Kate and Avi are packing up a bag for a long day at the hospital. Tobias and Abigail are both having surgery. Abigail is having an adenoidectomy and tonsillectomy while Tobias is having tubes being placed in his ears.

Kate is breastfeeding Jasper before she, Avi, Tobias and Abigail leave, since Jasper, Ezra, Wren and Israel are going to be watched by Nicole. Kate sets up a camera to vlog herself.

"Hello, Pentaholics! I hope all of you are having an amazing day! Avi and I are getting ready to head to the hospital. Abigail and Tobias are going to have surgeries to help them now and down the line. Abigail is getting her tonsils and adenoids removed. They get so swollen when she gets sick and she has trouble breathing. If you don't know, Abigail had cleft palette surgery when she was a baby. Her palette in her mouth wasn't fully there when she was born and her lip was open in the middle. The kid's pediatrician agreed that she needs to get them removed to help her breathe when she's sick. I never had mine removed so I don't know what to expect." Kate says as she begins to burp Jasper.

"Tobias is getting tubes in both of his ears. Poor guy, he has had nonstop ear infections since we brought him home. I'm hoping these tubes help him out, poor guy is so tired of his ears hurting." Kate says as Jasper smiles at her.

"Hi, handsome! Make sure you eat for Auntie Nicole! He's stubborn and likes to eat for certain people which is weird. However, I have noticed that Israel and Ezra did the same thing as babies and I was like that when I was little. Must be a family thing." Kate says as she giggles.

Tobias walks over and hugs Kate tightly. Kate smiles and kisses his cheek.

"Hi, Mama. Hi, camera!" Tobias says as he waves at the camera.

"Hi, bud. Are you ready for today?" Kate asks Tobias and he nods.

"I want my ears to finally stop hurting and nasty stuff coming out of them so I can feel better and do sports." Tobias says and Kate rubs his cheek.

"I know you do, bud. These tubes they are putting in your ears are going to help, I promise." Kate says as she kisses Tobias cheek again.

Avi and Abigail walk over and wave at the camera. Avi is holding Abigail in his arms. Abigail is a Daddy's girl while Tobias is a Mama's boy.

*Abigail and Tobias' outfits*

"Hi, Mama! Hi, Toby!" Abigail yells making Jasper jump in Kate's lap.

"Inside voice. You scared Jasper, Abby." Avi says as he kisses Abigail's cheek.

"Sworry, Jasper!" Abigail says to Jasper.

"It's okay, she didn't mean too. Hi, Abby. Are you ready to get your tonsils out?" Kate asks Abigail.

"Uh huh! They are big and weird." Abigail says making both Kate and Avi laugh.

"They will be gone today and you won't feel them anymore." Avi says to Abigail.

Kate, Avi, Abigail and Tobias load up in the car and drive the twenty minutes to the hospital.

Abigail and Tobias are all ready for their surgeries. They have their hospital gowns on and their surgical caps on.

"We are in the hospital! They put the kids in the same room, like how cute is that." Kate says as Tobias is playing with his Nintendo 3DS while Abigail is playing with Avi's iPhone. 

"Are they tubes gonna stick out of my ears?" Tobias asks Avi and Kate.

"No, they are going to be inside of your ears, they won't stick out." Avi says.

"Oh okay! That's good!" Tobias says with a smile.

Tobias and Abigail have gone back for their surgeries! Avi and Kate sit in the waiting room waiting for a doctor to come out to tell them they are okay.

"This is the worst part." Kate says as she sighs.

"I know, but it will be over before you know it. Everything is going to be okay." Avi says as he kisses Kate's cheek.

Avi and Kate watch Netflix shows while they wait patiently.

"Hello, Abigail! Did you take a nice nap! Your tonsils are all gone! We are going to your recovery room so you can rest!" Nurse Lindsay says to Abigail.

"My Daddy looks like Jesus." Abigail says as the nurses wheel her bed into the recovery room.

"Wow, does he? That is so cool!" Nurse Amber says even though Abigail won't remember anything from this.

Dr. Smith walks over to Avi and Kate who are anxiously waiting to see any doctor.

"Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Kaplan. Abigail is out of surgery now. Surgery went right on track and Abigail did just fine. She is a little loopy and groggy from the anesthesia. You two can visit her if you like." Dr. Smith says to Avi and Kate.

