Chapter 2: Ghost From My Past

I parked in front of an old building in downtown as I see people outside most likely getting ready for tonight show. Along way here, I listen to interviews with this Elsa Frost, even her voice sounded familiar to me, I just couldn't figure out where. But the more I listen to her interviews, the more I felt like I was getting to know her, she seemed like a down to earth girl who loved what she was doing and was popular to everyone around her. Looks alone I can see why she had a stalker, and just hearing more about her, it was hard this was the first. I reach the front door to see a big man watching me. "Hello." I say as I pull my badge out showing the man who I was. "I'm Dr. Jack Dream, I'm here to see Elsa Frost." I say. "Why do you want Elsa?" I hear behind me making me turn to see a woman wearing a jacket and some sweatpants, her strawberry blonde hair in a high pony with a bag over her shoulder.

I show this woman my badge, "I work for the BAU." I answer as the woman looks at my badge closely before she sighs with relief, "Thank god you came." She says stepping besides me, "I'll take it from her Craig." The woman says to the man making him nod as he lets us both in. I nod my thanks to Craig and continued to follow the woman in. "I didn't catch your name." I say putting my badge away. "Oh I'm Anna, Anna Sun." She says turning her head to me with a smile. "And what is your relationship with Elsa?" I ask trying to get as much out of her as I can. "She's my best friend. She's almost like a big sister to me." Anna says as she slows down so we're walking side by side.

"She's actually the reason I have this job, she saw me I did my first photo shoot and told my manger she wanted to have me as her stage partner in a commercial she was in." Anna says with a smile, "We've been inspectable ever since." I could tell by her voice she was telling the truth and how she would lock eyes with me, I knew I didn't have to use my sight on her. "Are you here because of her stalker?" She ask making me nod, "Yeah, I am. I'm here to meet her to see if she'll take my team." I answer as Anna stops making me stop. "Elsa... Elsa is really scared. This has been happening way to long and it's making her scared to leave her house." Anna says.

"She puts up a brave face, she's an amazing actress but I can see right through it, the stuff this assholes says to her... It makes me sick to my stomach." she continues. "You've read the letters?" I ask seeing her nod, "Yeah I have, I'm the only one besides her manger who knows about this person." Anna locked eyes with me again and I saw tears in her eyes, she was worried about her. "I will do everything in my power to help her Miss. Sun to find this person and stop them." I answer as she lets out a laugh of relief  before she wipes her eyes, "god I'm a mess. Let's get you to Elsa." she laughs off taking the lead making me follow again.

It wasn't long before we stopped at a door that had Elsa's last name on it. "This is her dressing room, she should still be in there, we're not supposed to be on stage for practice for another hour or so." Anna says before she waves goodbye to get changed. "Thanks for the help." I say. She turns her head and shakes it, "Thank you for coming." She's before she turns a corner and she was gone. I turn back to the door as I knock.

I was expecting Elsa to answer the door but instead it was another man with a man bun black hair and hazel eyes. "Can I help you?" He growls. Oh someone is not friendly. I think as I reach to pull out my badge again but stop when I see a hand touch the man's shoulder. "Jade, who is it?" I hear a soft voice before I see Jade move to reveal a woman with white blonde hair and the light blue eyes, I've seen those blue eyes before. "Violet..." I whispers seeing the woman smile, "Jackson." She says before she steps away form Jade and hugs me, "Oh Jack it's so nice to see you again."

"Do you know who this is Miss. Frost?" Jade ask as Elsa pulls away and rolls her eyes, "Yes Jade." She says turning her back to me making me blink, it was like I wasn't fully there and I was seeing a ghost from my past. "This is the BAU Agent I asked for now if you would excuse us, we have much to discuss." Elsa says grabbing my hand and pulling me into her room. I lock eyes wit Jade to see him glaring at me, letting my guard down, I saw just one thing, him and Elsa in an office, fighting. I turn my head so I see no more. "Miss. Frost I really think I should stay here, I don't trust him." Jade says glaring at me.

