Chapter 3
~Victor~
Mom? Why did Miles called me mom? I thought for a moment. Wait his dad was a werewolf so his mom must be a vampire. So, my scent must be close to his mother. This is sad. I can't believe this.
"Mom please no," I hear him whimpering over my shoulder. I decided to just carry him in my arms.
"Shh, love, you're safe now," I said softly. I saw him snuggled closer. I smiled down at him. I made it to my room. I laid Miles on my bed and started to read over some vampires' laws.
"Mate?... Mates? Hmm?... Found it." I said quietly. I looked at my phone and called Dr. Bride.
"Hello is this Dr. Bride. Okay I got a question. How do you know if you found your mate?" I asked the doctor, "Yes I do feel protective of him, Yes It's a guy. I don't know. He's a sleep. Umm I don't know. Since yesterday. Yes. Okay thanks," I said, ending the call. I sat on my bed next to Miles.
"Victor, go to sleep," Miles whispered.
"Don't need sleep," I said, looking at Miles.
"Well," He muttered.
"Well what?" I asked.
"You where supposed to asked me something?" He asked, coving his face with my blankets. So cute.
"Yes, how do you feel when you're around me?" I asked, looking kindly at him.
"Safe and warm," He mumbled. I was shocked.
~Miles~
"Safe and warm?" Victor repeated me.
"Yes," I said, hiding my face in the covers.
"Really?" I heard him asked.
"Mmh,"
"I can't believe this," Victor said. I flinched at those words, "Miles? What's wrong?"
"I don't like those words," I muttered.
"Which ones?" He asked.
"I can't believe this," I said, trying not to cry from all those memories.
"Sorry, Miles. I didn't mean to make you upset," Victor said, kissing me on the forehead.
"It's okay, " I said, snuggling closer. I closed my eyes as someone was shifting on the bed.
~Time skip~
I woke up not recognizing where I am. I looked around and saw someone sitting at a desk. I started to panic. Hunters? No. Who is that person? What do they want? I started to move and he turn his head to face me.
"Who are you? I panted.
"Victor we meet two days ago," He answered.
"Where am I?" I asked, backing away from him.
"In my room," He said, keeping his distanced from me.
"Why am I here?" I asked.
"I brought you here. You almost passed out in the hall way after you ate and drinking blood," He said. I stared at him. I started to calm down when I recalled the memory of yesterday.
"Sorry," I whispered.
"For what?" Victor asked, moving my hair out of my eyes.
"For not recognizing you," I whispered, looking at the ground.
"No, it fine. I totally get it. You can't be to careful," He said, smiling at me. I lift my head up to meet his gaze.
"Thanks, Victor but I should go to my dorm room," I said, walking towards the door.
"No need, Miles. I found there is a rule that mates can't leave each other's side," He said, walking towards the desk.
"Mates? What are those?" I asked, looking confused.
"Wait no body told you about a mates. What kind of people don't tell their children about mates?" He yelled. I whimpered and back into a corner of the wall, "Sorry, Miles. I'm not mad at you," Victor said softly.
"My mom dead when I was born by hunters my dad dead the same way but when I was four. I was raised by my father's pack but they didn't really care to tell me anything," I mumbled. I felt a pair of arms wrapped around me.
"Sorry, Miles but Mates are people you spend the rest of your life with. In a way they are like a part of your soul," Victor whispered in my ear.
"Really?!" I said, getting a little excited then doubt set in. I would never have one of those, " It must be nice but I should go back to my room," I said.
"Miles, what wrong?" Victor asked, making me look at him.
"I would never get one of those because I'm a half breed," I said, trying to hold back the tears but it failed.
~Victor~
"Miles, it's okay but you do have one. I know it," I said, hugging Miles close to my chest. Miles's heart breaking cries. I don't know what to do but Miles needs me and I need him. I am his mate and I will prove it.
"How can you be sure that I have one," He sobbed.
"By proving it," I said, bring him closer and I lean down. I close the gape between us. Our lips met and it was the most softest thing that I've ever touched. I felt Miles completely melt in my arms. We pulled away.
"So, this what it means to have a mate or you're making it up," Miles said, backing away from me.
"I'm your mate and your mine," I said, moving closer, "Miles, please believe me."
"No, I got lied to, too many times," He said, backing away.
"Then why did you tell me that you feel safe and warm around me?" I asked, sitting down in a chair.
"I don't know," He said.
"Miles, I would never lie to you," I said, looking him in his beautiful red and blue eyes.
"How do I know that you are not lying to me now?" He asked, rubbing his arms. I got up and grabbed a blanket. I walked towards Miles and wrapped the blanket around him. I smiled at him which he smiled back.
"So, do you believe me now?" I asked, tilting my head to the right.
"Yeah but what about the 'Pure Bloods'," He said, making air quotation marks.
"I don't know to be honesty, " I said.
"So, I'm leaving here with you for how long?" Miles asked.
"Until I graduate which it would be the same year that you graduate. Come to think of it," I said, putting my pointer finger on my chin.
"Seriously?" Miles asked, crossing his arms. I nodded. Miles let out a puff of air.
"So, I will have someone bring your stuff here," I said, wrapping my arms around Miles.
"So, how did you found out that I was your mate or something?" He asked.
"Well, I started to feel comfortable around you and there was a doctor that I called," I answered, "Miles I want to know more about you," I said, as we both move to the bed.
"What you want to know?" He asked.
"Everything," I said.
"Okay but where to begin,"
