CHAPTER TWO: ANOTHER VOICE

After quickly changing out of her clothes and wiping off the excess paint, Wanda hopped onto her bike and began her travels towards the Forbidden Forest.

"Here I go!" Wanda's lips curl upward into a smile, cheering into the summer air and embracing the beautiful day. The sun was shining bright, the sky was clear of clouds and she could only hear the faint brush of the wind against her skin. Her hair was dancing behind her as she rode down the street and past by random people as they were going about their day. She weaved in and out, passing by strangers and even some classmates that she has talked with in the past.

Humans, zombies and pets were together in one place, which gave her a spark of hope. Wanda was growing to believe that things were changing for the better, yet she had to remain realistic in times like these. "There will always be the Z-Patrol and their supporters." She sighed softly to herself, wanting to release anything other than a frustrated cry.

Yet, she once again held those desires back once more. Instead, she focused on the road ahead of her and continued to peddle towards the forest. "Come on..you are almost there." Wanda tells herself with a brief sigh of discontent.

She zoomed down an empty road, where she was now far past city lines and inching even closer towards the entrance of the Forbidden Forest. The sounds of cars passing by were now longer heard and they were replaced by the wind brushing through the branches above her.  It was like entering the cave of wonders, but it was entering a world untouched by society. It was wild, but that was the way Wanda liked it.

She smiled to herself as she made a smooth turn down the trail, passing a familiar puddle. "Finally..." Her long locks flapped in the wind, like an old friend that wanted to play with her. Back at home. She thought to herself before releasing a gleeful giggle.

Unlike the most of the human population, that were fake and less-than-genuine, she felt more at home in the forest. Sure, she was here by herself and was about wander even deeper into the wild life, but she did not find a reason to care. It was the wild beauty that brought her here, and it was the sounds of the creatures that lived her...tempting her to stay.

She hums a little before stopping at her usual bike stop. "Reunited once again." She grins with a sense of accomplishment before hopping off and locking it. The warm sun elevating her good mood, yet she couldn't help but to voice how she truly felt through music. Music... Wanda pondered to herself as she glanced to the back of her, where her backpack was perched. She also peeked in to see her wooden flute within her bag, thinking of taking it out, but she instead left it in her bag and turned towards the sky where the sun shined.

With the warmth of it's rays, Wanda releases a gentle sigh before moving away from her bike. She has her hands on her bag straps and a gentle breeze caressing her skin until the feeling of love erupts from her lips, translating into a familiar song.

WANDA

Wise men say

Only fools rush in,

But I can't help falling in love with you.

Wanda began to sing softly with a warm tone, while she held her small hands out. She began to wander aimlessly, taking calm steps along the wild grass and hearing the soft crunch under her feet. It was a beautiful scene that could be compared to one in a movie, where the girl is singing by herself and maybe a handsome boy was watching her. Maybe. She thought with a shrug as her hair blew in the wind, but then another thought entered her mind.

Was I born in the wrong life?

She couldn't help but wonder to herself. Her eyes darkened with contemplation to this question, but she continued to sing the song that never failed to bring a smile onto her lips.

WANDA

Shall I stay

Would it be a sin,

If I can't help falling in love with you.

Her voice bounced off the trees, traveling quickly like she was throwing a ball against the side of the trees, only for it to richochet further and further away , until she couldn't hear it anymore. The echo, the gentle breeze and the suns rays made her smile even more, while the feeling of euphoria made a sigh seep from her glossed lips. The effect of her voice within the forest invited the sounds of the songbirds, chirps of animals, along with rustle of the leaves, and even a golden pair of eyes that watched her from a far.

Those pair of eyes belonged to a boy who stood proudly on a far point of the Forbidden Forest.

He was initially out to complete a task that his sister assigned for him, until he came across an unfamiliar scent. The smell was unfamiliar but it drastically triggered his senses to the point where he couldn't help but release a longing growl.

