Chapter 4: CopyCat

I walked into the police station to have eyes on Elsa and I. I had a feeling that was going to happen, seeing a famous model in a station only wearing sweats and a sweatshirt, yet she still had a beauty to her, she almost shined. "Elsa!" I hear making me turn to see a man in his mid 50's running to us. He had slick back black hair that had some gray going through it and he had deep blue eyes. "Manger Kim." Elsa said with a smile as she took the hug from this man. "God I was so worried about you, are you alright?" He ask pull her back cupping her face. "I'm fine, shaken up but okay." Elsa says before she turned to me. "Jackson, this is my manger Lee Kim. Manger Kim this is Dr. Jack Dream." Lee Kim grabbed my hand shaking it, "The man who works for the BAU?" He ask making me nod, "Yes sir."

"You actually came... I didn't... I didn't think you would." He answer letting go of my hand. "Of course I came... Why wouldn't I?" I ask. Kim looked over at Elsa who was looking at me. "Well with your relationship with my Elsa, I was worried." He answers making me raise an eyebrow, "I'm guessing Elsa told you about our past?" I ask making him nod. "I tell Manger Kim everything, his like another father to me." Elsa adds. Kim smiled as he put his arm around Elsa's shoulder, "My husband and I took care of her when she first joined the business. It was actually Jimmy's idea to change her name. Even thought I still think your old name would of been just fine." Kim said but Elsa shrugged her shoulders, "I didn't need people from my past to find me." She answers.

I understood what she was saying, she had some ex boyfriend who wouldn't kill to be with her, and even now that she was famous... It made her an easier target. "Mr. Kim, do you mind if I take Elsa to get some coffee, she'll need to be question about tonight. And same with you." I answer. Kim and Elsa both gave me a confused and shocked looked. "Questioned... But why am I..." "Jackson is this necessary?" Elsa interrupts. God I wanted to tell her no but... I had to make sure. "I'm sorry Elsa, I have to. But if it makes you both feel better, I don't think you're a suspect Mr. Kim, it's just protocol." I say giving a small but serious smile. I knew Elsa wanted to fight me on this but Kim put his hand on her shoulder, "Don't make his job harder Elsa. Everything is fine." He answers making her smile before turn back to me, "Okay, I'll take that coffee now I guess." She says and starts to walk off.

"Dr. Dream." I hear looking back at Lee Kim. "You're going to protect her right?" He ask. I lock eyes with him to see his movie play, the first day he and Elsa meet. Dinners at his house with his husband, I even saw that they had a son he may be five or six in that memory. Everything I saw didn't lead for Lee Kim to be dangerous, he and even his husband truly loved Elsa. I blinked "Of course I will, it's my job." I answer started to walk away until I feel him grab my wrist. "I understand it's your job, but she is my daughter." I hear him say behind me making me turn to see a look of a worried father.

"Mr. Kim. I can feel and see how much you love Elsa. And I will do anything in my power to protect her." I answer making him let go of my wrist. "I'm sorry." He says but I just shook it off, "I don't know how much you know about Elsa's past but I will say this, her father, wouldn't of cared about this. He would of just told her to work harder or to get over it, that it was her fault. You, you're just her manger and yet you treat her like a daughter, like family." I say seeing him smile "I see her as family." He answer and I nod my head, "I know, so please do your job and keep her busy, to keep her mind off of this, and I'll do my job and keep her safe and catch this fucker." I answer only to see him laugh but nod, "Thank you." He answers.

"Mr. Lee Kim." I hear to see a police officer walking up to us, "Are you ready for us to take your statement?" The officer asked. "I am. Thank you." Kim says turning back to me, "We'll see each other again soon I think Dr. Dream." I nod, "yes I'll be in touch." I answer as Mr. Kim walked off and I walked off the other way, it was time to talk to Shay.

I walked down one of the hallways that had the holding rooms and outside one of the doors was Ezra talking to Molly. "Molly." I say having them both turn to me. "Did you find anything about Jade Shay?" I ask. "Not much unfortunate... He has a clean record." Molly answers disappointed in herself I could see. Molly didn't like bad news, she wanted everyone to be happy and bring bad news to a case made it feel like she didn't do her job right. "There's nothing to be done about it then." Ezra says touching Molly's shoulder making her smile a little. "I don't think his as innocent as his record shows though. I saw him making a key for Elsa's house." I say.

