The Van Allen's vs Nurse Glockner

Hey, guys. I was thinking about doing a talk show at the end of this book for anyone who might have some questions. Almost like a panel for the actors, but because im working on a behind the scenes book its not Candice King and Nina Dobrev its my characters Sabrina Brantley (Karoline) and Harmomy Ivy (Alayna) comment and let me know what you think and if you have any questions dm me it and who its for.

>FOLSOM PRISON BLUES<

"Call." Karoline set her cards down on the table, face-down.

"Three aces." The prisoner smirked like she had the game in the bag and Karoline let out a sigh as she shook her head.

"Bad beat," She admitted and the prisoner across from her began to collect the cigarettes that sat in a pile on the table. "But, I got a full." Karoline smirked and she flipped her cards over, resisting the urge to laugh out loud at the face the dark-skinned girl made. "Sorry. But, hey, it's a cruel game my friend," The girl slammed her hand on the table before tossing her cards down and walking away. This time Karoline did laugh out loud, as she collected her cigarettes, looking up when Alayna sat across from her. "'Layna, I swear, I had higher expectation for these girls."

"Really?" Alayna's eyebrows shot up in disbelief, as she picked up a cigarette and held it up with disgust.

"What?" Karoline shrugged innocently, causing Alayna to narrow her eyes. She dropped it, tossing the single cigarette back at her sister as she leant back into her chair.

"Look, I got a new lead on the case."

"Same," Karoline nodded, and Alayna's eyes widened. "Miss Moody paid a visit last night. There was the flickering lights, clock stopped, cold spots," Karoline listed off, holding up her fingers as she did so. "The whole nine-yards, she might as well as shouted 'boo'."

"What happened?" Alayna asked.

"Flew right passed me, but Luce wasn't as lucky," Karoline explained with a tight lipped smile. "The way she was screaming... I mean, she was a bitch, but she didn't deserve to go out like that," She shook her head before looking up at her sister, suddenly remembering she had something to add to the case herself. "What'd you find?"

"Oh," Alayna straightened up, having momentarily forgotten herself. "I know, where her remains might be. Blood in her old cell."

"Blood?" Karoline shook her head confused. "But, she died of a heart attack."

"She did, after one of the guards got done with her," Karoline frowned at the news. "Apparently, there was so much blood they had trouble mopping it all up. I already, got a plan to get in." Alayna told the blonde, noticing the look on her face.

Karoline grinned slightly, "There you go, you're almost like that one guy from 'Escape From Alcatraz'?" She asked, snapping her fingers as she groped for the answer.

"Clint Eastwood?" Alayna guessed and Karoline snapped loudly, pointing at the brunette.

"That's it!"

Alayna shook her head at her excitement, "The only thing I can't figure out is how we're gonna burn the remains. We don't have any salt or light fluid, not to mention a lighter."

"Sweet, sweet, Alayna. If you're Clint Eastwood, what does that make me?" She asked rhetorically, continuing before Alayna could guess. "I'm definitely a James Garner. 'The Great Escape'," She smirked, standing up and holding out her hands, each filled with cigarettes. "Who want's to make a deal?!" After they got all the necessities, the two headed down to the cafeteria for the second part of their plan, Karoline grabbed her food before taking a seat across from the tall brunette from earlier while Alayna went over to the other side of the room near a set of guards.

"So, I have a question, Giraffe," the tall Brunette looked up with a dark look as the blonde began speaking. "Is it hard to find guys who are willing to let you take the lead in the bedroom?" She noticed the girls dark green eyes turn nearly black at the question. "Or are they like dominating a, uh, horse?" She peeked over the girls shoulder to see Alayna across the room watching. "If it helps, I'm pretty sure there's a surgery you can get to take off a couple inches." The tall girl smiled uneasily before shoving the two trays off the table and sending a right hook at the blonde. Karoline picked herself up quickly, spitting the blood to the side and ducked under a second punch the tall girl sent her way. Karoline hit her three times, one right in the face, one in the stomach, and the other a kick, sending her to the ground. The tall girl tumbled across the ground before picking herself up and crossing the room quickly to punch Karoline, but she caught her fist just in time. What she didn't account for was the girl headbutting her, hard. Karoline reeled back with a hiss of pain and grabbed at her head. Before she could send another punch the blonde's way a guard put a baton across her neck and pulled her back, only to get flipped over and slammed down on the table.

