Chapter 6: Before You Go 

"What the fuck just happened?" Chase asked as Elsa pulls her phone back into her chest her hand still shaking. "Elsa?" I say touching her shoulder making her look at me, her eyes filled with tears. "How did he find my father? How Jack?" She ask before she goes into my arms crying. I held her tight looking at my team and Cash. "Cash." I say but he was already nodding before turning to Ezra, "I'm joining this case, Elsa is an old friend of mine and Jack, I'm part of this now." Cash says locking eyes with Ezra. I could tell he wanted to tell him off but suddenly he turned his head, "I guess I really have no choice do I?" I was kind of shocked hearing him say that, I wanted to ask why but Cash was already smile, "I'll go tell my boss then." Cash say looking at Elsa and I, "I'll be back in a bit."

Once Cash left I look at Ezra, who was already looking at Molly, "Molly can you run that video and see if you can where that farmhouse is?" Molly turned to Elsa with a warm smile, "Don't worry, we'll save your friend and father, it's okay." Molly says her hand out. Elsa looked at it before she looked at her phone. I know she was scared to let go of the one thing she had control over. Slowly she starts to hand over her phone until her phone went off again making her jump as she looks down.

"It's my father." She says. "It might be Jade, answer it and put it on speaker." I say. She does as I ask and answers it, "Dad?" She says. "Is that who you were hoping for?" We hear a voice but I couldn't recognize it. "Who is this? Where is my father?" Elsa ask her voice shaking. "You didn't answer my question Violet." The voice say making Elsa freeze. "How did you...." "I know I'm on speaker, I need you to take me off speaker." The voice say. I lock eyes with Elsa and was about to shake my head when I stop and see her eyes glaze over. "Elsa..." I whispers as she take the call off speaker and put it to her ear. "Fuck Elsa, hang up." I say touching her arm but she doesn't react to me.

"Elsa hang up." Ezra says walking over to her but she just turned away from him. "What happened, who the hell called her?" Chase ask as we all circle Elsa. "It has to be the bastard who did all of this." I didn't know what to do until I see Elsa drop to the ground crying making me fall to my knees dropping her phone on the phone. She quickly put her hands over her ears as tears come down her face. "I'll be a good girl daddy... I'm sorry I didn't listen." I heard Elsa cry. That saying... She's said that before I remember hearing her say that before. "Elsa?" I whisper touching her shoulder making her gasp before she looks at me, her eyes back to normal even with tears in them. "What happened?" She ask her voice shaking. I look up at Ezra and Molly who both looked scared and nervous. "What's the last thing you remember?" I hear Nikia ask. Elsa moved her hands away from her ears as she picked up her phone, "I remember getting the phone call... the caller, he called me by my old name."

"You don't remember anything after that?" I ask. She shook her head, "No.. But... I feel... scared. And It's not the fear of being stalked or targeted, it's the fear I had that night you come over on graduation." She says looking up at me. "Do you remember?" She ask. Of course I did...

It was the last night where her father almost broke her, the last night I saw her.

"No Cash, it's fine, I'll get her." I say on my phone as I walked to Violet's house. "I know you're her boyfriend but I live closer and you have to get Sally out of the house first right? It just makes more sense if I pick her up." I answer as Cash tried to fight his way to pick up Violet, not knowing that most likely tonight at the party, she was going to leave him. It hurt my heart knowing Violet was leaving and I was the only one who knew. "Yeah, yeah we'll see you soon." I answer as I hang up and sigh, that was a pain.

I wanted to warn Cash about Violet leaving but I didn't know how, and I feel like if I was the one who did it, Violet would never forgive me. I was getting closer to Violet's house knowing I needed to call her first, no one has really been inside her house, she was assumed of her father, of her life. I guess I was the only one who knew that. I listen as the phone rings three times before I hear her sweet voice, "Hey! It's Violet, Sorry I couldn't get to the phone, but lets be real here, did you really think I would answer? Just text me." I hear the beep making me roll my eyes, "Violet, I'm outside your house, come out." I say and hang up. I sat down on her steps waiting, thinking. I couldn't get that talk she had with me last night out of my head.

She knew, she knew I loved her... And yet... she still picked Cash over me. I didn't know how I should feel. My thoughts got broken when I heard a loud crash coming from inside the house. I quickly stand and walk to the door, "Violet?" I yell knocking but didn't hear anything. I felt a pit in my stomach, something is wrong. I back up and start to go around the back trying to find a window or another to get in.