That smell. He thought to himself as his eyes flashed a brilliant gold while his fangs bared for a brief moment. He knew it was the smell of his mate, but he had to wait for the perfect timing to show himself. He was a werewolf, and he couldn't afford to lose what they could potentially have. So instead, he decides to join in the beautiful song.

UNKNOWN

Like a river flows

Surely to the sea

His eyes turned over and listened intently to the music made by simply a voice, only for it to send lovely shivers down his spine. It was like he remembered this song from many years ago, but it soon returned in the form of a female voice. "Lovely..." He uttered to himself while a small smile weaved onto his lips. Another growl rumbled from his throat until he heard gentle footsteps in the distance...specifically in front of him. His voice called to her and she was trying to find him, but he decided to continue the song in hopes of solidifying the connection between them.

Like an old saying goes, music is the universal language...it brings people together. And now all he needed to do was to bring her to him, so they can live the rest of their lives together as a destined couple.

UNKNOWN

Darling, so it goes

Some things are meant to be

His heart began to pound as he heard another heart pound in time with his. He took a few more steps towards the pounding heart, hoping that his senses weren't playing tricks on him until his suspicions were assured with the unfamiliar scent. Jasmine. He thought to himself before hearing a silent sigh from afar, as if she was looking for him as well. The thought made a small smile reappear on his lips, feeling warmed by the thought of it before he realized that they needed to continue this song.

And so he did.

UNKNOWN

Take my hand

Take my whole life too

For I can't help falling in love with you

WANDA

Like a river flows

Surely to the sea

Darling, so it goes

Some things are meant to be

UNKNOWN and WANDA

Take my hand

Take my whole life too

For I can't help falling in love with you

For I can't help falling in love with you

Their voices laced seamlessly together like silk binding together to create a masterpiece. The latter's warm tone made her smile along with a soft giggle. Whoever that is has a nice voice. She thought to herself, but her heart was cautiously pounding within her chest due to the fact that she is probably being watched. Well, more like she is, but she could not find the person watching her. Wanda was presumably alone at this point, yet she couldn't help but call out into the open.

"Who's there?" Wanda asked as the gentle wind brushed against her skin, while dancing around the frills of her dress.

"Wouldn't you like to know. " He teased, chuckling lightly as he strolled even closer, but he was still perfectly hidden from his view. He had a confident, almost smug kind of swagger that could attract the women around him, yet his eyes watched Wanda from afar. Her golden blonde hair danced within the wind, flapping over her blemish free face and shielding her eyes. He tilted his head slightly in curiosity, but he decided that he would find out later. Until then, his eyes trailed her beautiful form before questioning her movements. "Why did you stop singing, pretty thing?"

Wanda gasped in surprise, startled by the mysterious voice glanced to her side as she picked up on the warm tenor of a voice, but she could not find a face. It was like another soul was with her, but a feeling of comfort washed over her. She did not feel the need to run at that moment, but snapped out of her daze to answer his question. "I stopped because you startled me..." She replied in a gentle tone as the wind blew in her hair, flapping around her face to shield her eyes.

He continued to watch her from afar, yet he was able to see her pretty form clearly. "My bad, gorgeous.--" He apologized with a tone hinting a mischievous grin before he questioned her more. "--So, what's your name?"

"My name is Wanda..." She introduces herself with a curious tilt of her head, as she took a few steps down the trail within the open area of the Forbidden Forest. Her pupil-less eyes slowly scanned the area around her, taking in all of the detail and features within her proximity, but what really caught her attention was the male voice that was talking to her.

"Well, nice to meet you--" He replies until a longing growl seeps through his teeth, "--pretty thing." He chuckles to himself before taking in a deep breath, inhaling her intoxicating scent. It took a few seconds to take in the scent of Jasmine, which triggered a primal want and desire for the stranger, now Wanda with the gentle voice. She couldn't see him, but he could see her. And with the mind of a teenage boy, he definitely liked what he saw.