"Guys, give me a hand." The Warden called, two guards following him over to the scuffle. During the struggle, Alayna ducked into the kitchen to grab one of the many salt shakers. She peeked over her shoulder to make sure no had come in when her back was turned, before slipping into one of the vents on the wall, and closing it securely behind herself. It took her five minutes to navigate her way through the vents before finally coming across the old cell Morgan Moody had been in. She lowered herself down into the hallway just outside the door, and looked left and right down the hall to make sure the coast was clear. When she found everything safe, she opened the door and sprinkled some of the salt and lighter fluid she had gotten her hands on, onto the bloodstain on the bed. She lit the match expertly and dropped it onto the mattress, watching it light up in flames.

Karoline let out a groan as she held the ice pack against her cheek, the bruise already forming on the side of her face, peeking through the wire bars of her cell at the curtain blocking her veiw of the tall girl across the way. "You can hit, I'll give you that Giraffe."

"Michelle."

"What?" Karoline blinked confused.

"My names Michelle." She repeated and Karoline frowned slightly.

"Karoline," She told Michelle after a moments pause. "Hey, look. I'm sorry about what I said earlier. I can't tell you why, but me getting you angry was something I had to do. So, um, sorry."

"It's fine," Michelle sighed in defeat. "It's true. My last boyfriend dumped because I was 'overbearing'," She explained like it was the most ridiculous thing in the world. "Died the next day."

"How'd he die?" Karoline asked, startled by the news.

"I shot him." Her voice was careless, like murder was no big deal, causing Karoline's eyes to widen and let out a humorless chuckle.

"Well, that's one form of girl power," She muttered, shaking her head as she glanced around the small cell casually. She let out a small chuckle, her breath visible as the temperature in the room dropped instantly. Her eyes widened. "Shit, shit, shit." She muttered, catching Michelle's attention as the blonde looked around frantically for something to use against the spirit.

"What is it?" Michelle questioned innocently. Karoline didn't answer as she shook the cell door, trying to get one of the bars to come loose. "What's going on?" Karoline nearly cried out in triumph when she saw the salt shaker on the edge of her bed, on a small tray. She snatched it off haphazardly and spun back around, only to come face to face with a face that was not Morgan Moody's. "What is it?" Karoline heard Michelle ask, but her voice was drowned out by Karoline's cry of pain as she was flung back against the wall. The blonde blinked up in pain to see the ghost towering over her with large, narrowed eyes. It shoved it's hand into her chest and the cry of pain came involuntarily, and her back arched. She clutched her hand tighter around the salt shaker and flung it at the spirit, letting out a deep breath as the pain subsided once the ghost was gone. She didn't dare move, just held a hand to her chest as her whole figure racked with every deep breath she took. "Oh! No!"

"Michelle?" Karoline shot up at the sound of the girls pained screams. She clutched her cell door bars and her eyes widened frantically, but all she could see was the dim outline of Michelle's figure. "Michelle!?"She tugged, pulled, and kicked at the door trying desperately to break free and save the tall girl.

"Wait, so it's not Moody?" Alayna asked wide eyed after her sister had finished explaining what had happened in the infirmary. Alayna shook her head, looking around the rec yard they were walking across.

"Unless she worked part time as a nurse, then no." Karoline told her, tapping her finger against her lit cigarette watching the ashes fall. She'd managed to sneak a box of matches from the infirmary before they took her out.

"So, it's not a prisoner at all, it's a nurse who used to work here." Alayna stated more than asked, starring down at her feet in thought. "Kari, I thought this was over. I already called Deacon to bust us out tonight."

Karoline sighed, knowing that they couldn't leave without finishing this hunt, "Then I guess we gotta step it up with the research." Was the only response Alayna got and she shook her head in disbelief.

"How? In case you forgot, we're in jail." Alayna threw her arms out to the side, gesturing around them for emphasis.

"We'll just have to ask around, there has to be someone who was here when our mystery nurse was." Karoline replied and all at once, everything clicked in Alayna's brain.

"I think I know someone." Alayna didn't explain any further just took off in the other direction knowing Karoline would follow. "Gretel," Alayna called the plump woman's attention, ignoring the look Karoline sent her as they headed over to the red-head. "This is my sister Karoline, can I ask you a question?" Gretel sized Karoline up with narrowed eyes before nodding at the brunette.