"And I don't trust you." She says letting go of my hand and stepping in front of Jade, "I did not hire you Jade, my manger did. But I am still your boss so please... Let me and my old friend catch up." She says pointing to the door. It was almost a dog and cat fight watching them, Jade could of easily over powered Elsa but instead he just huffs, "I'll be outside." He says walking away and closing the door behind him. I hear Elsa sigh as she moves her hand through her hair. "I can't stand him... His so controlling." She answers before she turns to me and that angry, was gone with a smile. "You haven't changed." She says rubbing her arm.

"Are you really Violet?" I ask seeing her cheeks go red, "I.. I haven't heard that name in so long." She says letting out a nervous laugh. There was no way this was Violet, Violet doesn't get nervous... I had to know. I step closer placing my hand on her cheeks, "Can you look at me please?" I ask making her head look up as we lock eyes. That's when the movie played out. The first day we meet as kids, when we had classes together, when she dated Cash, our secret kiss. It was all there. I pull my hand back as I give her another hug, "It really is you."

"I take it back, you have changed." She laughs as I pull back, "The Jack I knew would never hug me first." She jokes making me laugh, "Well look at you." I say touching her hair, "Blonde hair, what happened to your brown hair?" I ask as I let the hair slide from my fingers. "My manger though blonde suited me better." She says. "I agree... You're beautiful." I say without meaning too making me step back, "I'm sorry... That was..." "It's okay." She answers quickly. "I like it when you say it." She says not locking eyes with me but I could see the blush again.

"A model huh?" I say making her nod, "Yeah, umm my manger actually found me at the mall one day when I was shopping after I moved." She starts before I see her eyes drop, "I... I'm so sorry about Sally." She says taking me off a little, I wasn't really ready for her to say her name. "Thank you... I didn't see you at the funeral." I say. Elsa walk past me and sits down on the couch, "I... I wanted to be there, for you, and Cash but, my career was just starting and I didn't think..." I could feel the guilt coming off of her making me grab her hand as I fall to my knees. "It's okay Vi... Sally would of understood." I say.

"Could you... Not call me that?" She ask making me smile, "You're right, you're not Violet anymore are you, Elsa Frost." I say letting the name roll off my tongue. I see her smile again as I stand and sit on the couch next to her. "Why that name?" I ask making her laugh, "I honestly have no idea. I always liked the story of Jack Frost so I thought why not use Frost as the last name." She says. "And Elsa means Joyful, Noble." I say looking at her to see her smile before she looks at me, "I always did think I was royalty." She jokes making me laugh, she wasn't lying, she did always want to be a princess.

"I think it suits you." I answer. It was nice to talk to her again, to see that smile, it almost made all those feelings I felt for her so many years ago come flowing back to me. But I remembered I had a job to do. I clear my throat, "Elsa... You want to tell me what's going on?" I ask seeing that smile go down as she huffs, "I don't really don't have a choice do I?" she ask making me shake her head, "Not if you don't want me to help." I answer. She doesn't say anything as she stands up and walks over to her vanity. I watched as she dug around a draw until she pulls out a big pile of letters, there had to be at less fifty there. "Jesus..." I say as she hands them to me. "These... Are all the letters I've been getting... They started off as fan mail and then... They became more... creepy." She says and I see her shiver as I open of the letters.

The first thing I see is a picture of Elsa at a coffee house drinking some tea. I push the picture aside and read the letter.

My beautiful Elsa,

I crave to be in the same place as you but I am to shy to even talk to you, to even be in the same building as you. So for now, I will watch, and enjoy you from a distance. One day, I'll get the courage to talk to you, to touch your fair skin, and maybe even get lucky enough to kiss it and all the spots you like.

Always yours.

Well that was creepy... I thought as I put the letter back in the envelope. "That one was two weeks ago." Elsa says as she grabs the stack looking through them until she pulls another one out, "This one was from yesterday." She says and I could eye that was in a red envelope. I take the envelope and pull the letter out along with a picture. The picture was of Elsa and a man with brown hair and sideburns, they were holding hands and I could feel jealousy go through my veins until I pushed it aside, of course she had a boyfriend, why wouldn't she? I put the picture aside and read the letter.

My dearest Elsa

Why must you do this to me? Why must you cheat on me with this man who dose not deserve you. He is nothing! And he is not me! I am the only one for you! The only one who understands! I understand you! I understand how lonely you are, how heartbroken you are. But because of this Elsa, I must go to my next step, to prove how much I love you, and to show you that we belong together.