The low and husky voice sent a delightful chill down Wanda's spine, her body tensing as if the stranger was behind her, yet he wasn't.

"What's your name?"

"My name is Wyatt..." He casually replies to her with her scent almost making him dizzy in delight, yet he kept his cool composure while relaxing by a large boulder at a far distance to watch her wander around in determination to find him. From a distance, he watched amusedly as Wanda looked around curiously like little red riding hood. Such an adorable...pretty little thing. He thought to himself with a growing smirk before gracefully flipping off the boulder, moving a little closer until he ended behind another tree where Wanda was on the other side.

As he ended behind the tree, her scent became even stronger to him where his primal side was clawing at the surface, shouting at him, telling him to take her into his arms and meet the gaze of the girl who was made to be his partner. But instead, he decides to wait for the perfect time to properly show his face and it will be the time where she won't run away from him.

Wanda smiled softly to herself, her bottom lip curling inward until it was caught between her teeth. She was tingling with curiosity and anticipation towards the mysterious observer, but she couldn't ruin what they were creating together now. Not now. She told herself before letting out a bell-like giggle. "It's nice to meet you too, Wyatt."

Wyatt's previously smug and playful smile washed away, only to replace it with an adoring one. She was perfect, but he still hasn't seen her eyes. It was like he was missing an important piece of the puzzle, yet he told his primal side to be patient. "Calm down, Wyatt." He told himself as he listened to the sound of her heart beating a much calmer rate. Good. She is getting comfortable around you.

"She will be yours soon. Just don't scare her away." He coached himself before peeking over slightly. "What is a pretty thing like you all alone,--" He started off, while adding another teasing growl to tell her that he is close by. "--in this forest?"

"I wanted to get away from the city." She answered honestly as she turned to her left, assuming that he was on the left side, but with the echo within the forest, he could be anywhere.

"Oh, and why is that?" He tilted his head, while still hiding from her.

"I guess you can say, I feel more at home here. In the forest." She admitted with a thoughtful look on her face.

"The forest holds many mysteries, Wanda.--" He informed her with a warm tone, while his primal side forced out a longing rumble within his chest. "--And it is also the home to dangerous creatures." He added as he looks up to see that there was a hole within a tree that shows off Wanda's neck and her shoulder. Her smooth skin was waiting to be touched, tempting Wyatt to take in the sensation of her skin under his fingertips...but should he?

Oh, pretty thing. I want to touch you. Wyatt confesses honestly like any hormonal teenage boy would towards a gorgeous girl like Wanda...yet the fear of being discovered was high until the next sentence slipped from his lips. "It would be a shame to know that another ruthless beast had you." His words dripped with possessiveness over her.

Wanda couldn't help but blush by the blatant flirting initiated by the stranger, and apparently he could sense that without even being in front of her.

He chuckled lowly under his breath, "Have I rendered you speechless, pretty thing?" Wyatt questioned her with a smirk in his tone, listening to Wanda's rapid heart beat and the sound of her bated breath while standing on the other side of the tree.

Wanda's eyes widened as she felt like he cornered her somewhere, but she was by herself in this area. He wasn't in front of her. He wasn't anywhere where she could see him, but she knew that he was around and he was definitely enjoying this conversation. Dang tease. She wanted to pout, but something else came out instead of her usual act of rebuttal or protest. "How would you know that?--"

She tried to counter with a mock confident tone, but the feeling of him watching her made her tense up and not in the normally unnerving way. "--I-I can't see you-u.." She added as the attempted act of confidence quickly washed away, only to leave a shy and flustered girl with only the caress of the mysterious voice.

"It is true, you can't see me." Wyatt admitted with a shrug, due to the position that he was in. Yet, he couldn't help but smirk once more due to the growing excitement of getting under her skin in the best way possible. "But I can feel you...--" His voice quiets down into a husky tone, taking a step even closer. "--I can smell your scent from miles away and it drives me mad...--" He admits as he hears her heart pick up the pace within her body.