"Sure thing, Hun."

"We need to know about a nurse who died here." Alayna told her hoping there wouldn't be too many who fit the criteria.

"Why?" She asked, looking startled by the random question.

"We got our reasons, but, um..." Karoline trailed off looking down at the pack in her hands reluctantly before holding them up with a sigh. "There might be a little something in it for you, if you can answer it." Gretel's eyebrows shot up as she took the pack. "This nurse, should have um bleach white hair, her left eye all screwy. Anything?"

"Yeah. Yeah, I remember her." She nodded, looking between the two, but didn't explain any further.

"Could we get a name or..." Karoline trailed off expectantly.

"You know, in my old age, things get a little fuzzy." She gestured to her head for emphasis, but shot the blonde a knowing look.

Alayna's lips twitched in amusement, "Give it."

"'Layna~"

"Kari~"

"Fine," Karoline sighed, holding out her last pack reluctantly and Gretel accepted it happily.

"Glockner. Nurse Glockner. Nasty old bitch worked here in the '70s." She explained with hatred laced through her voice.

"You knew her?" Alayna's eyebrows shot up.

"I met her once. Had to get a tetanus shot. She damn near jabbed the needle through the other side of my arm. At least I got out of there alive." She muttered in her croaky old voice, and shook her head in annoyance.

"What do you mean?" Alayna inquired.

"I've heard these stories. I don't know if they were true. Cons love to talk, but we're all liars." She explained simply, but Alayna could tell by the tone of her voice, she knew they weren't just stories.

"Stories, like what?" Karoline asked, quirking an eyebrow.

"Gals would go up to the infirmary with a cold. Next thing you know, they're in a body bag. A whole rash of heart attacks – young ladies, old gals." Karoline and Alayna shared a look at the red-heads words.

"Heart attacks?" Alayna echoed, hoping Gretel would explain further.

"Yeah. Story was Glockner had it out for cons and she did this, uh, Charles Bronson thing with a hypodermic. Anyway, that was the rumor. Nobody ever proved anything." Gretel shrugged like she could care less, but her voice held disappointment.

"What happened to Glockner?" Karoline asked, knowing that the cause of death would've been the final key to this whole case.

"I don't know. I finished my bit and left. Next time I landed back in here, she was gone." Alayna sighed in disappointment, glancing up at Karoline who was chewing at her nail. "Lunch time is heading in, you two should get going." The two girls nodded and headed to the dining area silently, they didn't bother getting any food. They were too busy trying to crack this case to even realize how hungry they were.

"Okay, so if those rumors about the nurse are true then that would explain why she's back," Alayna shrugged. "Even in death she wants criminals to pay for what they did." Karoline nodded in agreement, her mind still whirring with questions. "But, how is she connected to the old cellblock? And why kill a guard if she's going after cons."

"The guards weren't exactly saints either," Karoline corrected. "Maybe, she's going after anyone who breaks the law."

"Alright, well, that's a start. But, we're going to need more information on Glockner if were gonna finish this. Buried or cremated. If she was buried, where," Alayna listed off. "And we only got five hours to do so..." Alayna trailed off at the look Karoline gave her and immeadiatly shook her head. "No, wipe that look off your face, we're leaving tonight no matter what! I'm not dealing with Henriksen, or this crappy prison food, no."

"But, I promised Dean I'd do this for him." Alayna sighed at her sisters words, dropping her head into her hands in defeat. She inhaled sharply, straightening up as she ran her hands through her hair tiredly.

"Okay," She stood up and Karoline jumped to her feet as well, confused. "Let's go."

"Go, where exactly?" Karoline followed her sister.

"To talk to our lawyer." She said like it was simple and Karoline's eyes widened. Karoline waited out in the rec yard while Alayna headed to the visiting rooms. She saw Mara Daniels sitting on one side of the glass window, looking spiffy and she slid into the chair across from her. Mara's attention turned to Alayna when the short girl picked up the phone and she did the same.

"You wanted to talk to me?" Mara began expectantly.

"I need you to look someone up for me," Alayna sighed at her lawyers look, in her head she knew this was going to be hard, but for some reason she had expected the exact opposite.

