~*Seventh Chapter*~
*Come Monday + Major Cussing Warning + Implied Gore*
Shoto and Katsuki were in the front office, telling the details to the receptionist about how their week was going to go.
They planned on taking it slow, despite Katsuki's very aggressive protests, and were going to do two group jobs.
Something that Aizawa-sensei didn't explain, was that each individual student could take on one job on their own per week, though it wasn't recommended.
They didn't plan on doing separate missions anytime soon, to say the least.
"Hey Deku! Is your group inside right now?" Uraraka greeted her friend, going up to stand next to him on the side where the smoke he released from his mouth wouldn't properly reach her.
Izuku took in an inhale from his lit cig, and let out the smoke through his nose so he wasn't talking with smoke coming out of his mouth.
"Hey Ura. Yeah they are, just decided to stay out here, plus it's a chance for me to sneak a smoke in."
"Oh lord, do your partners even know that you're smoking?!" she asked him, a slight worry for him coating her words.
Izuku shook his head and looked at Uraraka as if she had sprouted a second head.
"Are you kidding me? They would fucking murder me if they found out! They'd probably try to squash me like a bug, bring me back to life, and then scold me. And the only reason why they wouldn't squish me again is because Shoto would be there! They're very particular about their drugs, Ura," Izuku responded, his words gushing a thick sarcastic tone as he went in for another intake of nicotine-laced smoke.
Uraraka rolled her eyes at what Izuku said and put her hands on her hips as she spoke in a motherly way,
"They wouldn't give a shit, would they?"
"Of course they wouldn't, Ura. Nobody does." He chuckled at his own words as he dropped his cig on the ground and stepped on it, putting it out even though it wasn't even close to being finished.
"Yeah, well-"
"Alright Midoriya, we've got the jobs. One of them will be killing a mass murderer that is in debt to the school, I don't how he is, but he is. And then the second one will be to kill off an assassin that used to attend here, but has failed to do a job on time. He's not very good at assassination, so it shouldn't be too hard. But then again, when is anything ever easy in life?" Todoroki informed of his green-haired friend, said male shaking his head and grabbing the paper that the taller teen was reading off from.
"Never," he responded to the rhetorical question, scanning over everything just to make sure.
Katsuki snorted as he grabbed the paper from Izuku's hand just like he had with Shoto, and sped walked towards the dorms.
"So the in-debt killer's name is Keneth Nozunori apparently. What about the terrible assassin? I didn't get to read everything, Kacchan," Izuku said, sticking his tongue out at the ash blonde's retreating back.
"Yes, um...I do believe their name is Angel Ikiyara. They do not have a specific gender, according to our intel, and I have only partially memorized both their address and Nozunori's," Shoto answered, running a hand through his hair as he quickly trailed after Katsuki.
'Damn, okay,' Izuku thought, a little surprised that Shoto had memorized pieces of info about their two targets already. He ran a little bit and eventually caught up to Shoto, who was standing in the door frame of Katsuki's dorm by then, the ash blonde himself walking into his room leisurely.
"So...which will we do first, and when?" Izuku asked awkwardly, shifting back and forth on his feet as he had no clue what to do with himself while he stood next his dual-haired friend.
"Nozunori and later tonight," Katsuki answered, rummaging through the small closet by his bed.
If Izuku had water or some sort of drink in his mouth, he would have spit it out at Katsuki's words.
"Are you kidding me?! Today?! Shouldn't we wait, or, I don't know, train a little more and at least go tomorrow?!" Izuku shouted, not caring about Katsuki's neighbors.
Katsuki simply shook his head and grabbed a random flannel he found hanging, throwing it on his bed and taking the shirt he was wearing off.
Izuku resisted the urge to look down, as he knew it wasn't the time to appreciate the fact that pretty boys existed; even if they were dicks a lot of the time.
"It'll be fine, Midoriya. Yes, this is a bit risky going today of all days, but I'm sure the worst that will happen is that one of us, or all, you never know, get injured, but we make it out alive anyways," Shoto reasoned for his green-eyed partner, sighing and running his fingers through his bi-colored hair.
