A few days after Y/N revamped himself to rid his heartbreak of Alexa Bliss, he felt that doing his every day routine would not make him feel better. After a few days at the shooting range, his friend and instructor Jason has suggested him to enlist in basic training, given his natural talent with shooting.

Y/N took up Jason's suggestion, and he thought to himself.

Y/N: I need to go away for a while

He nodded to himself, and he went on his laptop to see which military branch he would like to sign up for. The pure fan had graduated with an academic honor in college, so he knew that whatever branch Y/N will take, he'll be enlisted as an officer. The two branches that Y/N eyed on was the Air Force and the Navy. 

While Y/N was looking through, his phone was ringing; the pure fan saw that his best friend Mike was calling.

Y/N: hey

Mike: dude, how you doing?

Y/N: I'm doing alright

Mike: I guess you saw SmackDown a few days ago, huh?

Y/N: Orton and McIntyre make a great team

Mike: don't forget Alexa

Y/N: right... her

Mike: sorry I mentioned her

Y/N: it's fine

Mike: so what are you up to?

Y/N: I'm just relaxing at my apartment

Mike: Y/N, to help you get back on your feet, Nessie and I are going to Universal Studios

Y/N: I appreciate the offer Mike, but I feel like I'll be a third wheel; I just need time to recover first

Mike: I understand

Y/N: okay man, I got things to do

Mike: take care man

Y/N: thanks

The two best friends ended the call and Y/N went back to looking through. After a few minutes, Y/N has decided his interest and enlist in the Air Force. As he was about to fill up the online form, he received a notification on his phone. Curious, Y/N saw on his screen and was taken aback by the message.

alexa_bliss_wwe_ has sent you a message

Y/N was not interested, so he swiped and cleared the notification and went back to filling up the form. After that, he went to play his game while his form is processed.

(A few days later)

Y/N was eating breakfast until he heard his phone ring.

Y/N: hello?

???: good morning, is this Y/N L/N?

Y/N: speaking sir

Recruiter: hello Y/N, this is Sgt. Roberts, I'm one of the U.S. Air Force recruiters

Y/N: oh hello sir

Roberts: yes, I looked through your form, and I was really impressed of what you did

Y/N: thank you sir

Roberts: I'm calling you to schedule your ASVAB examination, does today work for you?

Y/N: yes sir, it's totally fine; what time though?

Roberts: around lunch time, and the test will be at your college campus

Y/N: okay sir, I'll be there

Roberts: alright, I'll see you later

Y/N: thank you, Sgt. Roberts

Y/N ended the call, and was now feeling confident. 

(Later)

As Y/N was getting ready for his ASVAB examination, he heard his phone ring. He looked at the screen, and he couldn't help but stare at the name.

Alexa Bliss

Y/N: the hell you need to call me for? You have that idiot for a boyfriend

The pure fan pressed Decline and shook his head as he buttoned his shirt. After he dressed up, Y/N left his apartment and drove to his old college campus.

(Few minutes later)

Y/N parked inside, and saw the banner of U.S. Air Force ASVAB testing examination. He went inside, and met with Sgt. Roberts.

Y/N: Sergeant

Roberts: Y/N, great to see you

Y/N: is this room where the exam will be taken?

Roberts: yes, and you made it on time; go take a seat

Y/N nodded and took his seat with the other potential troops.

After about an hour and a half, the examination was done, and Y/N was anxious of his results; Sgt. Roberts told him to wait three weeks for the results.

(Three weeks later)

Y/N got his ASVAB results and they were enough to qualify for the Air Force recruitment. The pure wrestling fan went to meet with a counselor while he brought along his college degree, so he can enlist as a commissioned officer. The pure fan nailed the physical examination and then he talked to a counselor.

Y/N talked with the counselor about his career selection, and given he graduated with a Bachelor's in business management, he decided to go for accounting, since he is more familiar with that field.

After that, Y/N went for his uniform fitting and was given his fatigues, and was expected to report at Macdill Air Force Base at Tampa, Florida in two days. As he exited the facility, Y/N shook hands with Sgt. Roberts.