"You want me to what?" She echoed dubiously.

"Her name was Glockner," Alayna specified, trying to convey through her voice and eyes how important this was. "She was a nurse here back in the 70's. I need you to find out everything there is to know about her, but, most important is cause of death and where she was buried."

"Are you nuts?" Mara struggled to keep her voice down. "Do you have any idea the kind of trouble you're in here?"

"Vaguely." Alayna shrugged indifferently.

"Good. So, let's forget about some random nurse and talk about your case." She began to get off topic and Alayna sighed in irritation.

"Mara, right?" Mara could only nod before Alayna continued. "I get it, you want to help me. But, doing what I just asked you is the best way you can help me. Please." Alayna utilized her big, Bambi eyes to her advantage.

"Really? How? Explain that to me."

"I can't," Alayna admitted and Mara scoffed. "You just got to trust me."

"Why should I? Henriksen says you're a monster." Alayna nearly laughed at the thought, looking away from the defense lawyer.

"Yeah, well Henriksen can kiss my-" She broke off at the look on the older woman's face. "Look, he's wrong about me okay. I'm not what you think I am."

"Everybody says that." Mara reminded her and Alayna sighed.

"Alright, look me in the eye and tell me you think I'm really the monster they say I am," Alayna could tell she was getting through to her. "If you think I am, then forget it. Never mind. But, if even just a little part of you knows that me and my sister; we're not the bad guys, then please. I need your help." For half a second Alayna believed she was going to help them, but as soon as she shook her head that thought went out the window.

"I can't, now if you want to talk about you and your sister's case, I'm all ears." Alayna didn't bother to give a response, instead she hung up and stood to let the guard lead her out to the rec yard again. As soon as she stepped out into the sunlight she saw Karoline across the way, waving her over.

"She gonna do it?" Karoline asked hopefully once Alayna reached her.

"No," Alayna admitted and Karoline let out a noise of disappointment. "Kari, we have to go."

"One more day." Karoline all but begged.

"We leave. Tonight." Alayna said with an air of finality.

"Fine," Karoline relented, getting her game face on for the next part of their plan. "Let's do this." She looked around to make sure the guards were watching. "We can't just leave this job unfinished, we can't let these people die." Karoline snapped, her wide eyes on her sister in fake exasperation.

"Don't even try that with me," Alayna shook her head, attitude in her voice and a hand on her hip. "You thought this plan was just a stupid as I did. I'm sorry to disappoint Dean and Deacon, I really am, but we're following through with the plan. No adding to it."

"Fine, go. I'll stay." Karoline relented, turning on her toes and stalking away.

"Don't walk away from me," Alayna grabbed Karoline's shoulder and spun her around only to have Karoline shove her away.

"Piss off." She bit out only to have the Warden yank her back and a guard to grab Alayna.

"All right, hard case. I see the usual methods ain't gonna work with you," Karoline rolled her eyes as the Warden turned to Alayna. "You too, sweetheart." The guard yanked Alayna's arms back and cuffed her as the Warden did the same to Karoline, the two leading the girls inside and into a room.

"Take off," the Warden ordered the guard once they were fully inside as Alayna and Karoline turned back to look at him. "I want to handle this alone," Was all the explanation he gave, but the man accepted it and walked off. The Warden came toward them slowly, ominously, until finally he smiled widely at the girls.

"Deacon," Karoline chuckled, shaking her head in pain and fatigue. "You aren't going very easy on me, you know that?" They showed Deacon their cuffs expectantly, and he reached for his keys.

"Really, I thought I was," Karoline scoffed as Deacon snapped off her cuffs. "Just, uh, trying to make it look real," He added as he finished snapping off Alayna's as well.

"Mission accomplished, then." She spoke with a laugh still in her voice.

"So? Is it over?" Deacon asked hopefully.

"No. Turns out it wasn't Moody," Alayna confessed, sticking to the truth.

"What?" Deacon frowned, having half a mind to snap the cuffs right back on them. "Then who?" He questioned, frowning at Alayna and then Karoline.

"We think it's some nurse who used to work here. But, we're still shy on all the Intel we need" Alayna told him.

"Which is why we should stick around until we know for sure," Karoline hated the idea of leaving a case half unsolved, especially when she promised Dean she'd see it through.