Not long, I saw a window that was cracked up making it an easy way in. I already knew what I would tell her father if he saw me, that I heard a crash and already called the cops, which was only a half lie. Once inside, I watched my step, the house was destroyed. There was beer cans everywhere, paper and food. It looked like someone was trying to clean up but just gave up. I heard a loud bang before a cry making me start walking again. "You stupid bitch! You think just because you're eighteen that you can leave me!?" I hear a man yell before I hear a slap. "No... that's not what I was thinking daddy..." I hear making me freeze, that voice... It was Violet.

"Why do you keep lying to me? You're just like your mother! Just a stupid slut like she was!" I hear the man say. I don't know what changed but it was like I finally snapped out of being scared and pulled my phone out. I needed to call someone, anyone. But if I call, they'll hear my voice. I quickly texted Sally.

"Sally, call the police and send them to Violet's place. Don't ask question and just do it!"

I put my phone back in my pocket as I hear footsteps coming close to me. "Daddy... Please." I hear Violet beg as I hear a sound, like a whip making my heart drop. "You know the rules Violet... Bad girls, get the belt." "No!" I hear Violet scream. I start to move my feet trying to find her. "I'll be a good girl daddy! I'm sorry I didn't listen!" I hear Violet scream before I hear that whip sound again. "Violet!" I scream knowing it was a dumb idea but I didn't care as I turn the corner to see Violet on the ground, her arm held up, blocking her face and a man who I'm guessing is her father holding a belt over his head, ready to hit her again.

"Who the fuck are you?" The man yells lowing the belt giving Violet enough time to stand and run to me. She quickly grabbed my hand and pulls me. "Violet! Get your ass back here now!" The man yells behind us as we run outside. We kept running even when I heard the police siren behind us. "Violet... The cops..." "They won't help." She cuts me off. I don't argue as we keep running, I already knew where she was taking me.

We were right back at the bridge that Violet took me to last night. Violet didn't let go of my hand the whole time even as we sat on the bridge listening to the creek below us. We sat in silents, I felt my phone going off in my pocket but I didn't move, I didn't even try to pick it up. I just looked at Violet, I haven't seen her face yet, even when she was getting hurt, I didn't see her face. "Vi..." I whispers finally not liking the silents anymore. But Violet just stayed quite as she kept her head down, her hair covering it. I raise my hand and touch her cheek making her flinch, "It's me Violet, come on, please look at me." I ask trying not to push it but.. I had to see.

I hear her sigh but she finally pushed her hair back and I can already see a bruise on her cheek where my hand is. And then she turns her face and I felt to many emotions at once, anger, rage, heartache, pain. Violet's left side of her face was beaten up. She had a black eye, a fat lip, and her bruised cheek to the point I thought it was broken. And her left arm, it was already starting to bruise form her father hitting her with that belt.

"It looks worse then it is." She says trying to smile but winces from the pain. "Violet, how long has he been doing this?" I ask cupping her face. "He normally doesn't hit my face... I guess I pissed him off tonight." She says touching my hand, her hand was shaking though. "Jesus... How haven't I.. Or even Cash not seen this? How have we not of noticed?" I ask making her smile, "I'm a great actress, and make up is a wonderful cover huh?" She says but tears start to fall down her face. I quickly pull her in for a hug. I never saw her like this before, crying. Even when her mother left, she didn't cry.

I held her as she cried, trying to figure out a way to help, and I knew there was only one option. And I knew it was going to kill me.

"Hey." I hear as I look up to see Violet looking at me before she sits down next to me. "Did you get your ticket?" I ask making her nod. She was wearing my old sunglasses along with my baseball cap hiding her face. "Thank you... for the money, I'll pay..." "Don't." I answer a little more harsher then I should of. "Jackson..." she whispers making me squeeze my fist. "You're going to start a new life after this, I don't want to know where you're going, because then I'll just want to follow you there." I answer. "And I can't have do that." She says making me nod, "No, you can't. Even though... I want to. I want to follow you, I want... you." I say feeling my cheeks get warm.

I feel Violet grab my hand holding it tight. "I will... Never know, how to replay you Jack. But if you care for me, you will listen to me." She says making me nod, "What?" I ask. "You will go to join the academy, you will be the best F.B.I agent ever and you... You're going to marry Sally or anyone other then me." She says. I quickly let go of her hand, "What if I don't want anyone else though Violet... I love..." "You can't!" She screams and I saw some people stop and look at us.

