It was warm and cozy the whole night, due to Jai's cuddling. But, I woke up cold and realised Jai wasn't in bed anymore. Before getting out of bed, I stretched and yawned, probably sounding like some kind of dinosaur.

The was no sign of Jai around the house anywhere. I frowned, slumping onto the couch. I still had to get ready to go see Luke today. After having a quick shower, I put on some jeans and a flannel, along with converse.

Hearing the front door open, I panicked and looked to see who it was. I sighed, relaxing when Jai walked towards me with coffee that he bought. "Good morning", he set the coffee down and stroked my hair away from my face, kissing my forehead.

"Morning", I replied, pulling away, faking a yawn for a reason to pull away.

"Oh, right.. the coffee is for you." He smiled again, motioning towards the coffee. After thanking him, I sat on the couch, Jai also.

I let the coffee cool down, so I just sat there. "So, are you seeing Luke today?", Jai questioned. "Yeah, I have to, everyday." I awkwardly smiled. "I feel sorry for you." He chuckled.

I thought for a bit, before saying, "And why? I enjoy working with Luke." Jai looked a bit taken aback by my bit of an outburst. "I-I.. it's not because of Luke, I m-mean just the everyday thing.", he tried to explain himself.

"I chose the job for a reason. I love it." I took a sip of the coffee, feeling that it was just the right temperature. "S-sorry."

I looked up to see Jai looking down to his lap. "Don't be." I said sternly, taking another sip of coffee. There was a long, silent pause before Jai got up from the couch. "I'll be heading home so you can finish getting ready."

Jai leant down and kissed my cheek before exiting my house. I was already ready so I stood up and grabbed my bag, also, leaving my home.

Once I arrived at the institution, I was greeted by the annoying registration lady as always. She laughs way too much.

I grimaced at the fowl smell I smelt as I walked towards the elevator. I anxiously pressed the button to the elevator and I was horrified with what I saw. "DANIEL!" I knelt down beside him and he was definitely dead. I thought he was on holiday.

The elevator doors closed and started moving up. "Who did this to you?", tears welled up in my eyes, even though I already had an idea who might have done this. The smell overtook the elevator but I didn't mind, because this was Daniel.

I mourned all the way to the top floor and got frightened when the elevator pinged and the doors opening. I cautiously hooked my arms under Daniel's and, dragged him down the hall, you could say.

Once I placed him where I wanted him, I walked over to Luke's cell, throwing my key and catching it before unlocking the cell door. Luke was organising some things on his desk when I came in.

His room looked spotless, as always. "My love!" He turned around and embraced me in a comforting hug and I relunctantly patted his back and hugged back, quickly pulling away.

"Do you want to have breakfast before or after counselling?" I asked. "After. I'm not too hungry at the moment to be honest." I nodded, and looked around the room. I was at least lucky that my patient cleaned his room. Other carers need to clean the filthy cells of their patients.

"Let's start counselling then." I walked out of the cell with Luke following close behind. As we entered the counselling room, Luke sat down on his usual seat and I sat in my usual one as well. I like spinny chairs.

"So, what did you do last night? Did you stay in your cell like I asked?" Luke shook his head. "No, but I have a good reason fo-" "Enough. Go get my red file out of the cupboard.", I ordered.

Luke nodded and quickly made his way to the cupboard. I bit my bottom lip nervously, hoping this would work. It all went in slow motion as he opened it and the lifeless body of Daniel fell onto him.

I stood up and ran over, making Daniel stand up again in the cupboard. "Oops. He wasn't meant to fall on you." I looked down to see Luke, he looked scarred for life. "Why's Daniel dead?" He asked with wide eyes.

"Enough with the act. I know you killed him." I pulled Luke up by his arm and he looked at my in disgust. "I promise. I didn't kill him."

I raised my eyebrows. "Promise?" Luke nodded. "With all my love for you, I promise." I walked backwards and slumped on my chair. "Then who did?" I mumbled to myself. "How about that lover boy, Jai?"

My eyes shot up to meet his. "You're kidding." I stated. "What would you do if I wasn't?" He smirked. I rested my head in my hands and let out a frustrated sigh.

"Sit down." I ordered and Luke obeyed. "Check for finger prints on his body. They're definitely not mine." He crossed his arms. "Take out your lip piercing, now."

