Night Time: Hour iii. pt. iii. - C4 Yourself

-_-_-

So far, Delirious hated this feeling.

He didn't care who was currently behind him, he just wanted to disappear and never come back. Too bad that was and could never be an option. He felt whoever was behind him push him forward, whispering, "Pretend I'm not here and help them get the money, got it?"

Delirious wished he had the power to object, but taking one look behind him was enough to nearly make him faint. Behind the man with the darker monkey mask stood a variety of people -- including Vanoss himself. The only thing that defined him was the goddamned red jacket along with his angry-looking owl mask. Delirious gulped as he slowly re-entered the room without a word. Luckily, he still had his mask intact so no one else could see his panic-stricken face. Lui looked over at him, "Hey Delirious, where were you?"

"I was checking the perimeter before coming here. Who knows what other groups have the same plan as us." The irony in that sentence nearly made Delirious puke.

"Good thinking, clown." Lui praised. "Now come join us before everyone starts suspecting you."

Feeling discouraged, Delirious followed Lui to where the others were at. The guilt was slowly getting to him, and he had a feeling he wouldn't be able to contain it for much longer. But nonetheless, he kept it to himself, since his life depended on it. He watched silently as Mini drilled into the lock slowly but surely -- due to the confident look on his face. Delirious cleared his throat, "So, how much longer?"

"Calm your tits clown, I'm halfway there." Mini growled, frustrated.

"Sorry, I was just. . . Impatient, that's all." Delirious apologized.

"We all are." Wildcat said as he glared over at the nervous clown. "Now let the guy work in peace.

Delirious pressed his red lips into a thin line as he watched in silence. He felt as if life sneered at him in amusement, waiting patiently to see what happened next, and Delirious hated it for this. Not only was he scared half to death, but the pressure was too overwhelming. Feeling helpless, Delirious paced the room quietly -- not wanting to look more suspicious than he already was. Sadly, Brock caught on, due to the puzzled look on his face as he watched him. Not wanting to scare anyone, Brock walked up to Delirious and asked in a low voice, "Hey, are you. . . Okay?"

Delirious looked at him, "Yeah. . . Yeah, I am. Don't worry about me, Brock."

Brock nodded and added, "By the way, I don't want to seem rude but, just call me Moo."

"Moo. . ." Delirious repeated as he savored the new nickname with his tongue. "Alright Moo. . . Thanks for asking if. . . You know. . . If I was okay."

"No problem." Moo smiled. "I was just making sure."

Delirious nodded and he slowly walked away, just to conclude their simple conversation. Moo didn't seem to mind, though. He looked almost relieved somehow. Delirious could guess that Moo was just as shy and awkward as he was. His thoughts were then inturrupted by a frustrated Mini who kept drilling at the lock, "It. . . won't. . . budge." Mini growled to himself.

"Don't worry about doing it fast, this isn't a speed race." Lui said in reassurance.

"But all this money-talk got me impatient. . ." Mini murmured, although Delirious was the only one that heard him since Lui didn't answer or talk to him after that.

Delirious nearly zoned out after the conversation. The nervous feeling at the pit of his stomach made him sick to the point where he wanted to hurl. He wished internally that someone else in the group knew about his last-minute secret, then there would be a higher chance of coming up with some sort of plan. But sadly, this wasn't the case. He knew all he had to do to let the secret out was to talk, but the hard part was finding out what happened next. Would Vanoss hear? Would he shoot? Or would he wait for the first bullet to be shot? Oh how badly he wanted to tell someone about it. Now that he thought about it a second time, he should have told Brock. But then again, that would have gotten the two men in trouble, wouldn't it? But Delirious knew that, no matter what, they were all screwed.

Seeing Mini crack the lock and opening it with success made Delirious's breathing quicken in nervousness. At this point he knew, that this mission was a mistake. "I did it!" Mini cheered.

"Finally." Wildcat grinned as he patted Mini on the head.

Delirious tapped his fingers against the gun's handle while everyone in the group crowded into the room filled with cabinets to get a glimpse at the cash. Funny enough, Delirious didn't care anymore. As everyone slid their hands in and out of their bags continously, Delirious glimpsed over at the dark room from where he came from. He could see a red jacket right around the corner, making his panicking even worse, to the point where he couldn't take it anymore. But he kept quiet.

Having no other choice, Delirious entered the small room and stuffed cash into his backpack and pockets. Even if they wouldn't keep the money for too long, he at least had to play along. "Well, looks like that's a wrap!" Lui said triumphantly.

"Thank god that's over." Brock said, relief evident on his face.

"Yeah." Wildcat agreed. "This place was stressing me out."

"Seriously, I felt like passing out." Mini said.

"Lucky for you, you'll be able to do so with a valid reason."

The harshness in the anonymous voice made the whole group freeze - all except Delirious. He was too busy staring at the individuals crowding into the room with weapons in hand. And leading them, was Vanoss. Delirious then knew that their fates were sealed.

"If you want to make it out alive, make sure to drop the bags and walk out." The guy with the darker monkey mask threatened.

"How do we know that you'll promise us this?" Mini asked.

"Exactly, I won't." Vanoss grinned. "I'll probably kill you all anyway."

"Fuck you." Wildcat growled.

"Piggy, pigs are supposed to go 'oink oink', not 'fuck you', so watch your tongue or we'll cut it off ." A man with a cat mask remarked menacingly.

Before Wildcat could retort, Lui spoke up, "What the hell do you want?"

"Isn't it obvious? The bags of cash."

"Go find another bank to rob." Delirious remarked, trying to be helpful.

"We already did." Vanoss grinned as he gave his backpack soft pats. "And this was going to be our next destination, but we didn't know we'd have to deal with all of you."

"Well now you know, now leave." Wildcat said.

"Why? It's not like you can make us." Vanoss said as he lifted his gun, increasing the tension in the room.

Delirious looked over at Lui, who was in the process of thinking.
'Come on monkey, think of something.'

"You all have 10 seconds to hand over the cash." Vanoss said nonchalantly as he twirled his revolver.

Unsure of what to do, Delirious froze. Was he going to be a coward and turn the money in? Was it even worth it? Vanoss did mention that he wasn't going to promise to keep them alive, so were there even any good options? Delirious glanced over to a determined Wildcat but an anxious Mini. Brock looked like he was thinking things over and Carlos was straight-up frightened, yet he wouldn't budge. Just like Delirious. He thought all hope was lost, until Lui finally spoke up, "You know Vanoss, I'm not afraid of you."

"Oh? That's good to hear. That will make your death seem less frightening. Now where was I? Oh yeah, 7. . . 6. . ."

"And you want to know why?" Delirious raised an eyebrow as he watched Lui reach his hand down to his pocket.

Curious, Vanoss looked at him, but he did not stop counting, "No, why don't you tell me? 3. . .2. . ."

Lui grinned as he hovered his thumb over a red button, "Why don't you C4 yourself."