The world around us stopped as I took a deep breath. "I am not good for you Jack, I told you that. Is this what you want to deal with everyday?" She ask taking off her glasses for me to see her eyes and face again. "Deal with? Violet, I would never do this to you. I would protect you." I say making her laugh, "Guys like you, don't deserve broken girls like me. This is what I deserve." She answers. I was about to talk her out of it until I hear over the loud speakers a train was about to leave.

I see Violet put her glasses back on and stand up. "That's my train number." She answers starting to walk away from me. I quickly stand, "Violet!" I yell making her stop. I walk to her, "Before you go." I say as I  grab her arms gently, "Was there something I could've said to make your heart beat better?" I ask. I hear her make a small laugh before she turns and faces me. "You were the only one who made my heart beat Jackson." She whispers. I place my forehead to hers she felt so small as I pull in her my arms giving her a hug. I could tell from her body shaking, she was trying not to cry again in front of me.

"Final boarding for train 34." I hear again making Violet push me back before she gets on her tiptoes, wrapping her arms around my neck and kisses me. I pull her in close again, making the kiss deepen. I wanted the kiss to last forever but I knew... It wouldn't.

As I feel Violet pull back, she places her hand on my cheek, "Please.... Just take my advice Jackson." She says with a broken smile. 

And with that... She was gone.

Elsa was holding a warm cup of tea in her hands as I sat across from her, we had two hours left to find Anna and her father. But since that phone call, Elsa has been quite, she won't even look at me. My team right now was working on a way to try and find them, it was my job right now to keep Elsa company. But I think right now, she wanted to be alone. I didn't know what to say to her to help her. I place my back against the wall taking a deep breath, whoever this fucker is... He knows more about Elsa then even I do. And that scares me, if Connolly is behind this, he has to be working with someone.

"You know..." I hear finally breaking me from my thoughts and looking at Elsa. But she wasn't looking at me, she was looking at the wall. "I still think about that night... Graduation." I move from the wall and join her on the couch. "I was... so ready to leave, to leave my father. To finally not have to hide the fact that he beat me." She says her voice cracking a little. "I wasn't going to tell him I was leaving, I was just going to have my stuff packed and just go, but... He was looking through my phone when I was getting ready to meet up with you. Saw our text about me leaving."

I felt a pain in my heart, I know it wasn't but... Did I do this to Elsa? "He started to yell, scream at me. Telling me I was just like my mom, that I can't leave him. That he was in control." I look down at Elsa's hands to see them shaking. "I... Hated being controlled by him, by anyone. I finally broke out of it when I ran away but now... I feel like I'm trapped in that cage again... That I'm a bird who people can walk by and watch me do a performance."

I control this marionette. I hear play in my head, it was just like my dream. Out of know where I feel a hand grab mine making me look at Elsa who was finally looking at me. "Do you see me like that?" She ask. I quickly shook my head, "No, of course not. You aren't a bird, or a puppet, you're... Elsa." I answer. I see her smile, that sweet smile she would give me back when we were teenagers. "Back then... Was there anything I could've said to make it all stop hurting?" I ask making her raise an eyebrow. "I just.... It kills me how your mind can make you feel so worthless." I say touching her cheek like she did to me before she left me.

She places her hand on my hand making me freeze, "Whenever we were together, I never faked it. My smile, how I talked with you, our friendship, it wasn't fake." She says making me grab her hand and squeeze it, "I know that Elsa. But I just... I don't want you to ever feel that way again, to feel... Worthless." I answer feeling her move closer to me. "Worthless, you would make me feel like I'm worth something?" she ask. I didn't know know what to say to her, something in her voice changed.  "Have... have your feelings for me changed?" She ask making me stiffen up, I wasn't ready for her to ask me that.

"My feelings?" I ask. "You told me you loved me." She says moving closer, she was almost in my lap making me push my back to the couch. "You never let me say it." I answer quietly making her smile. "You're avoiding the question." She says finally on top of me pinning me to the couch. I don't know why I couldn't  move, to push her off. "Is this what you really want Elsa?" I ask making her freeze and that's when I put my arm on her shoulder, "I'm still that guy who likes relationships, not one night stands, no calling you in the morning. You just... You just lost people, you have more people in danger, is this what you really want right now?" I ask.

