Ch. 17 Gringotts

Footsteps approached Cornelius and the children at the Leaky Cauldron. Cornelius turned and smiled when he saw sixty-five-year-old Alastor 'Mad-Eye Moody' and thirty-one-year-old Kingsley Shacklebot.

" Minister Fudge," Kingsley greeted.

" Minister," Mad-Eye Moody grunted.

" Mad-Eye Moody. Kingsley. So good to see you two," Cornelius greeted.

Sebastian and Ominis stood near Tulip when they saw Cornelius interacting with the two older Wizards.

" Who are they?" Sebastian softly asked Tulip.

" That's Alastor Mad-Eye Moody and Kingsley Shacklebot," Tulip softly responded. " Mad-Eye Moody is the most famous Auror of all time," She looked at Mad-Eye Moody with admiration.

" Auror?" Ominis' pale eyes blinked. " I have never seen an Auror up close before," He murmured.

Sebastian and Tulip glanced at Ominis, keeping their comments to themselves.

" Not only that, Mad-Eye Moody was a pivotal member of the Order of the Phoenix during the Wizarding War from 1970 through 1981. He is known as a skillful duelist against the Dark Arts, sacrificing an eye, leg, and nose during a conflict against notorious Death Eaters," Tulip spoke enthusiastically.

Sebastian warily stared at Mad-Eye Moody at the mention of the older Wizard being able to defeat those that can do Dark Arts.

" And what does this Shacklebot fellow do?" Ominis asked.

" Sir Shacklebot is a prodigy in the Auror field. Well, he and my Dad-" Tulip's gaze dimmed, thinking about her biological father, James Potter, who is currently close in age to Shacklebot.

"-were known as the best of the best in their field. Able to defeat several Death Eaters at the same time. They helped Mad-Eye Moody send these Death Eaters to Azkaban. Sadly, My Dad got severely injured during the War, which is why I am living with my adopted father, Papa Fudge since my Dad can't raise me due to him being in critical condition," She sighed.

Sebastian and Ominis looked at Tulip worryingly.

" What about your mother? She's not in your life?" Ominis asked.

Tears welled up in Tulip's eyes at the mention of her mother.

Sebastian elbowed Ominis, causing the Wizard, in particular, to glare at him as he rubbed his arm.

" I was one the night my Dad got severely injured. It was also the night I lost my Mum. A horrible man named Lord Voldemort killed her," Tulip's hands tightened into fists.

Sebastian's eyes blinked when he saw Tulip's bright green eyes glow. His eyes widened when he heard and saw nearby glasses shatter, causing him to pull her close to him.

The glass shattering startled Tulip, causing the glow in her eyes to disappear.

Cornelius, Mad-Eye Moody, and Shacklebot turned and saw broken glass near the children.

" Tulip?" Cornelius saw Sebastian holding his daughter close to him.

Tulip bashfully stared at the broken glass.

" Accidental Magic, I presume?" Mad-Eye Moody stared at Tulip.

" I thought of my birth parents," Tulip mumbled. " And I just got angry and, you know, snapped," She shyly looks at the three older Wizards.

Cornelius' gaze softened.

' I should take Tulip to see her Dad before she goes to Hogwarts. The last time she saw and spoke with her Dad was during Christmas last year,' He internally speaks.

" Your birthday is coming up. That means you will soon get your Hogwarts Acceptance," Shacklebot warmly smiled.

Tulip nodded, feeling eager to attend Hogwarts since that is where her biological and adoptive parents met and got their magical education. She is also nervous since she prays she'll meet her mysterious twin brother, Harry Potter, at that school.

" When's your birthday?" Sebastian asked while letting go of Tulip.

" I'll be eleven on July 31," Tulip responded.

" Heh. I'm older than you if we plan to have our birth years be in 1980 to blend in. My birthday is on July 7," Ominis smirked.

" I am also older than you two. My birthday is on April 25," Sebastian remarked.

Tulip and Ominis glared at Sebastian.

