Jake has just put Avery down in his crib for the night. Scarlett, Aurora and Levi are also in bed for the tonight after a very long day.

Scarlett, Aurora and Levi have been pushing his buttons all day long while Avery has been teething, which has made him basically cry all day. Jake is just done with the day and just wants to lay down in peace.

Jake feels very stressed and alone right now. Alex has been working really late for the past few weeks, since he just started a new job at Netflix.

Jake absolutely loves being a stay at home dad, but he wishes he had some help with the kids sometimes. He also wishes he could spend more time with Alex. Jake feels like he and Alex have been distant lately and he absolutely hates it.

Jake walks into the master bedroom and lays down in bed. He curls up in a ball and begins to cry, letting all of his emotions and stress out.

Alex comes home to a pitch dark house, since everyone is in bed for the night.

Alex tip toes up the steps and checks on the kids one by one to make sure they are okay before heading into the master bathroom for the night.

Alex hears Jake's cries from the master bedroom and his heart breaks.

Alex goes into their bedroom to find Jake curled up in a tiny ball. Alex rushes over and sits next to Jake.

"Honey, what's wrong, love?" Alex asks softly, rubbing circles into Jake's back.

"Allie, I just can't take this. I am so freaking stressed and I am such a bad dad." Jake says as he cries some more, nearly loosing it completely.

Alex frowns as he sets all of his work things down and takes his jacket off before kneeling in front of Jake on the floor of their bedroom.

"Jake, honey. You are an amazing father. The greatest father ever. What's going on, baby? What's wrong?" Alex asks Jake in a whisper. 

"The girls have been arguing non fucking stop. Like all day long today! Over a stupid Barbie doll! Fuck Barbie! Then Levi colored on a wall in the playroom. I cleaned it up and he did it again on another wall in the playroom. I nearly snapped all of the crayons in half. Then poor Avery has cried on and off all day long due to teething. I couldn't get nothing done! Laundry is piled up to the roof, dishes are dirty in the sink. I just feel so alone and useless." Jake says to Alex.

Alex grabs hold of both of Jake's hands and kisses them tenderly and lovingly.

"I'm so sorry, baby. I know it has been really rough these past couple weeks with the transition to my new job and my new work schedule, but being overwhelmed doesn't make you a bad parent, baby. You are doing the best you can and that's what anyone is asking from you, baby. The kids are perfectly healthy and happy and they are in a nice bed and in a nice house with a roof over their head. Just because you had one bad day, that doesn't make you any less of a father." Alex says, reasoning to Jake in a soft gentle voice.

"I just fucking miss you, Allie. I miss you so fucking much. I feel like we are getting really distant and I don't want that to happen. I don't wanna loose you - ever. I just hate this new work schedule. It fucking sucks." Jake says as he sniffles.

"Oh honey, we will never fall apart, or get too distant to where we are just co-living with each other. I will always make time for just us and for you and the kids. We just have to adjust to the new work schedule right now and get back on track. We can do this, Jakey. We are so strong, baby." Alex says as he rubs Jake's cheeks.

"I'm sorry for being super annoying, Allie. I shouldn't be complaining about all of this stupid stuff. You have way more stressful things to worry about then I do. You work long days to support all of us. I just feel like a horrible spouse because I don't make any money. I am such a fucking loser." Jake says as he cries some more.

Alex carefully wipes Jake's tears away and kisses Jake's forehead.

"Jakey, please stop. You are not annoying to me, baby. You are not a loser. You are an amazing father. You have so many things to do around this house. With all of the laundry, the dishes from all of us, mopping and vacuuming the floors and dusting the whole house. You do all kinds of things I can't even think of listing right now. Being a stay home parent is just as big, or an even bigger of a job than mine, Jakey. It doesn't matter that you don't make any money, I make enough to support all of us. I wanted you to be able to be home and be with our babies. You didn't have that growing up with your mom and I wanted you to do that with our kids. I know you are overwhelmed and upset right now but don't go beating yourself up." Alex says, reassuringly, to shush Jake, bringing him into a hug.

Jake hugs Alex tightly and kisses Alex a few times.

"I'm sorry. I just haven't felt like myself lately and I have been holding all of this stress in. Thank you for everything, Allie. I love you so much." Jake says as he sniffles.

"I love you too, handsome. And I understand, baby. It's okay. It's going to be okay." Alex says, rubbing Jake's back.

"It has just been hard on me lately but just like you said, it is going to be okay soon. I think tomorrow you need to have a talk with the girls. They can't seem to share with each other and constantly argue with each other. And Levi needs to learn to color on paper and not on the walls. I can't take the crayons away from just him, I would have to take them away from all of the kids and Scarlett loves to draw too much to do that. Parenting is crazy." Jake says with a chuckle.

"I'll talk to Scarlett, Aurora and Levi first thing in the morning. Don't worry about that. They need to help you and not cause you to stress out like this, baby." Alex says, kissing Jake's cheek again.

Avery begins to fuss on the baby monitor wanting Jake or Alex to get him out of his crib.

"Poor baby boy. I don't know what to do for him. These two year old molars must be fucking huge." Jake says with a big frown.

Alex stands up and fixes his pants legs.

"I'll take care of Av while you take a nice warm shower and just relax." Alex says, kissing Jake's head and then goes to get Avery from his bedroom.

"Thank you." Jake says as he walks over to the master bedroom to take a much and well deserved warm shower.

Jake walks out of the master bathroom in his white robe and he sees Alex holding a sleepy Avery in their bed. Alex is holding his iPhone and Avery is watching a nursery rhyme video.

The wheels on the bus go round and round! Round and round! Round and round!

Alex looks up at Jake and smiles at him.

"He is almost asleep." Jake whispers to Alex and Alex happily nods.

"I found the baby Orajel and that seems to be working for him." Alex says to Jake.

"I couldn't find it earlier! Where was it?" Jake asks Alex as he sits next to Alex in bed.

"It was by Avery's changing table." Alex says to Jake softly.

"I feel so bad that I couldn't find it earlier for him." Jake says as he tenderly rubs Avery's head.

"It's okay, he is okay now. One of the molars popped through and the other one looks like any second it will come out." Alex says as he rubs Avery's back.

"Thank God. I don't think I can handle anymore days like today. And He looks just like you, except with curly hair." Jake says with a giggle.

"I think he needs a hair cut." Alex says as Jake gasps playfully.

"No, he doesn't. His hair is so cute like this, Allie." Jake says as Alex giggles.

Avery begins to snore softly, making Alex and Jake both smile.

"Should I put him to bed, love?" Alex asks Jake softly.

"No, keep him in here with us just in case he wakes up again." Jake says to Alex.

"Okay." Alex says laying Avery in between himself and Jake.

"Goodnight, Allie. I love you." Jake says as he kisses Alex.

"I love you too, baby. Sleep well." Alex says to Jake.

Jake, Avery and Alex all cuddle together and fall asleep :)
