First of all, I want you to know that I started this book in Coronavirus time, so I hope you're all okay.
Luckily I'm fine, I never get bored at home; school kept me constantly busy, but I always tried to find time to grow my biggest passion: writing.
Thank you for choosing this story: there are so many of them here on Wattpad and I am infinitely grateful to you to dedicate your precious time to it.
I'm not going to repeat why I started writing because I've already had the opportunity to tell it many times, when I told you about my story and in some chapters of my other book "Chronicles of the Guardians".
And then, I think that if a person really likes what he does, you are able to see it. In every book I put a part of myself. I hope my message, what I want to communicate, has arrived.
I want you to kmow that "Proud Hearts" is a teen drama, but not like many others. So, if you've come here expecting one of those monotonous love books that are so fashionable now, where the classic good girl falls in love another bad boy, you've made a mistake.
I don't want my book to be the same as a hundred thousand others, I want it to be special, I want it to be mine, I want to feel it mine. And I think that every writer who really likes what he does should think so, not conform to others by writing an indecent story as many girls do now (and they're all under eighteen) just to be famous and make people talk about themselves.
Calling them "books" would be an insult to real literature.
I DON'T WANT TO INSULT ANYONE, but I just want to say that there are very few serious writers who don't want to homologate just to sell their "books".

From this point of view Wattpad isn't very good; it's very close to a sort of Instagram for books instead of photos. Books are not considered according to quality, but according to the number of views, stars, comments. It's only the number that makes the difference, not the talent and commitment, and unfortunately that's the bad thing about socials.

But let's get back: as I was saying, "Proud Hearts" is a love story, but not only this.
It's more than a love story, it's a novel of formation, and of growth.

And I want to tell all this through the eyes of a girl of my age, who, like me, like you, learns, asks questions and, in the end, understands her place in the world and grows.

The names have not been chosen randomly, but they almost all have a meaning inherent in the personality of the character who wears them.

I will soon publish the first chapters, after finishing "Chronicles of the Guardians".
As some of you already know, for "The Sunset After Us" you'll have to wait a little longer: I'll continue it and I'll finish it only when I've finished "Proud Hearts" too.