" Where are you four heading?" Mad-Eye Moody asked while looking at Cornelius.

" I am taking the kids to Gringotts," Cornelius responded while ushering the three children to the back of the pub with Mad-Eye Moody and Shacklebot following them.

" Are you two aware of the Unspeakable missing children case? That happened in October 1886?" He softly asked.

Mad-Eye Moody and Shacklebot looked at each other and nodded. When they got sworn into the Auror department, the Unspeakable approached them and notified them of the mysterious missing children case.

" These two are those missing children," Cornelius motioned to Sebastian and Ominis, conversing with Tulip.

Mad-Eye Moody and Shacklebot looked at the two Wizards with mixed emotions.

" I cannot believe it," Mad-Eye Moody mouths out.

" Who would have thought these two would appear in this era?" Shacklebot looks at the two Wizards.

" I was also in disbelief. That is why I am taking those two to Gringotts. They wanted Tulip to tag along since she was the one that saved them, and they feel comfortable around her," Cornelius responded.

" What a coincidence," Shacklebot amusingly chuckled.

" Of course. Our beloved Wizarding Savior would be the one to find and save the two missing children," Mad-Eye Moody looks at Tulip.

The children stood before a brick wall. They watched Cornelius pull out his wand and tap the brick wall, activating an entrance to Diagon Alley.

The children watched the brick wall move, revealing an archway and seeing an alleyway that leads to a crowded street.

" It's been a while," Sebastian whispered, since it had been a month since he last stepped foot on Diagon Alley.

Ominis' shivered.

He can't shake this feeling that Magic is welcoming him back home.

Tulip smiled, looking ecstatic to see the crowded street. She grabs the two Wizards' hands tightly and exits the pub.

" Tulip! Wait up!" Cornelius amusingly chuckled since he saw how excited his daughter looked.

He walked beside the children with Mad-Eye Moody in front of them while Kingsley was behind them.

Once they entered the crowded street, everyone whispered and chattered when they saw their Magical Minister with Tulip. They wanted to approach Tulip but held themselves when they saw the two famous Aurors near her.

Sebastian noticed the way the crowd stared at Cornelius and Tulip with admiration. He figured they were admiring Cornelius since he's Britain's Ministry of Magic's Minister, and maybe it was rare to see him in the public eye and not in his office.

" We're here," Mad-Eye Moody stopped walking and motioned to Gringotts.

Tulip smiled while Sebastian looked at the building in awe.

Ominis' hand tightly grasped Tulip's hand. He lifted his head, and the sunlight made him see an outline of the building. He looked surprised to see the tall building.

" Gringotts sure has changed since the last time I stepped foot in there," Sebastian commented.

Mad-Eye Moody opened the door, watching the children and Cornelius enter. He nodded when he saw Shacklebot following them. He looked at his surroundings and stepped inside, closing the door behind him.

" Goblins," Sebastian furiously hissed while tightly grasping Tulip's hand.

Tulip and Ominis stared at Sebastian when they heard him hiss. Even though they knew that Sebastian was hissing out of anger, they understood him clearly.

" What's wrong, Sebastian?" Tulip asked, causing Ominis to look at her with mixed emotions, surprised that she understood what Sebastian was saying.

" They are the reason Anne can't attend Hogwarts," Sebastian stared at the Goblins doing their jobs with a murderous gaze.

" Goblins attacked his hometown and cursed his sister," Ominis softly explained to Tulip.

Tulip frowned, squeezing Sebastian's hand tightly when he saw his other hand going to grab his wand from its holster.

" Sebastian," Tulip firmly spoke.

Sebastian glanced at Tulip.

" You got to remember. It's been 105 years since the Goblins attacked your hometown and cursed your sister. Alot has changed. These Goblins aren't the same Goblins you knew," Tulip reminded.

Sebastian's eyes intently stared at Tulip's.

Tears welled up in Sebastian's eyes, wanting to kill the Goblins, but he held himself when he remembered that he had three strong Wizards near him that could easily take him out.