"Well if that doesn't say stalker I don't know what dose." I hear behind me to see Cash walking up to us. "Cash what are you doing here?" I ask. "I was actually just dropping off some paper work and over heard your talk. Sorry." He adds looking at Ezra. Ezra and Cash never saw eye to eye on anything. It didn't help that Cash flirted with Nikia in front of Ezra. "Agent Carter, we don't need a gunsmith for this case." Ezra hissed folding his arms. "Right, sorry. Hey, how's Nikia doing? It's been awhile since I've seen her." Cash says slowly making me close my eyes, knowing a fight was coming.

"Look here..." Ezra starts as I jump in front of him and Cash, "Ezra, can I go talk to Jade? I might be able to see more out of him if I talk to him." I say quickly. I knew he heard me but he keep his eyes on Cash and from what I could tell in Ezra's eyes Cash was just making a face that was making it worse. Finally Ezra looks at me and steps back, "I'll be in the other room listening." He answers before walking away with Molly right behind him. I turn to Cash, "Why do you do this? You know he likes Nikia and you have Mimi." I say.

"I can't help it Jack, his fun to tease, he gets so worked up." Cash says with a smile making me glare at him, "You're a pain in the ass." I growl only to have him throw his arm around my shoulder, "True, but I'm your best friend, you're stuck with me for life." He answers making me roll my eyes but smile, he was right. "So is this the model case? Is this Jade guy her stalker?" He ask. "It's a long story." I sigh moving my fingers through my hair, "I'd rather not talk about it right now, I have to go talk to Jade now." I say as I walk into the room to see Jade with his hands on the table and another man next to him, I'm guessing was his lawyer.

"Hello Mr. Shay." I say sitting down making him straighten up. "Look, I already talk to your boss, I'm innocent." Jade says. "True but I'm very very good at bring people true selfs out." I say with a smile. "That sounds like a treat Mr..." the lawyer says. "Dr. Dream. And I'm guessing you're Jade's lawyer right?" I say. "John Smith." The lawyer says making trying not to laugh, what a original lawyer name. "I want to talk to you about the key you had made for Miss. Frost's house." I say looking at Jade. "Mr. Shay says he didn't make a spare key for Miss. Frost's house, she gave him a key." Smith said. "Right, I bet he did say that. Unfortunately Miss. Frost has told me herself that no one has a spare key for her house. Not even her manger, so how is it that a bodyguard like you has a spare?" I ask locking eyes with him.

I watched the movie play, he was in his room looking at a picture of Elsa and from what I was seeing he was jacking off to her picture. I blink wishing I didn't just see that. "Mr. Shay, did you know Miss. Frost before you were hired?" I ask. "No, I never heard of her before." "I feel a lie in that statement Mr. Shay. I think, you knew who she was from magazines, commercials, you've seen her on billboards I bet." I say and I could see Jade's hands shaking. "I mean.. I might of saw her picture...." "And is that why you pleasure yourself with her picture every night?" I ask making his face go white. "How did..." "Don't answer that Jade, his trying to get under your skin." Smith quickly says.

"I'm already under his skin. You've been sending letters to Elsa Frost, pictures of her and her boyfriend, you killed the Isles didn't you?" I ask making Jade shake his head, "I didn't kill anyone! Yes I love Elsa! I mean who wouldn't!? She's hot, and when I heard she needed a bodyguard yeah I jumped to the chase to get it! I'm not her stalker and I didn't kill anyone!" Jade yells. "You told me just this morning how Hans wasn't right for Elsa! Isn't that right Mr. Shay!" I yell back making him slam his hands on the table. "That doesn't mean I killed him!" He yells. I was waiting for him to lock eyes with me again. I know my sight was random but I knew I just needed to use it one more time to see him in that tree or giving Hans a drug to make him do what he did. But then I heard the door open making my eyes go to the day to see Cash. "Hey, umm your boss need you outside, I'll take care of this." Cash says as I turn back to Jade who was siting down again and not looking at me.

