Kaminari had responded to Bakugo's message, but that was a while ago. He spent more time walking around before heading back. The only reason he decided to go back quicker than he wanted was because he didn't want the chocolate to melt.

He'd also texted the class group chat that there was stuff to make s'mores, so that they should all make some the next day. Everyone agreed, and he smiled, glad that people liked his idea.

None of his friends were in the common area, so the others probably weren't back yet. Unless they were and just went to their rooms already.

He sighs heavily as he puts the chocolates in the fridge. All the other stuff for tomorrow stay in the plastic bag in the pantry. He keeps the chips and drinks he got for his friends and takes them upstairs to his room.

There, he sets the stuff down in between his bed and desk, opting to put them away later before grabbing the packet of lighters that he'd bought.

The box he has in his restroom can't hold more than five lighters, so he'll have to hide the rest somewhere else. 

As soon as he puts them away, finding another place for the ones he won't use yet, he decides that he should just take it easy. He'd give himself tonight off from studying and working out by doing it tomorrow before the s'mores with the class.

He kind of feels down anyway so it's not like he'd be able to focus on studying or working out correctly. He could hurt himself if he blanks out while carrying weights.

A knock on his door interrupts him from scrolling through social media. 

He looks at the time and notices that it's four in the morning. Oops. 

He gets up, going to his door and unlocking it before opening it to reveal Mina. He had known it wasn't Bakugo because Bakugo still knocks pretty loud at night. It's obviously quieter, but it's still obvious he could knock lighter.

"Why are you still awake?" He asks. It's four am.

"I should ask you the same thing."

He sighs in defeat and lets her in. 

She smiles as she walks happily over to his bed and plopping down. She looks over at him and he remembers the chips and drinks. 

He walks over to his closet and takes out the bag of chips that were just for her and her drink which he kept in his small mini fridge. 

He hands them to her and she smiles widely, looking up at him. "Thank you!"

It's actually the least he could do for being so weird this week. He didn't even cry or have a breakdown after what happened with his dad this time. It's not like he breaks down every time, but it's weird when nothing happens. He feels gross for not having a reaction. Gross for just living like it's normal. 

"Why'd you come to my dorm?" 

"Welllll, we came back from the mall and Bakugo told us not to bother you, but I just like being around you so I decided that ten hours was enough time to not bother you. I was just lucky you were awake."

She smiles happily as she opens up her strawberry drink.

He loves her. Loves them all and he can't imagine how bad he'd be doing if it wasn't for them.

"So, why are you awake this late?" She asks just before taking a sip of her drink. Smiling happily at the taste, she looks up.

"Can't sleep unless I'm dying to, and I didn't even realize the time until you knocked."

She hums in acknowledgment. 

"You?" He asks. 

"Wanted to pull an all-nighter with Sero and Kirishima but those two wimps passed out at 12," she laughs. "Decided to do it on my own."

He laughs. "Twelve?"

She nods, laughing. "Guess they were extra tired or something."

There's barely any time for silence before Mina speaks up again.

"Hey, so Bakugo won't tell us anything cause he says it's not his to share, but what's up with you?"

Kaminari looks over at Mina with tired eyes. 

"I'm not talking about it. I haven't even told him everything. I just can't, so please stop asking." He was just too tired to lie. 

She nods, not taking anything to heart. Just understanding. "Sorry, I know it's not my business and I'm sure you've had enough of people asking what's wrong. Just take it easy, Kami. You're my best friend. All of you idiots are, so take care of yourself."

He rubs his face with his hands tiredly. "I'm sorry too. For snapping and being all weird and stuff. The chips and drink were supposed to be the apology, but I should also just say I'm sorry."

She punches his shoulder lightly and he uncovers his face.

"Don't sweat it. Thanks for the snacks, though. Are we really having s'mores tomorrow?"

He nods happily.

They just talk after that before falling asleep, Mina obviously not making it through her all-nighter.

Both of them are awoken by knocks on his door. 

Jesus, it's like someone is always doing that and it's usually Bakugo, but these knocks are obviously not from said angry blond. 

"Yo, Kaminari, have you seen Mina?" Sero calls through the door. 

The usually hyper blond looks over to Mina who's already sitting up. Her hair is a mess and she's got drool on the side of her mouth. Some is dry, some is obviously not. She still looks asleep. 

He can't help but laugh slightly, still caught while he's not in a good mood, and looks over at the time. He huffs and feels an oncoming headache as Sero knocks again. "Dude, come on. She wasn't in her room a-"

Kaminari opens the door, obviously annoyed. He doesn't look that great. Hair sticking up everywhere, shirt even more wrinkled than Recovery Girl, and yawning like there's no tomorrow. 

"She's in here," he grumbles, pushing the door to open wider so that Sero can walk in. 

He sighs in relief, putting a hand over his chest. 

"Thought she went missing. Had me worried. I should probably tell the other two that she's here. Why is she here, though?"

