Length: 6
I was bored in the library, so I made fanfiction ideas to DBSK song names. I'm very proud of this one, and I hope you enjoy it; it's the first of a series! P.S. Sorry that the story is so short! I promise that the others will be more exciting.
Chapter 1
It's All the Same
Junsu pushed the door to the clothes shop open and walked inside. It was late afternoon; about four. It was a nice day. It wasn't too hot nor too cold. It was perfect.
"Good afternoon, sir." The lady behind the counter greeted Junsu with a bright and cheery voice.
"Good afternoon ma'am." Junsu returned the greeting with a smile.
"Is there anything specific that you're looking for today?"
Junsu looked around. "Not sure. I think I'll be needing some help."
"Of course." The woman stepped out from behind the counter and walked over to Junsu. "What color looks best on you?"
"I don't know. You'd have to tell me that." Junsu said.
The shop owner laughed. Junsu smiled slightly.
"You don't know your color?" the woman asked, the wide smile still on her lips.
"No I don't. Everything looks basically the same to me. I can't see anything but tonal colors." Junsu replied.
"Oh..." The smile instantly faded from her face. "Sir, I'm so sorry. Please forgive me."
"It's alright." Junsu nodded. "Let's just get started, ne?"
The woman nodded. "Ne."
The two walked to the back of the store where the dressing rooms were and the owner began picking out clothes, while Junsu kept a light smile on his face the best that he could. The two hardly spoke when it wasn't necessary. Junsu paid for his clothes and left the store to head home.
.
.
.
Yoochun greeted Junsu with a kiss.
"Annyeong baby."
"Annyeong."
Yoochun wrapped his arms around his little dolphin.
"How was your trip to the store?" Yoochun asked.
"It was fine. Yoochun-ah, I want to put my clothes away and rest until dinner." Junsu answered.
"Are you feeling alright?" Yoochun began to worry about the health of his darling dolphin.
"I'm fine, just a little tired." Junsu smiled to reassure his lover.
Yoochun kissed Junsu on the cheek.
"Alright then. I'll come get you when dinner is ready, ne?"
"Ne."
Junsu walked into his bedroom and shut the door. He didn't bother with putting his clothes away; he just put the bag on the floor. Junsu quite literally collapsed onto his bed.
He was not fine. His trip to the store was not alright.
He always tried his best to pretend around the others. He tried to make everyone believe that he was happy. After what happened today he just couldn't take it anymore and he needed some time to himself. Junsu hugged a pillow to his chest, buried his face into it, and cried his broken little heart out.
He hated it. He hated being different. He hated that he couldn't see like everyone else could. He wanted to be able to see the world as it was meant to be. He wanted to be able to tell people what his favorite color was, or what color looked best on him, and he wanted to see the colors of his friends and family. But Junsu couldn't, and never would be able to, because he was born color-blind.
Chapter 2
Lies and the Suspicions That Go With Them
"Junsu, dinner is ready."
Junsu still had his face in his pillow, and he kept it there. He didn't want Yoochun to see his face.
"Su? What's wrong?" Yoochun asked in a gentle tone as he walked towards the bed.
Junsu still wouldn't move the pillow. Yoochun sat down on the left side of the bed in front of Junsu.
"Susu, are you feeling alright?" Yoochun lightly shook Junsu's shoulder.
Junsu decided that he couldn't hide from Yoochun anymore. He moved the pillow, revealing his red eyes and tear stained face.
"Junsu... What's wrong? What happened?" Yoochun asked.
"It's nothing Chunnie... I just got something in my eye and I couldn't get it out." Junsu replied, wiping his eyes.
"Junsu, you're such a terrible liar. Tell me what's really wrong."
"Hay fever."
Yoochun sighed and showed signs of a slight pout.
"Su, please tell me what's wrong. Are you feeling sick?" Yoochun was about to feel Junsu's head to check for a fever but Junsu grabbed his wrist and put it down.
"No Chunnie, I'm not sick. I'm fine. I got something in my eye and it hurt a lot. That's the truth."
Yoochun was not the least bit convinced. "Okay, then how come the bag of clothes you brought home is still on the floor? Why didn't you put them away? And what exactly did you get in your eye?"
