-Miles-
"Miles!?" I heard someone calling for me. 'It's sounds so familiar,' I thought. I walk towards the voice but I can't see anything.
"Miles!?" said the voice again.
"Victor!?" I yelled, knowing who the voice belong to.
"Miles!? Where are you?" Victor asked, sounding desperate.
"I don't know, Victor," I reply, trying to find my way to him. I walked slowly to the door or wall. I started to feel around and my hand hit a knob. I gently grabbed and twisted it opened. A bright light hit my face. I closed my eyes and in a couple of seconds I opened them again.
"Victor?!" I called out. I walked down the brightly lighten hallway.
"Miles?!" I heard his voice in agony. Victor's voice sound so broken.
"Hold on, Victor. I'm coming," I said, running down the hallway and slammed opened the door. I saw was Victor chained to the wall.
"Victor?" I choked out. He lift his head and looked at me.
"Miles," He said with a weak smile.
"Hold on. I'm gonna get you down," I said, walking over to my mate and started to get the chains off. After about twenty minutes, I finally got the chains off of Victor. He fell to the floor.
"Thanks, Miles," Victor said, trying to get back on his feet.
"Don't worry about. Let's just get out of here," I said, helping Victor to his feet.
"Miles, are you okay?" Victor asked, leaning on me for support.
"I'm fine but how about you?"
"Just in a little pain," Victor said. I wrapped my arms around his waist for more support.
"Victor, what exactly happened?" I asked, focusing on what lays in front of us.
"I don't know. I was more worried about what might happened to you than anything else," Victor admitted.
"I was worried about you too, Victor," I said, looking beside me. I smiled and continued down the hall.
"Miles, do where we are?" Victor whispered.
"No, I don't. I woke up in a dark room. That's all I know," I sighed.
"Miles, are you okay?" He asked.
"Yeah, I'm good, Victor," I said, making our way through a double doors. We make outside of the building that we were just in. I looked around for a mood of transportation.
"Miles," Victor said, pointing at a truck.
"Good eye," I said. we made our way to the truck. I helped Victor to the passenger side. I walked all the way around to get in the driver side and put the key in the ignition. I started up the truck and pulled away from the building.
~Victor~
I looked out of the truck's window and saw the trees passing by us quickly. I glance at my mate and notice something on his neck. That's when I realized Miles neck was black and blue.
"Miles, your neck?" I choked out.
"What about it, Victor?" Miles asked, looking at me then back to the road.
"It's bruised," I stated worriedly.
"Really? Hun, now that you mention it. My neck does hurt," Miles said, using one of his hand to rub his neck.
"Miles, what the hell happened to you in that dark room?" I asked, facing my mate.
"Victor, I don't remember what happened in that room," He said. I stared into those amazing red and blue eyes. I turn towards the windshield.
"But how the hell did we end up in there, anyways?" I asked.
"I don't know but we need to stop and get some gas," Miles said, pulling into a gas station, "Victor stay in here and rest for a bit," Miles said, getting out of the truck.
"I will try," I said, leaning my head against the window. I closed my eyes and started to think of what happened.
--------FLASHBACK--------
I woke up to sounds of my parents screaming about something. My sister came in my room saying something about hunters. I realized what my sister said and started to wake up Miles.
"Miles we need to leave," I said, waking up my mate.
"Why?" He yawned. 'So cute,' I thought, shaking my head to clear it.
"Hunters are coming," I said, throwing some clothes at Miles. Miles and I ran out of the manor. The hunters surround us. I pulled Miles closer to me. Miles and I tried to escape but failed. The hunter pulled Miles out of my grasped.
"MILES!" I screamed. Some of the hunter were trying to hold me back.
"VICTOR!" I heard my mate calling desperately for me.
"Don't you dare hurt him because if you do I will make you wish you were never born," I threaten the hunters. I got no responds.
"VICTOR, HELP ME, PLEASE!" I heard Miles call me. My mate's voice sounding so broken.
"Miles!" I called to him. I struggled against my captures and got free. I fought through the hunters to get to Miles. I felt something went into my neck.
"VICTOR!" I heard Miles's pleaded before everything went black.
~END OF FLASHBACK
I opened eyes to see red and blue eyes staring at me.
"Miles?" I asked, wanting to make sure it was him.
"Yeah, it's me, Victor," he said with a worried expression.
"Miles, are you okay?" I asked again, feeling like the hundredth time I asked it today. I sat up a bit.
"Yeah, how about you?" Miles asked, placing a hand on my cheek.
"I just remember how we ended up at that place," I said, looking down at my hands.
"Really?" Miles asked, getting in the driver seat.
"Yeah, it was pretty bad," I said, not wanting to go into details.
"I bet it was," Miles said, pulling out of the gas station.
~Miles~
I was worried about Victor. He remembered what happened to us.
"Miles, I know what you're thinking. It's better if you don't know," Victor said, putting his head on my shoulder.
"I'm worried about you, Victor. I also don't want you to go through this alone," I said, patting his head.
"I know Miles. It's just that, what happened to us; make me feel like I failed you," Victor said, sniffling.
"Victor, it don't matter now. What matter now is getting a safe distances between us and that place," I said, looking for a sign.
"I know but I tried everything I could and still not enough to get you out of harms way," He whimpered. I felt something wet hit my shoulder.
"Victor, I know that but you still are alive. I'm still alive. That's all that mattered to me," I said, turning right.
"Miles, where are we going?" Victor asked.
"To my home city," I said, heading down another road.
"Miles, do you think that's a good idea?" Victor asked, sounding worried.
"It's the best thing I can come up with," I said. Thirty minutes later, We made it to my home city. I pulled into a familiar looking area.
"Look it's Miles," I heard a little girl voice. I put the truck in park and shut it off.
"Miles, are you sure we are safe here?" Victor asked, trying to get out of the truck.
"For now at least," I said, helping him out.
"Miles, I told you not to come back here," said an old familiar voice.
"Dylan, it's been few years. Oh, look you brought Sean along with you," I said sarcastically.
"Well, it looks like we will have to beat-"
"If you touch Miles; You better pray to god that you'll live," Victor growled.
"And Who the hell are you?" Sean asked, looking at Victor.
"His mate," Victor said, standing up and walking over to them. I could sense the venom with each step.
"Victor, it's not the time for you to be fighting," I said, trying to hold him back.
"I'm not going to take their crap, Miles. I'm a pure blood and these are nothing compare to what I have to deal with," Victor said, turning to face me then back at them. Dylan and Sean looked terrified. I smiled but something is off with Victor.
"Victor, that's enough," I said, tugging at his jacket.
"Why?" He asked, looking confused.
"Because I'm better than that, Victor. So, are you," I said, taking his hand and headed into the house.
~Victor~
I walked into his home. It's looks really nice and I still can hear those teens outside. I really want to kill them but Miles told me not to.
"Miles, is this your home?" I asked, curious to know.
"Yeah, I lived here since I was four," He said, walking into kitchen.
"Along with those two?" I asked, getting angry again.
"No, those guys lived in another part of the city but they come here because of their girlfriends," He said, running the water.
"Why do you let them do that to you?" I asked, getting upset.
"Because eventually they will stop or I hope they will," He said, slamming the pot on stove.
"Miles... I'm sorry... I didn't think," I said, trying to think of something to say.
"It's fine. You're not the first person, who told me that," Miles said, lifting his head up.
"Miles?" I asked softly.
"Right you might want some blood," He said, walking over to his fridge. He pulled out two blood bags and handed them to me.
"Thanks, Miles," I said.
