"So, what do you think about having a family hangout?" My mom asked as she sat at the edge of my bed, my dad had just stepped out of my room after they'd both wished me a happy birthday. For the first time in how many years, they remembered my day.

"My friends would be coming during the day to celebrate my birthday, and I won't miss that for anything," I told her, and she nodded though I didn't miss the flash of hurt in her eyes.

"Okay then, have a good night rest, I'm off," she stood up and smiled at me before walking out of my room.

I sighed before hearing the sounds from my phone, it was just 12, so, messages would surely be flooding.

Picking up my phone, different messages welcomed me, so, I just decided to read the one from the only person in my mind.

To the one who has been my best friend for years, my partner in crime and the one who shares a weird personality like mez happy birthday from the one who knows all your annoying habits but still loves you anyway 💖💖💖

A wide smile crept up my face as I read the message again before I scrolled to other messages then I checked people's status to reply to those wishing me before I saw Kikiope's status, she'd posted a lot of funny pictures right from when I was young till the one we took yesterday, I smiled before remembering what had happened during the game yesterday.

The sound from my phone snapped me out of my thoughts, picking it, I realized it was Kikiope.

"Hey, stupid boy, Happy birthday!" She shouted from the other end and I chuckled.

"Thanks."

"Prepare for our coming today oo."

"Sure."

"Good then, abi you want me to sing a birthday song for you."

I smiled, "You'll do that when you come."

"Alright oo, dream of your lovely Abimbola," she jested before cutting the call without waiting for my response.

I laughed at her statement before dumping my phone on the bed, time to sleep.

I felt something cold on my bed but decided to ignore it, it wasn't until I felt the splash of water on my face did I open my eyes.

"Gosh!" I groaned while getting up from the cold bed.

Kikiope smirked at me, "So, you didn't want to wake up abi?"

"So, pouring water on my bed would wake me abi?"

She rolled her eyes, "It's 10 already and you're still sleeping, anyway, others are outside waiting for you oo."

I raised my brows, "You mean everyone?"

"Noo, half, better go and take your bath and join us," she snorted before walking out of the room while I stood up, I turned back to look at my wet bed before going into the bathroom.

After my hygiene, I got dressed in a white T-shirt and black shorts before my eyes caught the wristwatch Kikiope had given me for the Valentine, I smiled before walking out of the room to meet my friends who were now watching TV and shouting.

"Happy birthday!" They all shouted immediately they noticed my presence.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you," I bowed playfully, and they all laughed before I joined Kikiope on the love seat.

"The rate at which you guys have been jumping the fence lately, you should consider being burglars oo," I jested while looking at Doyin and Abee who were sitting on the three seater opposite me.

"And we didn't jump the fence oo," Abee countered.

"We just told them we had an emergency at home," Doyin explained.

"They're even gullible gan, it's every time you use to have emergency," Kikiope joked and they laughed.

"So, what are we eating oo?" Bimpe questioned.

I opened my mouth to respond but the voice of my mom hindered me, "I already prepared Fried rice for you guys, let me know when you're ready to eat."

So, she was even around. I actually thought she'd gone out with Dad.

"Okay ma," they all chorused.

"Mom, what of dad?" I asked not because I was curious but because I believed he might have traveled again.

"He went to Kikiope's dad," she replied and I nodded. As expected, whenever he was home, he visited his partner in crime.

"Oh okay," I replied, and she smiled at me before going back to the kitchen.

"Me, I'm already hungry nah," Kunmi announced, and we all shifted our attention to him.

"It's only food you know," Bimpe snarled, she was actually sitting adjacent to me which was directly opposite Kunmi.

"Like you weren't the first person that announced it," he retorted, and she eyed him.

"Let's go and take the food," Kikiope suggested and the girls sprang up to their feet heading to my mom's room, they got out a few minutes later with my mom and went to the kitchen.

Couple of minutes later, the food had been served, so, we all sat down to eat the Fried rice, salad, coleslaw and grilled chicken alongside my mother.

"So, I'm not really familiar with you guys except Kikiope, can you tell me your names?" Mom questioned breaking the silence.

Why would you be familiar with them when you're not that familiar with me? I wanted to say that but decided against it, there was no need to spoil the happy mood, whereas it's my day.

"I'm Abifoluwa," Abee who was right beside me started before the others introduced themselves too.

"You all have nice names."

"Thanks," they chorused.

Then they went on to discuss few things till the end of the meal, later my mom decided to go out while we still stayed in the living room.

"This film is getting boring jare," Kunmi shouted all of a sudden, and we all turned to him almost shocked.

"Should we change it to horror film?" Bimpe asked with a mischievous smile.

"Let's do something else," he replied.

"Like what?" Abee asked.

"Spin the bottle," Doyin shouted.

"I don't fancy that dirty game jare," Kikiope countered with squeezed face.

"Let's play it jo," Bimpe told her and that was how we all sat down in a circle with a bottle at the center.

"Birthday boy should start," Doyin said and the others agreed, I spinned the bottle and it landed on Abee.

"Truth or Dare?"

He shrugged, "Truth."

"You're a coward," we all shouted and he ignored us.

"Hmm, who is the sexiest person in this room?"

"My baby of course," he replied with a smile.

"Who is the baby oo?" Bimpe asked with raised brows.

