Noah P.O.V

My windpipe is being blocked. I can't breathe as I tried to remove the man's grip on me, he only tightened his hold as I heard yelling and slamming noises. I couldn't make it out... 

Eren....

Mikasa...

I'm....so....................s....................sor................

How did this happen?

Why am I dying, you ask?

2 hours earlier 

The carriage carried the three of us out the lands of grass. Eren seemed bored and stared outside the window as I only smiled and watched outside. I even pointed to eren about the clouds outside being little animals. To which he just pat my head and looked out the window again.

I stopped staring at the window when rain poured down on us. When the carriage stopped, grisha pulled out three raincoats, passing each one to eren and I as he put one on. Then us. We stepped out the carriage as grisha paid the pain. In the distance was a small cabin, walking over there as I admired the plants.

It looks like they were growing vegetables but.... why were there footprints in the dirt? 

Eren & Noah: M-Mikasa?

Grisha: yes. she is a girl your age. There aren't any other children around here, so get along with her. Especially you eren

Noah: Y-Yeah! I can't w-wait to meet Mikasa

Eren: that depends on her attitude

Grisha: eren, you know this is why you only have two friends

Noah: a-ano, mr. yeager

Grisha: yes?

Noah: wh-why does mikasa live so far o-out?

Grisha: I can't answer that (pats head) sorry noah

Noah: o-oh, it's okay (turns to door) are th-they home?

Grisha: maybe they're not home (knocks louder) Mr. Ackerman, it's Dr. Yeager

With no response, Grisha gripped the door handle and pushed it open slowly. However, he paused a small way when he witnessed a horrifying sight. Two dead bodies laying on the floor, blood painted the walls and the floor.  

Noah: wh-what's wrong?

No response

Eren: hey, dad?

Grisha didn't respond as he entered inside the house. The door swinging open as I felt cold. I turned away and held my hands over my mouth. Eren rubbed my back a bit, staring at the bodies inside. 

Grisha: Eren, is there a girl nearby? Did you see mikasa?

Eren: no

Grisha: Noah, do you see mikasa outside?

Noah: n-no (urp) I-I don't s-see her

Grisha: I see (turns to eren and noah) I'm going to go call the military police brigade and request an investigation. Take noah with you and wait at the base of the mountain. Understand, eren?

No response

Grisha: Eren!

Patch of Land (Near Abandoned Cabin)

Eren and I were walking around the land. We were getting close to the base of the mountain when eren stopped and faced me. He had anger in his eyes and a small sense of worry in them.

Eren: Noah, go to the base of the mountain

Noah: E-Eren? what are--

Eren: I'm going to save mikasa

Noah: h-how

Eren reached into his pocket and pulled out a knife. It already had blood stains on them as I gasp. This was the weapon used on mikasa's parents. I felt like throwing up and I did, puking on the side of the road as eren looked away. When I finished, I looked back at eren.

Noah: b-but your d-dad said to wait a-at the base. The military will--

Eren: the military won't do crap! they'll take forever and who knows how long they arrive! mikasa may be gone by the time they come!!

Noah: th-then...

Eren: don't try to stop me

Eren wielded the knife towards me as I stared shock.

Noah: E-Eren?

Eren: go to the base of the mountain, I.... I don't want to-to hurt you

Noah: n-no, I'll go with you

Eren: you can't! you'll blow my cover to attack and--

Noah: I still wa-want to help! Mikasa is in danger, I don't care if I get hurt. You're right eren, we need to save her. Let me go with you

Rain poured down on us more as Eren stared at me. Observing me as I only stared at him with determination, slight fear, hope, and honesty. He sighed and took my hand with him. Walking to another direction of the path.

Eren: i saw the tracks over there, if we follow them. They should have mikasa with them

Noah: y-yeah!

Eren: by the way (turns to noah) how will you fight? I only have the knife I brought with me

Noah: I-I'm sure I can t-take their weapon or use something

Eren: b-be careful... also... if I say to leave, do it.................please

Noah: I-I got it, now l-let's save mi-mikasa

Eren: right

We reached down the last set of footprints to see a cabin in front of us. Both of us agreeing that she was in there and operation save mikasa was in motion. 

Eren: how many people do you think are inside?

Noah: f-from the f-footprints, I would s-say two

Eren: that will be no problem, stay behind me. Okay?

Noah: y-yes! (holds eren's hand) w-wait

Eren stops and turns to me confused.

Noah: a-ano, just to be safe. If t-they aren't them. We ne-need to confi-firm it so--

Eren: right, look I'll put my fingertips to the end of my palm. One is no mikasa. Two is found mikasa. three is run. okay?

Noah: y-yes!

Eren and I went towards the stairs and to the door. Opening it quietly the best we can as we both stepped inside. Closing it slowly as we walked around the house. I noticed a hammer on the floor and picked it up. Eren noticed and gave me a thumbs up while we continued. 

I lean my head on the wall to hear a conversation between the two. Not much but it sounded like the men we could check. I nod to eren as he motions me to hide in the other room across. Leaning against the wall as eren pulled on his act.

Eren: excuse me....

"hey you brat!"

A man's voice yelled as we stomped over to the door eren stood by. The door swung open as eren could clearly see inside. I peeked the corner as eren placed his fingertips to his palm twice.

Mikasa is there!

"what are you doing here?!"

Eren: (fake scared voice) erm....em..... I... was lost in the forest....and I saw this cabin...

"a kid shouldn't be walking around in the forest alone. There are scary wolves roaming there. But you won't have anything to worry about if you come with--"

Eren: Thanks, mister. I get it now, so die, you bastard!

Eren took the knife out as the man collapsed to the floor. The other man inside freaked out, standing up as eren closed the door. He ran over to me and grabbed a nearby broom. I held my hammer out the opposite side. Gripping it as tight as I could.

Hearing the man open the door, coming a few steps closer. I came out and---

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"

The man cried in pain as I moved aside for eren to stab the guy further. Launching his body back near mikasa. Eren dropped the broom to the side and climbed on the man. Reeling his arm back and stabbing him in the stomach over and over.

I stared shock until I saw mikasa tied and staring at eren. I run over to her as she noticed my presence. I lift her body up, making her sit on her knees for a bit as I untied the rope around her wrists. She grabbed her wrists and rubbed it gently. 

Noah: a-ano (mikasa turns to noah) y-you're mikasa, right?

Mikasa: (nods)

Eren: I'm eren. Dr. Yeager's son. I'm sure you've met him before. I tagged along with him to your house for medical examinations. This is my friend, noah stone. He came with us to meet you

Mikasa:....there should have been a third man

This shocked eren and I.

Noah: a third man?

As if I summoned him, the man was indeed there. Glaring at us as I tried to run and get the hammer. Instead, he kicked me over to the other side. 

Eren: Noah!!

Eren stood up and raced over to the guy, only for him to be pushed over to the wall. Eren fell down as he walked over to me. I slowly stood up but the man gripped my hair and lifted me up. His hands over to my neck as I felt my windpipe being blocked.

Noah: (choked) a-....a-d.....r.....u........

"I'LL KILL YOU!! I'LL MAKE YOU FEEL THE SAME PAIN LIKE I DID, KILLING THIS BRAT"

Eren: LET HIM GO!!

Eren stood up and attacked, only for him to be kicked and stomped on. Hard. He groaned in pain as he was stomped on over and over. Eren is in pain! I glare over at the man and kicked his chin. He stopped kicking but now, he chocked my neck even tigher.

I couldn't feel my body. It was taking me away, I let my arms fall down. Not knowing how traumatized mikasa and eren were...