"Go ahead and see her, Avi. I wanna stay here so Dr. Cox knows where I am when Tobias is out of surgery. Text me how Abigail is, okay?" Kate says and Avi nods.

Avi and Kate kiss and hug before Avi leaves.

While Kate waits to see how Tobias is doing, Avi walks over to Abigail's recovery room.

Abigail begins to cry as the nurse put the oxygen hose in her nose since she is still loopy and her throat hurts. The nurses also check Abigail's vitals to make sure she is okay.

"It's okay, Abigail. It's okay! Your surgery is all done! It's all done!" Nurse Amber says to Abigail.

Avi walks in and smiles at the nurses then walks over to Abigail.

"Look who's here! There's your Daddy, sweety." Nurse Lindsay says as Abigail looks at Avi and calms down.

"Hi, princess. It's okay. Shh, shh. It's okay." Avi says as he kisses Abigail's cheek.

"Is she doing okay? She seems anxious." Avi says as he rubs Abigail's cheek softly.

"She got a little scared when she woke up in the operating room but that's common with a little one. She is also a little hyped right now, the anesthesia can do that to a little kid too. Surgery went great and she should be back to herself within a week! Her vitals are fine, she just needs to calm down a little, which she already is since seeing you." Nurse Lindsay says to Avi.

"Just so you know, she may say some goofy things, that's because of the anesthesia. She said you looked like Jesus and I see the resemblance!" Nurse Amber says making Avi chuckle.

"I get that comment a lot, actually. When my wife and I first visited her and her older brother she told me I looked like Jesus." Avi says making Nurse Amber and Lindsay smile.

Avi sits with Abigail in her bed and texts Kate that Abigail is doing well.

A few minutes later, Dr. Cox walks over to Kate, who is anxiously awaiting news on her oldest son. 

"Hello, Mrs. Kaplan! Tobias surgery went great! The tubes are in his ears perfectly and his hearing isn't effected at all, we checked. He is going to be a little groggy due to the anesthesia." Dr. Cox says.

"I'm glad everything went well! Can I see him?" Kate asks Dr. Cox.

"Of course you can! I'll take you to him. He has two nurses, Nurse Sarah and Nurse Alice." Dr. Cox says, walking Kate to Tobias recovery room.

"Your ears will hurt for a few days but Mommy and Daddy will give you some medicine so you can rest." Nurse Alice says to Tobias.

"I also had to get tubes in my ears when I was little! They helped me a lot and I hope they help you!" Nurse Sarah says.

"I hope so too." Tobias says as he rubs his eyes, he is still tired.

Kate walks in and waves at Nurse Sarah and Nurse Alice.

"Hey, Tobias! Who is that?" Nurse Sarah asks Tobias.

"That's my Mama." Tobias says as Nurse Sarah and Nurse Alice aww.

"Hi, handsome. Are you feeling okay?" Kate asks Tobias as she kisses his forehead.

"I'm tired and my ears hurt." Tobias says softly.

"Aw, I'm sorry. Your ears will stop hurting soon, I promise. They just hurt because they had to put the tubes in." Kate says as she rubs Tobias head.

"Is Abby okay, Mama?" Tobias asks Kate.

"She's fine, Daddy is with her to keep her company until we leave. She told her nurse that Daddy looks like Jesus. Isn't that silly?" Kate says making Tobias giggle.

"He does! His hair is darker though." Tobias says as Kate giggles.

After a few hours at the hospital, Kate, Avi, Tobias and Abigail are home!

"We are having some ice cream! Nicole has taken Israel, Ezra and Wren out to the park and Jasper is with us. Is your ice cream good guys?" Kate asks Tobias and Abigail.

"Uh huh, it feels good on my mouth." Abigail says eating her ice cream slowly.

"It's going to help your throat feel better." Avi says softly.

"I love my chocolate chip ice cream! It's really good!" Tobias says happily.

"That's good, buddy." Kate says as she kisses Tobias and Abigail.

For the rest of the day, Avi and Kate kept an eye on Abigail and Tobias, making sure they were okay all night.

After a week, Tobias and Abigail are back to themselves! :)

Kate posts a picture of Abigail and Tobias with hospital gowns on. She writes the caption as: "Surgery day is all done for these two! Toby and Abby are doing so well and we are home resting! Thank you all for all the love and prayers for them, we appreciate it very much 💜"
