Scott and Alex are at the gym for their weekly workout together. Scott has been noticing how down Alex has been looking lately. Alex's ex broke up with him six months ago and Alex hasn't been the same since.

"What's wrong, Lex?" Scott asks Alex as he begins to lift his weights.

"I don't know. I just have been down and lonely lately." Alex says.

"Whys that?" Scott says finishing his rep.

"I think I'm ready to start dating again. I'm finally over my ex. Do you know anyone who'd be interested?" Alex asks as he puts the weighs down.

"Actually, I might!" Scott says giggling.

"Oh yeah, and who's that?" Alex says giggling.

*Meanwhile at Mitch and Scott's house!*

Mitch and Jake are hanging out, watching movies and having lunch together. Two year old Liam is playing on the floor with Jake.

"Do you want something to drink, Liam?" Mitch asks. "Yes Daddy!" Liam says with a giggle.

"Jake, are you okay? I know you have been sad since your break up." Mitch says as he hands Jake his drink and Liam his drink.

"Thank you, Mitch. And, I am just so tired of being alone." Jake says with a sigh.

"I think Scott has a friend that's interested!" Mitch says showing Jake a picture of Alex. Jake smiles and Mitch smiles back.

A week later, Alex and Jake get ready for their date. They are both extremely nervous, but are excited to meet somebody new and possibly date them in the future.

Alex sits at the table waiting and Jake walks in. Alex smiles and stands up. Jake smiles and shakes Alex's hand.

"I'm Jake, it's so nice to finally meet you!" Jake says with a big smile on his face.

"Hey, Jake! I'm Alex. Great to meet you too! Scott told me a lot about you. Although, he left out an important part..."

"What's that?" Jake says shyly.

"How unmistakably handsome you are!" Alex says with a big smile. Jake sits down and Alex pushes his chair in.

"Thank you so much, so are you!" Jake says as he giggles in nervousness.

"I appreciate that. So tell me, how long have you lived in the Los Angeles area?" Alex says.

"I have lived in California my whole life, but Los Angeles for three years. How long have you lived in Los Angeles?" Jake says looking into Alex's chocolate brown eyes.

"For a couple years now. Lived in Arizona for my whole life until I graduated from college, but I just felt like I needed a fresh start, you know?" Alex says fixing his watch on his wrist.

"Yeah, I know the feeling! So, you know Scott. I'm good friends with his husband, Mitch. I guess they wanted their besties to hook up with each other." Jake says giggling again.

"Oh, are you? Small world, isnt it?" Alex says, letting out a small chuckle, "I think they made a pretty good choice, don't you?" Alex says and Jake nods as his cheeks get red.

"Hello, gentlemen. My name is Charity and I'll be your waitress this evening. May I start you off with any drinks?"

"I'll take a water please. Thank you." Jake says.

"I'll take a water as well, thank you Charity." Alex says.

"Would you two like any appetizers or anything while you wait?" Charity says getting her notepad ready.

"I'll have mozzarella sticks. Wanna share?" Jake asks.

"Of course! One order of your mozzarella sticks, please." Alex says handing Charity the appetizer menu.

"Very well. I'll be back shortly with your drinks and appetizer." Charity says walking off.

"Thank you." Alex and Jake say in unison.

"I should watch what I eat, but fuck it. Diets can wait until tomorrow." Jake says giggling.

"Haha, that's what I'm saying, Jakey! Get whatever you like, I'll pick up the tab!" Alex says looking into Jake's brown eyes.

"Alex! I can't let you do that! That's wrong!" Jake says. Jake can't believe how nice and sweet Alex is being. His ex surely wasn't this way!

"Yes, you can; just think of it as a gift for the most handsome man in this entire restaurant." Alex says smiling.

"Thank you Alex, that is so sweet of you!" Jake says blushing again.

"It's really no problem. So, what do you do for a living?" Alex asks.

"I work for Pentatonix, running their social media accounts and website. And what about you, cutie pie? With those perfect white teeth of yours." Jake says biting his lip and smiling.

