***Sebastian's POV***
"I love you." My lips touch Mark's forehead softly. I swear I have never felt so many intense emotions in one moment.
"I know." The cocky tone of his heavy breathing is enough to make me want to stay inside of him. I know that I can't. We have shit that absolutely has to get to done.
"Shut up." I chuckle into his mouth. God, I don't know why I put up with his shit sometimes.
My eyes roll as a brief reminder of exactly why comes into play. Mark chokes my cock as he tightens his ring around my girth. Okay, this is definitely one of the reasons he can be himself.
"If you don't hurry up and cum, you're not getting to." Mark barks his hollow threat towards me. Just before I can reply, his hips rise above my own. With a quick thrust up, I explode into the love of my life.
I flip us over, grabbing Mark's angry cock in my fist. I purposefully give him a squeeze before rapidly shifting the position of my hand up and down his throbbing dick. Mark throws his head back against the bed. As his eyes roll, I smile. Mark's body shudders as he explodes for me.
Swiftly, I lean down to kiss him before sliding out of his pulsing hole. My own cocky arrogance comes to visit as Mark repeatedly trembles on the bed. I laugh when he pants into a pillow that he pulls over his face.
"Lot of things to do. No time to do them in." I sing the mantra while heading towards the bathroom.
"Have a lot more time if someone didn't bother to edge us every fucking time we have sex." Mark's loud and boisterous accusation means absolutely nothing to me. Mark likes that I take my time. Don't let him try to fool you.
I shower as quickly as possible, leaving the water on for Mark. If we shower together, we aren't getting a single thing done today. Mark pops my ass on his way into the bathroom. I throw him a playful glare as I escape into our room.
Once we are finally finished getting ready, I look at the time. We aren't early by any means. However, we have plenty of time to get to our first appointment without additional road rage to slow us down.
Mark follows behind me, locking the living room door as we enter the hallway outside of our penthouse.
"How many things did you say were on the list?" Mark looks at me sadly as if that will make our errands any less significant.
"A handful, baby. Remember how we procrastinated yesterday? Well, today we have to pay our penance. Just smile and get through it." I pull my love into my arms for a small kiss to his lips. I can feel him succumb to my astounding persuasion.
The first thing on our list is breakfast. In the interest of time, we pick up a to-go order from the bistro beside our penthouse. We eat quietly as I drive us towards our first appointment. My doctor's appointments have gotten more sparse but they have not completely disappeared. It's only a check-up.
I remember when these meetings held more anxiety. My health has continually become more stable. This is as routine as a optometry appointment or even getting a pedicure.
As expected, we send less than fifteen minutes in the waiting room. The consultation with my oncologist takes even less time. Before we know it, we are back in the car headed towards the next item on our agenda.
"I never get tired of hearing how well you are doing." Mark looks at me as we exit the medical center parking lot.
"I can't say that I am disappointed either." I give him the most reassuring smile that I have. This cancer shit was definitely nothing that I had planned for my life. The odds of beating my diagnosis were profoundly lower than me succumbing to the death sentence. Yet, here I am. I attribute that fact hugely to Mark and our family. Without their support, I would literally not be where I am today.
We pull up to the our next stop faster than I expected. Sometimes, I know I get lost in my moments with Mark. I find that we are so intertwined that we often lose the scenery around us while just the two of us exist. Honestly, it can't be that safe especially if you are manning a vehicle. I guess we all get lost in thought between point A and point B. At least that is what I tell myself.
"Is this where Gavin and Mak have decided for us to get married?" Mark looks around the extravagant venue with wide eyes. I laugh quietly at his reaction. His annoyance is nothing less than what I had expected. Mark made it very clear he wanted small and intimate. This place screams extravagance.
"I'm not sure. This is the address that we were instructed to meet at. Before you get frustrated, let's just find out what the plan is." I take Mark's hand inside of my own before leading him towards the entrance.
The place is gorgeous but I am skeptical that this is a bit over the top for what Mark and I had intended. The entrance alone is much more ornate than I would generally be drawn to. The size of the foyer seems more fitting for what I personally had planned.
We walk through the entrance with both of us holding our breaths. I see Mak come towards me with a pleading face. I imagine he has an idea what is running through my mind. Mark's look of intense discomfort is more than explanatory of his opinion regarding the substantial building that is now surrounding us.
"Just stay calm. Please. This is Gavin's first choice. We are going to keep an open mind." Mak rushes through his disclaimer with about as much confidence as he can. I feel bad for the tiny guy. He looks to be completely uncomfortable.
"Hey. Hey. Hey." Gavin bounces across the room with a fairy like twinkle in his gait. I may be able to hold my resistance back. Mark, however, may not be able to keep the incredulous glare off his face. I grab his hand to steady the growing nerves inside of his chest.
