Hayden is eating breakfast at the table with Laila in her high chair. Hayden has been asking for a long time for a cat but Kevin and Tara didn't think it was the perfect time.

However, Kevin and Tara have decided that is the perfect time to adopt a cat from the shelter and surprise Hayden!

"Do you have any tests today?" Tara asks as she begins to clean up the kitchen. "No, not today!" Hayden says as he hands Tara his empty bowl.

"Thank you baby, go get your shoes on, the bus will be here soon." Tara says as she picks up Laila and cleans up her high chair.

Kevin tickles Hayden as he puts his shoes on. "Will you be home when I get home today, Daddy?" Hayden asks and Kevin nods.

"Yes, sir! I will be home, tour doesn't start until the summer time." Kevin says as he makes sure Hayden's shoes are on right.

The school bus honks its horn and Hayden grabs his book bag. He hugs and kisses Tara and Kevin. "Bye, bud! Have a fun day at school!" Kevin says.

"Bye Hayden, have a great day! Be good!" Tara says as she and Kevin watch Hayden walk onto the school bus.

Kevin works on music for two hours and then he gets dressed and ready to go to the local animal shelter. "Do you need anything, babe?" Kevin asks Tara as he kisses Laila's cheek.

"No babe, I'm fine. Be careful. Say bye bye to Daddy, Laila. Daddy is going to find us a kitty!" Tara says and Laila claps her hands.

"Kitty!" Laila says as Kevin kisses her cheeks. "I'll be back with one soon! Love you, babe. Call me if you need anything." Kevin says as he kisses Tara.

Kevin drives the ten minute drive to the animal shelter. Kevin walks into the shelter and finds a small Maine Coon kitten. She is the only cat at the shelter. She is sitting in the corner and is licking her paws.

"Hello! This is Luna and she is a Maine Coon kitten. She is the last of her litter!" The worker says as she smiles at Kevin and Luna the kitten.

"My son has been wanting a cat and my wife and I finally decided to adopt one." Kevin says.

"Adoption is free for the whole month! We also give you a bag of food and other supplies your pet would need!" The worker says and Kevin smiles.

"What's this little kitten's name?" Kevin asks the worker as the worker hands him the small kitten to hold.

"We named her Luna!" The worker says. "I would like to adopt, Luna." Kevin says as Luna sniffs and purrs at Kevin.

"Aw, that's wonderful! You have a family now, Luna! Let's get the paper filled out and she will be all yours!" The worker says proudly as she, Kevin and Luna go to the office as Kevin fills out the adoption papers.

An hour later, Kevin brings in the small Maine Coon kitten, Luna into the house with everything the little Luna would need.

Tara walks in from the laundry room and smiles at Kevin and Luna sitting on the floor.

Luna is playing with a mouse toy. Luna is one years old, has brown hair, and green eyes. Her one ear is smaller then the other and she has a shorter tail.

"What a cutie pie! Is it a boy or a girl, Kev?" Tara says as she pets Luna.

"It's a girl and she is one years old. She was last one out of the litter to be adopted." Kevin says as he sets up her small pink bed and a box full of toys.

"Laila just went down for her nap, finally. Hi baby kitten. What did the shelter name her?" Tara says as she kisses the kitten's forehead.

"They named her Luna, didn't Hayden like that name for a cat?" Kevin asks and Tara happily nods.

"She is so perfect, Kevin. What a little sweetheart." Tara says as she kisses Luna's head softly.

"She is. I felt so bad, she was the only cat there." Kevin says as Luna sits on Tara's lap.

"Aw, poor baby girl! She is so soft. I love her little ear. She is precious. That's so sad nobody wanted to adopt her." Tara says as she covers up Luna with a blanket.

"Hayden is going to flip out that he finally got him a cat." Kevin says as he pets Luna.

"Let's feed you some lunch, Luna and then we can snuggle!" Tara says as she hands Luna to Kevin.

Tara puts the food in the bowl and Luna begins to eat. Tara and Kevin take a lot of pictures of Luna as they watch her explore the house.

A few hours later, Hayden gets off of the school bus. Kevin quickly hides Luna in the bathroom and sits back on the couch with Laila and Tara. Hayden walks into the house and takes his shoes off.

"Hey, baby! How was your day?" Tara asks as Hayden walks into the living room.

"It was good!" Hayden says as he sits on the floor with Laila, who is playing with her toys.

Kevin walks behind Hayden and begins to tickle him.

"Daddy!" Hayden says as he hugs Kevin. "Hey! Did you have fun at school today?" Kevin asks Hayden.

"Yes! Hudson and I played kick ball with the older kids!" Hayden says with a big smile. "That's sounds like a lot of fun!" Kevin says as he tickles Laila.

"Daddy and I have a surprise for you, Hayden!" Tara says as Hayden sits next to her on the couch.

"Really? What is it?" Hayden asks his parents. "Close your eyes!" Tara says as Hayden covers his eyes with his hands.

Kevin quietly opens the bathroom door and grabs Luna. Kevin kisses her forehead and brings her into the living room.

"Okay, you can open your eyes." Kevin says and Hayden opens his eyes. Hayden sees Kevin holding Luna in his arms.

"A kitty! Thank you Mommy and Daddy!" Hayden says as he hugs Tara and Kevin.

"You're welcome, bud! Are you surprised?" Kevin asks and Hayden happily nods.

"Her name is Luna." Tara says as Hayden plays with Luna. Laila holds Luna's tail and plays with it.

"Don't touch her tail, Laila. Be gentle with Luna." Kevin says and Laila hugs Luna.

"How old is she?" Hayden asks as he pets Luna. "She is one years old. She is a Maine Coon cat." Kevin says and Hayden smiles.

"Thank you Mommy and Daddy, I love Luna!" Hayden says. "Me too! Kitty soft!" Laila says as she kisses Luna.

"You're welcome. Luna has been having fun since Daddy brought her home. She ate and has been exploring the house!" Tara says and Hayden giggles.

Hayden holds a toy and Luna jumps and grabs the toy. "We can go to the pet store tomorrow after school to buy more things for Luna. Sound fun?" Kevin asks and Hayden nods as he plays with his new friend.

Tara posts a picture of Luna, Hayden and Laila. Hayden has Luna in his lap. Tara has the caption as: "Welcome to the Olusola family, Luna! Hayden is so happy to finally have a kitty! Luna is such a beautiful kitten, and so sweet to the kids. Kevin and I are so grateful to have this little kitty in our family! 🐱"

Kevin posts a picture of Luna sleeping in his lap. He writes the caption as: "Meet Luna 💖. Tara and I decided to adopt a kitten. Hayden has been wanting a kitten for almost a year now! Luna was the last kitten at the animal shelter and I am so happy to finally give her a home. The kids have fallen in love with Luna! Welcome to our family, Luna 🐱🌙"

Hayden is so happy to finally have a kitten! :)