"You want to have this fight for real, Kari? We got to go. We got to go now," Alayna's voice rose with every word she spoke as she turned to face her sister.

"Girls-" Deacon tried to cut in, grabbing the envelope Mara had given him from his back pocket, having almost forgot about it.

"We're leaving, Kari," Alayna continued, neither girl paying any attention to what Deacon was trying to say. "Otherwise we'll be leaving in shackles for Milwaukee with Henriksen as company!"

"Oh, come on!" Karoline protested, rolling her eyes at her sisters dramatics.

"Guys!" Deacon snapped, finally succeeding in gaining their attention.

"What?" They both turned their heads to glare at him simultaneously.

"Your lawyer left this for you," He handed Alayna the letter. "She said to give this to you," Alayna frowned at the envelope briefly before tearing it open and seeing the information scrawled neatly on the page. Her eyes scanned them before flicking up while her lips couldn't quite fight off the smile that grew on them.

"Would you look at that." Alayna muttered.

"Care to share with the class, 'Layna?" At her words, Alayna handed the paper over to Karoline, causing her face to break out into a wide smile. "Glockner died in the old cellblock after Moody did. Seems they had a little inmate uprising. She got caught in the middle. They dragged her to a solitary cell and gave her a severe cerebral edema."

"Someone bashed her head in." Karoline realized looking up from the envelope at Alayna and the smaller girl nodded.

"All right, then, let's get you the Hell out of here." Both girls nodded, and Deacon opened a panel in the wall for them to climb through, wondering what could be written on the paper to make them respond like that.

"Don't worry, Deacon," Karoline spoke while still looking at the paper and chuckling. "We'll get this thing,"

"Good, cause I want it out of my prison," Deacon nodded as if his response was acceptable. "Girls, I can't thank you enough for this. I know it was asking a lot, but you still came through."

"You're welcome." Karoline told him as Alayna hugged Deacon before Karoline hugged the man herself.

"Hope to see you again, Dean and Sam, too. Just not in here, okay?" Both girls chuckled as they passed him on the way to the hole in the wall.

"Yeah, we'll do our best," Alayna promised him, knowing they'd inevitably get into more trouble in the future.

"Oh," Karoline remembered, spinning around to face Deacon again with her fist half raised. "Where do you want it?" She walked back to the older man slowly.

"What?" He frowned in momentary confusion before his expression cleared as he took in Karoline's smirk, and his lips formed a dry smile. He pointed to his cheek gently, turning it to face the girl. "Make it look real, sweetheart," Karoline just chuckled with a smirk before socking him in the jaw, knocking the man out cold. The two snuck out and over the prison fence to see Dean and Sam waiting by the Impala for them.

"Miss us?" Both boys shot up at Karoline's voice, a grin breaking out on their faces as they took in the two girls.

"So, how was prison life?" Dean asked, slinging an arm around Karoline's shoulders.

"Surprisingly, fun." They both turned their attention to Alayna when she scoffed. "I do wish I got one of those tear drop tattoo's though." Both boys and Alayna chuckled at that.

"We should get go-" Sam's interruption was cut off by alarm blaring throughout the prison. "We have to go. Now," he finished, and the four hurried into the Impala, speeding away from the prison.

"You know, I almost wish I could see Henriksen's face right now," Alayna commented, making Dean and Karoline grin at the thought of how furious the agent would be that they slipped through his fingers yet again.

"Really? Cause I would be happy if we never saw him again," Sam responded as they drove within the speed limit for the first time in a long time.

***

"Got her," Sam announced as him and Dean threw their shovels on the side of the grave. The girls helped Sam up first before Dean reached up his hand to be helped out of the pit. They salted and burned the body easily. The four of them stood there watching the flames devour the skeleton. They all shared a look before heading back to the Impala hurriedly, and driving away from the cemetery to the hotel Dean and Sam were staying at and where the Buick was sitting all alone.

"Thought we were screwed before?" Both boys glanced at the rear view at Karoline, who was in the back seat looking at Alayna.

"Yeah, we should lay low," Alayna agreed whole-heartedly with her logic.

"Lay low, 'Layna? We should go to Yemen," Sam stated, making her laugh lightly.

"Oh, I'm - I'm not sure I'm ready to go that deep," all three let out a light chuckle at Dean's statement.