Remember Elsa, I am doing all of this for you.

I put the letter back in the envelope and look at Elsa. "I'm guessing the man in the picture is your boyfriend?" I ask. She nods, "I mean... I guess, we've only been seeing each other for a few weeks, I don't feel like it's serious but.. I don't want him to get hurt." She says. "How did you two meet?" I ask. "His sister works with me." "And their names?" I ask taking out my notebook and pen. "Hans and Stacy Isles." I write their names down and stand up, "Can you show me where Stacy's dressing room is?" I ask. "I would but... I have to get ready... If you get me a minute to change you can watch the practice and meet her afterwards. Would that be alright?" Elsa ask. I nod my head, "yeah, I'm going to call my team while I wait, alright?" I say.

I see her nod before she grabs my hand, "You're going to help me right?" She ask squeezing my hand tightly, fear in her eyes. I place my hand on hers, "Of course I am. My team and I will do whatever we can to catch this person." I say making her smile as she pulls me in, getting on her tiptoes and kisses me on the cheek. I could feel my face go red as she smiles, "Thank you Jackson." She whispers as I clear my throat, "Yes umm.. You're welcome... I'll be outside." I say quickly as I turn to leave only to hear her giggle. "I didn't know a strong BAU agent blushed like that." I hear her tease me making me turn and freeze to see her back was turned to me and she was taking off her shirt. This woman was trying to kill me.

She turns her head to me, "You understand I model in underwear all the time, you watching me is nothing new." She says but I saw her cheeks red also. "I need to kiss.... Call! Call my boss... Excuse me!" I say and quickly leave the room. I close her door and take a deep breath, if I stayed there any longer, I was going to have to take a cold shower. I always had a crush on her, ever since we meet I've liked her, and like Sally said before she died, I loved her. Why are all those feelings coming back to me now? I had to remember why I was here, to protect her, to stop whoever was scaring her. Not to have fantasies about us... together.

"Is Miss. Frost still in her room?" I hear looking to see her bodyguard Jade coming towards me. "Yeah, she's getting ready to practice." I say pushing off the door and taking my phone out. I start to walk away until I feel Jade grab my wrist, "I don't trust you." He says. I turn my head to him, "What is your relationship with Elsa?" I ask as I feel him throw me against the wall, "Don't be disrespectful to Miss. Frost." He yells as I look into his eyes to see Elsa and that man Hans walking together, Jade walking behind him but I saw his hand in a fist.

I blink and smirk, "Are we jealous that I am so close to Elsa? I mean... We are old friends. And what about the boyfriend? How do we feel  about Hans?" I ask pushing Jade a little, he was Elsa's bodyguard, from how he was acting, he was being suspicious. "Hans is a prick who is only with Elsa for her fame and money, and I am not jealous, I work for her, it's my job to protect her." Jade says. I couldn't help but not believe him as I push him off of me. "Well I would be careful with that, as of today, I'm her new protector." I say and start to walk away form him. But stop and snap my fingers as I turn to him, "How stupid of me, I didn't catch your name." I say seeing Jade glare, "Jade, Jade Shay." Jade says making me smile, "Right Jade Shay, I'll see you in a bit." I say and walk outside.

"Agent Reid." I hear Ezra answer making me roll my eyes, "Ezra it's me." I answer back. "Jack, how's it going?" He ask. "This person is a lot more creepier then I thought, I read some of the letters Ezra, his not right in the head." I answer. "You sure it's a man?" He ask. "Yes, what he wrote, a woman wouldn't would say, it was to... dark and twisted, I can't explain it. And the handwriting, it was smooth, like a man wrote it." I explain. "What else did you learn?" He ask making me laugh, "That Elsa Frost is really Violet Windheart, she's my childhood best friend." I say. "That's why she wanted you, because you two have a past. Are you sure you can work on this case Dream?"

