He puffed the cigarette while I turned to leave, but I was stopped by the guy that pulled me in.

"If you have nothing better to say, you might as well clear the way," Bimpe voiced out.

"You know, if we want to kill you guys here, nobody will know," the leader of Xandra stated.

I chuckled.

"Go straight to the point," I told him.

"Anyway, we know you guys know everything about us..."

Bimpe cut in, "And so?"

"You'll receive the punishment of that later but the main reason I called you here is to warn you," he grabbed my hand and I tried jerking away but his grip was stronger, I glared at him while he smiled.

"Abimbola told us you're after her boyfriend."

Bimpe and I glanced at each other. Meaning Abimbola was a member of Xandra too, oh my goodness, is this all her threat amounts too, the idiot is even vexing me. There are lot of things going on in this our school oo.

"You must have heard wrongly."

"Well, this is just a warning, if she reports one more time again, then consider yourself a goner," he let go of me.

"Is that all?" I rolled my eyes.

He moved closer to me while I stepped back as his mouth was oozing smoke and I couldn't take it in for long.

"You guys are just like we had, fearless right?"

"Is that all?" Bimpe shouted with irritation evident in her tone.

He nodded, "Last warning."

I hissed scathingly, "You must be dumb."

Then I felt the contact of a palm on my face, my head moved askance and then a gasp from Bimpe. Wait, did this guy just slap me? Glowering at him, he smiled.

"I think I helped your situation, the boil in your ear has disappeared," he chuckled.

Palm to cheek, I retorted, "You're not different from a mountain goat, you spindle-legged toad!" I spat on his face and as he scrunched up his face, I bent down before pouring a reasonable amount of sand on his face and kicking his groin.

His slave tried moving closer to me but Bimpe and I pushed him out of the way and ran out of the bush.

Immediately we got out, we bumped into Khalid who cast a surprised look at us.

"Did you guys just come out there?" He pointed at the bush and we nodded.

"Why?"

"You," I replied before taking Bimpe's hand, and we headed towards Doyin's house.

"So, that means Abimbola is among Xandra?" Bimpe asked while we walked to Doyin's house.

"Turns out."

"But, we didn't see her there that day?"

"Maybe she didn't go for the meeting, but that their leader stooped so low oo, I thought he was a leader, why would he come to me and threaten me just because of that foolish girl."

"Well, I think he uses stupidity to run their cult group, they even seem powerless gan."

I nodded before she turned to me.

"Why is Abimbola threatening you?"

"What did that girl do again?" Doyin interjected, and we both turned to her with a smile, she was now dressed in her sports wear, we didn't even know when we got to her house.

"Wow, Doyin, you didn't faint?" Bimpe jested.

Doyin smiled, "Why would I faint?"

"But you're wicked Sha, you came first in both race, you didn't even think of our own house," I said in a jocular tone.

She shrugged, "Am I in your house?"

Bimpe eyed her before turning to me, "So, what's up with Abimbola?"

I sat on the empty seat before others joined me, then I replied, "You know that girl is claiming Khalid likes me and because of that he's treating her badly."

Bimpe scrunched her brows, "Khalid likes you?"

I nodded, "So, she wants me to stay away from him, now she's threatening me because of that."

"Is that how stupid she is?" Doyin asked.

I shrugged, "She's more than stupid, she deserves a doctorate degree in stupidity."

Bimpe and Doyin laughed at the latter statement while I smiled.

"Do you know the leader of Xandra is also threatening Kikiope because of that?"

Doyin's pupil grew huge, "What! How did he know about that?"

"Turns out Abimbola is also among them."

"What!" she shouted before her mouth hung open.

"Close your mouth," Bimpe pushed Doyin's mouth and Doyin eyed her.

"That's shocking," Doyin stated.

I bobbed my head.

"So, what will you do now?"Bimpe questioned.

I scrunched my brows before shrugging, "Nothing, I can't possibly stay away from my best friend."

"I agree, but you see that girl will go to any length," Bimpe said.

Doyin opened her palms widely, "And so? See, I even think you should start taunting her and let's see what's she's capable of."

I lifted my brows, just then Bimpe talked, "Taunting her as how?"

"Taunting her just as I said it."

I pressed my lips together, "Okay, this is also my last warning for her, if she should threaten me again, I promise her, she'll be sorry because I'll taunt her just as you've said."

Doyin gave me a thumbs up, "That's my girl, you see people like her, it's what they don't want that you'll do to them, what nonsense! Why won't she want you around Khalid?"

"Maybe she has forgotten you're his best friend and that's an advantage over her, why would she even be fighting for a guy at this age?"Bimpe answered.

"She doesn't have anything upstairs, that's why? Let's see how she can fight, maybe she's forgotten who she's dealing with."

"Yeah," Doyin smiled before raising her hand for a high five.

"E ehn, we finally saw Ann today oo," I told her.

She readjusted her sitting position, "Really?"

Then Bimpe narrated everything to her.

"Wow, so, we're going to her place on Sunday?" Doyin asked and I jerked my head towards her, looking away from the relay race.

"Are you going with us?" I inquired and she nodded.

"Don't forget you stay in the hostel oo," Bimpe reminded and Doyin smiled.

"And so? That doesn't mean I can't go anywhere I like."

I raised my hand, "Hmm, I know you'll surely find a way to come out."