"I'm actually in the film industry. I have a degree in film, so I get my work from travelling all over California to star in shooting movies, direct movies, and even scout talents." Alex says. Alex loves looking into Jake's eyes and looking at his gorgeous face.

"That sounds like fun! I love working with Mitch, Scott and their bandmates. I sometimes travel with them, but not usually." Jake says.

Charity the waitress arrives with the mozzarella sticks and two waters.

"Thank you so much, Charity!" Jake says

"Are you two ready to order?" Charity asks getting her notepad out again.

"I am, how about you?" Alex asks Jake.

"I am too! You first." Jake says softly

"I'll have an entire supreme pizza please." Alex says to Charity. 

Jake smirks. "You gonna eat all that yourself?" Jake says laughing at Alex.

"I could, but if your cute self wanted it, I'd give you the whole thing." Alex says rubbing Jake's hand.

"I guess that means you want to share, huh?" Jake says smirking at Alex. He loves that Alex is touching his hand. He loves Alex already!

"You've guessed right. You cool with that?" Alex asks Jake.

"Absolutely!" Jake says handing Charity his menu.

"Your largest supreme pizza, please. And that'll be all for us." Alex says handing Charity his menu.

"Lovely. I'll have it out for you in no time." Charity says with a grin and walks to another table.

"Thank you!" Alex and Jake say in unison.

"You are one of the sweetest guys I have ever met, Alex." Jake says quietly and soft.

"Thank you so much, Jake. Right back at you, baby." Alex says rubbing Jake's hand again.

Jake smiles. Jake begins to eat a mozzarella stick and holds one out for Alex.

Alex eagerly takes it. "They taste great! Aren't you glad we decided to share these?" Alex says as he sips his water.

"Yes I am. Your face is so perfect, no pimples. Sorry you have to look at my pepperoni face." Jake says looking down.

"There's not a thing wrong with your face. Not to me, anyway. If there were, I wouldn't be calling you 'the handsomest guy to step foot on this Earth', now would I?" Alex says grabbing another mozzarella stick.

"I guess not. I'm just not used to all the compliments. Thank you Alex." Jake says dipping his mozzarella stick in the marinara sauce.

"A damn male model like you isn't used to compliments? Now that's just illogical. Must be a lot of haters around you then." Alex says and Jake blushes again. Jake never felt this special before.

"Haha, yeah, there must be. Thank you." Jake says quietly as he smiles at Alex.

Charity brings the large pizza to the couple, and sets it on the table.

"Anything else I can get you, gentlemen?" Charity asks Alex and Jake.

"I am fine, thank you!" Jake says. "I'm good for now, thank you." Alex says.

"All right, if you need anything just wave me over, okay? Hope you enjoy!" Charity says walking off.

"Thank you!" Alex and Jake say as they dig into the pizza. Jake giggles at Alex.

"This pizza looks so good!" Alex says smiling.

Jake and Alex eat a few slices of pizza and continue to talk. They have a lot in common and are having fun, something they haven't had in months.

After almost two hours, it's time to leave and go home.

"I had a great time tonight Alex, thank you so much." Jake says smiling as he puts his jacket on.

"I argue that I had an even better time than you did. Haha." Alex says laughing hard.

"You are so cute! I had a fun time, cutie pie." Jake says fixing Alex's tie.

"No but really, thank you for coming out and spending time. I haven't had a good time like this in a while." Alex says rubbing Jake's shoulders.

"Aw, no problem! I haven't either! Well, you have my number, just text or call me whenever, okay?" Jake says hugging Alex. Jake smells Alex's cologne and falls in love.

"Of course. Oh, and Jake?"Alex says softly.

"Yes, Alex?" Jake says quietly.

Alex gently grasps Jake's face and plants a tender kiss on his lips. "I'd love to see you again. I'll text you, okay?" Alex says rubbing Jake's cheek.

"I'll call you when I get home. Be careful going home, Alex." Jake says smiling.

"You too, Jakey!" Alex says as he leaves.

Alex and Jake are in love! Once they got home, they texted all night and became boyfriends a week later :)