I knew Ezra was worried since what happened to Sally but... Thinking of Elsa with her soft, sad blue eyes... It killed me. I had to help. "She needs me Ezra." I answer. I waited for him to answer me back as I hear a sigh, "When do you need us?" I knew he wouldn't say no to helping me. "I'll be with her all night, maybe get Nikia and Chase down here though to get the letters see if we can get finger prints. And I need Molly to run a name for me." I say. "What name?" "Jade Shay, his Elsa's bodyguard but from what my sight showed me, he might be more then that."

"We're on it Jack, stay close to Miss. Frost and I'll send Nikia and Chase to you. Keep me in the loop." Ezra says before he hangs up on me and I let out my breath again. This case was going to be the hardest one I've worked on for a long time. But I would do anything to help Elsa. I put my phone back in my pocket and walk back in to see a woman stepping out of a room wearing a robe. She stops and looks at me. I see her huff, "God, how did you sneak in here?" The woman ask. The woman had to be around my age with red hair with blonde streaks in it and green eyes. "I didn't sneak in here." I say pulling my badge out again, "I'm Dr. Jack Dream, I'm working with Elsa Frost." I say putting my badge back in only the see this woman smile.

"Ah, little Elsa is in trouble with the BAU huh? Did she finally snap?" The woman asked. I didn't like how she was talking about Elsa. "Who are you and what's your relationship with Elsa?" I ask as the woman crosses her arms, "I'm Ashlee Brown, I work with Elsa." She says almost like a hiss. "And I see you two aren't friends?" I ask making her huff, "You could say that. Everyone treats her like a princess when really she's a nobody who isn't really pretty enough to be a model." Ashlee says as she steps forward and touches my chest, "You know, I could be alittle late if you are bored." She flirts. I tried to hold back my eye roll pushing her hand always.

"I think I'll have to say no to that offer, I have work to do." I say and gentle push her to the side so I can go to the stage. "You don't have anymore questions for me Mr. Dream?" Ashlee ask waking behind me. "It's Dr. Dream and no, I think I got everything I need from you." I answer. But that just made her quicker her step and go in front of me. "Oh come on, it's not like you we need to talk to have fun." She says making me stop. I locked eyes with her as my sight kicked in. This woman liked having sex, and from what I could see a lot of it was with people she's worked with or for. I blink making me smile, "You're being very unprofessional Miss. Brown." I watch her glare at me, "Excuse me?" "You're technically working? And I know for damn sure I'm working." I say and step put to her, "And unlike you, I don't have to sleep to get where I am." I smirk as I walk past her again.

It wasn't my best moment but I didn't care, I just wanted to get to Elsa, I didn't even like being away from her this long. I still couldn't believe the woman I was protecting was Violet... I haven't seen her since she moved after high school, even Sally lost contact with her after that, we all did. Hell she even broke up with Cash after she moved, I guess I know why now. Cash... What was he going to say when I tell him Violet is back? Would he recognize her?

I reach the stage just as Elsa was walking down the catwalk making me freeze. She was wearing a light blue bra and panties to match with two big angel wings behind her. She was smiling as she turns facing me and that smile almost went down turning her head from me, almost like she was shy. But the look in her eyes before she turned,

It was the same look she gave me before graduation...

I felt a pair of arms around me taking me by surprise as I turn my head to see Violet, "Did I scare you?" She giggles getting off my back making me smile and my heart skip a beat. I couldn't help it, she was so beautiful but I knew she was off limits, she was Cash's girlfriend. "You'll have to try harder then that to scare me." I laugh as she walks next to me, "Are you ready to graduate tomorrow?" She ask. I look next to me to see her put her arms behind her back as she looked up at the sky. I never knew what she was looking at but she always seems to have her heads in the clouds.

"Well technology I have two graduation to attend remember?" I say with a smile only to make her glare. She quickly throw a punch in my arm but it only felt like a bug bite to me. "You are such a jerk you know that?" "Yes but I'm a smart jerk." I flirt. I needed to stop doing that, but I couldn't help it. I see her give me that smile before she grabs my arm and pulls me. "Where are we going?" I ask knowing well she wasn't going to tell me.

