(Thursday)

A few days after Y/N's physical bar fight with Ryan Cabrera and his wimp posse, the airman wants to get his mind away from the incident, and focus on the present. Y/N was at the business firm doing his work 30 minutes before his lunch break, and he was laser focused.

After half an hour, Y/N was three quarters done with his work, but it was time for his lunch break. He went to the break room and got his food; as he sat down, he got a face time call from Mike.

Y/N: hey Mike

Mike: how are you holding up, man?

Y/N: I've been doing well, why you ask?

Mike: well Lexi came here yesterday and she told us what happened at the bar and grill

Y/N: her idiot singer of a boyfriend started provoking me, and then it went all physical

Mike: well, we're on your side man

Y/N: I just want to clear my head

Mike: I got an idea that can make you feel better?

Y/N: what's that, man?

As Mike was about to say something, someone wanted to join in their face time.

Mike: who's calling?

Y/N: oh, it's my buddy from the Air Force, 1st Lt. Mitchell

Y/N tapped the accept call button, and Pete joined.

Pete: hey Y/N

Y/N: Pete, I like to introduce you to my best friend and WWE announcer, Mike Rome.

Mike: nice to meet you

Pete: no way really?!

Mike: it's true

Y/N: so Pete, what's up?

Pete: I'm on break at my workplace, and I couldn't help but to call you

Y/N: well Mike was about to say something

Mike: oh right, so since you're also in Pete, I was thinking for us to have a guys' night later

Pete: a guys' night, that's a great idea!

Y/N: I agree, I still need to clear my mind of that incident

Pete: no kidding dude, you brought hell on those guys

Y/N: so Mike, where are we going later?

Mike: let's go bowling!

Y/N: yes!

Pete: Mike, are you sure about that? I've seen Y/N bowl when we're in the Air Force together, and the man rolls strikes all the time

Mike: as Y/N said, he needs to clear his head

Y/N: yeah Pete, we'll just play for fun

Pete: alright, I'm in

Mike: meet me at my house this afternoon, and I'll send you my address, Pete

Pete: alright

Y/N: I'll see you boys later

Y/N ended the call and went back to eating his food while he watched some videos on YouTube. After his break, he went back to work and finished his remaining tasks.

(A few hours later)

Y/N clocked out and he drove back to his apartment room. Mike messaged him and Pete saying to meet him at his house around 5:30, giving Y/N two and a half hours to unwind after a hard day at work. Y/N went inside his room and immediately sat down on the couch as he activated his PS4. The pure fan chose and continued his game session of God of War.

His save progress left him off after Y/N defeated and killed the Greek messenger god Hermes, having acquired his shoes for fast agility. Y/N played on until he was confronted by another boss in the game, the Greek hero Hercules.

Y/N: alright, let's do this

Y/N controlled Kratos as he fought the big strong man, and after some vicious combos, Y/N managed to get another weapon, in which he used to finish off Hercules by punching his face in multiple times as Y/N repeatedly pressed circle.

Another in-game death has brought satisfaction upon Y/N's face as he smirked and chuckled a bit.

(An hour and a half later)

After Y/N saved his progress, he switched over to a game from his childhood, Call of Duty Modern Warfare: Remastered.

Y/N: Captain Price, I miss you sir

The pure wrestling fan played through the first few missions until he saw the time was almost 5:30, Y/N saved and quit his game and turned off his console before he changed into his casual wear. He zipped up his military jacket and left his apartment as he drove to Mike's house.

As Y/N drove, Pete was calling him, and the pure fan put him on speaker.

Y/N: hey Pete

Pete: dude, I'm on my way

Y/N: yeah, me too

Pete: alright, I'll see you there

(15 minutes later)

Y/N parked in front of Mike's house, and as he was about to go knock, he heard a car horn; Y/N turned to see it was Pete's car. The pure fan's Air Force buddy got out of his car to bro hug Y/N.

Then Y/N knocked on the door to see Mike opening it.

