Stormy Weather
When Juniper woke the next morning, she was greeted by silence. Black was gone. The sheets were stone cold, indicating her mate had left a while ago.
Juniper sat up, shrugging to herself before she went in search of her missing mate... who was nowhere to be found.
"He stormed off somewhere earlier this morning." Lyra informed her helpfully, as she went about her duties as Luna Queen – which was pretty much just making sure all the Alphas were doing their jobs while her mate did some paperwork. "He's still in the grounds of Blagmoor Castle, as far as I'm aware, but other than that, I've got no clue. Sorry."
And so off Juniper went, searching the castle from high to low, and when that turned up nothing, she went out into the gardens.
"Black?!" She called, scanning every inch of the neat gardens. Even going as far to search every inch of the monstrous maze, before she turned her attention to the forest beyond.
He was somewhere in there.
He had to be.
"BLACK?!" She yelled, wrapping her arms around herself as she ventured into the forest, her eyes narrowing on the darkening sky.
Her mate had been MIA for nearly a whole day, and Juniper was not happy. As much as she hated to admit it, Black had been growing on her.
Like fungus.
A delightfully annoying fungus.
"BLACK?!" Her voice echoed off the trees, the hairs on the back of her neck up on end.
Juniper felt oddly afraid for some reason.
She soon realised why, as her eyes rolled back into her head, leaving the present, peering into the future instead.
The Vision Chills, she called them.
And she only got them before a big one.

"Are you trying to trick me or something...?" Rust, the Light God's Chosen asked, laughing at how out of place she looked, dressed in a elegant dress with matching long lacy gloves covering her hands which twitched in agitation.
"It's the final showdown, Rusty." She growled, her teeth elongating, becoming sharp little daggers that hung over her lower lip. "Best hope your luck doesn't run out here."
"I could say the same thing about you." He grinned. "You've shown me every single one of your abilities, and you've barely scratched the surface of mine."
"Oh, you silly little boy." Juniper taunted. "I still have a very big trump card up my sleeve..."
"The fact you can see the future?"
Juniper froze.
"Got you." Rust smirked. "So, tell me... Oh great Seer... Did you see this happening?"
Juniper's vision blurred, and before she knew what was happening, she was watching herself stagger backwards, dagger buried in side.
"What?!" She muttered, watching as the scene faded into the clouds. "No..." She stepped through the fog. "Show me what that was!"
The future didn't listen though.
It never did.
Instead, the clouds distorted, future Juniper vanishing, replaced by a towering grey castle.
Blagmoor Castle.
On fire.
A very familiar blonde-haired man stood by the castle, grinning widely as he watched it fall. The Light God's Chosen. "I win..." He laughed, throwing his arms wide. "Nobody can stop me anymore..." His gaze flickered down to the ground. "Sorry, Juniper, but only one of us can exist at a time..." He said, staring at the corpse at his feet.
Her corpse.
Juniper froze in the vision, her eyes widening. "No..." She blinked, watching as the clouds rolled back over the scene. "Show me more!" She screamed, trying to claw her way back to the scene, dread pooling in her stomach as she felt herself being flung back through the ripples of time, and back to the present.

Juniper woke with a start, her breath coming in ragged gasps as she lay on the snow-covered ground, staring up into the sky. She froze, one hand reaching for the soft white flakes gently falling from the sky. "I'm going to die..." She whispered, the realisation of what she'd just seen hitting her like a train. Her bluish fingers curled into weak fists. "No..." Tears leaked down her frozen face, feeling like beads of ice as they rolled over her freezing skin. "I'll change it. That's what these visions are for..." Her voice croaked, dying away suddenly as her arm flopped to the ground. She stared at her arm in confusion, staring up at the sky in shock as she realised how light it suddenly seemed.
She'd been out all night.
The realisation made Juniper freeze, as she soon figured out why she hadn't pieced things together sooner.
She wasn't cold.
Which wasn't a very good thing.
In fact, it was a very bad thing.
She was hypothermic.
Very hypothermic.
Even in her addled brain, she could piece together that much.
Lying all night in the snow tended to do that to people.
It could also kill people.
Very idiotic people.
A flash of red lightning interrupted her panicking. "My Goddess..." Lyra muttered, staring down at her, watching as relief flooded Juniper's face. "I told those idiots something was wrong, and did they believe me?! No!" She picked her up with surprising ease. "Come on." She sighed. "Let's get you to Hunter before you die."
"That'd be nice." Juniper croaked, watching as they arrived back inside Blagmoor Castle in an instant.
"Oh, Hunter!" Lyra called, staring at the brunette at the other end of the breakfast table. "Come and help Juniper before she dies."
"What?" Said Alpha was at their side in seconds, wincing as he touched Juniper's skin. "Goddess, you're freezing..."
"I told you something was wrong." Lyra said, carrying the pair of them to the hospital on a wave of red lightning, depositing Juniper on the hospital bed. The redhead vanished in a flash of red lightning, reappearing moments later with Black in tow, for reasons which soon became obvious.
"Strip, Black." Hunter ordered.
"I'm sorry... WHAT?!"
"Your mate is hypothermic." He stated, carefully removing Juniper's sodden clothing, leaving her in only her bra and knickers. "So, strip down to your undies and get under the covers with her. She isn't going to warm herself up, you know."
"It'll be a good bonding session for you." Lyra chimed in, smiling impishly as she waved goodbye, disappearing in the next second.
"I swear Blaze is rubbing off on her..." Hunter mumbled, watching as a half-naked Black climbed under the thick covers that'd been placed over his mate. "Make sure she stays awake." He ordered, wandering towards the door. "Yell if anything happens."
"Sure thing, H."
