BROOKES POV

I walked through the front door  being greeted by my annoying brother Chase smirking and taking a bite of his apple.

''What are you smiling at dweeb?'' I rolled my eyes grabbing a glass and filling it with water.

''Nothing, '' he chuckled

''Weirdo...''

''Whatever'' he said and made his way out of the kitchen

''Wait!'' I yelled he stopped at the doorway and turned towards me

''What do you know about Michael Clifford?'' I asked biting my lip and fiddling with a strand of my hair.

''Knew you were going to ask someday''

''Well... are you going to tell me?''

''Whats in it for me?''

''Nothing,''

''Fine i wont tell you'' he started to move again

''FINE !! I'll give you a ride to school everyday this week.''

''and back?''

''and back.''

''And do my chores for a week?''

''Ew no get lost'' 

''Fine... I'll tell you.''

That was probably the first time in forever since me and my brother had that long of a conversation. I learned that Michael worked in a record store downtown , he's an alright guy whos helped my brother out a lot when the other jocks were trying to beat him up. He hasn't really done anything that bad for him to get the reputation he has apart from the way he looks. He is in a band called 500 years of winter... I already knew that one but I found out his band mates were the guys from school the other week ago. He has also been with quite a lot of girls in his time but apparently according to my brother I'm a whole lot of different from them... Which I couldn't tell if it was a compliment or a insult.

''You know there's a party tonight...''

''I'm not helping you sneak out Chase'' I rolled my eyes sitting down on our sofa and reaching for the remote.

''No no... well yeah but thats not the point , I was just wondering... so god help me for asking you this but do you want to come?''

''Ew no I wouldn't be caught dead at one of your ner-''

''Michaels going to be there''

''... Where is it?'' I asked my attention going straight to my brother.

''At some guys Calum house''

''Why are you being nice to me and inviting me?''

''Can't I do anything nice for my sister?'' he rolled his eyes

''Bu-''

''Are you going to come or not?''

''I'll be there'' I said and ran up the stairs to change.

I didn't know what to aspect at the party I was attending so I just threw on some black denim shorts that had little black stars on the pocket lining and a black lowcut top, I left my hair down and just added a slight bit of make up not really bothered to get too dolled up as no one would really be there and I'd rather just blend into the crowd for once.

''Wow ... what have you done to my sister?'' Chase asked

''What?'' I rolled my eyes

''You look... different''

''Shut up you kept yelling my name so I threw on whatever''

''No no I like it,you look... normal?'' he laughed I rolled my eyes again and walked out of the door with him.

''How are we getting the-...'' I stopped speaking when i saw the black range rover outside my house.

''Lukes taking us'' relief washed over me as I was reassured that it wasn't Michaels car. I wanted to see Michael I mean thats the whole reason I was going to this damn party but I was still scared? nervous? in seeing him and I have no reason to be.  Chase opened the back door and slid into the car I followed him and my eyes widened as I saw who was on the other side of Chase.

.... Ava???

Ava's P.O.V

Me and Luke have been dating for a good 3 months now  yeah having a secret relationship is hard work especially because I'm living two lives. I love cheerleading its a great sport and a great hobby plus my mum forces me too do it;oh the joy. But I also love hanging out with Luke and his friends and going to concerts and just living the life of a normal teen and not be perfect all the time. I haven't told anyone about Luke I'm scared of what they will think I might get kicked off the squad then my mum will definitely stop me from seeing Luke. 

Tonight I was going to a party at Calums house with Luke which will be fun. I was wearing some black high wasted shorts and had a black tank top which had white writing on it and put one of Lukes green flannel shirts he left at mine .We pulled up in front of Chases drive and I climbed in the back seat since we will be picking up Michael later. The door opened and Chase gave me a smile which I returned he took a seat in the middle and I gave him a questioning look but then my eyes widened as I was face to face with Brooke?! Oh god what was she doing here!!.