"I don't know what it was, okay? When I walked in here something flew into my eye and it hurt so bad that I dropped the clothes and fell into bed."
Yoochun eyed Junsu with suspicion and worry.
"Su, please tell me what's wrong." Yoochun said. He began to feel heavy-hearted and he began doubting himself. How couldn't he, when Junsu couldn't trust him with his problems?
"Nothing's wrong Chunnie." Junsu replied, smiling and taking his lover's hand. "Let's go eat. I'm hungry."
Yoochun still wasn't convinced but he didn't want to push the issue further. "Ne." He held Junsu's hand and led him out to the dinner table.
The others paused when they saw Junsu.
"What happened?" Changmin asked, looking at Junsu and ignoring his food(for once).
"According to Su, nothing happened. So I guess that nothing happened." Yoochun answered, sitting down at the table.
Yoochun and Junsu began eating their food, but the other three didn't move. They stared at Junsu for a while, worry written deep in their faces.
"Junsu, why are your eyes red and puffy?" Yunho asked.
"At first he told me that it was because something got caught in his eye. I told him that he was a bad liar, so then he told me it was hay fever. Then he went back to his original excuse." Yoochun said.
Junsu ignored Yoochun's words and continued to eat. Jaejoong hadn't even touched his chopsticks yet.
"Junsu, it is clear that you were crying. There is nothing that can get caught in one eye that would make the other one red, puffy and watery as well. And it's not allergy season. Why were you crying? Are you feeling ill?"
"Jaejoong-ah, I'm fine. I am not feeling ill. I've just been tired lately. Please, stop worrying." Junsu went back to his dinner.
"But why were you crying?" Changmin looked sad. He worried for his hyung.
"Hm?" Junsu looked at his dongsaeng as if he hadn't heard him.
"Nothing..." Changmin muttered, going back to eating his dinner.
The rest of the meal was silent, and a heavy awkwardness hung in the air. Yoochun finished before anyone else, but he didn't want to leave Junsu's side, so he stayed seated. He moved his hand and placed it on Junsu's thigh to offer comfort. Junsu looked down at his thigh, then at Yoochun. Yoochun did not meet his lover's gaze for fear that he would cry upon seeing the red eyes on his face. It was soft, beautiful, and above all it was innocent. Junsu was the pure image of happiness; it was hard to walk into a room and see him crying. Yoochun gave a gentle squeeze in hopes of making Junsu feel better.
"Um, I think I'll go to bed now... I'm very tired. Good night everyone. Good night Chunnie." Junsu said, putting his chopsticks down and getting up from the table. He walked into his room and closed the door.
"Yoochun, are you okay?" Changmin asked.
"Well, no. Junsu isn't okay, so I'm not okay. Plus he won't tell me what's bothering him so much. So no, I'm not okay." Yoochun replied.
"I think he's catching a cold or something. His color was slightly off to me." Yunho said. "Yoochun, don't worry too much. He'll be okay. He has us, doesn't he?"
Yoochun, although looking at his lap, nodded. The other three smiled.
"You look like a kid, Yoochun. So cute." Yoochun smiled slightly at Jaejoong's statement. "There we go~! That's what I was looking for. Now help me with the dishes."
Yoochun walked over to the sink, grabbed a soapy sponge, and began scrubbing the food residue off of the plates. He couldn't stop thinking of Junsu. He might be getting sick, or he might be sad. They couldn't tell for sure. Yoochun was determined to make him feel better though.
"I'm going to sleep with Junsu tonight." Yoochun said, setting the dishes on the counter.
"Alright. Chalja!" Yunho smiled at Yoochun.
"Chalja~."
Yoochun quietly walked into Junsu's room, silently closing the door behind him. Junsu was fast asleep cuddling his dolphin teddy, but he had no blanket covering him. Yoochun grabbed a blanket from the closet, climbed into the bed and covered the both of them. He wrapped his arms around Junsu's small waist and rested his face against the back of Junsu's neck.
'Junsu, I love you... Please, whatever is bothering you, have the courage to tell me... I'll help you.'
Yoochun closed his eyes and soon fell asleep, Junsu's body close to his.
