Esther and Darien are finishing up Evalina's bedroom. After six months of waiting, it is time to bring their little girl home. "I can't wait to finally see her!" Darien says as he fixes the pillows on Evalina's small bed.

"Me too! I am really nervous, but I know she will be happy to have finally her forever home." Esther says as she hugs Darien. They only seen pictures of their new daughter and talked to her on the phone a few times.

Esther and Darien finish cleaning their house, and head to the adoption agency. "I hope Evalina feels comfortable with us." Darien says as he drives.

"I'm sure she will! It will take a few weeks for her to get adjusted, but I think she is happy to finally have a family." Esther says with a smile.

Darien parks at the adoption agency, kissing Esther's hand. "Are you ready?" Darien asks softly. "I am so ready. Let's go!" Esther says kissing Darien's cheek. Esther and Darien walk hand in hand into the adoption agency.

"Hello! How may I help you?" The receptionist asks. "We are here to finalize our daughter's adoption." Darien says smiling.

"Congratulations! I'll send you and your wife to floor three, where you can sign the paperwork!" The receptionist says as she sends a message to the social worker.

Darien and Esther head in the elevator and head into the waiting room.

"You feel okay?" Darien asks softly and Esther nods. After a twenty minutes later, the social worker calls Darien and Esther into the back. They head into a small office that's colorful.

"Hello, my name is Bianca Smith, Evalina's social worker. It is wonderful to finally meet you guys! Evalina has been very excited all day." Bianca says with a huge grin.

"We have been making sure everything in her bedroom is perfect. Our families cannot wait to meet her, and welcome her into our family." Esther says and Darien nods in agreement.

Bianca looks at all the paper work, making sure everything is perfect and in order. "This last forum will change Evalina's name on her social security card and birth certificate." Bianca says. Darien and Esther look the paper over and sign it and hand it to Bianca.

"It is official! As of today, this is Evalina Marie Koop!" Bianca says happily. Bianca's assistant walks in holding Evalina in her arms.

Evalina, has tan soft skin, with bright green eyes and black hair, which is down halfway down her back. Her hair is in a side braid and has a headband in it. Evalina is wearing bright blue leggings and a frozen t shirt, with white flats.

Bianca's assistant puts Evalina down. Esther and Darien try to keep their composure. They do not want to scare Evalina in any way. "Hi Evie! You have a family now!" Bianca says with a big smile.

Esther and Darien get on Evalina's level. "Hi sweetheart!" Darien says in a whisper. "Hi baby girl! You are so beautiful!" Esther says with tears in her eyes. Evalina slowly walks over to Esther and Darien and looks over at Bianca for reassurance.

"Mama? Daddy?" Evalina asks shyly. Esther and Darien nod as they cry. Evalina hugs Darien first. "Daddy?" Evalina says quietly. "Yes sweetheart, I am your Daddy. Now and forever. I love you so much!" Darien says hugging and kissing Evalina.

Evalina walks over and hugs Esther. "Mama?" Evalina asks. "Yes baby, I am Mama. And I love you!" Esther says kissing Evalina's cheek.

Bianca walks over to Evalina and Evalina hugs her. "I am going to miss you, Evie. But, I am so happy you have an amazing family now! I promise I will check up on you and visit, okay?" Bianca says. Evalina smiles, walking back over to Esther.

"Are you ready to go home, sweety?" Esther asks softly and Evalina nods. Esther picks up Evalina, and Evalina puts her head on Esther's shoulder.

"She still takes naps, about thirty minutes to an hour. Not everyday though. Depends on her day." Bianca says smiling at Esther and Darien. "Thank you so much Bianca, for allowing us to be Evalina's new parents." Darien says.

"You're welcome! You and Esther are the perfect fit. If you have anymore questions, feel free to call us." Bianca says handing Darien Evalina's bag with her belongings.

Esther and Darien head out to their car, and Esther buckles Evalina in her car seat. "Mama, blankey?" Evalina asks Esther. Darien hands Esther the purple and white blanket. "Here you go, sweety. We are going home!" Esther says kissing Evalina's forehead.

Esther sits in the back with Evalina and Darien begins to drive home. "Let's go home baby girl!" Darien says as he drivers.

Darien opens the door and Evalina walks in. "Welcome home Evalina!" Darien says as he helps her take off her shoes. "Do you want to see your bedroom, sweety?" Esther asks and Evalina nods as she runs upstairs.

Esther opens Evalina's bedroom door. "Pretty!" Evalina says walking up to bed. Darien and Esther smile at each other.

They are happy that Evalina is doing fine so far. Esther reads the paperwork the adoption agency wrote about Evalina. The papers had details about her biological family, her favorite foods, favorite TV shows and favorite color to name a few things.

"Mama?" Evalina says softly and Esther looks over at Evalina. "Yes Evie?" Esther says. "Can I go potty?" Evalina asks. "Of course, sweety! You don't have to ask." Esther says as she walks Evalina to the bathroom. "Daddy! Hug!" Evalina says as she smiles at Darien. Darien hugs Evalina tight.

"Love you, baby." Darien says. A few hours later, Darien makes Evalina a grilled cheese, one of her favorite food. "Is it good?" Darien asks and Evalina nods.

After dinner, Esther cleans Evalina up and puts her in fresh pajamas. Esther and Darien read Evalina two bedtime stories, and Evalina falls asleep. Esther and Darien tuck Evalina in, and kiss her cheek. "She seems to be adjusting well." Esther says whispers and Darien nods.

Esther and Darien relax on the couch until they go to bed. Welcome home Evalina :)