Brooke's P.O.V

This could not be happening why in hell would Ava be here? I've known Ava my whole life and shes never looked so different? I guess I really don't know her at all... but why was she here? Why was she carpooling with Luke and my brother more importantly why the hell was she going to the party? So many questions were flying around inside my head but I couldn't put the words out of my mouth so we all just drove in a awkward silence. Nobody was in the passenger side of the car which made me think somebody else would be getting picked up... which made me feel a little bit uneasy surely Chase would of mentioned if Michael was going to be in the same car wouldn't he?

The car stopped once again and Luke got out his phone and tapped the screen a bit , he was probably sending a text. I looked out the window and sure enough we were outside of Michales house it still confused me how he lived in the most expensive area ... and his parents had really important jobs and yet Michael looked like he did... a total poplar opposite. I watched as no other then Michael walked out of his house wearing his signature black skinny's and a black top. His hair was all messy just the way it was and it made me wonder how he looked so good in just a simple outfit.. He walked to the passenger side and opened the door sitting in greeting Ashton , with a nod. He looked back and his eyes opened a little more as he looked at me , he smirked at me then said hi to Chase me and Ava. The car jolted forward and we were on our way again.

We arrived at the party and there were already huge amounts of people drinking on the driveway. We could hear the music blasting from a couple of streets away. We all got out of the car and I swallowed hard looking at the people who had come to the party... none of them were people I talked to they were all big built with tattoos , piercings and were wearing casual clothes. I sort of felt overdressed but brushed it off. Chase walked over to a group of people who were calling his name I felt my feet drag me forward to follow him but somebody caught my wrist , I turned around and Michael smirked. I pulled my wrist away from him and he wrapped his arm around my waist pulling me close to him.

''Want a drink?'' he whispered into my ear multiple people began looking in our direction I had no idea why. I nodded at Michael and he lead me towards the door and inside the kitchen which was packed with people shouting , drinking , making public affection. Michael got us some drinks... us meaning me , Luke and Ava. Michael told me to stay with Ava while him and Luke go inform Calum they had arrived I wanted to protest because

A) He wasn't the boss of me
B) I hate being told what to do
C) I didn't want to be left in this awkward situation with Ava.

 Instead I kept my mouth shut and nodded at him. After all I didn't want to get on the wrong side of anyone here i'm pretty sure everyone already hates me here. Me and Ava just stood there in silence looking around at the other party guests , I wasn't much of a drinker but I kept taking sips of the substance Michael had gotten me I was nervous , anxious and confused to why Ava came here and looked how she did so I just kept drinking too stop myself from speaking. I looked up from my cup and Ava smiled looking away I returned the smile and looked the other way... awkward.  A few minutes after a naked guy came running through the kitchen yelling

''I'M JESUS... LET THERE BE LIGHT'' I looked at Ava and Ava looked at me and we burst out into giggles.

''Jheez I can't take this why aren't we talking?'' Ava asked

''I don't know...'' I said and Ava sighed.

''Why are you here?'' 

''Um....I-''

''I didn't mean it in a rude way i'm just... wondering'' 

''Its fine. I'm here actually because I'm dating Luke.'' she laughed along I nearly choked on my drink when the words came out of her mouth..

''How?... When?... What?'' I asked , Ava laughed again

'' I live two lives I guess , I'm that preppy cheerleader and then I'm me... we've been dating for three months now , I know I should of told you but i didn't know what you would say.''

''That's fine I understand but... i'm just a little surprised''

''You're not going to kick me off the team are you?'' she joked

''Of course not.'' I smiled , she smiled back and looked at the floor once again.

''You wont tell anyone will you?'' 

''Not if you don't want me to'' i smiled. 

It was silent for a few moments I just tried to get my mind around the fact one of my best friends had a double life and i never knew about it.

''Don't you want to know why i'm here?'' I joked

''Oh we all know why your here'' Ava giggled

''What?'' I raised my eyebrows.

Ava rolled her eyes and pointed to a group of guys not any group of guys it was Calum , Luke , Ashton and Michael... Michael was staring at me and as I looked over he shook his head , bit his lip and looked down embarrassed.

''Oh no i-''