I growl as I step out but close the door before Cash could go in. "I almost had him Cash... I just needed a few more minutes and I could of used my sight on him." I hiss letting him know I was pissed. "Dude, I wasn't trying to stop you. But... A girl is looking for you." He says quickly. "What? I thought you said Ezra..." "I didn't want to say who it really was incase he is the stalker. Right?" Cash ask making me calm down, he was right. "Yeah... Thanks. Sorry for... Snapping at you." I say. He grabs my shoulder squeezing it a little, "You need to relax man. You know I'm on your side." He says and I could feel more relax again, Cash was my best friend, he wouldn't do anything that would hurt me.

"I know, I better go check on Elsa." I say and start to walk away before I stop and turn to him, "Hey, you should come meet her someday." I say with a smile only to have him give me a confusing look. "Okay?" he says before he opens the door and walks in.

I walk into a room to see Elsa with Ezra, Molly and Kat. "Kat, I didn't know you'd be here so fast." I say closing the door behind me. "I'm very good at my job Dr. Dream plus this is our number one case right now, everything will be fast." Then I see her look at Elsa, "And I won't lie, I really wanted to meet Elsa Frost." She says looking at Elsa who smiled at Kat, "Always happy to meet a fan." She says only to make Kat even more excited. "Kat." Ezra says hoping to stop the fangirling that was happening, "Can you please tell us what you found." He says making Kat became serious, "Right, well, we didn't find any drugs in both of the Isles."

"How is that possible? His pupils were dilated like he was on something right?" Ezra ask making her nod. "But with Miss. Hunt's help, we may of find something." "What did you find Molly?" I ask. Molly sat up a little more holding some files in her hands. "I read some reports from a few years back, have you guys ever heard of the serial killer The Therapist?" She ask and I feel my body freeze as I look at Elsa who almost looked sick. Ezra looked at me a look of concern on his face. "Did she hit a nerve?" Kat asked seeing us all looking upset, like we've seen a ghost. "What about him?" I asked, lucky for us, Kat and Molly didn't know our history with Dr. Connolly.

"Well Dr. Connolly used hypnosis to make his victims kill themself." Molly continues places the file making me look, I never saw the victims that Connolly killed before he killed Sally. But I could still see her face, the look on her face before she jumped. I looked at the faces on everyone, all their eyes were open and all of their eyes were dilated. "I don't understand, how could one man kill these many people?" Elsa ask. She didn't know much about Connolly but I did. He was like me, he was special, just like he said before he was thrown in jail. "Hypnosis is very tricky, if you learn it and work on it for a long time, you can make anyone do anything. And Connolly, he mastered it. He got a thrill killing people, seeing people take their own lives."

"He didn't kill those people, he put it in their mind to kill themselves..." I say and I could feel all eyes on me but I just kept looking at the pictures, and one of them... Was Sally. I picked it up and looked at it closely, after five years, her face still haunted me. It was like I was living that night all over again. "Do you think... Connolly did this?" I asked putting the picture face down. "Connolly is locked up, there is no way he could do this." Ezra says. "Then this is a copycat..." Elsa says and we all look at her. "A copycat who is after me..." she says and I could see tears fall down her eyes as she covered her mouth, her body starting to shake.

Almost like my body was moving on it's own I pushed the table out of the way and grabbed Elsa holding her in my arms as she starts to cry. I looks at Ezra and he already knew what I was thinking...

I wasn't going to let Elsa out of my sight.

"Are you sure this is okay?" Elsa asked as I parked my car in front of an apartment building, the sun was starting to raise as I get out of my car, Elsa joining me. "It's fine. I think you staying with me is better then you getting another bodyguard, and I already got the okay form Ezra." I say with a smile as I grab the bag of clothes I grab for Elsa from her house. "But do you have enough room?" She ask making me laugh as we started to walk in. "I will sleep on the couch Elsa, it's not a problem, stop acting like it is." I say opening the door for her. But she stops and just looks at the building.

"Look, I I know it's not the best building but it's a lot better inside. It was remodeled a few years ago. And you know the outside is kind of hysterical you know?" I say but she just shook her head, "No it's perfect. I like it. It's like... It's telling a story." She says with a smile making me smile as I reopen the door for her. She steps in as I get in front of her leading the way. I felt her follow behind me as we go up one flight of stairs. "Sorry no elevator." I say. "No this is good exercise." Elsa jokes but I loved it.

