The sewers were terrible.

Not only was the stench from it strong, but it was dark. The deeper they walked, the more uncertain Delirious felt. He regretted entering the eerie tunnels now. Delirious walked near Mini, who was muttering curses under his breath whenever he accidentally stepped on the murky water. "Lui, I swear to god this is the last time we will ever let you decide on what to do."

"Quit being a pussy." Lui said, slightly shaking his flashlight. "It's not even that bad."

"Easy for you to say." Mini murmured, unamused by Lui's answer.

"Cheer up Mini." Wildcat patted Mini's back. "After all this, we will be celebrating all day long 'til we're all fucking drunk. You'll see."

"That had better be the case or else I swear that I'll go and fuck your mum after this." Mini smirked while Wildcat just laughed it off.

Delirious would have said something; too bad he didn't know them so well. He could tell that the group of friends, well, including Nogla, have gone purging before. At this point, Delirious felt completely awkward. He didn't know what to say, or what to do to spark up a conversation that got everyone involved. He internally knew that Wildcat and Mini didn't trust him. And it was quite noticeable, actually. The glances they gave him -- especially after Nogla's death -- have increased dramatically as the time went by. All of them, except Lui. It made Delirious nervous, to know that Lui was so trusting. Hopefully, he wasn't as gullible either. Delirious opened his mouth to say something, but was interrupted by a halting Lui. He arched an eyebrow, "Uh, why did you sto-"

"Shh." Lui held his hand up. This immediately alerted Mini and Wildcat which caused them to take out their guns.

Delirious stared at Lui curiously as he pointed his flashlight towards the corner of the tunnel. The sewer was like a maze, not just an endless tunnel with nothing but an exit and an opening. So, the direction Lui's flashlight pointed at showed a silhouette of two hunched people. "Who the fuck is there?!" Wildcat shouted menacingly.

The two figures froze, which brought some sort of relief to Delirious. It meant that they were a lot more scared than him. Having a sudden boost of confidence, the four slowly walked towards the two strangers. Realizing that the group was approaching, the two people raised their hands shakily; no weapons in hand. "Show yourselves." Delirious added loudly.

"E-Esperate¹. . . No need to be s-so mean okay?" A mexican accent trembled.

"Y-Yeah. Please, don't shoot. We mean no harm." The other voice said.

Curious, Delirious walked up to them. He gripped onto his weapon and examined the two from afar. One of them was tan and obviously from a different country. He had brown hair and wide eyes due to his nervousness. He wore a pink collared shirt and unusual shorts which looked more like loose boxers along with sandals worn along with white socks. Delirious didn't question his outfit, though.
The other guy had a messy brown haircut which was slicked sideways with a colorful sleeveless shirt and blue shorts with sunglasses folded and currently clinging onto his shirt. Delirious nibbled his lip, which he hoped wouldn't make his teeth red. "Who are you?"

"Why the hell are you asking for their names?" Mini whispered harshly. "Next thing you know they'll take out their backup guns and kill us all."

"Shh." Delirious glared at Mini. "So, what are your names?"

The two looked at each other but one of them cleared his throat, "My name's Brock. . ."

"A-And my name is Carlos." The mexican answered nervously.

"Mini has a point, why do we need to learn these fucker's names?" Wildcat huffed as he reloaded his gun.

"They're defenseless." Delirious said. "Look at them! Do they look like they have any weapons to you?"

"You never know if they have a pocket knife or something." Mini protested.

"See Lui? What did I say?" Wildcat looked over at a very thoughtful Lui. "Do you trust these guys?"

"I don't know. . ." Lui admitted. "Do you have any weapons on you?"

Both Carlos and Brock shook their heads. "Let me check." Delirious said as he cautiously approached the two. He examined and checked Brock first, making sure that he felt no metal objects in his pockets or shoes. After feeling absolutely nothing, Delirious switched over to Carlos. He did the same, although he noticed that Carlos's cheeks reddened a bit. He didn't know if it was from embarrassment or nervousness, but he didn't blame him. Delirious would be embarrassed too if he were being touched by another guy. "They've got nothing."

"Are you sure?" Mini asked uneasily.

"I'm sure." Delirious repeated as he put away his gun. Mini and Wildcat looked at each other until they finally lowered their guns.

"Thank you. . ." Brock breathed, his voice full of relief.

"Don't thank us yet, we still don't know what to do with you two." Wildcat growled. This brought back the slight tension and silence.

"So, what do you think Lui?" Delirious asked as he looked over at Lui.

Lui remained silent. ". . . I don't know, what do you think Delirious?"

"I think we should kill them. They're useless anyway." Mini suggested.

"I didn't ask you. I asked Delirious." Lui said while looking over at Delirious. "Once again, what do you think?"

Delirious hesitantly looked over at Brock and Carlos. Brock's eyes were full of sorrow, but they were slightly calm. It surprised Delirious. He thought that if he were in this situation, he would have pissed his pants by now. On the other hand, Carlos's eyes were wide and scared, almost begging for him to let them live. "I trust them."

Mini stared at Delirious in disbelief, "Are you serious-"

"Are you sure?" Lui interrupted calmly.

Delirious looked at Brock and Carlos, now fully confident with his answer,

"Yes, I'm sure."