I hated myself saying that, but I had to say it, even if my other head was saying otherwise. I watch as she slowly sits back on her knees placing her hands on her lap. "I just want to not think... To forget right now." She answers. Looking at her right now, she almost looked like a kid who just got told no for getting a new toy. I place my hand on her cheek, "You... Have no idea how badly I want to do that. But we both know, we'll regret it by sleeping together. That's not going fix anything." I answer. I see her nod as she moves some hair behind her ear. "I know... You're right. I shouldn't use you like that. It's unfair." She answers making smile a little, I would let her use me no matter what. "And... I know you still love Sally." She says.

Sally... What would she think of this. I thought looking at Elsa, Sally was always jealous of her, and I think she knew I loved Violet and I wonder.. Did she feel like second best? Did I love Sally like I love Elsa?

"Can I at less do one thing?" She ask breaking me from my thoughts. I raise an eyebrow, "Wh..." Before I could ask, I feel her cup my face and pull me in as she kisses me. I feel my eyes widen before I slowly close them wrapping my arms around her pulling her close. I was losing control, but I didn't want to stop. I pushed her on the couch letting me be on top but I didn't break from her lips. I wanted everything from her, I wanted to feel her, to keep her close to me. As I deepen the kiss, I hear a knock at the door breaking the spell as Elsa and I break apart and move away from her as Cash walked in. "Hey guys I..." Cash starts before he stops and looks at us.

"Did I walk into something?" He ask giving us a smirk. I rub the back of my neck, "No of course not..." I answer before standing up, "Did they find something?" I ask as Cash looked at me and Elsa, I could tell form his eyes, he knew something was going to happen. "Ezra wants us in the meeting room." Cash finally said making Elsa stand up and walk out without saying anything. I sigh and start to follow before Cash stops me. "Dude, I would take care of that." He says making me raise and eyebrow before his eyes pointed down. I followed to see you could clearly see how excited I was with Elsa.

I growled at myself as I looked at Cash. "Are you sure I didn't walk in on something?" Cash ask giving me a smirk. "Just leave." I say sitting down making him laugh, "Don't stay to long." He say closing the door.

I have never been more assumed of myself.

"Thanks for joining us Dream." I hear Ezra says as I sat down next to Elsa and Cash. "Sorry sir." I answer. I could feel Cash's eyes on me with a smirk and Elsa's eyes on me with worry. "Are you okay?" I hear Elsa whisper close to my ear making me flinch. "I'm fine..." I whisper back trying to hide my face knowing how hot it is right now. "Molly thinks she found something." Ezra says making me turn to Ezra happy he didn't hear Elsa and I. Molly stands up and walks up to our screen before she pushes a button on the remote showing an old farm house. "I know this place." Elsa says making me look at her. "This was the first photo shot Anna and I did together, it was when we first became friends." She answer. "I can't believe I didn't think about it until now." She answers and everyone started to move. "Jack you stay here with..." "Not happening." Elsa and I said at the same time making me look at her.

"Like hell I'm staying here, Jade has my friend and my father, if I don't go, he might kill them both." She snaps and I couldn't help but smile a bit, she was so full of fire. "We have to keep you safe." Nikia said touching her shoulder but Elsa just pushed it off, "I'm safer with you then staying here. I'm going." She says and starts to walk out of the room. Nikia looks at me, "You should marry that woman." She answers before following Elsa out of the room with everyone else leaving Cash and I alone to follow in the back.

"What Nikia said.." I start but I could tell Cash didn't want to hear it. "I've moved on Jack, and I know you and Vi... Elsa had a thing for each other, I was just happy to have her for the time being, plus I'm happy now with Mimi." Cash says giving me a smile. I felt better with him saying that, but at the same time, I couldn't get involved with Elsa, not like this. Right now..

We had to save more people and catch whoever is doing this.

The car didn't even come to a full stop before Elsa was out of the car. "Elsa!" I scream following her as she ran to the farmhouse. I grab her hand quickly before she could open the door. "Are you insane!? You have to stay with me!" I yell seeing fear in her eyes, "He has Anna!" She says pushing me opening the door. We look inside to see just what we saw in the video, a huge meat grinder with Anna and Elsa's father hanging over it. "Elsa! you came!" We hear a voice as we look up to see Jade standing on the higher railing. "And you brought some friends huh? Dr. Dream, I should of known you'd come with her, you never leave her side, do you?" Jade laughs.