"Doyin na," he replied as he draped his hand around Doyin's shoulder while she eyed him.

"It's your turn oo," Kikiope shouted and Abee spun the bottle which pointed at Bimpe.

"Truth or Dare?"

"I'm not a coward like you, so dare."

Abee smiled mischievously, he glanced at Kunmi before talking, "I dare you to do the seven minutes in heaven with Kunmi."

"What!" They both shouted with huge pupils.

"I can't imagine staying alone with this girl, we'll surely kill each other," Kunmi said.

"Good thing you know, if I don't do it, what's the fine?"

"You transfer ₦5000 to my account."

We all shouted at this.

"You're a thief, it's a pity I don't have that enough money to spare, so, Mr. Kunmi, let's go, I hope you guys won't end up carrying our dear bodies," then she rose while Kunmi still sat glued to the ground, she glared at him before dragging him up.

"Where should we stay?" She asked.

"My room."

"No, they should stay in your wardrobe," Kikiope corrected as she stood up to lead them there while Bimpe snapped her fingers at her.

"I hope they won't slit each other's throat in there," Doyin voiced out immediately Kikiope got back.

"They can't die," Kikiope assured.

"But Abee what made you come up with that?"I asked him in a cursory manner while he only shrugged.

"I just came to my mind maybe they'll use that opportunity to bond or..."

"Kiss," Doyin completed it while we all bursted into laughter.

"We'll have to do Thanksgiving for that," I said after the laughter died down.

"Abi oo," Kikiope added and we smiled.

"Is it not time?" Abee asked.

"Three minutes left," Doyin replied, and we nodded.

Exactly, three minutes after, Kikiope went back to my room to open the wardrobe before they all strolled out with frowns taking over Kunmi and Bimpe's face.

"Good thing they didn't kill each other," Kikiope announced before sitting down, then Bimpe and Kunmi went back to their former positions.

"What did you do?" Doyin nudged Bimpe's shoulder.

"We yelled at each other."

"What!" We all exclaimed, and she ignored us by spinning the bottle that pointed at Doyin.

"Truth or Dare?" Bimpe asked with a bright smile replacing the frown on her face.

Just as she opened her mouth to respond, Abimbola strolled into the house, she looked surprised to see my friends but it was replaced with a scowl before she walked up to me.

"Happy birthday love," she pecked me and I smiled.

"Thanks."

Then she sat down by me pushing Kunmi who was right beside me, "What are you guys doing?"

"You are not blind nah," Doyin replied with irritation evident in her voice.

"I'll join you guys then," she tucked her legs beneath her and proceeded to spin the bottle but Kikiope slapped her hand away.

"No one gave you the permission to touch it."

Abimbola hissed before looking away.

"So, Doyin?" Bimpe asked.

"Dare jare."

"I dare you to slap Abimbola twice."

"What!" Abimbola shouted as she proceeded to stand up.

"You can't just opt out of the game when you just joined," Kunmi said before pulling her back.

A wicked smile appeared on Doyin's face before she stood up.

"For being a bitch," and in a twinkle of an eye, a hot slap landed on Abimbola's face, as she raised her head to glare at Doyin, another one landed on her other cheek.

Abimbola held her cheeks as she seethed in anger while Doyin only smirked at her before going back to spin the bottle which pointed at me.

"Truth or Dare?"

"Dare."

A mischievous smile appeared on her face before she talked, " I dare you to kiss your best friend on the neck."

I blinked my eyes before I heard Abimbola shout.

"What are you saying? Are you..."

"Mrs. Woman, no one called you here, so, don't start disrupting anything oo," Bimpe shouted back at her and she glared back in return.

"We are waiting for you oo," Doyin and Abee shouted in unison before I glanced at them.

I turned to Kikiope who was by my right, she smiled at me before I kissed her neck.

"I said kiss not peck," Doyin yelled and I sighed.

"What's the difference? Do you expect me to..."

"There's a difference oo," Bimpe shouted and I sighed before looking at Kikiope who didn't look disturbed or amused about the whole thing, she only wore a blank expression.

I moved her gown before kissing her neck, minutes later, Doyin told me it was enough.

"The picture came out nicely," Bimpe smirked.

"Did you take the picture of that?" Kikiope and I hollered simultaneously.

"Of course."

"But..."

"Spin the bottle Jo," Kunmi shouted and I frowned at him before spinning the bottle that eventually pointed at him.

"Truth or Dare?"

"Everyone has been going for dare, lemme choose truth."

"Don't use that one to pretend Jo," Abee snorted.

"So, can you ever crush on Bimpe and date her?"

He glared at me before shrugging, "I don't know."

"Hmm, the fact that you said you don't know means it can happen right?" Doyin wriggled her brows at him.

"God forbid bad thing," Bimpe shouted.

"That's how you'll be saying," Kikiope nudged her, and she rolled her eyes before Kunmi spinned the bottle that pointed at Kikiope.

"T or D?"

"T."

"What was the last thing you typed on your phone?"

She pursed her lips before replying, "How to kiss someone."

"What!" We all screamed as we snapped our heads to her.

"Really?" Bimpe asked and she nodded.

"Who do you want to kiss?" Abee asked.

She placed her index finger on her lips before a small smile crawled up her face, "It's..."