Chapter 3
Rainy Heart
~*FLASHBACK*~
"Yoochunnie... You slept with me?"
"Ne, majayo."
"Wae?"
"Because I was worried about you. You seemed upset yesterday, so I just wanted to make you feel better."
"Yoochun, I told you that nothing was wrong."
"So? I wanted to fall asleep with you in my arms. Is that so bad?"
"Aniyo... Saranghae Yoochunnie."
"Saranghae Susu."
~*FLASHBACK OVER*~
"Junsu, are you sure that you'll be alright? I really think that I should stay here and watch over you."
"Yoochun, I'll be fine. I really just want to try to sleep some more. Go to the store with the others."
Yoochun pouted. He was very worried about his little baby Su. He had woken up in the middle of the night screaming from a nightmare, and not long after that he started to cry. Yoochun tried to calm him down, and even the other three ended up coming into the room to help.
"I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I just left you here to go to the store with everyone else. I want to stay here and cuddle you so I know that you are okay." Yoochun said.
"I really just want to go back to sleep, Chunnie. I'm tired. Go out to the store and get me something sweet to eat, okay?" Junsu replied, grinning like the five-year-old that he was.
"Well, I guess that you do need your sleep. I'll make sure to buy you a sweet cake, okay?"
"Only if we can share it."
Yoochun smiled. "Ne." He ruffled Junsu's hair before kissing him.
"I'll try making the trip to the store as short as possible so I can run home to you. I promise, okay?"
"Okay Chunnie, I think I get the point now! Go to the store already!"
"Whaaaat? You want to get rid of me so much?"
"No, but we both know that you are stalling. I'll be fine. All I'm doing is sleeping. What do you think will happen? A bird will somehow fly in through the closed window and find some way to rape me?"
Yoochun sighed dramatically. "I worry about these things, Su!"
Junsu laughed, which made Yoochun smile.
"Alright, I'll go now. Sleep well, Su~!" Yoochun kissed Junsu's forehead.
Junsu smiled and waved as Yoochun walked out of the room. Junsu shut his eyes and fell into a light sleep. It only lasted for about an hour, and when he woke up, Yoochun was smiling down at him.
"I came back, Su~."
"I knew you would. So how was the trip?"
"It was great! Changmin got excited and messed up some displays, and we got in trouble. It was really funny! The store manager thought that Changmin was mentally retarded! Then Changmin started crying, which made the manager believe his theory even more! We ended up getting 50% off of our food."
Junsu's mouth was open. "That's TERRIBLE!"
"Maybe so, but it was the funniest thing I've seen in a LOOOONG time!"
Junsu shook his head while Yoochun laughed.
"So is my dolphin ready for feeding?" Yoochun asked, softly kissing Junsu's lips.
"Not yet Chunnie. I'm still tired. Can I go back to sleep?" Junsu replied.
"Of course you can. Should I stay here with you?"
"No no; go and spend time with everyone else. I'll be fine. Like I said before, all I'll be doing is sleeping. Nothing will happen."
Yoochun smiled at his love. "Sleep well Junsu~. I'll wake you up later for some food, okay?"
Junsu nodded and put his head down on his pillow. Yoochun left the room and helped Jaejoong with the groceries.
"I wish it hadn't started to rain before we left. I'm soaked!" Jaejoong said.
"I know! I'm so wet and cold!" Yoochun agreed.
"Hyung, where's the milk? And the bread, the noodles, and about ten other things that we forgot..." Yunho asked.
"Aigoo... I don't wanna go back out in this rain..." Jaejoong pouted slightly.
"Neither do I. Now let's go." Yoochun said, grabbing Jaejoong's arm and pulling him to the door.
Changmin and Yunho grabbed some umbrellas and followed their brothers.
Back in his room, Junsu breathed a sigh of relief. He sat up and looked out the window. It was raining. Junsu liked rain. Its coolness felt calming against his skin, and the sound of it falling relaxed his mind. Right now, Junsu needed rain. He said a silent thanks to God before getting out of bed and heading for the living room. He grabbed his coat and left the apartment.
