Noah P.O.V

Morning came around and I woke up from bed. Dad wasn't with me as I rub my eyes and stretch my body. I climb out of bed, touching the cold floor as I giggled a bit before stepping on the floor again. I walked out dad's room and down the stairs. I smelled delicious food as I drooled a bit on the side of my mouth.

When I reached the bottom of the stairs, I see my dad place the last plate on the table. He smiled as he brought out teddie and placed him beside one plate of food.

Dad: good morning son, breakfast is here

Noah: T-Thanks Dad!

I walked over to one chair and climbed up, sitting myself down on delicious eggs with toasted bread and some soup.

Sleepywolves: minus the cheese, sorry :(

Dad: the military offered us eggs. They said it was a gift for us being on the surface

Noah: heehee, we should thank them

Dad: we can but we have a lot of things to do. First, i need to look for a job and you need to make some friends

Noah: h-hannes said there was a b-boy named eren

Dad: I hope you two get along so--

Dad and I looked towards the door. Dad told me to continue eating as he stood up from his seat and towards the front door. Opening it to reveal a pretty woman with long black hair and light colored eyes. 

"Hello, you must be the new neighbors hannes was talking about. I'm just the house next door"

Dad: oh, nice to meet you (turns to me) Noah, come here

Noah: (stuffed mouth) omp ay

Finishing my meal and gulping down some water. I climbed out my seat and walked over next to my dad. Meeting the woman who smiled and chuckled. Pointing around her lips as I copied her. I blush, I had food on me.

Dad: noah, you need to wipe your face off

Dad kneels down on one knee and pulls out a handkerchief. He gently grabs my chin as he wipes the bread crumbs off my face.

Dad: I'm so sorry um...

Carla: Please call me Carla Yeager 

Dad: Then please, call me Nate Stone

Noah: (shy) a-ano, my name is.... eh?

Before I could introduce myself, I see a boy beside mrs. yeager. He had short brown hair and blue-green eyes. He was staring at me, as if, observing me. Carla was confused until she looked where I was staring.

Carla: oh, I heard from hannes you had a son so I brought my son too. He doesn't have a friend so I hoped the two of them can play with each other

Dad: what a coincidence, I was going to do the same thing 

Carla: come on eren, introduce yourself

Eren: Hi, I'm Eren Yeager...

a new friend...

A NEW FRIEND.!!

I went over to eren and gently hold his hands in mine. He blushed as I smiled.

Noah: M-My name is Noah! Nice to meet y-you, Eren

Eren: s-same

Carla: aww

Dad: Noah, why don't you play with eren upstairs in your room? (turns to carla) if you don't mind can we chat? I really need help around the city and so far, hannes just helped me with the furniture so far

Carla: oh I don't mind. My husband is coming later, do you mind him joining?

Dad: I don't mind--

Carla and Dad continued talking as I looked at eren who blushed. Looking away as I pulled him with me. He noticed my actions and followed after me. Climbing up the stairs as I opened the doorknob. 

Revealing...

Eren: cool room

Noah: t-thanks

I look at my room as I forgot someone.

Noah: E-Eren, wait here

Eren: okay

I left the room quickly and ran down the stairs. Seeing the table clean and teddie on the table. I grab him and climbed back up the stairs to see eren sitting on my bed. I smile as he notices teddie in my hands.

Eren: is that... a toy bear?

Noah: y-yeah! Mom made it for me and I got to name him. His name is teddie

Eren: aren't you too old for toys

Noah: is 8 old?

Eren: yeah, I mean I'm 9 and I don't play with toys

Noah: t-that's okay... I want to keep teddie, even when I'm an adult because... because....

Eren: because?

Noah: it's mommy's gift to me before she died

Eren flinched as I held onto teddie tighter. I look down on the floor, ashamed because he was right. I'm old and I shouldn't have teddie but its mom's last gift to me.

Noah: E-Even so, I want to bring teddie with me. C-Cause dad said mo-mom's spirit is with t-teddie s-so I want her to experience all the things she couldn't

It was silent as Eren scratched the back of his neck and looked away.

Eren: h-hey, I'm sorry.... I shouldn't say that

Noah: i-it's okay

I walk over to him and hold his hand. He turned around shocked and blushed.

Noah: I-I never had a f-friend so I'm ve-very happy. I'm y-your f-friend, right?

Eren paused a bit then smiled and ruffled my hair. 

Eren: yeah, sit by me. We can get to know each other more before we play

Noah: (excited) O-Okay! ヾ(｡･ω･)ｼ

I sat on my bed with eren by my side. My holding onto teddie as we talked about our interests and what we do. What I didn't know was that it would make eren protective of me. When it came to how I came, I explained that seeing sunlight was my first time to which he was shocked. 

It went like that until evening...

Dad: Eren, Noah? 

Eren and I turned to my dad who opened the door to reveal himself. 

Dad: I'm sorry noah but it's time for eren to go home. It's getting late

Noah: awww (hugs eren) b-but I want to talk with eren more

Eren: y-yeah

Carla: dear, you know you can speak with him again tomorrow

Eren: demo--

Carla: come on, we must prepare for dinner. I promise you, the first thing in the morning, you can visit noah again

Eren: ...o-okay

Noah: bye eren

Eren: bye noah

Eren walked to his mrs. yeager as I held onto teddie. I hear dad close the door and waving the yeager's goodbye. He came back upstairs and went to my room. 

Dad: did you have fun?

Noah: Y-yeah! i talked a lot with e-eren and he s-said tomorrow we can play

Dad: (smiles) of course, let's eat dinner now and head to bed

Noah: o-okay

Dinner rolled around as we ate our food and talked a lot. Dad said he found a job, it was being a mailman by delivering packages. He said mrs. yeager found him a job for him and was accepted.

Dad: this means I will be home less

Noah: (sad) o-okay

Dad: don't be sad (ruffles hair) you have eren and soon enough, you two will make even more friends

Noah: y-yeah! thanks dad

I happily ate my meal as night rolled around. I went to bed as dad kissed me goodnight. Closing the door behind as I blow the candle out. The moonlight glistening around as I sleep with teddie in my arms.