Roberts: welcome to the Air Force, Lieutenant

Y/N: thank you Sergeant

Y/N got in his car and drove back home.

(At his apartment)

Y/N called Rick to tell him that he is resigning from the firm for a while after telling him that he is now in the Air Force. Then he told his parents as well, and the two completely supported their son's decision.

F/N: I think it's right for you to get away for a while, son

M/N: and we both know how much you love Alexa

Y/N: well what can I do now, she is with that idiot cheater

M/N: so son, are you going to be in the front-line or something like that?

Y/N: no mom, since I graduated with an honor, I am enlisted as a 2nd Lieutenant, so I'll be working in the office

M/N: good son, you take care alright?

Y/N: yes mom, you and dad take care too

F/N: we'll see you soon, lieutenant

His dad said as he saluted him, and Y/N saluted as well.

(Two days later)

Y/N was expected to report at Macdill at 10:00 am sharp, so he got up early and showered. After that, he put on his fatigues; he knew that he'll be gone for 10 weeks, so he decided to drop off his corgi and golden retriever at Mike's house.

Y/N: alright you two, I'll be gone for a while, so you'll stay with Mike and Nessie, okay?

The two dogs barked.

Y/N: alright let's go

The pure fan and his two dogs left the apartment and drove off to the WWE announcer's house.

(15 minutes later)

Y/N and his two dogs were in front of Mike's house. The pure fan grabbed his dogs and knocked on the door. A few seconds later, Mike opened it and was surprised to see his best friend in military fatigues.

Mike: hey Y/N, what's with the uniform?

Y/N: Mike, I'm part of the Air Force now

Mike: what?!

Then Nessie came as she heard the commotion.

Nessie: what's happening here? Y/N, what are you wearing?

Y/N: can you two watch my dogs while I'm gone?

Nessie: gone? Where you going?

Y/N: Tampa, that's where the base I'll be staying at for now

Mike: why are you doing this, man?

Y/N: I need to go away for a while; staying here in Orlando will remind me of that night

Nessie: when do you have to go?

Y/N: I have two hours left, and the drive from here to Tampa is an hour and nineteen minutes

Mike: you take care of yourself

Y/N: yeah

The two best friends bro hugged.

Nessie: we are all here for you, Y/N

The pure fan smiled and nodded as he hugged Nessie.

Y/N: I'll see you guys soon

The pure fan waved goodbye and he got in his car for the drive to Tampa.

After an hour, Y/N has arrived at Tampa and parked in front of Macdill Air Force Base. The pure WWE fan got out of his car and stood in front of the entrance; he nodded to himself before he entered.

(Meanwhile)

Alexa has been constantly messaging Y/N on Instagram, but she has not receive a reply, which made tears fall from her eyes. Ryan was at the recording studio working on another song, so the Goddess went to call Mike.

Mike: hey Lexi

Alexa: Mike, have you got a chance to talk to Y/N?

Mike was stuck in between a rock and a hard place, but he had to tell the truth to the Goddess.

Mike: I just talked to him an hour ago, why?

Alexa: can you invite him to your house because I want to talk to him

Mike: uhh Lexi, I'm sorry there's no way that's possible

Alexa: what do you mean, you're his best friend, he is one of the people who listens to you

Mike: yeah, but Lexi, Y/N is not here in general; he's left Orlando

Alexa: what? Where did he go?

Mike: he's in Tampa, Y/N has enlisted in the Air Force

Alexa: no...

Mike: I'm sorry, but you left him for dead; only God knew what he have done if he didn't sign up

Tears began to rain from the Goddess' eyes.

Alexa: how long he'll be gone?

Mike: I don't know

Alexa: please tell him when he comes back, I want to talk to him

Mike sighed and nodded.

Mike: I'll try my best

Alexa: thanks Mike

The two ended the call and Alexa laid on her bed as she scrolled through the pictures of Y/N; the Goddess held her phone against her chest while tears fell from her eyes.