Junsu walked towards the hiking trail that led through the forest. He really didn't understand why rain made so many people depressed. It was so relaxing... The pain in Junsu's heart seemed to wash away; it dulled somewhat. He took in the light scent of the wet ground and was calmed even more. Junsu eventually found a nice big rock to sit down on, so he rested on it. Slowly his eyelids became heavy, and soon Junsu drifted into a peaceful sleep.

"I can't believe it!"
"I know! We got this stuff for free! This is why we love you, Changmin."
Changmin pouted but it didn't last long. He couldn't help smiling!
"I'll start preparing lunch." Jaejoong announced.
"I'll go check on Junsu. He's very tired today." Yoochun said.
"He should be, after that nightmare of his." Jaejoong replied.
"Ne."
Yoochun walked towards Junsu's bedroom, and when he opened the door, he screamed in fear.
"Yoochun!?"
Yoochun ran into the living room. "Junsu's gone!"
The three were instantly struck with fear. Yoochun started to run to the front door, but Yunho grabbed his arm.
"Yoochun, calm down. We have to think of where he could be. We can't just run around everywhere; we'll never find him that way." Yunho said.
"Junsu likes rain."
They looked at Changmin.
"Huh?" Jaejoong tilted his head.
"Junsu likes it when it rains, and it's raining. He also likes to walk along that hiking trail through the forest. We should look there first." Changmin said.
Yoochun was the first one out the door, not even grabbing his coat or umbrella. The others followed, but they took some time to grab the necessities.
"There he is!" Changmin exclaimed.
They ran over to the rock which Junsu had fallen off of. His face was buried in the wet grass.
"Aigoo!" Yoochun carefully flipped Junsu over and freaked out. "Junsu!!! JUNSU!!!!"
"Hyung, I think he's just sleeping. Look at his stomach; it's going up and down. He's breathing."
Yoochun sighed in relief. He put his arms under Junsu and picked him up bridal style.
"Let's get him home. He's been out here for too long." Jaejoong said.
The four scurried back to their apartment, dried Junsu off, dressed him, and put him in bed.

"Mmm..."
Yoochun's eyes widened slightly. "Junsu?"
Junsu opened his eyes but immediately shielded them from the bright light of the desk lamp.
"How are you feeling, Su?" Yoochun asked.
"Sick... What happened..?" said Junsu, slowly putting his arm down.
"You went out in the rain while we went back to the store, and you fell asleep." Yoochun explained.
"I fell asleep?"
"Ne." Changmin said. He was standing in the corner that was to Junsu's right.
"Oh... I didn't even realize..."
"Well, whether you realized it or not, you fell asleep in the rain and now you have a fever." said Jaejoong, sitting on the end of the bed.
"Junsu, what in the world could have possibly possessed you to walk out into the rain and fall asleep?" asked Yunho. He was standing behind Yoochun who was sitting by Junsu's bedside(on Junsu's left).
"Dagchyeo... Leave me alone..."
Junsu turned away from his two hyungs.
"Junsu, say something!" Yunho exclaimed, grabbing Junsu's shoulder. He backed off when Junsu flinched and sank away from his touch.
"Please... Just leave me alone..."
They were worried at how sad Junsu's tone was. They wanted to know what was wrong. They wanted to know why Junsu was so upset. But they knew that Junsu wasn't going to say anything, so they decided to leave the room like he had requested. The only one that stayed behind was Yoochun.
"Do you want me to leave too?"
Junsu shook his head. "No."
Yoochun could tell by his voice that Junsu was starting to cry.
"Junsu, what's wrong? What hurts?" Yoochun asked.
"My stomach..." Junsu said. He had to lie to Yoochun. He couldn't tell him the real reason for his tears. "It really hurts... Can you rub it for me?"
"Of course, Su." Yoochun stood up and walked over to the other side of the bed. He sat down next to his baby Su. "Junsu, you know that I love you, right?"
Junsu nodded. Yoochun placed his hands on Junsu's tummy. Junsu sighed in relief, for Yoochun's hands felt nice and cold against his burning hot skin.
"You can talk to me about anything. I'll help you, whatever it is. Will you please tell me?" Yoochun said, slowly rubbing Junsu's stomach.
Junsu's tears leaked out slowly and his head began to feel clouded.