"She came to see me a few hours ago. Said she missed me and that Bakugo barred you guys from bothering me. Have to thank him for that I guess," Kaminari admits. 

Sero nods in acknowledgement and they both look over at Mina who fell asleep in a sitting position. "What time did she come see you?" Sero asks, looking at both of them with concern. 

Kaminari is barely able to keep his eyes open and the shrug he went for, failed. "I- uhhhh- at like four."

Sero laughs. "Oops. Sorry dude. Did she keep you up for that all-nighter she wanted to do?"

The other just slowly, and very tiredly, get on the bed, hiding himself under the covers as sleep calls to him. "No, I was already up. Can't sleep if I'm not dead tired, so, yeah."

He hears Sero laugh from somewhere outside the blanket he buried himself in. "Alright, I'll let you both sleep but I'm coming back in two hours to wake you up. Bakugo will kill you if you're still asleep past noon," Sero warns.

Kaminari grunts, already drifting off into sleep again, so he doesn't really pay any mind to the boy who's leaving. He just wants to go back to sleep. 

Mmmm. Sleep.

Exactly two hours later, Sero knocks on the blond's door. "Two hours are up. Don't make me get Bakugo."

Again, both of them shoot up, Mina ended up laying down again between the two hours. Bakugo would probably start off with drenching them in cold water saying 'not to be lazy even on the weekends'.

Still trapped in the haze of sleep, Kaminari finds it in himself to shout back at Sero. "We're up!"

There's a muffles laugh and then retreating footsteps. 

Both Mina and Kaminari turn to each other with a shared look. They silently agree and go to lie back down before the footsteps coming back with more knocks. 

"Don't you guys dare go back to sleep." 

"Damn," they say in unison. 

Mina folds the borrowed blanket and Kaminari makes his own bed. 

"So much for your all-nighter," Kaminari teases. 

Mina scoffs, obviously offended. 

"Listen," she starts, but there's an awfully long pause as she comes up with an excuse. "Alright, I got nothing.

They both laugh as she grabs her stuff. "Are you leaving?" Kaminari asks. 

She nods, yawning. "I gotta fix myself up. Do you not see my hair?" She points dramatically at it and Kaminari presses his lips together, humored. 

"Hm, what's wrong with it?" The pink strands are frizzy and honestly just a mess. 

Mina deadpans and gives him an amused look. He just smiles cheekily at her. They keep the stare and then Mina gets a determined look in her eye. Kaminari realizes and looks at her with just as much determination. 

"I'm gonna win."

"Sure, Sparky."

It's only a matter of time before they both feel the sting in their eyes, but both are too stubborn to give up. 

Kaminari suddenly feels like laughing and smiles. Mina can't help but smile back as both of them tear up. 

It's not until they're both struggling against the burn as their eyes threaten to close that they both give in, laughing as tears run down their faces. Kaminari won.

"That was the dumbest idea ever. My eyes," Mina wails.

Kaminari just laughs, also rubbing his eyes in pain. "That's just cause you lost."

She scoffs, looking at him with a glare. "Whatever, you cheated."

The blond gasps, "How would I cheat in a staring contest. We're literally staring at each other until we blink."

Mina struggles to come up with an answer and Kaminari takes that as a victory.

"Cause I'm on my period," Mina blurts.

There's a moment of silence.

The blond bursts out laughing, unable to comprehend how that would make sense.

"Man, I don't know, I just said what came to mind and for some reason," she starts, obviously embarrassed at the lame excuse, "I thought that would be good?"

"No, no, you've got a point," Kaminari says sarcastically.

The other pouts, crossing her arms over her chest. "Whatever, I lied, too. It doesn't start till Monday," she admits.

That makes Kaminari laugh even harder. Making up a lame excuse only for it to be a lie was the saddest thing Mina has ever done. Especially since it was against him of all people. "Dude," he wheezes. 

As she watches with a smile, Mina can't help but think that she really likes seeing Kaminari like this. Sure, he's always smiling and joking with them, but it's not often that she gets to see him genuinely laugh, and honestly, she hasn't seen him this comfortable in the last two weeks. She misses it so much. It brings her pain knowing that one of her closest friends is going through a lot and won't open up to anyone.

Pains her to see someone suffering right in front of her and knowing she can't do anything. Not without his permission which he definitely won't give. Bakugo knows something. She knows he knows more than he lets on, and she really wants to pry it out of him.

Even so, she knows it's big. Big enough for Bakugo to be worried so openly. It's plain as day. When Bakugo suddenly stopped and grimaced as they barely made it out of the gates, she knew it had something to do with Kaminari. He'd had the same look every time he looked at Kaminari when he wasn't looking. Saw the sadness he carried for their hyper friend.

She's glad she could bring this out of him. Proud even.

She apparently can't hide her emotions because Kaminari stops laughing suddenly and gets this guilty look on his face before schooling it back to a smile. Not as genuine. Not even close.

"What's wrong, Mina?" 

