..." I got quieter on the last part, upset that I'd snapped and murdered kids.

"I figured. Don't think you can fool me, Dylin. I'm not as easily fooled as the rest of our group. Don't think I didn't figure it out," they said, looking me dead in the eye.

"How...?"

"Dylin. I am huge on reading about murders and how to get away with them. You know this. You've known me since before I identified as agender. If I haven't turned you in yet, I'm not gonna turn you in. So you told Scott that and he left?" I nodded.

"He called me a fuck up..." Dan growled softly. "Dan..." they looked at me.

"Dylin."

"Don't do anything rash. I don't want you to hurt him..."

"I'm not. We're gonna go see him." My eyes widened slightly. "You can't object, either. I will drag you out of here, and you can't hurt me. If you do, Mike won't forgive you. Thus, neither will Scott or Jere," he said. I sighed. They have a point.

"Fine." I got up, walking out to Dan's truck. They followed, unlocking it. I climbed into the passenger seat, looking out the window. Dan started it and pulled out of the driveway.

"Hey, Dan?" They glanced over before looking back at the road. I knew they weren't talkative, so I took it as a signal to go on. "What if he doesn't-" I broke off, a sob catching in my throat. Pathetic.

"He will. Apparently he was sobbing to his heart's content in Mike's living room. According to Mike and Jeremy, at least." I nodded, glancing at the apartment building where said men lived. Dan parked next to Mike's Chevy, turning the truck off and opened the door, letting it rest on the Chevy's door. "C'mon, Dyl. Let's go repair your relationship." I sighed, sliding out of the truck. They locked the doors, walking to the apartment. I followed, dragging my feet. They unlocked the door, holding it open for me.

Dry sobs were heard from the doorway, and I bolted towards the living room. I got to the living room doorway, peering inside. Mike was kneeling on the floor, holding Scott close and rubbing his back. Jeremy was off to the side, sitting quietly.

"S-Scott?" I mumbled, watching his figure. I felt Dan's presence behind me, peering over my shoulder. Scott turned a little, facing Dan and I. I practically ran over, kneeling down and pulling him close. I let out a dry sob, burying my face in the crook of his neck. Shuffling was heard, followed by a door shutting carefully. I sobbed heavily as Scott's arms wrapped around me.

"I love you so much...," I cried. "Please don't leave me." His body convulsed, a tell-tale sign he was crying too.

"I won't. I swear," he muttered, tightening his grip on me.

"I was so scared... I thought-" He cut me off, pressing his lips to mine harshly. My eyes slid closed, hand tangling in his hair.

He pulled back, locking eyes with me. "I'm not leaving you, Dylin. I swear. I love you. Yeah, what you did was horrid, but that's in the past. It made you who you are now. The Dylin I fell in love with." I smiled faintly.

"I love you, too."
