Two Icewings flew through the skies in the direction of the newly formed Jade Mountain Academy. The first Icewing had many scars as if he had fought in a war while the second ones wings were slightly larger than the first and bore warmer, yet very pale, colors.

"C'mon Snow, you can't be that tired, you've been awake since dawn." The male Icewing called back to the younger female behind him.

"I know dad, I wasn't doing anything though, so I'm tired now." The female told the male as she started to fly beside her father.

Both of them stared forward as they kept flying in the direction of the Jade mountain. academy.

"Why did mom sight me up for school again?" Snow asked as she looked at her father.

" Because you spend too much time in your room and trying to pick frights with that Red kid."

"Maybe I wouldn't fight if Red decided to keep his jaws closed." Snow growled as she thought of the Skywing. Red had been the first Skywing, apart from her mother, that Snow had meet and she did not like the male.

-Flashback-

Snow's mother had to go and get some more herbs for medicines as she had made a living off of selling medical supplise to the other tribes. Snow had decided to acompany her mother to the Skywing market place which was where she meet Red the Skywing. He seamed to be an ok guy to hang out with until Snow asked the one question that sparked their rivalry.

"What do you think of hybrids?" The question had been asked innocently enough by the younger Snow as she walked with Red, wanting to make sure she could trust the Skywing.

"Ha! Those fools, their nothing but punching bags. The best their used for would be battles in the arena if Scarlet was still queen." The Skywing said with an amused and disgusted tone.

Snow stoped on her tracks and stared at Red in disbelief.

"Are-are you serious?!" She asked, feeling attacked and betrayed. Red just nodded and stared back at Snow.

"What, dont you think that too, your an Icewing after all." He told her. Snow groweld and extended her wings, showing their full length.

"Im a hybrid, I am an Icewing and a Skywing." She told him, angerd. Red stared at her and growled.

"Should have said so sooner!" The Skywing groweld and launched himself at Snow.

Snow roard as she lifted herself on her hinds and meet Red with bared teeth. Once Red reached Snow she slamed the male onto the ground and growled in his face.

Red slashed at her, getting her a bit under the eye and up her right forearm making Snow lossen her grip letting Red kick her off him. Snow winced but cought herself before falling.

Red growled and blew fire at Snow, who met the fire with her own blue flames. After some fighting both Snow mother and reds parent broke them apart.

"What is wrong with your disgrace of a child?!" Reds mother asked Crimson, whom only growled.

"From the wounds I can tell you that it was YOUR disgrace of a child that attacked my daughter." Snow mother growled as she signaled Snow to get beside her.

Snow obliged and limped beside her mother mostly to try nd prevent any more fighting as she was tired and didn't want her mother to get into truble.

-End of flashback-

Snow snaped out of her memory trance as her hind talons tuched the ground. She looked around at all of the dragonets that were waiting for the teachers, the dragonets of destiny, to anounce the new school year.

"Well, what do you think Snow?" Her father asked as he looked around at all of the dragonets and their parents.

"Its not bad, not gonna lie." She responded as she readjusted her wings to a more comfortable position. As she looked aroumd she noticed how some dragons of difrent tribes were already talking with each other.

The more she looked the calmer she felt, well, that was until she noticed the red of a sertain Skywing. She unintentionaly snareld, getting some dragons to look at her with concern and fear.

Snow's father taped her with his wing making her look at him. It took her less than a second to relize what she had done.

"Crud, their goes that little bit of trust." She mutterd face palming.

After about three hours Snow looked over at three specific dragons. A Mudwing, a Seawing, she guessed, and a multicolored Sandwing.

The Mudwing was sitting beside a female Nighwing as he held his wings in, feeling akward by how he was standing and looking around at all of the other dragonets.

The Seawing held her wings in tighly and looked around nervously as she sat next to a male Seawing, most likely her father, whom kept a wing over her and seamed to be trying to calm her down as much as he could, scared by the looks of it.

And the multicolored Sandwing seamed to be having a blast as he talked with many diffrent dragonets whom made one of two faces, a smile at having someone so happy around, or an annoyed face at the bright Sandwings smile.

As Snow was deciding wheather or not to go and talk to them out came Tsunami followed by Clay, then Sunny and Starflight lead by Fatespeaker(was that her name? I cant remember.)

"Welcome one and all to the Jade Mountain Academy!" Tsunami called in a powerfull voice, cousing all of the dragonets and their parents to look over.