"Hi." Mark grits through the greeting without any true aggression. That is at least something. God knows, as do I, that Mark is less than pleasant when he is backed into a corner.
"Enough of the pleasantries. Let's begin." Gavin ignores Mark's growing tension while leading us towards some place that appears to hide behind door number one. I groan under my breath as the doors swing open with dramatic effect.
"No. Hell to the mother fucking no." Mark shouts out his disapproval immediately. I can't say that I blame him. The ball room is absolutely nauseating. Flowers drip down like curtains, cascading from the ceiling to the floor. The whole scene screams My Super Sweet Sixteen.
"Hush." Gavin waves away Mark as if he isn't openly contesting one of the groom's adamant wishes.
"Mak, get your side kick. I'm not playing." Mark turns slowly around in the room. As his eyes meet each detail I am not shocked by the continuous string of profanities that whisper off of his sweet lips.
"If you would quit vetoing the room, you would see that it is merely a path to the true venue." Gavin glares at me as he pulls Mark towards another set of double doors. I breathe a small sigh of relief. Not much could be worse than that room.
"It's a bit under rated, however, I see potential." Mak stands to the side after leading me into the most perfect of spaces that I have ever laid eyes on. My mouth pops open gently as the lush green grass covers the ground as far as the eye can see.
"Oh, thank God." Mark smiles his first genuine smile as he walks further into the beautiful landscape.
"Keep following, almost there." Gavin huffs a little as he walks up the hill. I have to admit, even for me, the terrain is a bit difficult to navigate without a deep breath.
"If I would have known we were going on a hike, I would have packed a protein bar." I playfully grumble.
"You don't need a damn snack. It's right her you big baby." Gavin spins around on us opening his arms towards what is most definitely the creme de la creme of venues.
The space is simple yet elegant. My eyes scan the sky line where the sun must find the most complimentary place to set. The trees rustle gently with branches that drag across the ground as if they were fingertips across cool water. Wisteria is woven in and out of the branches of the grapevines and weeping willows.
If I had to picture my dreamscape wedding, this most certainly would be where my mind would drag me. The rolling hills of green grass keep your eyes following until you see the utmost beauty of God's creation.
Tucked on the highest hill of what could only be a pasture, a small canopy of white roses is hidden beneath a blanket of green covering. The arch that holds up the spread of flowers barely peaks from beneath the foliage. My eyes hardly register the tiny flowers that suddenly send a cloud of sweet fragrance wafting up my nose. The honey suckles lazily sway with the wind that seems to be secluded to this very field.
"It's breathtaking." Mark holds his arms crossed over his chest while he scans the complete scene in front of us.
"Is that a yes?" Mak looks like he may be easily blown over by a feather. I have to admit that I am also shocked that Mark seems to be signing off with his approval.
"Hell yes. Yes." Mark nods his head just as loudly as he proclaims his acceptance.
"That was easier than expected." It is Mak that heaves out a very stale breath of anticipation.
We take our time walking the grounds. Mak and Gavin spend a decent amount of time pointing out spaces and filling them with imaginary props for our nuptials. Mark gets deeply into the entire charade as he brings in his own ideas.
Among those, floating lanterns are suggested by my future husband. I excitedly agree thinking of how the dim lighting will highlight the features on Mark's face that I find to be most alluring. Of course, I do believe Mark is gorgeous in any light. However, when it is just the two of us in the shadows of warm candlelight, that is when I find my love to be breathtaking.
"Next up is the cake tasting. I honestly don't want to spend too much time emphasizing the food. There will so much of it that no one could hope to be unfulfilled. Either way, meet us at Fifth and Park. They are expecting us in an hour." Mak rushes through his instruction with little resistance from us.
I have been waiting on this appointment all morning. I love food. Cake tasting alone is a great reason to plan a wedding.
"I'm hoping we can find a cake with several layers. I want a couple different choices of flavors." Mark follows beside as we make our way back to the vehicle.
"Whatever you want, we can have." I honestly don't mind what Mark chooses. As long as he is standing at the end of the aisle, we can eat sponge cake for all that I care.
"Let's just make it on time. I'm positive we will find something that suits both of our needs." Mark leans over the seat to kiss me before buckling his seatbelt.
I can't help but chuckle when I see Mark on his phone looking for wedding decorations. Maybe putting Gavin in charge of this whole deal wasn't our worst idea. The venue is spectacular. I'm positive the cake will be easy as pie to pick out.
I look over at Mark with that familiar spirit of love emanating off of his form. I swear, there is no way I will ever get tired of looking at Mark Fletcher. Everything he portrays about himself is nothing less than my type of perfection.