"--I can hear your heart beating fast in reaction to every word I speak, the way your breath hitches as I circle you, taking careful steps closer to you." Wyatt tells her softly as he moves even closer, which triggers Wanda to move slightly away from him to the left side out of shyness. He stops in trepidation, wondering if she would turn around and finally look at him, but after seconds of waiting...he sees that she doesn't move a muscle.

"Hmmm..." Wyatt hummed to himself before taking a few steps closer. His eyes fall from her long golden locks, trailing down to her bare neck then down to her bare shoulder. There were no blemishes and the frills of her dress dancing in the wind made her angelic from his view, but the anticipation of seeing her in the front view made his inner wolf whine in desperation. He and his inner wolf wanted her, but was quieted down from a gulp coming from Wanda.

Wyatt cocked a brow in curiosity. "Are you trying to shy away from me, Wanda?"

"I don't know..." Wanda replied honestly. "But, something in my heart tells me to stay with you. Every time I come to the forest, I always felt like I would meet someone here. I just didn't know who."

Wyatt listened intently, breathing in her scent that continues to tempt him in many ways, but as he should, he keeps his inner wolf reigned in. "Is that so?"

"Yes..." Wanda replied with a now whispered, breathless voice. It was like she finished running a marathon, yet she did not move at all. "Now, that I hear your voice...I feel like that person is you. I just don't want it to be a dream. So...--" She trails off before deciding to close her eyes so she could not see anything. "I will keep my eyes closed so this does not have to end...--" She promises as she hears him step a little closer.

"--N-n-not just yet. I promise" She ends with a nervous stutter before she feels a few fingers slowly cascade down her right arm, leaving a line of hot fire in it's wake, the sensation triggered her to release a stuttered breath, which also made Wyatt chuckle.

"You promise?" Wyatt questions her as his fingers continue their travel until they end at her hand. His hand carefully reaches for hers, waiting for a response before he feels hers reach out in return. He then laces their fingers together in a gentle grasp, taking a step closer until his chest was closely pressed against her back. "Do you swear to me, my pretty...pretty thing?" He adds with a low tone, loaded with possessiveness towards her.

"I-I-I.....--" Wanda tries to reply to his very loaded question, but his presence and the feeling of his hand wrapped around hers...then his other hand moving up towards her throat. Oh...Wanda wanted to sigh out in acceptance to his advances, but there was something else within her that wanted to come out. It was like something that was tempting her learned patience and restraint to have whomever was behind her.

It was something sort of...primal, yet natural to her.

A delightful and terrifying feeling at the same time, but she couldn't find the motivation to move away from dizziness that was caused by him.

A low and wanting growl sounded from behind her, only to be hidden in the tresses of her hair while his hand wrapped around her throat in a possessive manner. His inner wolf was getting even more and more excited as he watches her tilt her head to the side to expose her throat in what nature would call submission to a higher power. It made the human side of him, a hormonal teenage boy even more tempted. My pretty thing, I finally found you.

"Do you swear to me, my pretty Wanda?" He questions once more, but using her name that slipped seamlessly from his lips and spoken so easily like they have been together for many years. Yet they were strangers, but that will change...once that promise is made. He just had to push a little further. He was slowly abandoning his human side, only to leave his inner wolf that is pounding the barrier between self control and misbehavior.

He growls again, but at a much lower rumble to tempt her even further and maybe even mark her until he hears a loud shout.

"HELLO!?"

From the moment he hears the intruding voice, Wyatt reluctantly releases her from his embrace, growling in frustration towards the interruption of their strong connection. He was slowly losing himself in her essence, but before he was going to disappear from her inner space, he briefly leans into the back of her neck, breathing in her sweet scent before whispering against her smooth skin.

"We will see each other again." Wyatt promises softly before leaving a gentle kiss as his goodbye, then quickly disappearing into the forest before Wanda opens her eyes.

"H-uhh?"
