Shikamaru POV

It was weird, we have been taking random turns, I know I heard that the forest changes but this much.

"Excuse me are you sure we're going the right way!?" I ask he turns and looks at me.

NARUTO POV

"Of course we are, it may look random and weird to you but I have been living in this forest for all my life so I would know" I say looking at him "just ask...Sakura was it?" She nods "I helped her out of here when she was lost"

"Okay fine" Shikamaru says

"How much longer anyway to get there?" The chubby guy said, munching on more chips

I look at him, then at the rest.

"Not long, I can ensure you" i say "but if you want to past the time why don't you tell me your names?"

"Ok sure I'm ino"

"Sakura but you already know that"

"How troublesome, I'm shikamaru"

"I'm *munch* choji"

"Shino"

"I-I'm H-hinata"

"And I'm kiba and this is akumaru" he says patting his dog

"Great to meet you all, I'm Naruto" I say

"You finally say your name" Sakura says cause the last time she asked he didn't answer

"Yes well it's only right you guys introduced yourself and I don't partially want to be called fox boy very much" I say

"Well that's true, naruto" sakura says with a smile

"Well now that that's over, why don't we keep walking" I say and they nod

A few minutes later we come in a clearing and you can see a lake and a huge tree with my house in it. I turn and look at them, there faces were funny, is it there first time seeing a house in a tree? Well they live in a village so I guess they don't have tree houses there.

"Here we are, do you like?" I ask

"Yes"

"A huh"

"..."

"This place is amazing"

"I-it's b-beautiful"

"Well thanks I know it's not much, especially since you live in an actual home but I like it" I say starting walk to the stairs that go up the tree to my house.

"Well are you coming?" I ask

"Huh? Yeah" some say and the others nod their heads. they come in my house and again they were shocked, my house was actually pretty big cause the tree is huge I got to make my place big, I can guess what your saying what's one person living in a huge house, well I live with my many fox friends well there more like my family to me so they take up a lot of room, especially when I have an injured traveler in my house.

"This place is amazing" Sakura and ino said

"Yes it is indeed nice" shino says

"Did you build this?" Kiba asks

"Yeah of course who else lives in this forest that can build it?" I say

"Right of course" said kiba

"It would be such a drag to build this" shikamaru says

"Really it's amazing" choji say

"Yeah and of course you would think its a drag, everything is to you" Ino says

"Tch whatever" shikamaru says

"Okay enough with the chit chat, you only came here so you can take this guy back to your village to get better care" I say pointing to the old man at the end of the room.

"Right sorry" they apologied

I ignore them and went up to the old man who was wounded and took out my pouch I used to collect food, water and herbs for medicine. I mixed the herbs together and added water to make it moist so it would stick on him and heal his wounds, I used a leaf that has healing properties and wrapped it around his wounds as bandages and then replaced the wet cloth that was on his head to help his fever.

"There that should do it for the time being, now all you have to do is take him back to your village to heal better" I say to them but they were just looking at me, amazed at what Ive just done.

"Your a good medic" Sakura says

"No it's just the basic but thanks anyway" I say

It was silent for a while until shikamaru finally spoke

"So do you live here alone?"

"No I live with the foxes but now that I mention where are they?" I say

"What with foxes?" Ino asked

"Yeah believe me they're very loud, mmm... maybe they smell you guys and got scared so they left" I say and walk toward ms the door to see if I can see them hiding

"Do you think he's crazy" Sakura says

"Yeah maybe living alone with know one to talk to, has gotten to him" Ino says back

"I can ensure you I'm not crazy, I'm just like your friend here" I say pointing to kiba and akumaru

"What you heard us" both Sakura and Ino screech

"Yeah well I do have good ears" I say pointing to my fox ears, animals have double the hearing than humans I thought most humans new that.

"So your just like kiba how he can understand his companion" shikamaru says

"Yup" I say popping the P

"That's cool" kiba says "so can you understand akumaru too"

"Yeah he's very talkative as well" I say walking up to akumaru and patting him on his head, he barks at me. I stop what I'm doing when I see kiba looking at me strangely

"What is it now, ever since you saw me, you seem to always look shock or surprised at what I'm doing" I say

"Well it's just akumaru doesn't trust people very much only me or if he's been around him long" kiba says

"Yeah it took ages for me to get him to like me" Ino says

"Yeah same" Sakura says and the ready nod their heads in agreement

"Well what can I say I'm just great with animals and akumaru doesn't feel any danger coming of of me" I say

"Oh ok" was all kiba said

"Well now that, that's finished I guess you can take the old man and go" I say

"WHAT GO?" Sakura screamed loudly at which both me and kiba had to hold our ears so they wouldn't hurt as much.

"Geezers that hurt" both me and kiba said

"Right sorry I forgot you had sensitive ears" Sakura apologies

"What but you know I have sensitive ears" kiba says

"That's true sakura" shino says

"Umm... y-yeah" hinata stutters

"Right sorry" again Sakura apologies

"Fine then if you want to stay you can but only for a couple of hours before night fall, in fact I'm about to make lunch for everyone, why don't you help" I ask them which they nod. I lend them downstairs out of my place.

"We aren't cooking inside?" Sakura asks

"Nice, we cook out side" I say "we're cooking the fish I court before I met you they should still be good"

"So that was the smell I smelt when we met you" kiba says

"Yeah most likely, we will cook them over the fire so would someone like to go collect sticks to make the fire place as well as good and strong size sticks that can go through the fish" I finish

"Fish? That what we're having" Ino say

"Don't like, don't eat" I say pulling out a basket full of fish.

"Why so many" Sakura asks

"Well I have to cook for the foxes as well" I say "well it depends if they come out of hiding"

So with that everyone went to work and started making their lunch.