Mike: hey guys

Y/N: so you ready to go?

Mike: hold on, let me clean up first, so come in and make yourselves at home

Mike let Y/N and Pete in as the WWE announcer was fixing up his stuff.

Y/N: it seemed you had a Twitch session with Nessie

Mike: yeah we did

Y/N: where is she though?

Mike: in the dining room eating

Y/N: damn, if she was asleep, all three of us could've scare her

Nessie: I heard that!

Pete: busted dude

Y/N: I'm just kidding, Vanessa!

Nessie: you better be or I'll smack you like I did to Mike

Mike: my head still hurts, man

Y/N: your head hurts, but we're all entertained by the #scarenessie videos

Pete: true that

Mike: alright, just give me a few minutes to change and then we can go

Y/N: alright man

While Mike put his gaming system away, memories came flooding back to Y/N's head as he looked at the backyard. Pete saw this and was concerned.

Pete: Y/N, you alright man?

Y/N: oh yeah, I'm fine

Pete: dude, come on you know you can tell me

Y/N took a deep breath.

Y/N: Pete, right there is the place where it all happened

Pete knew that Y/N was referring to the night that Alexa broke up with him.

Pete: oh dude... damn

Then Mike came and saw the look on his best friend's face; the WWE announcer saw where he was looking, and immediately knew what Y/N was recalling.

Mike: Pete, is he?

Pete: yeah

Mike: dude?

Y/N: yeah?

Mike: do you want to talk about it?

Y/N knew that he has to tell everything that happened after he was discharged, and Pete and Mike were the only two people he can tell it to.

Y/N: well after I was honorably discharged, I went to a SmackDown show to get my interest in WWE back

Mike: okay

Pete: go on, man

Y/N: there was supposed to be scheduled match between Lacey Evans and Naomi, but Naomi was ambushed, and Lacey's last minute opponent was... Alexa

Pete: oh shit

Y/N: I couldn't stand to be there, so I left the arena and watched the show from the monitor

Y/N went on to tell that after the show, he heard Alexa screaming for help, and went to save her from the group of dirty and disrespectful fans. Then he went on to tell of another similar incident which involved the bag thief at the mall, in which Y/N chased and tackled him down, while not knowing that the bag belonged to the Goddess herself.

Then he went to tell Mike and Pete of his physical confrontation with Ryan and his posse.

Pete: he made a big mistake picking a fight with you

Mike: and also you saved Alexa twice, man

Y/N: there's a part inside me that doesn't want to see her hurt

Mike: I want to ask a strong question, dude

Y/N: yes?

Mike: you still care about Alexa, don't you?

Y/N took a deep breath as he looked down to hide a stray tear falling from his eye. Pete patted his shoulder to comfort his Air Force buddy. Then Y/N wiped the tear from his eye as he nodded.

Y/N: yeah, of course I still care about her. Yes, she ripped my heart to pieces but she's still important to me, and I wish I was still important to her too

What Y/N doesn't know is that Nessie heard the last part, which was that part inside of her friend still cared about Alexa, she put her hands over her mouth to not make noise as tears fell from her eye.

Pete: strong words from a soldier

Y/N: Alexa was my inspiration to work hard when I was in college

Mike: yeah, we remembered that

Y/N: I still love her, guys

Pete and Mike gave their friend comfort back rubs. Then the three guys left for their bowling night. Then Nessie received a call from Alexa.

Nessie: hey Lex

Alexa: hey Nessie, are you busy now?

Nessie: no why?

Alexa: you want to hang out?

Nessie: yeah sure, call Erin too if she wants to come

Alexa: I already did, and she said yes

Nessie: alright, meet me at my house

Alexa: okay, we'll see you there

Nessie ended the call and took a deep breath as she still remembered what Y/N said.

(With the guys)

The three men were at the bowling alley eating and playing. Pete watched Y/N scored another strike.

