A second chance. Something not very many people experience. Everyone makes mistakes in life, but that doesn't mean they have to pay for them the rest of their life. Sometimes good people make bad choices, it doesn't mean they are bad. It means they are human. Second chances are not given to make things right. But are given to prove that we could be better even after we fall.

There comes a time in our lives, always, when we do things or make mistakes, ones we thought we could never be capable of.
That doesn't mean that we are bad people. It only means we are not perfect. In those moments, everything is put to the test. Our friendships, our relationships, who we are and who we can still become.

In the process we wonder, who will accept that we are only human and we admit to making mistakes? Who will forgive us and have enough faith in us? Enough to know that we will learn, grow and change for the better. And who will unconditionally love us? In those same moments, we begin to find the real ones. The ones who, no matter how tough and crazy it gets, will always love us enough, enough to stay and start over with us. We may choose to let these mistakes consume us and then define us, but we can always choose to forgive it, own up to it and rise above it.

We should always know that in spite and because of these mistakes, we can become better people. No matter what, whoever stays or leaves, whoever fights for or gives up on us,  we should never stop loving ourselves and believing in ourselves. Knowing that we are not terrible people and that making mistakes happen, even to the best of us, no matter what, we should never stop having hope, keeping faith and believing, that one day we will redeem everything and right there we would know, as maturing and growing individuals, we would finally get our second chance.

A second chance doesn't mean anything if you haven't learned from your first mistake. I believe in second chances, I don't give them often, but everybody deserves one. Including Mark. He fucked up and ya it hurt, I won't deny that I was angry and upset with him. But what's a relationship without fuck-ups? You can't just have the good times, you need the bad to weigh it out. If you don't have bad times then what can you learn from? How could you improve on anything if you don't know what to improve on to begin with? You have to go through the worst to get to the best. And personally, I think you should never give up on someone you can't go a day without thinking about.

And that's what I'm gonna do.

"Where you going Jack?" Asked Felix looking up from his phone.

"I'm going to go talk to Mark" he replied slipping on his shoes, walking towards the door and gripping the knob before Felix stopped him with a gentle hand on his shoulder.

"Jack, are you sure..? I mean, it is up to you but..do you really want to risk going through that again?" He asked giving an uneasy face.

"If it weren't for second chances we'd all be alone Felix, and I don't want to abandon Mark now, knowing that we could have so much more in the future, if something goes wrong, I'll blame myself, because I'm the one putting my trust in him again" was all he said as he went out the door, heading to his second chance.