"On an adventure!" She says twisting her body so she is walking backwards. The sun was hitting her perfectly making her almost look like she was the sun itself. "What about Cash and Sally?" I ask looking away form her but I could feel her slowing down. I turn my head back to see she was facing forward again. "We'll meet up with them later... I want you alone." She says and I feel my heart beat faster again. "Vi.. Is that really..." I start but stop when she turns her head, her eyes almost dark, hurt. She wanted to tell me something, we always had that special connection were we could read each other. I close my mouth as I let her drag me to wherever she wanted. But if I was to be honest, I would let her drag me to hell if she wanted.

I felt like we were walking a long way until we reach a small stone bridge looking over a small creek. "I didn't even know this was here." I say as Violet let go of my hand and jumped on the railing of the bridge. "This is where I would run off to when I skipped class." She says. She almost looked like she was walking a tightrope with the balance she was holding. "I can't believe you're actually graduating with how much you skipped, how did you do it?" I ask while I join her jumping on the edge I kept looking at my feet trying not to slip. "I slept with the teachers." She says making me lose my footing and fall off the side of the bridge landing in the small creek. "Shit Jack are you okay!?" Elsa yelled down at me making me look up at her. She had a worried look on her face until she started to smile, a shit eating grin.

"I really hate you." I growl only making her laugh as she jumps down and helps me up. "I'm so sorry. Are you okay? Really?" She ask as I shake the water from my hands and nod, "I'm fine." I say walking out of the water having her follow me. We climb back on the bridge, Violet jump back on the ledge again and plops down. She pats the sit next to her, telling me to join her and I of course obey. "You shouldn't joke about that." I say only making her laugh more, "You're just so gullible something Dream, I can't help it." She turns her head back to the creek but I just kept looking at her. "I did all my homework, got A's in all my test, so even though I missed class, I did all the work." Violet answer my question. Sometimes it scared me how smart she was but she never showed it, unless she needed to us it.

We sat in silence, just listening to the sound of the creek and the animals around us. It was peaceful, I can see why she would sneak out here. "I'm breaking up with Cash." I hear breaking the peace. I quickly turn my head to her but she wasn't looking at me, she was still just looking at the creek.

"Why?" I ask feeling my heart beat more, did she have the same feeling I do for her why else would she tell me this? "Because I'm leaving right after graduation." Violet says finally looking at me and I felt my heart break, why did I get my hopes up for her to have feelings for me? "I can't stay in this town anymore Jack." I watch as she wraps her arms around herself. "Where will you go?" I ask but she just shrugs, "I don't know." She turns to me, "You've known what you're going to do when you graduate. You've known since we were like... five." She says with as small smile, "I... I never knew what I wanted to be, what I wanted to do. I'm not smart enough for college, but not dumb enough to get hooked on drugs, I'm just in... Limbo." Violet says and I could see tears coming to her eyes.

"Violet, I don't believe that. You just told me you passed every test, shit I couldn't even do that and I was taking college classes." I say. "You're bragging." She jokes making me grab her hand. '"I'm serious Violet." I say my voice stern. She looks down at our hands, don't know what made me want to hold her hand but it was like my hand was moving on it's own. "You know Sally likes you right?" She says looking up at me and I feel my eyes widen, "Wh... what?" I stuttered only making her smile, "She's liked you since we were kids Jackson, how have you not notice?" Because I've only had eyes on you, I wanted to say but I held my tongue back.

"That's why I started to date Cash." Violet whisper but I heard her. What did she mean by that? Did she actually like me but didn't say anything because of Sally? To not hurt her? "Do you like me?" I slipped out. I watched her face, seeing if I could see anything in her motions or her eyes but she kept her poker face on. But then her face came closer to me as she places her hand on my knee and lends in, kissing me. I feel my eyes widen but then I let the kiss control me as I kissed her back and closed my eyes. It was everything I've always wanted. I wanted it to last forever but she pulled back letting out forehead touched.

"Violet... I lov...." "You should date Sally and forget about me. She'll make you happy." Violet interrupts pulling back and moving her hand. I could still feel the warmth on my knee but I was frozen, did she really just say that? "But I lov..." I start but Violet put her finger to my lip, "I know, but you need to forget that. Erase those emoticon for me Jackson... I'm not good for you. She is." She smiles, a broken smile. I wanted to talk her out of it, to tell her she was wrong that we would be perfect together but before I could even open my mouth, she was standing up. "We should go go and get you changed and see the others." She says turning her head to me

"Right Jack?"