Izuku said nothing at that, and gave both his classmates a look that implied both of them were idiots before continuing down the hallway in search of his own dorm room. Neither boys that were now left alone did anything to stop him, knowing that he just needed time to calm down and then he'd most likely come around.
Most likely.
"I can fucking talk for myself y'know," Katsuki spoke up after the two sat in silence for a few moments, grabbing his fresh shirt and putting it on, then throwing himself onto his bed. Shoto sighed once more as he leisurely walked over to the small desk that was pushed up against the wall facing Katsuki's dorm doorway. He pulled the swivel-chair tucked into the desk and plopped into it, propping his feet onto it and grabbing a pencil sitting next to his legs.
"I don't care, you would have said something that would have riled up Midoriya, and none of us needed that, so I took it upon myself to deal with it. I mean, I have become an expert at such a practice." Shoto smirked slightly as he twirled the No.2 pencil in his hands a bit. Katsuki immediately bolted up from his laying position and angrily stomped his way over to Shoto, grabbing the front of his shirt and pulling his face close to him with his lips curled into a snarl.
"You think you're so high and mighty, you little fucker? Well I have news for you, I've never needed a babysitter, like you make it seem so, and I never will! So stop babying me, yeah?" Katsuki gazed into his friends' heterochromatic eyes, finding himself unable to peel his own from the glittering orbs that were staring just as deeply into his.
"You should probably let me go, y'know, before I encapture you with my charms," Shoto sarcastically stated, his smirk only slightly widening as he intensified the boys' little staring contest. Katsuki's face went as bright as a tomato at Shoto's words, most likely from embarrassment, and he let the dual-haired boy go after a few more moments of protest.
"You're such a sly bastard, Shoto. When was the last time that you have ever acted like that, huh?" Katsuki said, sitting back down on his comfortable mattress with his right hand over his mouth. Satisfied with himself, Shoto took his feet off of his friends' desk and set the pencil in his fingers down, wiping the smirk he had off his face, and accidentally replacing it with a slight look of wonder.
"Midoriya's bright personality seems to be getting to me. But only a little! Just a little. He's not that influential," he explained, getting into a position that could be interpreted as him being in deep thought. Katsuki shook his head and chuckled bitterly at his friend's words, getting into a similar position as Shoto, and said something under his breath.
"What'd you say?" Shoto questioned, cocking an eyebrow as his look of wonder was then replaced with his more common face; one of cold calculation.
Katsuki only shook his head and whispered a small, "nothing," before fully laying on his side, his back faced to Shoto.
'Yeah, right, nothing. And I'm Mr. Yagi."

"Alright kids, this is your stop for a solid chunk of the night. I'll be waiting a couple blocks over so as to not attract attention, so text me when your done and I'll drive back here, okay? Good, now get out," the same driver from the previous week told the three boys, his eyes never leaving the rear view mirror he was looking at.
"Thank you, Mr. Driver," Deku thanked the man, hopping out of the car and cutting off the, "your welcome," the driver would have replied back with.
Both Shoto and Katsuki left without saying anything to him, just giving him a nod and preparing themselves for what the night had in store for them.
The three of them were standing in front of a haunted house looking establishment; the windows that were installed broken, no lights were on, and the wood that was used to build the house was chipped and worn down everywhere.
It was fricking scary, and none of them liked it. Though, they were here now, so they couldn't back out, even if they wanted to.
"Five bucks that this is Pennywise's actual house, and he just rents out all of the sewers in the whole goddamn world for fun," Katsuki betted, adjusting the black suit he was wearing with pride evident on his features.
Izuku smacked the boys' arm and shook his head at his statement, forcing himself forward a few seconds later so he wouldn't have the chance to get cold feet. Katsuki looked at his red-and-white haired friend for support, thinking Izuku's reaction was a little ridiculous because his joke was definitely funny, but all he got was a glare and a head shake.
