Gymnastic Fantastic

Finally the early morning has come. The sun shines brightly down upon the once dark room. Everything is still, except for a certain Pokémon trainer.

Armor, who is never up this early, stood awake. The night before had been tiresome, but he had some how managed to be full of energy.

Looking over to Locket, Armor sighed. How could he have been so blind to not have seen her pain.

'She's not the most attractive person, she may be awkward and inexperienced life, but she's kind and positive even when she's upset.' Armor thought to himself. He could feel a strange knotting in his chest as he kept thinking more about his friend. 'Maybe I can do something to cheer her up even more than just a hug and ice cream. But what? There's a rumor about an event going on today in town. I could take her there!'

Almost on cue, Locket began to stir in her sleep. Her gray eyes flutter open as the world fades into her veiwing.

"Good morning!" Locket says in a low whisper, her voice still alseep.

"Good morning. Looks like someone was tired. Hey, would you like to go see something in town?"

"Sure! That would be fun!" Quickly Locket jumped out of bed, waking up Chespin and Espurr in the process. The trainer grabbed her folded travel clothes and ran out the room to go change in the Pokémon Center's restroom.

Already dressed, Armor looked over to Chespin and Espurr, who were rubbing their eyes. The two Pokémon were awake, unknowing of the nights events.

"Good morning you two. Today were going to a town event.

Both Pokémon looked at each other before smiling.

"Alright, let's get going than. Locket went to get changed, but she'll be back in a few moments." Armor said as he began to clean up the room. He grabbed his and Locket's backpack, putting them by the door just as said girl burst back into the room.

"What's going on over there?" Asked Locket. After leaving the Pokemon Center, Armor had taken Locket to see a small side show. The side show was being held by a young girl with pink hair in high pigtails.

On a mini stage, the girl stood on a balance beam along with a Braxien and Kirlia. The trio back flipped off the balance beam to land on the back of an Altaria who had passed by. The Altaria was in the middle of useing Dazzling Gleam, to add a shine to her friends on her back.

Once the Altaria was close enough to the ground, the girl, Braxien, and Kirlia jumped off to land on one hand on the balance beam.

"That's Aria Hollite! She's a gymnast, but is currently doing side shows all over Kalos!" Armor explained as Aria did a front flip towards the crowd to land face first with her audience.

"Thank you for watching everyone! I hope you all enjoyed our performance."

The crowd of people clapped before scattering off.

Intrigued, Locket approached Aria, from behind. The pink pigtailed girl, unknowing of Locket's presence, began to dismantle the balance beam she was useing earlier in her performance. Her pink pigtails moving side to side as she tapped her foot to a mute song.

With a smile, Locket moved closer to tap Aria on her shoulder. She was surprised to see the gymnast whirl around in surprise so quickly.

"Hi, I'm Locket. I just watched your performance and I thought you and your Pokemon did great! Would you mind if I asked how old you are?"

Aria looked to Locket with a mixture of happiness and weirdedout-ness. Just why did this girl want to know her age?

"Nice to meet you Locket! I'm Aria Hollite, and I'm so pleased that you enjoyed my performance. My age is 16, turning 17 in October. Were you by chance in the Amberette Town showcase yesterday?"

At the mention of the showcase, Locket blushed in embarrassment. She had forgotten about it up until now.

"Actually yes I was. But, I did a really bad job. I'm not sure I'm cut out to be a performer."

Almost instantly Armor appeared at Locket's side. He knew how upset the blue haired girl was and didn't want another sad episode.

Aria looked to Armor, giving him a sly smile.

"But, you were amazing Locket! You don't want to let down all your fans and especially not your boyfriend here."

"Yeah I guess your right, but I'm no good!" Locket said with a soft smile.

Armor on the other hand was now a blushing mess. Hearing that he was Locket's "boyfriend" sent chills through his body.

"Actually Aria, Locket and I are just friends. There's nothing more to it. At least I wish we were." Armor announced, thinking that last sentence in his head.

With a confussed look, Locket turned her attention to her male friend. She didn't get why he got so flustered at being called her "boyfriend." Armor was a boy and her friend. So why not just combine the two into one word? But, she neverminded that and decided it's best to just call him her friend.

The pink haired girl frowned for a moment before linking her arms with those of Locket's and Armor's. She dragged the two - to her mini stage, sitting Armor on the grass below it and placing Locket in the center of the mini stage.

Skooting back, Aria frammed Locket between her fingers before snapping twice.

"You don't think you're good, huh? Show me what chu got and I'll tell you if should continue or not. Amour and my Pokemon here will be our witness."

Locket gulped as Aria, Braxien, Kirlia, and Altaria all took a seat on the grass to watch Locket.

Taking a deep breath, Locket held onto her pendant. She grabbed her two Pokeball's from her skirt pocket and threw them out in front of her. Out came Chespin and Espurr in a blue light. The two Pokémon smiled as they joined their trainer to bow to their audience.

"Alright, Chespin use Vine Whip! Espurr use your Pysbeam!"

Happily Chespin used his Vine Whip to grab hold of Espurr, lifting her into the air. The feline Pokemon cheered in joy as she spun useing her Pysbeam to form a ringlet around Chespin and Locket below.

Locket threw her hands up and spun in a circle. Chespin let go of Espurr, so she could land in Locket's hands, who grabbed Chespin and spun in place with both her Pokemon.

"Tada!"

Armor, Aria - and her Pokemon, clapped for Locket as she walked to the edge of the mini stage. She smiled as she waited to hear what her friends had to say.Of course Armor would support Locket no matter what! But, Aria on the other hand was new to the blue haired girl, so anything could happen.

"You know what I think? I think you should continue on with your performances! You have potential and seemed to be enjoying your moment on that stage. How about adding some music to up your performances? That'll really wow your audience!"

With tears in her eyes, Locket tackled Aria into a hug. The two tumbled back onto the grass in a pile of laughter.

Armor smiled at his friend regaining her confidence.