We walked down a hallways until we reached my apartment. As I start to open the door, I hear the door next to me open up. I look to see my neighbor open the door holding her baby in her arms. She turns to me and smiles, "Hola Señor Dream." Miss. Rosa Mounties  says. She was an late twenties Latino woman with short black hair and deep brown eyes. "Hola Señora Rosa, you're up early." I say fully turning to her. Rosa and her husband Hunk have been the best neighbors I ever had. I gave them a spare key in case they needed anything when I was gone but instead of using it for that reason, they made sure I had food in my fridge. On nights I came home late, I would see dinner and lunch in my fridge with a note from Rosa.

"Si, Anna Marie didn't want to sleep in today I guess." Rosa says looking down at a small three month old baby with some black hair on her head and just like her mother, brown eyes. "She's beautiful." I hear next to me to see Elsa looking down at Anna Marie. "Gracias, I'm sorry I don't think I've seen you in the building before, did you just move in?" Rosa asked. "Oh no, Elsa Frost this is Rosa Mounties, Rosa this is Elsa." I say as Elsa shakes her hand, "It's nice to meet you." Elsa says but she just keep looking at Anna Marie. She always had a soft spot for babies. Rosa followed Elsa's eyes and smiled, "Would you like to hold her?" Rosa asked making Elsa's face lighten up. "Can I?" She ask.

Rosa nods as she hands over Anna Marie who coos once Elsa snuggles up with her. I remembered when we were kids, Elsa always told me how she was going to be a mother one day, and she was going to have five kids. I thought she was crazy at the time but seeing her hold Anna Marie, I can picture her being a mother but I could see myself in that picture with her. I quickly push the thought away, I needed to remember that she just saw her boyfriend die and she still had a stalker out there, she was not in the right place for an old friend to tell her he had feelings for her.

"Elsa, why don't you take Anna Marie for a walk around the first floor, sometimes that helps." Rosa says. Elsa looks up at me, "Is that alright?" She ask. "Yeah, just stay on the first floor like Rosa said." She nods and starts to walk off talking to Anna Marie. I could feel Rosa's eyes on me making me turn to her, "What?" I ask. "Who is she?" She ask giving me a look. I cross my arms over my chest, "We've friends form when we were kids." "Just friends?" Rosa ask and I know my cheeks were red, "Can you not do that." I say making her laugh, "I couldn't help it. I never seen you bring a girl home before." She says moving a piece of her hair behind her ear.

"Rosa... Is Hank still working nights?" I ask. "No, he went back to mornings. His still sleeping right now. " She says before she looks at me. "Jack are you not telling me something?" She ask. Rosa and her family knew what I did for a living but I also didn't tell them everything. It was to keep them safe, I cared for that family almost like they were my own. "Elsa is going to be living with me for awhile, she's part of a case I'm working on. But this case... It's dangerous and I know I'm putting you in danger just being living close to you." I say. "You don't need to go into detail, we'll keep the doors locked and I'll make sure Hank stays on mornings." she says and I nod, "Thank you, I just... I don't want you guys to get hurt." I say before I feel her hug me, "You have a big heart Jackson." She says before she pulls back giving me a smile only a mother could give.

Rosa turns looking behind her, "Did your friend steal my child?" Rosa joked making me laugh, "No, I think she's just taking her time, shall we go find them?" I ask as we start to walk where Elsa last was. Not long, we found Elsa on the floor holding Anna Marie, both asleep. "I knew she was tried, I didn't think she was this tried." I say bending down to Elsa. "I thought holding Anna Marie would keep her calm, holding a baby can relax anyone." Rosa says as she picks up her child and I pick up Elsa. I feel her dig her head into my neck tickling me a little. "She seems relaxed with you." Rosa says doing the mother bounce keeping her child asleep.

"I'm relaxed around her too." I say looking down at Elsa. "I would keep her close Jackson." Rosa says as she starts to walk away leaving Elsa and I alone. I look back down at the sleeping beauty before I feel a smile on my face,

"I plan on it."