Luke laughed as he grabbed at his lip ring. "Why? Does it make you want to kiss me?" The piercing was pulled out successfully. "No, it's prohibited anyway." I sighed.

"What does the number 17 mean to you?" I asked. "It's my favourite number." He smiled and I kept a straight face, knowing he was lying. "Fine, it's the day I killed my first victim. Poor girl." He pouted.

My stomach churned. "Yeah. Can you maybe tell me why you killed her?" I pressed. He looked in thought for a good minute before answering, "I-I.. really don't know."

I nodded, believing him since he sounded very sincere.

"I'll be taking you to have breakfast and then I need to talk to Jai and get his fingerprints somehow." I said, and Luke just nodded, standing up and holding my hand as we walked down the dim, filthy hallway.

I watched Luke as he ate, as always. He munched on his salad as my phone got a notification and Luke stopped chewing, his mouth full, as his eyes darted to my phone. He honestly looked like a chipmunk.

I picked up my phone and slowly slid my finger across the screen to unlock it. It was a message from Jai.

From: Jai

When are you free? We can hang out today or something

I decided to reply quickly as Luke looked a bit pissed off as he chewed and looked at me.

To: Jai

I'm free in about 20 minutes, meet me outisde the institution.

Just as I was about to set my phone down, he texted back.

From: Jai

:)

I chuckled, shaking my head and locked my phone. Luke looked relieved when I set my phone down and continued chewing happily. "I'm full." He nudged his plate forward. "I'll be heading off in a couple of minutes, I'll come back this afternoon or evening if you'd like?"

Luke nodded in agreement.

//

"Bye, my love." Luke puckered his lips through the bars and I giggled and stood on my toes, pecking his lips.

"Don't mention Daniel to him, until you've got his fingerprints and contacted the police." He said. The police? Jai can't go to jail, or a mental institution!

I calmed myself down in the elevator. Jai couldn't kill a person, anyway. He's too kind hearted to. I sighed in relief, knowing it couldn't have been him.

//

"Hi." He smiled as I stepped out of the institution. "Good day." I smiled back. "Let's get a take away coffee as we walk." I suggested, already wanting his fingerprints.

He just nodded and we walked hand-in-hand down the road to the local coffee shop. It took about 5 minutes for us to receive our coffee and we continued to walk towards my home.

I had this all sorted out. Jai would come into my house, finish his coffee, and leave the cup- "Wait!" I grabbed Jai's arm befofe he could throw away the cup in the public bin, since he finished his coffee quicker than expected.

"What ever is the matter?" He looked at me in surprise. "I-I.. uh- recycle! Yeah, haha. So.. that.. the environment and stuff.." I lied, not actually knowing much about recycling myself.

Luckily, Jai bought it easily and nodded. I mentally high-fived myself for that.

Once we entered my home, Jai set his coffee down. I easily forgot and threw mine in the trash. "I thought you recycle?" Jai laughed. I furrowed my eyebrows, before gasping and getting my cup out of the bin. Thankfully I threw my trash out the previous day.

We sat in the living room, watching some movies which ended up taking hours. I didn't really pay attention to them. Jai noticed and patted my knee. "Something's bothering you.", he looked concerned.

I shook my head. "Don't lie." He pressed, asking what was wrong. I had to distract him somehow, so, I leaned in and pressed my lips to his.

He immediately pulled me closer by my waist and started kissing my neck. I felt guilty about contacting the police on him later, but it had to be done. "I'm tired." I murmured, Jai immediately pulling away with a disappointed expression.

"Sure. Do you want me to sleep over?" He asked hopefully and I couldn't say no. "Of course." I smiled and started getting ready for bed since it was already dark out.

Once we we're both in bed, Jai spooned me and wrapped his arms securely around my waist. "Goodnight" he whispered and I felt a kiss on the back of my neck.

Once I heard his soft snores to make sure he was asleep, I carefully removed his arms from around me. He started stirring around and I held my breath for some reason. He stopped and continued to snore and I let out my breath.

I got out of bed and pulled on different clothes and sat on my motorcycle, not forgetting to put on my helmet.

I also didn't forget the coffee cup, which I used a glove to pick up. And I hoped the police station was still open, and also hoped it wasn't at the same time.

Remember to comment! I love reading and replying to 'em. :)