"Jade... Please let them go." Elsa bags. "Oh I'm sorry love, I can't do that, you see... The master wouldn't like that." Jade answer walking on the railing. "The master has worked hard on getting this game, two people you care for." Jade says. Everyone was on edge as we followed his actions, our hands close to our guns just in case. "What does your master want?" I ask making Jade stop and look down at us. "He wants Elsa to choose." He answer giving us a dark sharp smile.

I didn't like how he said that and that smile, I didn't like that smile either. "Choose... What?" Elsa ask her voice shaking. "Glade you asked." Jade says as he pushes a button and the meat grinder started up making Anna scream. "Ah, it looks like our guest finally woke up." Jade laughs. "Elsa!" Anna screams making Elsa cover her mouth, "Anna... It's okay, we'll get you down." Elsa screams looking at me. "Please save her." She whispers. "Violet." I hear and I see Elsa tension up. We both look to see her father looking down at us. "Violet... Is that you?" He says. I look back at Elsa to see her hands shaking. "Oh father is awake now too! How long has it been since you last say him Elsa? Or should I call you Violet?" Jade ask.

"What the hell is going on? Violet.. What did you do!?" Elsa's father yells. Just like what happened on graduation day, Elsa shut down, she quickly hugged herself, "I didn't... I didn't do this." Elsa whispered. I turned back to face Jade my eyes narrowed, he was enjoying this. "Bullshit! You screwed someone over again and got me wrapped up in it!" Her father yells making her flinch. "Now now father dear, let's not get ahead of ourselves, we still have to play our game." Jade says as he hits a button next to him. Slowly Anna and Elsa's father slowly started to lower down to the grinder.

"I would say you have five minutes to choose Elsa, save your friend or save your father." Jade says. "Shit." Ezra says pulling out his gun making everyone else follow with including me. "Stop this Jade now." Ezra says pointing his gun at Jade. But Jade just smiled before he started to laugh, "You really think that'll scare me?" He places his hand on a handle, "If I pull this handle, both of the people Elsa cares for will die, quickly. And if you shot me, the grinder has a lock on it, you won't be able to break it fast enough to save either of them." Jade says.

By the look on his face, I knew he wasn't lying. "What do we do Ezra?" Chase ask. I was wondering the same thing, how could we save both of them. I looked at Elsa who was still white in the face, scared. "Tick tock Elsa, pick." Jade said with a laugh. "Violet you get me out of here now!" I hear Elsa's father scream. "Don't yell at her! She's already scared." Anna screams at Elsa's father making him look at her, "You don't know anything about our family bitch! You really think she'll pick you over blood?" Her father yells as her looks back at Elsa, "I control her." Elsa's father says making Elsa's head shot up locking eyes with her father.

I see him smile, "Isn't that right Violet?" I look at Elsa to see her eyes narrow. "Anna." She says making my eyes widen, "I choose Anna." She screams and I quickly grab her pulling her close, "Elsa, his tricking you, you are playing right in his hands, please... Don't do this." She turns her eyes to me and I felt my heart stop, her eyes were darken, like she has been waiting for this moment. "Please... Don't make me say it again." Elsa says.

"She doesn't have to." I hear making me look to see Jade behind the rope that hold Elsa's father. "Say goodbye." Jade says as he pulls the rope close to him and cuts it.

Hey guys!!! I know, I know, it's been a long time since I updated! I am really sorry for that. It's been a little crazy. First of all, my husband is home! For those who didn't know, my husband was gone for 6 months and it was awful. But his home now so we did a lot of family time. Second, I am back at work, and I have been working my ass off so when I'n not working, or hanging out with my family, I'm sleeping. And last, I have finally found out what is wrong with me.

So for those again who didn't know, I was seeing doctors a lot during the time I was in lock down to figure out why what was wrong with me. I was in a lot of pain, my body felt like it was getting stabbed by hot needles and I couldn't even write, pick up my child and some days couldn't walk. So after months and months of test and waiting to see a doctor, I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. So that big word pretty much means my nerves hate me and are now attacking my body. But I am on medication, i am on a life change and have been working on whatever I can do to make myself not hurt as much. I have my good days and my bad days but I'm getting through it.

Okay enough with my life. I hope you enjoy this chapter! It took a lot of time to write it haha. But it was a lot of fun to write. I'm hoping I can do a lot more writing once I get back into a routine again. thank you all so much for the patience and your comments, I know I don't reply to a lot of them, and if i do it's super late but i do read ALL of your comments, ALL of your messages and I love seeing them! I love reading them! So please please keep that up because it makes me so happy and it gives me the strength to get better so I can update for you guys!