'Fuck, so I can't have a sense of humor on a mission or something?' Katsuki asked himself, muttering his complaints as he trailed after his partners.
Not wanting to take any chance of getting caught, the three of them decided to go through a first-level window that was located in the back of the house, being careful as to not make too much noise in case the target was asleep or vigilant. It wasn't hard to access the backyard, but they all silently agreed that the easy entrance was only the start.
They each went through the window one at a time, and soon discovered that the window made way to a pretty decently sized bathroom. Katsuki came after Shoto and Izuku, and so was the last to enter, but when he did, he observed the area they were occupying for a second, before reaching for the only door that was in the space and peaking it a bit, looking around the outside and slowly formulating a plan in his head.
He turned to look back at his companions and looked at them individually for a moment before speaking.
"Stupid nerd, you go search for possible hostages, the school wasn't sure if the murderer was keeping anyone, so yeah. Sho, you come with me, we'll go look for the soon-to-be-dead motherfucker, yeah?" he whispered to them, definitely not expecting the reactions that he received from his statement.
"Not gonna lie, you had us in the first half."
"'Sho?!'" They both whisper-screamed, Izuku not being able to resist the joke, and Shoto hinting that he was confused to all hell.
"Shut the fuck up, we'll talk about this later you two. Let's just get this shit over with," Katsuki addressed, holding his hands up, and for once, trying to hold his anger in so their job didn't go to all hell from the probable yelling fit that would ensue if he let it show.
Izuku shrugged his shoulders as he hid the small smile that was starting to form at Katsuki's nickname for Shoto, and slowly walked towards Katsuki so he could take a look outside for himself, Shoto doing nothing but shake his head in disbelief and wait for Izuku to do something.
Izuku gently pushed Katsuki out of the way as he opened the door fully and sneakily crouched down so he was at squat level, noticing that the door lead into a very small hallway, which extended to the living room, he could hear an old-timey kind of movie playing in there, and the kitchen to his right, and straight ahead of him was a much longer, and darker looking hallway.
He decided to go for the darker looking hallway, as that was most likely where the, if there even were any, hostages would be.
"We'll meet back here once we're done, yeah?" Katsuki more commanded than suggested, motioning to his still bewildered friend and doing the same thing Izuku was, but towards the living room instead.
Izuku opened the first door he came across with curiosity at the forefront of his mind, unfortunately finding nothing.
'Dooro numero uno down. Only an uncertain amount of doors left,' Izuku sassily thought, not realizing that he also whispered that to himself aloud.
He crouch-walked over to the second door he spotted in the hall, suddenly wondering why it was becoming his thing to walk down dark, scary hallways as he opened the door at a snail's pace.
What he found nearly knocked him off his feet by just the sheer shock of it all. His face peeled back a bit as his mouth fell open and his skin paled; his feeling the most appalled and disgusted in that moment then he ever had in his entire fucking life.
Bodies. There were...so many of them.
'Oh fuck, I'm gonna vomit. Oh fuck, oh fuck, oh fff-' he frantically chanted in his mind, covering his mouth and nose with his left hand from both feeling horrified and blocking out the terrible, terrible smell that was unwelcomingly wafting into his nostrils.
Burned, bleeding, and chopped up bodies, piles and piles of them littering the floor before him, a chair in the middle of all them being the only furniture in that room.
'Why...?!' he asked himself, making sure that he wouldn't make even a single peep as long as he was there, in that space, existing.
'I hate this world, I hate people, I hate this world...' was all he could think, everything repeating over and over as he couldn't properly function anymore. Though, not a single one of the words he thought were lies. He felt dirty just simply looking at the seemingly endless dead people that lay before him. He felt...so unclean in every way possible.
He had to get out. Away. Out. Gone was where he had to be. He slammed the door that opened up to lifelong-nightmares for him closed, forgetting that he and his classmates were on a mission to kill someone as well as finding hostages, as he scrambled to get up and away, just like he had urgently told himself to do. Throwing open very door in that damn, dank hallway with inhuman speed, he found empty rooms, with nothing as scary as the second door he opened.