"It's nothing that anyone can fix. It's nothing that can be made better. So there is no point in talking about it."
Yoochun stared at Junsu, disbelief and shock in his eyes.
"Junsu... How could you say that? You have me, Yunho, Jaejoong and Changmin. We all love you. Whatever your problem is, we can help you. Tell me what's wrong."
"Jebal..." Junsu's voice was a whimper. His tears flowed steadier now. "Don't make me talk about it..."
Yoochun felt a strong pain in his heart. Junsu was in pain and it seemed that no one could help him. Yoochun took his hands off of Junsu and lied down on the bed. He held Junsu close in his arms.
"Junsu, there isn't anything that we can't or won't do for you. We want to see you smile all the time. It kills us to see you like this. We would go to the ends of the earth, the heavens, and the pits of hells for you. Don't be so afraid to tell us anything, no matter what it is." Yoochun murmured into Junsu's ear, holding him close to his chest, stroking the back of his head.
Junsu sobbed quietly into Yoochun's chest and Yoochun didn't move. The other three watched sadly from the door.
Chapter 4
Family Meeting
"What should we do?" asked Jaejoong.
"I don't know, hyung..." Changmin said with a pout.
"He's not gonna tell us anything. Maybe he'll talk to his mom?" Yunho suggested.
"Do you really think so?" Jaejoong tilted his head to the side.
"It's worth a shot. It would be better to try that and watch it fail than to see Junsu lock himself in the bathroom again."
Changmin sighed. "I've never heard him cry like that..."
"Exactly. That's why we have to figure something out." Yunho replied.
Yoochun walked out of Junsu's room looking broken-hearted. He sat down in a chair.
"He fell asleep again after crying for a while..." Yoochun said with a sigh.
"Poor little Su... I wish I could hug his troubles away..." Jaejoong said.
"Let's call his mom and see if he'll talk to her." Yunho said.
"It's worth a shot." Yoochun replied.
Yoochun took out his phone and dialed Mrs. Kim's number. He talked to her for a few minutes before putting his phone back in his pocket.
"She'll be here in two hours. I'm gonna go stay with Junsu until she gets here."

"Junsu, come out here please!"
Junsu slowly crept from his room, and was surprised to see his mother sitting in the living room.
"O-mma...?"
"Hi honey~." Mrs. Kim waved to her son.
"Come over here and sit down Junsu." Yunho said, motioning to the couch in front of Mrs. Kim.
Junsu cautiously walked over and sat down.
"Why is my mother here?" he asked.
"They called me because they think you'll talk to me." Mrs. Kim answered.
Junsu looked straight at his mother. "Just because you're here doesn't mean I'll say anything."
"Come on, Su. Please tell us what's wrong." Yoochun said, clasping his hands together.
Mrs. Kim frowned. Realization shined in her eyes.
"I think I know what's wrong..." she said.
Everyone looked at her for an answer while Junsu avoided eye contact altogether.
"Well, you all know about his vision. When Junsu was little, he would get very upset about it and he would-"
"DAGCHYEO!"
Dead silence followed Junsu's extremely loud shout. Junsu death-glared his mother before he stormed out of the apartment, slamming the door as hard as he could. They all wanted to go after him, but they also wanted to know the reason why he was so upset.
"When Junsu was little, he would get very upset about not being able to see colors. He would go into fits of tears and he wouldn't want to do anything. He wouldn't play with Junho or any other children. He would lock himself in his room or the bathroom, and he would just cry for hours. Junsu never wanted to talk about it though. There was nothing we could do, and he knew that. It was awful to have to see him suffer like that. I guess he's going through that again..."
The four men sighed and felt like shedding tears. It should have been obvious to them, but they never saw it coming... They felt awful. They weren't able to help him... But at that moment, Yoochun thought of something. He ran out of the apartment, the others not far behind, including Mrs. Kim.
Chapter 5
Words to Calm a Heart
Junsu started towards his favorite path; the one that led through the forest. Tears pounded at his eyes, begging to fall, but Junsu fought to keep them back. There wasn't a doubt in his mind that his mother had told everyone of his past. How could she... What was the point in telling them? What, just so they could be depressed right along side him? To make them suffer too? What was the point in it all...?
