"NAMJOON! HE HAD THE AUDACITY TO SUICIDE LEA AND SAY HE DIDN'T!!"
Geongmin stared at disgust at the 'partners in crime', Felix and Dahyun.
"YOU SUCK DAHYUN! HOW DARE YOU LET SOMEONE IN THE PALACE SEE YOU?!?!?" Geongmin flinched at the red haired boy's shout.
Dahyun rolled her eyes. "Not like you were checking out the chef when he was going to sleep. AND. YOU. HAD. A. LEGIT. SIXTEEN. SECONDS. OF. STARING. AT. EACH. OTHER. BEFORE. HE. PULLED. OUT. HIS. PHONE. TO. NOTIFY. THAT. 12 YEAR OLD. GUARD!" Dahyun spat at the male.
However, Felix was a calm person. "Well I escaped before the Beom guy came." He said cooly.
"WELL I DID TOO!" Dahyun shouted.
Geongmin shook her head, thinking about how the whole argument was useless and childish, when a childish voice interrupted her thoughts.
"Why are you two fighting?" A very innocent voice was heard.
"Um..." Felix spared a glance at Dahyun. "We were just talking about stuff." Felix tried to not worry the younger.
But you guys literally said 'Not like you were checking out the chef when he was going to sleep and you had a legit sixteen seconds of staring at each other before he pulled out his phone to notify that 12 year old guard." The boy recited EXACTLY what Dahyun had said.
"Okay, okay, woah." Felix was taken aback to the whole dictation. "We are on good terms. That is it, child"
"But it seems like you-"
"Shut the f-, shut it kid." Felix walked away from the annoying child. "Child, your first job is to take care of the person here."
"Thank you!" Geongmin heard a happy voice from the room beside her. Maybe the child's job was to take care of her?
As if it was on cue, the door opened wider than its original spot, revealing a cute boy.
"Hi!" He waved with a smile. Geongmin couldn't smile back. Even though she tried so hard to force herself, it just wouldn't come up. So she just instead sat there, chained up with a blank face.
The boy then pouted. A pang of guilt hit her. She did a little wave, due to the guilt that was overcoming her.
Yet, the boy still pouted. "Smile."
Geongmin had the urge to roll her eyes, yet she didn't want to make the younger/older hurt. So instead, she gave a weak smile. "So what do you want." She spoke in a hoarse voice, since she didn't have that much water to drink. Felix, Dahyun and a few other people she didn't know had only gave her one cup every two days.
"I was assigned a job! And that job was to keep an eye on you!" He said with a cheery voice. "Kim Taehyung." He randomly said out of the blue, so Geongmin just assumed it was his name.
Geongmin didn't respond with her name, but just a question. "What did they tell you."
"What?" Taehyung was confused.
"What did they say in order for you to work for them." She explained bluntly.
"Oh!" Taehyung exclaimed, finally getting what Geongmin asked. "He just said that he would be sad if I didn't help him! I don't wanna make someone sad! And he also said I might get the chance to meet 6TS! Finally meet my dreams after writing millions of songs!"
Geongmin would punch this guy if she wasn't bounded down. She wanted to spit at him, for going such deep down into a dangerous trap, just because of happiness and his idol. What's the logic in his explanation? You clearly wouldn't just help someone take care of a slave just because of your idol and the sake of a persons happiness!
After Geongmin went over the explanation in her brain 100 times, she finally came to a conclusion. This particular boy was innocent.
Geongmin groaned, as she shifted her position in the chains. "What time is it?" Of course, she has lost track of time, without a clock, or a watch. She didn't even know what date it was, or what year.
"Oh!" He started off, looking at his watch. "Its 7:46! Woah, that's late!"
Geongmin was pretty annoyed at the boy who kept talking in exclamation marks. "Isn't it close to your bedtime?" She jeered, knowing nothing about the boy who stood in front of her.
"Um, my bedtime is at 10pm, so I can have more time to get to know you."
Seriously, what type of guard would want to know about their slave. And wow, this young man has his bedtime at 10? Geongmin was expecting earlier, since this boy acted so childish. She didn't even want to deal with this annoying Taehyung.
"Why did you even come here?" Geongmin snapped, having enough of it. But she immediately regretted it, as she saw the drastic change of expression on Taehyung's face. He looked like he was about to cry.
