Immediately after Billy was let go, he called Stu. "Fuck, that fucking bitch!" he whisper-yelled into the phone.
"Hey, man. Boy, have I got a treat for you," Stu grinned, looking back at your sleeping form. "What? What did you do?" Billy asked.
"I didn't do anything except for milking the biggest secret out of Y/n," Stu chuckled. He could practically see Billy's eyes light up in anticipation.
"She hates Sidney. Hates her, man! And guess what, it's all cause of Sid's mom. Do you think we can get her to, y'know, tag along with us?" Stu asked.
"No, and don't you dare mention anything about our plan to her or you're a dead man walking, got it?!" Billy seethed. "Yeah, got it. Anyways, gotta go before she wakes up. I'll see you at school," Stu smiled before hanging up. He made his way back to the couch where you slept peacefully.
( AT SCHOOL )
You walked out of the bathroom as Sidney ran inside. You didn't dare say a word to her, your guilt was still eating away at you after your confession from last night.
You noticed Billy seemed to be glaring daggers in your general direction so you approached him cautiously. "Hey, I just wanted to apologize about last night. If I had known that Sidney would've accused you, I never would've left her side. You're no killer," you apologized, not daring to meet his gaze.
"Why'd you leave her in the first place?" he asked. You let out a sigh as you looked up to the ceiling, "Ugh, this is so embarrassing! She left me with the killer a few minutes before that and so I just, I figured I should give her a little pay back, y'know? Obviously, looking back on it now it was selfish of me, but–"
Billy cut you off, "It wasn't selfish. It's human nature. Don't ever apologize for having thoughts like that. No matter how dark they are, we can't help it. We're human."
"I should probably get to class," you muttered. "Let me walk you," Billy offered. You nodded and the two of you walked to class.
You sat down next to Stu. You were grateful that you both shared an english class. Especially at a time like this.
Just as you were about to open your book, Principal Himbry announced that until further notice, school would be cancelled. You turned to Stu whose eyes were lit up with joy.
"Perfect. Party at my house, you're coming!" He giggled, pulling you out of your seat and dragging you all the way outside until you caught up with Sidney and Tatum.
"Darling, I dunno what you did, Sidney. But on behalf of the entire student body, we all say 'Thank you!' You know what I say?! Impromptu part tonight, my house. Celebrate this little fiesta, whaddya say?" Stu asked.
"Are you serious?" Sid scoffed. "Oh, come on, Sid. It might be good for us to get out. It'll take your mind off of everything that's going on," you persuaded. She went silent for a moment before turning to Tatum's pleading eyes.
"Come on, for me?" she begged. "Fine. I'll come," she huffed. Tatum wrapped an arm around her.
"Bring food!" Stu exclaimed. "Y/n/n, you coming with us?" Tatum asked you. You looked between the girls and Stu before nodding.
Stu ran off in the other direction and the three of you continued to walk.
"Hey, I'm sorry about last night. I was just super worked up, I didn't mean to snap like that," you blurt. "It's okay, Y/n. We're all under a lot of pressure and fear right now. What you did was totally understandable," Sidney exclaimed. You smiled, at her.
"Yeah, and besides, you can make it up to us by paying for the snacks!" Tatum exclaimed in a sing-song tone. You laughed.
This felt normal. It felt right. For a moment, you forgot all about the serial killer that attacked you last night. As well as your more than platonic feelings for two of your best friends who also happen to be your other best friend's boyfriends. And, you even briefly forgot about your homicidal thoughts about your good friend, Sidney.
But only temporarily.