"Junsu!"
Junsu turned around, dreading what was to come. Yoochun was going to question him. He was going to tell him that there was no reason to be upset. He wouldn't understand...
Yoochun pulled Junsu into his arms and hugged him close to his chest. Junsu was stunned silent.
"Junsu, we understand. I would be the same way if I was in your shoes. I know that it's very sad to not see how we see, but that doesn't mean you have nothing. You have me. You'll always have me. You have my love, and you'll always have my love. You have the love of Jung Yunho, Kim Jaejoong and Shim Changmin as well, along with your mother and your brother Junho. We all love you no matter what you see or don't see. You know, just because a doctor tells you that you will never be able to see colors doesn't make it true. Someday you might see everything. You might not see anything different than how you see it now. But either way we're here for you, and we'll do everything we can to make you happy. If I could, I would make myself color-blind so I can be just like you. I love you Junsu."
The tears rolled silently by quickly down Junsu's cheeks. He balled the fabric of Yoochun's shirt up in his fists. He couldn't believe the words that he had heard just now...
"If... If you want me to, I'll donate my eyes to you so that you can finally see the world, and I'll take your eyes so that I know what you've been through. Do you know why I'd do that? Because I love you, Junsu. I will go to the hospital today and you can have my eyes by tonight. I'll do anything just as long as it makes you happy."
Junsu sobbed out loud against Yoochun's warm chest. Yoochun rested his chin on Junsu's head.
"Yoochun... How could you love someone as selfish as me...?" Junsu asked as he cried.
"How could you ever call yourself selfish? You are anything but selfish." Yoochun said.
"No I'm not... I'm very selfish, Chunnie! I'm so upset about being color-blind, but I'm not at all grateful for the face that at least I can see! There are many people in the world that would kill just to be able to see... I'm being so selfish..."
"Su, you are not selfish. It's perfectly normal to be so upset. Either way, selfish or not, I still love you. I always will."
Junsu pulled away and looked at Yoochun. Yoochun's smile was warm and genuinely caring. It was the most beautiful smile that Junsu had ever seen. But this perfect moment didn't end on a happy note. Suddenly a line started to appear in his vision that was unexplainable. It looked completely different from everything else. A second line started to appear, and just as Junsu was going to ask Yoochun what he was seeing, his vision suddenly went black and his body fell to the ground as he lost consciousness.
Chapter 6
Purple Line
"We're running some tests on him now. We should be done in a few hours."
Junsu was lying in a hospital bed, an IV stuck in his arm, a heart monitor attached to his chest, and a white hospital gown on his body. Mrs. Park sat right at his bedside along with Yoochun, Yunho, Jaejoong and Changmin. They were all worried to death the instant Junsu hit the ground.
"What do you think is wrong with him?" Changmin asked.
"I have no idea... This wait is agonizing..." Jaejoong replied.
Yoochun's eyes were moist with tears and his heart was in pain. He rested his head on his hands and sent a silent prayer to God.
'Please Lord... Let Junsu be okay... Please!'
Mrs. Kim looked over at Yoochun. "Yoochun..? Are you alright?"
Yoochun shook his head. His eyes were closed now so that his tears would not show.
"Yoochun, Junsu will be okay. Don't worry so much. What if he wakes up and sees you like this? He won't be happy." Yunho said.
Yoochun didn't show a reaction. Jaejoong put his arm around Yoochun's shoulders to offer some comfort. Yoochun leaned close to Jaejoong and cried silently. Suddenly Mrs. Kim felt a movement in her hands. Junsu's hand, which she was holding, had twitched. She gasped in surprise, causing the others to look at Junsu. His eyes began to open very slowly and everyone held their breath as they waited for him to speak.
Junsu's vision was blurry at first and it took a moment for it to clear up. He looked around, and realized that he was in the hospital.
"Why am I in the hospital...?" Junsu asked in a weak voice.
"You fell unconscious, honey." Mrs. Kim said.
Junsu looked around until he found Yoochun.
"Yoochun..." Junsu smiled slightly, but after a few seconds, the smile was replaced with shock and confusion.
"Junsu? Junsu, what's wrong?" Yoochun asked.