No response was heard from the boy.
"Wh-what happened?" Geongmin knew it was the wrong question to ask, but nothing else really came to her head in order to get an answer out of Taehyung.
"HE BETRAYED ME!" He overreacted a bit, bursting into tears.
"I'm sorry, but who?" Geongmin asked, staying calm to the boy's reaction.
"NAMJOON! HE HAD THE AUDACITY TO SUICIDE LEA AND SAY HE DIDN'T!!" He wailed, Geongmin flinching because Felix was most likely to hear this.
Geongmin was a hundred more steps into believing that he was innocent.
"N-Namjoon?" She managed to get out, despite all the surprise she had to take in, "And do you even know what suicide is?" Taehyung stopped, he clenched his fists in anger and in sadness.
"SUICIDE IS ANOTHER WORD FOR MURDERING. AND YES NAMJOON. HE. SUICIDED. LEA. AND. I. THOUGHT. WE COULD. BE FRIENDS." Geongmin shook her head as she tried to process what he was saying. Could it really be Namjoon murdering this Lea girl? Or did Lea suicide herself and Taehyung thought it was murdering.
"Um, that's not what it means Taehyung." Geongmin explained. "It means to murder yourself."
"Namjoon told me that. I won't believe him." He huffed, crossing his arms stubbornly.
"Wait. Namjoon? As in Kim Namjoon?" Geongmin curiously asked, making sure she was thinking of the correct person. Seeing the nod and Taehyung's flaring eyes, she knew it was a 'yes'.
"How do you know him." His voice suddenly came unexpectedly dark, the girl opposite him feeling the dark aura coming off him.
"Ummm." Geongmin processed, debating whether she should tell the boy or not. "Why would I need to tell you, kid.'
"Hey! Don't call me a kid! I'm 15 years old." He exclaimed in offense, while Geongmin was surprised that the 'kid' was the same age as her. "What's with that look?" He sassily asked Geongmin.
"I-I just-" Geongmin was surprised by two facts. Namjoon might've killed someone, and he was the same age as her.
"CHILD!!" A loud call rang down the place. "COME HERE. I HAVE BEEN CALLING YOU FOR THE PAST 5 MINUTES."
"WHAT? IM SO SORRY FELIX HYUNG, I'M COMING RIGHT NOW!" Taehyung looked panickily at Geongmin, and in a few seconds, he was out of Geongmin's sight.
Geongmin sighed, her head going through the events that just happened. Usually, she would just follow a certain, boring routine, but somehow today was different. She was one step closer to finding Namjoon. Her eyes slowly closed, Namjoon in her mind.
"WATEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR~~~" Some music woke Geongmin up, as she looked up, meeting eyes with the boy she met yesterday
"DID YOU WAKE HER UP WITH WATER CHILD?" Felix called down.
"YES I DID!" Taehyung evilly smiled at Geongmin, and Geongmin accidentally smiled back. What Felix meant was to wake up Geongmin with a bucketful of water, but Taehyung ended up playing Water by 6TS.
Felix entered the room to see Geongmin and Taehyung smiling and to hear that the song 'Water' was playing. He started scolding Taehyung, like if Taehyung was Felix's child. "I told you to wake her up with WATER, child, not the SONG."
"Well," Taehyung replied sheepishly, "You didn't specify? I thought you meant the song!"
"Fine, I'll let it pass, especially someone is appreciating the band that I created. I am now moved to manager position though." Felix complained with a little hint of pout. "Anyways, you girl, you stay here, child, come with me, I got your first task for you."
"Ooh!" Taehyung smiled as he followed Felix out of the room, leaving Geongmin once again bored.
"Okay, take this, child." Felix handed him a lighter. "I want you to set fire to the palace, so-"
"What?" Taehyung cut Felix off. "The one that was abandoned and demolished?"
Felix gave a look to Dahyun, then started whispering to each other. "Should we tell him? Tell him about the prince?"
"Nah." Dahyun looked over at Taehyung. "Tell him part, but not about the prince."