Y/N: I still got it

Mike: you're good at this, man

Pete: I remembered when we were at the base, Y/N always whooped my ass in bowling

Y/N: Pete, the ball is not supposed to roll on the gutters

Pete: whatever man

Mike: alright, my turn

Mike rolled the ball and knocked down eight pins.

Y/N: you suck

Mike: shut up, man; I'm just getting started

Pete: says the god of bowling

The three friends shared a laugh.

(Back with the girls)

Alexa and Erin were at Nessie's house watching movies. However, Nessie still has yet to tell Alexa of what she heard. The Goddess saw the look on Nessie's face.

Alexa: Vanessa, anything wrong?

Nessie: yeah, everything is okay

Alexa: come on Nessie, we've been friends for a long time, you can tell me anything

Nessie took a deep breath and she put her words together as she was about to tell the Goddess of Y/N.

Nessie: Lex, earlier Y/N was here

Alexa: oh he was?

Nessie: yeah

Alexa: and then what happened?

Nessie: I heard him saying things when he saw you on SmackDown, and then he saved you from disrespectful fans at a parking lot and a bag thief at the mall

Alexa's mind triggered those memories while tears began to fall from her eyes.

Alexa: w-what else did he say?

Nessie: Alexa, Y/N still cares about you; even though you hurt him, you're still important to him, and he wish he was still important to you too, and...

Alexa: what is it Erin?

Nessie: Y/N still loves you

As Alexa heard what Nessie said, the Goddess began to cry her eyes out, now knowing that the old Y/N she used to know is still in there. Erin and Nessie comforted the Goddess as they hugged her.

Alexa: Y/N... he still cares about me... he still loves me

Erin: even though he doesn't want anything to do with you, Y/N still cared

Nessie: and it made me wonder why Ryan was not there to save you when those two incidents happened

Alexa: Ryan was busy with his music

Erin: Lex, it's obviously clear that he cares more of his music than you

Nessie: while there is someone like Y/N who cares of your safety and your life

The Goddess is slowly starting to get the bigger picture as she now know that underneath Y/N's cold and expressionless attitude is her warm, pure and respectful fan she loves.

(A few hours later)

The guys were done bowling for the night.

Pete: once again, Y/N whooped our asses

Y/N: hey, as you said, I'm the god of bowling

Mike: next time, a contest for your title

Y/N: bring it on

The three guys shared a laugh.

Y/N: thank you guys, I really needed this

Mike: of course man, we're your friends

Pete: we care about your welfare

Y/N: I appreciate it, and now it's time for me to go, I still have work tomorrow

Mike: alright, catch you later man

The three guys got in their cars and went their separate ways.

(With Y/N)

Y/N was at his apartment getting ready for bed. He changed into his night clothes and saw his two dogs fast asleep in their beds on the floor. Then the pure fan went on his laptop because he wasn't sleepy yet.

Then Y/N went over to Instagram, and stared at the screen before he made a bold choice. He typed in and clicked on Alexa's profile and then he clicked on the blue button.

Unblock

Unblock alexa_bliss_wwe_?

Y/N placed the cursor on the unblock button. He nodded to himself, and clicked it. Then Y/N clicked the Follow button. After that, he surfed through the Internet until he shut down his laptop and fell asleep.

(With Alexa)

Alexa still couldn't get over what Nessie said that Y/N still cared about her, and wished he was important to her as well, referring to when the pure fan called her his inspiration to work hard during his college years. As Alexa was ready to go to sleep, she heard her phone pinged. The Goddess looked over to see an Instagram notification, as she went to see what it was, her eyes widened.

Y/N_L/N has followed you

Alexa began to cry happy tears as Y/N unblocked and followed her again. She tearfully smiled.

Alexa: Y/N...

She held her phone against her chest and then went to see his latest post, which was a picture of him wearing his military jacket and shades. Alexa liked the photo and went to comment.

Then Alexa put her phone on the table and went to sleep with a tearful smile on her face.