She flipped her weavon, "Trust me, you know I'm very skilled in the aspect of lying and jumping fence."

"Hail Doyin oo," Bimpe joked, then we all laughed and then turned back to the field.

At the end of the day as expected, Doyin's house, Yellow came first while our house; Pink came last just as presumed.

"I'm already going," I told Mama D through the window, she stood up and walked up to me.

"Okay, greet your friends for me."

I nodded, "I will."

Then she brought out a ₦1000 note from her pocket and I collected it quickly.

"Don't stay long oo," she warned and I smiled before bading her bye, as if she'll know if I get home late.

I still find it hard to believe she came to church with me today even Sugar boy came with us.

Immediately I walked out of the church, I sighted a bike and called him, then he drove me to Bimpe's place.

"I thought you won't come again," Bimpe snorted as she opened the door widely for me to come in.

"Sorry jare, you know our church closes late."

"But this is almost five," I heard Doyin's voice say before I ran up to her.

"So, you actually jumped the fence?" I jested and she shook her head.

"I didn't jump the fence, I just feigned illness, then I was taken to the dispensary, you know the new nurse is my sister's friend..."

I cut in, "Which of your sisters ooo?"

"Pipe na, the one serving in our school."

Bimpe interrupted, "Okay, the one you introduced to us on Friday."

She nodded, "Yeah, so, I just told that nurse and scattered everything in her head, you sha understand, but I'll have to go back early Sha, I don't want the nurse getting sacked because of me but you came late nau."

"Oya sorry, we were having practice for Sunday school day and you know I can't just ditch them."

"Anyway, let's go oo," Bimpe shouted.

Then we walked out of Bimpe's house before I remembered, "What of the guys?"

"Did we tell them?" Doyin asked.

"That's true, we didn't inform them," Bimpe confirmed then we stayed in silence till we got to Ann's house.

It was a small bungalow painted in green, their compound was dead silent. Bimpe knocked on the door thrice before Ann eventually opened the door, she was dressed in a pink short gown.

"Welcome," she greeted with a small smile as she ushered us into their cosy living room.

"Why do you look pale?" I asked when we all settled down on the three seater while she sat on the arm chair in front of us.

"Abi it's the pregnancy that's shaking you?" Bimpe joked and she shook her head.

"Anyway, on to what we came here for, how did you join Xandra?" Doyin interrogated.

She swallowed her saliva before talking, "Aisha introduced me to it."

I exchanged looks with the girls.

"Which Aisha?" Doyin queried.

"The one in your class."

I nodded, "How did you guys meet?"

She cleared her throat, "Rebecca introduced me to her."

I shared looks with the girls again.

"First, how did you become friends with Rebecca, you were the easy going and quiet girl then," Bimpe said.

She sighed before talking, "I went to Purple class to borrow notes that day, she was the one that borrowed me, from there, we became good friends."

"But I thought you were someone who loves being alone considering the fact that you had no friends," I said.

She laughed lightly, " You thought, I was miserable, no one found interest in me, they didn't like the ugly and fat girl right?"

"And who referred to you as ugly and fat?" Doyin chided.

"Everyone!" She shrieked.

"Why are you na shouting?" Bimpe uttered with annoyance evident in her tone.

She lowered her head, "Ann, you're not ugly and fat, that's your own perspective, at least Big show is fatter than you and she has friends."

"Abi oo," Bimpe added while eyeing her.

"So, because of that, you decided to become a cultist?" Doyin questioned.

She shook her head before raising it, "No, Rebecca introduced me to Aisha, we became good friends until she lured me to the Plantation, it wasn't intentional, she told me her dad was sick, and she had to go home that I should go with her..."

I cut her off, "So, you guys didn't know the way to the school gate right?"

"Aisha told me the security officer won't allow us to pass and that we should go through the Plantation."

Bimpe clapped, "So, that was how you found yourself in their midst?"

Ann nodded, "Yeah, there was no way to escape, so, I was initiated into the group and threatened not to tell anyone, I cried for days, I couldn't...."

Doyin sighed, "We don't want to know that you cried, so, how did Rebecca come into the picture?"

Her eyes turned glassy.

"Wo talk jare," Bimpe shrieked.

"I was told to bring someone else but that was during the holidays, Rebecca's house isn't far from my house, so, I lured her just like Aisha, I deceived her to the Plantation, and she was raped, unfortunately, she died," a lone tear dropped from her eyes and others followed.

"Stop crying jare," Doyin said in irritation.

"Is that everything?" I asked and she nodded.

"So, what are you going to do about the baby?" Bimpe asked.

Ann sniffed before raising her head, "Abort it."

Doyin scoffed, "That's the best option abi, it seems death is already following you around."

Bimpe added, "Abi oo, you'll kuku go and join your friend in heaven, you..."

Just then we heard a bang from the door, I exchanged looks with the girls while Ann shook, apparently, she was scared. The bang became persistent.

"Go and open the door," Bimpe ordered Ann who shook her head as she sat glued on the chair with her body shaking like someone experiencing convulsions.

"Oga oo, see the way you're shaking," I hissed before standing up, opening the door, my eyes widened to its fullest extent, I stared back at the girls who were already behind me, our eyes bulged out seeing the people at door, Ann squeezed her eyes shut.

"Won't you welcome us?"