"Jack?" I hear breaking me from my thoughts, my memories as I see Elsa standing in front of me. "Where'd you go?" She ask smiling. "I... I told you, I went out to call my team." I answer but she shook her head, "No I mean right now, you were in your head." She say poking my head making me flinch. But that just made her laugh, "Where did it take you to?" She ask placing her hand on my cheek, "It must of been a good memory, you're flushed." She giggles taking me by surprise. "I'm not flushed." I answer pushing her hand off my cheek before she made it worse. "Are you all done?" I ask seeing her nod, "Yeah I just need to put on a sweatshirt and pants." "And where are the Isles?" I see her open her mouth but stop pushing me in front of her, I turn my head to see Jade coming up to us. Jesus... I thought but I kept Jade and Elsa away from each other. "Miss. Hart would you like me to drive you home before your show tonight?" Jade ask locking eyes with me glaring.

"No thank you Jade, Jack can do that for me." She answers but stays behind me. "And beside we have work to do here." I add only to anger Jade more. "Then I'll stay since it's my job." Jade growls, he took me as a threat, good. I step up to him, he might be a few inches taller then me but I can make him feel small. "Right well it's my job now Jade." "Says who?" He almost yells. "The BAU." I hear looking past Jade only to smile as I see Chase and Nikia walking up to us, Nikia already looked like she wanted to fight someone.

"And who the fuck are you two?" Jade ask fully turning to them. Almost like they were in sync, they both pull out their badges at the same time. "I'm Agent Morgan and this is Agent Ya, we are Dr. Dream's team." Chase says. "We're his backup." Nikia added. I feel Elsa move from behind my back a little to see what was happening. Jade huffed, "You two work for the BAU?" He ask walking up to Nikia, she was small in height wise but if you push her button hard enough, she will kick your ass. Jade touched  Nikia's hair, that was his first mistake. "A little girl like you? Please, your just playing dress up." Jade adding fuel into the fire. That was his second mistake as Nikia gave a sweet but deadly smile. Like lighting, she grabbed Jade's wrist, twisting it making him fall to his knees.

"Shouldn't of done that mate." Chase says walking past the broken Jade as Nikia put her heel on his shoulder pushing him down more to the ground. "Should we stop her..." Elsa ask but Chase and I just shook our heads. "I don't want to get in the middle of that." I say while we watch the show. Chase smiled as he looked at Elsa, "Miss. Frost, I'm Chase Morgan, the deadly woman over there is Nikia Ya." Chase says shaking Elsa's hand but she still had her eyes on the fight. I look back to see Jade's face was almost on the ground, his arm up as Nikia held it. "If you say sorry, maybe I'll let you go." She says her voice sweet like chocolate, god she was scary. "I'm... Sorry." Jade growled. "Good boy." Nikia answers letting Jade go and fixing her top walking over to us.

"Nice to meet you Miss. Frost." Nikia says shaking hands with her, "Umm... Please call me Elsa." Elsa says. "Is he okay?" She ask. Nikia looks back at Jade, "He will be." She smiles. I couldn't help but smile back as Jade stands up rubbing his wrist glaring at my group. "Aren't you going to say anything Miss. Frost? I was just attacked!" Jade bagged clearly upset that she did nothing. "I am." Elsa says standing in front of me. "You're fired Jade as of now, I will leave my protection with the BAU." Elsa turns on her heel and starts to walk away having Nikia and Chase follow. But I stay to look at Jade one more time. "This won't be the last you see of me Jackass." He says before he bumps his shoulder on mine walks off making me roll my eyes,

"Real original."

Hey guys!!! Long ass update haha but it was a lot of fun to write! the next chapter will even be better and do I say... Deadly? What do you think will happen? How is everyone doing during this lock down? I hope you are all staying safe and staying in doors if your lockdown is still going like my family and I are. I'm hoping to update my other story soon but I'm having a little to no motivation to write it as of right now. I don't know if it's because my head is filled with ideas on this story or what but I hope update both again real soon.

And to everyone, make sure you tell your mothers Happy Mother's Day tomorrow! Show them the world! And until the next update, sorry for my grammar and spelling, I'll see you soon!