"Yoochun... Your shirt..." Junsu spoke with astonishment.
Yoochun looked at his shirt and then back at Junsu.
"What about it?"
"I can see it... It's different... It's different from everything else..."
Everyone in the room felt as if their heart had stopped beating and they held their breath.
"What did you just say...?" Yoochun asked in a voice that was almost a whisper.
"I can see the color of your shirt..." Junsu replied, tears filling his eyes.
Yoochun sat completely still for a moment before he ran out of the room. He looked to the left and saw only nurses. He looked to the right, and at the very end of the hallway, he saw Junsu's doctor. Yoochun ran as fast as he could and soon reached the doctor.
"Whoa! Why did you try to get to me so fast? Is something wrong with Junsu?"
Yoochun took a few seconds to catch his breath.
"Junsu can see the color of my shirt..."
The doctor smiled. "He most certainly can. In some rare cases of color-blind people, when something life changing happens, it can cause a reaction in the brain and the sight of a color is revealed. The life changing thing can be either emotional or physical. In this case, obviously it was emotional. If enough events happen, it is possible for Junsu to be able to see every color. However, it would not be smart to force these life changing things to happen. Let them occur naturally. There isn't really anything wrong with Junsu, so you are free to take him home."
Yoochun pulled the doctor into a tight hug and he had tears in his eyes.
"Thank you so much!"
The doctor smiled and returned the hug. "You're welcome."
Yoochun sort of jogged back to the room where everyone was waiting.
"Yoochun..?" Junsu looked scared and confused.
Yoochun walked towards Junsu's bed and stood right next to him.
"Junsu... The color of my shirt is called purple... You can see purple now..." Yoochun said, taking Junsu's hand and crying openly.
"Yoochun..." Junsu began to cry openly as well.
Finally Yoochun couldn't stand it anymore and he grabbed Junsu for a tight hug. Mrs. Kim covered her face with her hand and cried. Jaejoong and Changmin held each other and cried. Yunho covered his eyes with his arm and cried. They did not cry in sadness, but in joy.
Junsu, who was thought to be color-blind forever, could now see purple, and would see the other colors one at a time.
Chapter 7
Epilogue
Yoochun was lying in his bed, Junsu close by, snuggling into his side.
"Junsu..."
"Hm?"
"I'm so happy for you, baby."
Junsu smiled. "I never thought that anything like this would happen."
"Well, you're very strange. You're changing the world every day." Yoochun turned his head and smiled at Junsu. "So how come you didn't tell us anything?"
"What would have been the point?"
Yoochun frowned.
"We could have put you on a list to wait for a donation." he said.
"I would've been on that list forever. No one wants to give up the ability to see colors. I didn't want to make you all suffer with me." Junsu explained.
Yoochun hugged his delicate soulmate.
"Junsu, there's a reason why people have friends and family. We're here to suffer with you and to be happy with you. We love you, and there isn't anything you could tell us that would change that. When will you finally understand that?"
"Maybe in one hundred years?"
The two shared a good laugh. Junsu buried his face into Yoochun's side as if he were a child. Yoochun didn't protest.
"So how long have you been upset about this?" Yoochun asked.
"Ever since I was little, so, all of my life. The feelings never stopped or went away. I just didn't want to keep worrying mom and Junho, so I pretended like everything was fine and that I was happy. I didn't let them know that I was sad almost all of the time." Junsu answered.
"Junsu... How could you not tell us this before?"
"I already told you. I didn't want to make you all suffer. Plus I didn't want a doctor telling me that I needed to be medicated. I'm not a weirdo."
"Well, yes, you are. You ARE a weirdo. But I understand. Still, you should have told us."
"Maybe I should have. But I didn't want to, so I didn't. What's past is past. We can't change what already happened."
Yoochun hugged Junsu again.
"You're right. We can't change what already happened. But we can change what's going to happen. We can make you happy and we can help you forget about your sadness. I want to see you truly happy, Su. I love you and it hurts me twice as much as it hurts you when I see you cry or if I see you sad. I'd do anything for you. I'm always here for you, no matter what happens."
Junsu put his head on Yoochun's chest.
"Thank you, Chunnie... I love you..."