"Okay." Felix spoke out loud again. "Let me tell you. It is not demolished. It is still perfectly intact, it plays a trick on your eyes. So I need you to take this, and set it on fire. We already tried so many times to sneak there. The queen is still living there. Her servants are also still living there. We need them to know now, that something is coming for them."
Taehyung reluctantly took the lighter. "Why though? Wouldn't they just put more attention to anything around them?"
"Stop asking questions, you do as I say." Felix put a finger on Taehyung's mouth. As Taehyung was about to walk out of the door, Felix spoke up. "Also, there is no 6TS song called Fire, so do not play a song."
Taehyung nodded, his head rushing with ideas. 'What if the word 'water' in 6TS' song was replaced with 'Fire'?'
Leaving, he pulled his hoodie over his head. He knew that the 'broken down' palace was just a 20 minute walk from where they were. Passing by buildings, he saw a sight of Huening Kai's primary school.
It literally stabbed him in the heart. Seeing all the students run out of their classrooms. He wondered was he going to get expelled for not going to school for nearly a week? Then his eyes caught with another. Huening Kai.
Taehyung started running, as if his death was chasing after him. Rushing, afraid if Huening Kai came chasing after him.
Once he reached to the abandoned places, he was puffed out. Looking carefully behind him, he made sure that Huening Kai didn't follow him.
Inspecting the whole place, he wondered how Felix found out the palace was still intact. There was a person standing in from of the gate.
"Hey," The blonde-haired man started speaking. Taehyung started panicking. "...you Jungkook?"
"Jeon Jungkook?" He accidentally said out loud.
"Yup, you can enter." The man who was way older than Taehyung pushed open the gate, letting 'Jungkook' (Taehyung) inside.
'How did he mess up me and Jungkook? Maybe the same hoodie?' Taehyung overthought as he walked into the place. He was already inspecting every corner of the place. Plants everywhere, statues of the previous kings. It was a shame that the family is going 'to an end'.
Taehyung then walked to what he assumed was the entrance of the 'abandoned' palace. There was another ma- boy sitting there, eating some chips.
"Ummm." Taehyung started off with a deep voice, not knowing what to say. "Can I enter?"
"No." He slurred. "You can exit."
Taehyung looked at him with a confused face. What was he meant to do? Stay? Leave? Go to the back so he could set fir-
"I mean, enter, sorry Jungkook." He sleepily said, as he rolled over to his side.
"Yeah sorry." A person came over which Taehyung assumed to be another guard. "He mixes up his 'enter' and 'exit', besides that, he's a very 12 year old good guard.
Taehyung's eyes widened. 12 year old? How could a 12 ye-.
A soft groan interrupted Taehyung's thoughts. Looking down, he saw the 12 year old laid down, his eyes closed.
"He must be tired." Taehyung muttered to himself. "Guard, can you take over him?" He ordered as if he was the boss. "I'm going to put him into his bed, can you please tell me where it is?"
"Oh. If you go in the turn right, it is the last one on the right." The guard gave instructions, his hands signaling the directions.
"Thank you!" Taehyung exclaimed, bowing to the older man. He tried to scoop up the little boy without waking him up. Hoping that the black/browned haired boy would not slip off, he stirred.
Taehyung quickly followed through the directions, ending up in front of a blue door, that had the simple gold word 'Beomgyu'. The door slowly creaked open, revealing a baby blue themed room. To Taehyung, it gave off a simple, cozy vibe.
Taehyung, carefully but riskly holding Beomgyu in one hand, he flipped off the cover and placed him softly on the bed, putting the blanket over him.
Leaving the room, he saw someone else also leaving another room. Taehyung had the urge to call out to him. It was Jin. The Jin that he met at the store. The blonde haired boy who gave him the cheese.
Watching him, Taehyung slowly sneaked to the door, peaking him. It was a kitchen. Taehyung evilly smiled as he walked in, looking around at all the food.
Checking for signs of people or security cameras, he took the lighter out of his pocket, looking for somewhere suitable for a fire to start. Looking, he saw the stove. His smile grew larger like a fire.
Hearing the satisfying click of the stove, he found another way to not hurt people but to follow Felix's word, to 'smoke' something. The fire started, flying up. For some reason turning on the stove was satisfying to Taehyung. He always says that induction stoves sucks.
Still smiling, he left the place, he didn't need a song to annoy Felix.