She shakes her head, suddenly finding she can't speak. Well, she can, but she'd probably start crying as soon as she says anything. 

"Are you sad because of me?" Kaminari asks, suddenly sounding extremely sorry.

His smile completely disappeared, all traces of laughter and fun gone as his expression physically pains Mina. 

God, I'm so fucked up, he thinks to himself. 

Mina is sad because of him. He doesn't know what he did in that moment to make her so upset. He was just laughing.

The sudden need to apologize washes over him and he regrets everything he's ever done in his whole life ever. "Listen I'm really really sorry about earlier this week. I was just stressed out about school you know," he half lies. 

Tears started streaming down Mina's face at one point, and he doesn't know what to do, so he sucks it up and rushes over to hug her. 

Once she finds out about his dad, she'll be so disgusted he ever touched her. 

Right now though, she hugs him back so tightly it almost hurts. Almost. It's uncomfortable. So uncomfortable, he feels like kicking her out and pushing everyone in class away. He won't do that, though. Won't hurt them like that. He couldn't. He'd kill himself before that. 

"Sorry," she finally whispers, face buried into his chest, head tucked under his chin. 

She takes a deep breath and pulls back, wiping her eyes. 

She breathes out a laugh. "I probably look even worse than before." He shakes his head, not really paying attention to what she's saying as he looks her over, wanting to give her all of his money and valuable belongings just for making her sad. 

"I'm sorry I made you sad."

Mina just looks at him, dumbfounded.

"Kami, you don't have to apologize for anything. I was just worried about you, okay? Don't say sorry. You make it seem like you're so much trouble," she says, "you're not."

The words hit Kaminari harder than they should've, feeling them in his soul, but he doesn't say anything. 

They both stand there in silence which makes Kaminari want to run away. Jeez, he needs to get a grip. 

After what seems like a lifetime, Mina finally says something. "I should get going."

The blond hates those words. Maybe she won't ever want to come back. She's probably going to tell the others what a wreck he is. 

Fucking fuck they're not like that. They would never, but he can't help but think about it in the back of his mind as he watches her grab her things and leave his room without another word.

He spends as much of his time alone in his room as he can. Anything to stay away from his friends. Maybe Mina did tell them how bad he was doing. Obviously not in a bad way, but they could. It would be so easy for them to pretend to be his friends. 

So easy for them to ditch him and leave him. 

No. 

Why would they?

He's amazing and is fun to be around, and he's got snacks for them. 

He takes a deep breath and smiles. He smiles because everything is okay. Everything is so chill. He's so chill.

He knocks on Sero's door, knowing that they'd be there. He had gotten a text from them after all, so it wasn't like they were hanging out without telling him. 

It only takes a few seconds for the door to open. Bakugo is there, looking at Kaminari with a frown. "Finally decided to show up?"

He nods, holding out the bag of snacks he'd bought. He hadn't gotten anything for himself. Didn't want anything.

Bakugo silently takes the bag and lets him in, closing the door behind the both of them. The others were in a circle talking as Kaminari sits down with them in the circle. "Whatcha talking about guys?" Kaminari smiles, letting a small laugh slip out. 

Mina eyes him weirdly along with Bakugo, but the other two smile brightly at him and start rambling about these weird fruit gummies that Sero hates, but Kirishima loves. Apparently they were trying to break a tie because Mina loved them too and Bakugo also hated them. It was two to two and Kaminari would be the tie breaker. 

He honestly hated the gummies. They were not good at all and always came with very little. They didn't do anything to satisfy snack cravings. 

"Sorry Kiri, but they are really nasty," he laughs. 

Said red head falls over dramatically onto Mina who just scoffs at Kaminari. "They are not," she argues. 

"Sorry, but majority rules," Sero says smugly, just glad he won. 

"Here, dumbasses, this idiot over here bought us some shit," Bakugo says, tossing the bags of snacks over at Kirishima and Sero. 

Having already grabbed his things from the bags, Bakugo sits down next to the blond, humming a small thanks to him.

"Man, I left my snacks in my room," Mina complains. 

Sero and Kirishima laugh at her as they tear open their chip bags.

"I can go get it with you," Kaminari immediately offers.

She looks over at him and nods silently. Kaminari knows she's going to say something, but he just wants to apologize again. He knows he shouldn't let his stuff make him weird towards his friends.

Mina gets up and they both go to leave the room, the other noticing the tense mood Kaminari was suddenly engulfed in. He feels as if though he's making everyone suffer with him and he needs to change that immediately. He needs to make sure he's the only one who feels what he's feeling. Unless it's happiness or something good. Obviously.

They walk silently to Mina's dorm. "Thanks for coming with me," she says.

"It's no problem. It's the least I can do, you know? Just for earlier today. And this week," he says.

She goes to say something, but he immediately stops her. "No. Don't say anything. I was weird this week. Let me apologize."

She just stays quiet, obviously not happy with what he said. She let's him have it though.