At least, that's what he thought.
'Okay, last door. It's okay, everything's okay. All you gotta do...' he thought, his left hand inching towards the suddenly-terrifying doorknob that greeted him, '...is open this door, and..'
He opened the door, slower than the ones he had been hurriedly opening earlier, and was greeted by something he had hoped and prayed he'd never witness on the job.
He started to move forward in a haste, worry and fear clear as day on his face as he screamed,
"Oh my god, K-!" but was sourly interrupted by a succession of loud bangs and thumps that was probably coming from the living room, and then one, singular gunshot ringing throughout the household.
'Guys?!'
He only turned his head toward the open door for a second, as he was still worried about the sight he was walking towards, when he was greeted by empty space after turning his head back around.
'What?! W-where-'
"Midoriya! We killed him, now let's get out of here!" He heard Shoto's voice yell to him, snapping him out of the daze he was in.
'I-I...I definitely don't get paid enough,' he bitterly, and yet somehow slightly, sassily thought, staggering to the hallway he had come down as everything he had witnessed finally started to sink in.
A small chuckle could be heard in the empty room he had just walked away from, only livening the ominous space for the few moments the chuckle sounded, unknowingly to Izuku of course.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
When the three of them met up again, Shoto and Katsuki had slight blood splatter in their button-ups, but they didn't complain much. They were sure that the school had agents that could he easily used on the clothes to get out, which was why they didn't mind as much as one normally would. Izuku was very, very shaken up, and what he had seen hasn't completely registered in his mind, which he was ever grateful for.
Todoroki and Bakugo of course asked him why he was so...filled with fear, since it so unlike him, but he wasn't able to form coherent sentences just yet, so all he did was tell them he was fine and "not to worry," and they said nothing further, knowing if he was this scared, they shouldn't push it.
Katsuki was less willing to leave it alone, seeing as he noticed that not a lot messed with the emerald-eyed teen, so it must have been pretty bad if he reacted as badly to it as he had. But, in the end, he inevitably conceded and just barely let Izuku off with a warning about Katsuki soon finding out the truth.
Izuku didn't object to that, though. As long as he didn't have to answer questions, or talk in general, he was fine.
The van eventually arrived at the not-so-esteemed estate they had just murdered a murderer surprisingly easily in, taking the waiting trio back to U.A. at a decent speed.
When they got to their school, the three boys climbed out of the car, all of them thanking the driver this time around, who's name was Carlos, apparently, and, in Izuku's case at least, bolted it for the building right next to the main school building, which held the dorms and lounge, 'yay to the dorms,' Izuku thought.
On his way there, a certain yellow-haired boy, red-haired boy, and the rest of the Bakusquad were hanging around in the lounge. Izuku wasn't necessarily acquaintances with all of them, but he wasn't the best of friends with them either, so what he did when he saw them, wasn't exactly weird, just surprising.
He went up to their small group that was standing and sitting around, tapped on Kaminari's shoulder, and pulled him into the biggest bear hug he had given anyone, other than his mother, ever.
"Whoa dude, you okay? Why're we suddenly hugging?" Kaminari questioned, quickly returning the hug he was receiving so as not to make Izuku think he hated it.
Izuku didn't say anything, he couldn't in fact, all he could do was hug his sort-of friend tighter, and hope and pray what he had seen was his head fucking with him because of what he had been through.
'I hate this world...so, so much.'
Hello all, and hello none, it is life itself. Jk, it's dad. Jkjk, it's Satan.
Oh you thought I was joking on that last one? Ahah, how laughable. Anyways chirren, I, for some reason, feel rather crackheadish rn, which is probably why a lot of this chapter seemed goofy or didn't make sense, so I throughly apologize for that.
I love you all, and that's all for tonight!
To have a good day you shall! 🤍❤️🧡💚
