Mattie has been home for one month and seven days and within that time she has become a routine figure in the house.

It took me about two weeks to get used to her. To learn her habits. I thought I would never get used to another dog.

Now I'm so used to her, the honeymoon period is over. She gets on my nerves at some point every single day.

She has a million toys now. She knows "sit" but is otherwise clueless. She hasn't had accidents in the house in weeks. She consumes everything. The world is her buffet.

She finished her shots and has been able to take walks for about three weeks now. She is obsessed with them. When we say the word walk, she goes crazy.

She sleeps from mid-morning to mid-afternoon. The rest of her time is mostly spent finding inedible objects to eat. I walk her four miles a day and throw balls for 30-60 minutes. She is inexhaustible.

She's getting somewhat chill though. She likes to lay under our feet. She never begs at the dinner table.

She has a best friend named Coco who lives down the street. They tackle each other. She likes to chase cats. Her favorite thing is people.

Around 9:30 PM she heads upstairs and jumps in my bed to sleep. She wakes up before the roosters do.

She can jump over my head when I'm sitting on the floor.

She hasn't lost a single tooth yet so the teething is still a long battle to go.

She loves to look out doors and windows.

She has a collar engraved with her name now, and feels snazzy.
